About: I have taken care of pets since I was 13, been a very responsible owner and always cared for my pet’s wellbeing. No matter if it is my family dog, or my roommate’s cat, or a dog sitting request, I always pay full attention and care and love for our furry friends! I understand the struggle and the separation anxiety when it comes to dogs as my Dor Dor was a rescue and have lived a full and happy life before she went to doggy heaven. Having animal companions helps me stay active and joyous in caring for them, I love going on long walks and so it is quite a win win situation for you and me! I mainly work from home during the week, which is perfect for pets who requires more attention and separation anxiety as I can be in person and as attentive and caring as possible! Since I live by myself, there are no pets or roommates to surprise your dogs. My home is located right next to a huge park which is perfect for long walks or frequent walks!

About: I have always had pets growing up. I have previously worked for the RSPCA as an animal carer, I have experience with all sizes of dogs and cats from very young to very old. As well as private dog sitting/walking in the past. I am comfortable grooming animals as well. I have a degree in psychology with a focus on animal behaviour, and I will be starting my animal behaviour and welfare masters in October. Currently looking for regular or one off clients. I am starting a masters in animal behaviour and welfare in October and I am wanting to continue animal care over the summer before starting. As my course has not yet started, I currently have plenty of time in the day to spend with your furry friends! I have a lot of pet sitting and caring experience through previous roles as an animal carer. I am also DBS checked. I understand how important routine is for your animals, so I am happy to follow your schedules to ensure your pet is well cared for.
“Jamie took excellent care of Wilma. His dog Carlton is very friendly and Wilma had a great time with him. Jamie was easy to communicate with and I'd definitely book him again.”

About: I have grown up with all kinds of animals from fish, cats, dogs and horses. True animal lover. I have my own pooch who to me is like a child, very spoilt and cared for. I'm now retired and have plenty of time to help fur mummy's or daddy's go to work without worrying about leaving their fur babies for long periods of time. I'm a trustworthy person who will help keep your pet active and comfortable throughout the day 🙂 I'm retired plenty of time to help others get on with their own work or to enjoy free time to do something they like doing best. I have a fenced garden with grassed areas surrounding my home. We go the park lots and the beach when possible. My dog Alfie is very sociable and will mix with other small dogs. He has the run of our home and will sleep on my bed or my lap. He loves his treats and squeaky toys and zoomies!!

“Imogen facilitated a super fast meet and greet so I could make a last minute placement that had been sprung on me and we are so glad to find her - nothing was too much trouble and Jackson was super settled in Imogen’s company 😊”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
