About: I'm offering dog-walking, doggy daycare and overnight sitting in the Calder Valley. For dog-walking, I can collect your dog from your home, take them for an hour's walk and drop them back home. I can run or walk (and, of course, play Stick) with energetic dogs or do more chilled walks with smaller and elderly dogs. For sitting and day-care: I have a small fenced back yard for fresh air breaks but mostly your dog will be with me in my living-dining room, getting one to one attention - lots of games and cuddles. My house backs onto woods and fields for regular walks. I can look after older dogs who need regular toilet breaks (although my house does have steps up to it). I don't have my own dog (sadly, I can't commit to a full-time dog). I will never take on a second dog from another family without both families’ express permission first, so you have peace of mind that your dog will be my sole priority and there's no risk of fights and injury. My favourite breeds are the retriever and the sight-hounds families; I also love cockerpoos, daschunds and border terriers, in fact I’m discovering new favourite breeds all the time! I prefer not to take jack russells, akitas, rottweilers or dobermans. I work from home. I enjoy hiking, running and going to pubs and cafes, so if your dog is well behaved they can come everywhere with me. My garden is I fenced (I only have a small fenced yard) so I rely on taking the dogs for regular walks in the woods.
“Pico's first experience of daycare, and quite apparent that he loved every minute with Sandy. Location is absolutely brilliant, with play field and traffic-free towpath walks a short hop away.”

“My Delilah had a wonderful time with Amy , Amy was an absolute pleasure to leave my dog with , she kept me updated though out the day with photos for her playing and also asleep .. I’d definitely use Amy’s services again .. Amy comes highly recommended.”

“Charly stayed with Emma for a day for the first time and she was in doggy heaven - as soon as she went in their house she was comfortable and happy. Emma and her family are so welcoming and caring. Totally fabulous. Emma sent me pictures of Charly out on her walk so I knew she was ok (she was living her best life!). 10/10.”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and absolutely love caring for them. As a teenager, our family always had 2–3 dogs of all sizes — from small breeds like Maltese to Cockapoos and bigger ones too. I regularly dog sat and helped care for them. As an adult, I’ve looked after a Rottweiler for 2 years and a Beagle for 4 years. I have plenty of experience training puppies to go potty outside, as well as teaching older dogs new tricks and good habits. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy giving dogs the attention and care they deserve. I've recently moved into the area of Todmorden, I am very flexible with my availability and can look after any day and time as I plan to make this a full time business. I have a 2 bedroom house and a garden (I'm currently working on finishing it end of week to be fully closed off) and I live within 5 minute walk from the local park for regular walks if needed. I will respect anyone's home as if my own if needing a check in for food and toilet breaks if needed too. I have no dogs of my own so either there will be company of up to 4 dogs or if specified I will go solo on occasions if possible which we can discuss.
About: Hi, I’m Claire I only care for one dog at a time, so your dog will be the only guest in a calm, relaxed home. I work best with dogs that are settled in a normal home routine, happy to snooze, potter around the house, enjoy their walks, and relax afterwards. My aim is to give them a peaceful stay where they feel secure rather than overstimulated. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of many breeds over the years and understand how important consistency is. I will follow your pet’s usual routine closely so they can settle quickly and feel comfortable. I’m fully insured and qualified in Pet First Aid, and I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy and settled. To keep the environment calm for all pets in my care, I’m best suited to animals that: • are house trained • can be left briefly without distress • sleep through the night • are comfortable in a home setting If that sounds like your pet, I’d love to hear from you and learn their usual routine and favourite things. Qualifications: Pet Care Certificate Professional Pet Sitting Diploma Advanced Pet First Aid I work from home full time and walk three times a day; usually around 8am, 1pm and 6pm, however this can be changed to suit. I live in an apartment with plenty of space, however there are a few dogs in the building which yours is likely to meet so needs to be fine with them. My building is secure with an underfloor car park so when going in the car, your pet won’t leave the building until they’re belted in. I can adapt my place to suite your pet’s needs and they will be allowed in any room. I can also stick to any rules you may already have for them.

About: We are a dog-loving family with over 40 years of experience caring for pets, and opening our home as pet sitters felt like the perfect way to share that passion. Dogs have always been part of our lives, and we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. At home we have two friendly dogs of our own – a gentle old beagle and a playful Boston terrier who both enjoy meeting new friends. However, we completely understand that some dogs prefer their own space, so we are able to separate dogs if needed to make sure every pet feels comfortable and relaxed. Our home has a secure enclosed garden for safe playtime, and we’re lucky to have great walking routes right on our doorstep, perfect for daily adventures. We aim to provide a calm, caring home-from-home environment where your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. 🐶 We can offer home boarding where your pet can stay with us and will be treated like our our own. Walks, plays, sofa cuddles. Upto 2x dogs. We can seprate our dogs if needed, they can have there own bed or crate, whatever they need. There will always be at least 1 adult around 24/7 when your pet stays with us. We are a family of 3 humans and 2 dogs, our son is well aware that every dog has different needs and has been around lots of dogs, horses, sheep and helped bottle feed puppies from birth. He can also give your dog space if that's what they need. Fully secured garden for toilet breaks, but most of the time we can walk down to the river in 5 mins from our house, explore the woods or go upto the moors. At weekends your pets will have full time care from At least 1 adult. During week we work from home but go walks 2 to 3 times a day and have a safe enclosed garden option at all times I have a fenced garden, we have a old beagle that keeps to himself and a playful Boston terrier if your dog wants to play. Or we can keep them seprate and have 1 on 1 time with your pet

Sandy was great with Jasper! He’s quite anxious but he settled quickly, enjoyed a long walk & chilled happily for most of the day. Sandy sent lots of pictures and videos through the day & was flexible around drop off and pick up - which was really helpful. If we’re ever back in Hebden, I’d love to bring Jasper back!
