“I cannot recommend Julia and Tony enough. You get your dig cared for and the best pictures and videos throughout the day. (Pictures you would pay someone to take) Belle is a nervous dog but her second day she was running through the day excited for a another day there. Amazing service thank you both!”

“I was really pleased we got to do a meet and greet before leaving Cookie for the day. She was really relaxed and seemed to get on well with Karen's dogs. On the day, Karen shared lots of pictures of Cookies day and it was obvious she had a good time as she didn't really want to leave! I would definitely leave Cookie with Karen again. Thanks for taking care of our pup!”

“Annie has been amazing with Ruby, she is normally wary of strangers but after the initial meet and greet, Ruby snuggled next to Annie and was very relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. Would recommend Annie to all doggy parents, and will certainly book another appointment with her!”

About: I have multiple years of volunteering experience with RSPCA and Blue Cross, as both a shelter volunteer and cat fosterer (currently not fostering). I also petsat regularly on Rover during my final year of uni, and now that my job is settled and I am aware of how much flexibility I am afforded, I'm back to take care of your pets! I work from home so my work is flexible enough to accommodate any pet's needs. I have one flatmate with family pet experience and a partner that comes round occasionally who works on a farm with cat, dog, and livestock training and experience. My mother was a vet’s assistant when I was very young so her passion for animals has meant we always had dogs or cats or ferrets growing up. I've always loved to have pets around with a soft spot for small dogs but so much love for all shapes and sizes. I am a full time software tester working from home, and have very flexible days so I have lots of room to give your pets the attention they need. I don’t currently offer care for pets outside my own home, though would consider in future. I live in a two bed house with a housemate and a partner who comes round on their day off (please note my housemate is male so if your pets have any issues with men I am probably not the sitter for you unfortunately!) I have experience with both reactive/anxious and more easygoing pets and can tailor their care to fit your preferred routine with ease. I have my own car and can pickup/dropoff for petrol money (50p/mile), and I don’t smoke :)
“The boys had a lovely time with Michael today for a day of doggy daycare. It’s the first time we’ve left them with someone else and they were both super settled and comfortable which was amazing as they can be quite nervous souls. Michael’s communication has been faultless all the way through and we had some lovely updates whilst we enjoyed our dog-free day out.”

“Jenni is just amazing with our dog Jazz! She walks her regularly and has her for doggy daycare. Jazz absolutely loved her stay with her and her dog Biscuit! Jenni sends lots of photos and is very reassuring if you are worried about leaving your dog for the first time. Would recommend her without hesitation.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was 8 years old, when my family adopted our first dog, Tom. Since then, we’ve rescued three more, giving me plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I also volunteer at Manchester Dogs' Home, where I’ve gained confidence in walking and handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments. In addition, I’ve spent time caring for puppies, including dog-sitting for my friend’s Dachshund, Maverick. While my family dog, Tula, now lives with my mum abroad and I miss her dearly, I’d love to have more dogs in my life. I’m excited to share my love for dogs and my experience with yours, whether they’re big or small, young or old. I live by Fog Lane Park and am only a short walk from the River Mersey - perfect dog walking locations! I am also free on some weekends. I provide calm, reliable, and loving care tailored to each pet’s routine and personality. Whether pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-looked-after. I stick closely to feeding, walking, medication, and play schedules, and I’m always mindful of home routines and boundaries. I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep owners updated with regular photos and messages for peace of mind.
“I could not recommend Sarasa enough!! We needed a last minute dog day care and she was so kind to accept this. We knew looking at her profile it was a good fit. When we arrived at Sarasa’s she invited us in and introduced us to her lovely little Frenchy! We left Nala feeling very happy and secure in our decision just from meeting Sarasa as she is so welcome and friendly and has a lovely home. We were updated regularly all day with how Nala we were also sent a video of Nala out on a lovely walk. She has come home very tired but very happy! I will definitely be using Sarasa’s doggy day care services for future trips and holidays! Can not thank her enough! X”

“We had to book for our whippet very last minute due to being let down by alternative arrangements. Molly was really fast to reply, great comms & Finn seemed to be perfectly at ease. Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook if needed in future. Thank you xx”

“Ko looked after my 7 month puppy for day care. He so clearly loves dogs and equally clearly appears to be very capable in looking after them and their individual needs. Luna will be returning, thank you Ko 🙏”

“Took all of our needs into consideration, really friendly and made sure my little baby was looked after. Was also a quick change of times and no problem! Would use again for sure! Thanks Samatha 😌”

About: I am the proud Cat Mama of a 3 year golden tabby rescue named Butters and a 2 year old silver tabby named Morpheus. They rule the house! I live in Cheadle Heath and can travel around the Cheadle / Hazel Grove / Stockport area. I can also travel to Levenshulme , Longsight and Manchester City Centre however this will increase my rate by £1 per visit. As of August 17th I am free to Cat sit full time. I had four beloved cats growing up. I often cat sit for friends when they are away and cat sit privately. I administer complex medication as part of my human job so please let me know if you need me to help with kitty meds! I haven’t done injectable meds before however can do this with a test run being shown to me. I also have an enhanced DBS check. I can be free at any time to visit your pets if given enough notice. If it is dog walking I would do this early morning or around 4pm. In my home I have 2 cats who are indoor at night and come in and out during the day. I currently do not have pets to come to stay at our home as one of my cats is a rescue and can be scared of other animals.
“Neda has been amazing with my little dog, she has kept me updated through his stay, and I can see he’s had a great time with Neda. He loves attention, and loves playing in the garden, I can see he got well looked after. She had been a life saver. I would use Neda again.”

Absolutely brilliant dog sitter! Rocco was so well looked after and came home happy and settled. It was clear he had a lovely time and was really cared for. I had great communication throughout and felt completely at ease knowing he was in good hands. Would definitely recommend and use again!

This was the first time we had used any doggy care for Mabel our Cocker Spaniel. We are delighted with the care Mabel had and at short notice. Negar kept us informed during the day with photos and short videos because she realised we were anxious about leaving Mabel with anyone. When we picked Mabel up she was her usual happy self. Relaxed but tail wagging ready to play. Thank you Negar for your care and attention showed to our fur baby. 🐾🐾❤️

Anna-Rita and her partner were amazing dog sitters :) gave him the breakfast I brought over, had toys ready for him to play with. Basil had a cosy time in the house sleeping and playing all day, and had a lovely walk through Reddish Vale. Anna-Rita provided us with images all day, had fast replies, and basil had a really nice day :) thanks Anna-Rita we will be booking again x

Chloe was lovely with Chip. He can be a little temperamental at first but he soon warmed up to Chloe within 10 mins of being dropped off, where I felt comfortable leaving him. When I came back to pick him up they were best friends and he was very happy in her company, almost as if he didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend Chloe if you are looking for a dog sitter.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
