About: Hey there! I'm Ellie and I live in Hebden Bridge. I've looked after dogs since I was a kid and always grown up with them by my side. I have also fostered dogs recently so I'm used to dogs who may be nervous or worried with a new space! I'm a big animal lover and can send as many updates to you as you'd like. From walking dogs, to providing day care, or hosting them in my house overnight, your pups will be safe with me (as long as theyre down for some reality trash TV!). Please note that I do not have access to a car sadly, so dogs would either need to be nearby in Hebden Bridge, or you would need to drop them off for home stays. I'm currently working fully from home with very few meetings, so I can easily take your pup out for a lot of nice walks in the area (there's a woodland and park nearby). Other than that, we can relax at my house where they're welcome to sleep on the sofas or play around on the rug. I have no garden but have fostered dogs successfully before, and made sure to take them out every few hours so they can relieve themselves.
“As everyone else’s review said - absolutely delighted with our Luna’s stay with Charlotte. We received pictures and updates daily, which was great as we were missing Luna quite a bit. Highly recommended!”

“Just perfect. First time we have left our Wilf with anymore but we were left at ease as soon as we met Joe Kept updating us with how Wilf was doing and he’s been a very happy boy. Thank you Joe. Wilf will be seeing you again soon. 🥰”

“Freddie has just come back from a short stay at Carol's, where he was made well and truly at home. He clearly revelled in all the attention he got. It's nice to feel confident that he is in such good hands and he will certainly look forward to his next holiday. Thank you!”
“Emma and family have been great looking after Luna our one year old springador. Excellent communicator and really accommodating with pick up and drop off times. Will continue to use Emma for all our future dog sitting and recommend her to others as well.”

“Amy has been a fantastic dog sitter for Elsie, who is only a puppy, so hard work. We have had regular photos of daily outings and messages to keep us updated. Amy genuinely loves dogs and we couldn’t have hoped for a better sitter for Elsie.”

“Tom & Laura, Thank you for being a wonderful host to our 2 Boston Terriers. Our first meeting was greeted with warmth from the start and gave us confidence to leave our dogs with you. We felt at ease and reassured that our dogs would be left in a loving home whilst we were away for 5 days. It was great to regularly receive updates via texts along with pictures of them out on walks and playing in a safe and secure garden. What was really nice was the feedback about our dogs it was so accurate and this showed us you had taken the time to get to known their behaviours and characters. We would have no hesitation leaving our dogs with you again when we go away on our summer hols or any short breaks in the future. We have no doubts they enjoyed their stay with you all and would 100% recommend you to our family & friends. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for looking after our dogs who are our family. ♥️ Hughie & Rachelle”

“Sandy was brilliant with Indy! Great communication and flexibility with meet & greet, pick up and drop off. She really looked after him and he had lots of fun on walks. He slept really well on his return home! We will definitely look to book with Sandy again 😊”

“Home boarding, overnight stay booked with Tania. She was friendly, caring and professional. My dog settled quickly in Tania's home after Tania took the time to get to know her. It was reassuring to know my dog was in good hands. Highly recommend. Thank you Tania 😊”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and absolutely love caring for them. As a teenager, our family always had 2–3 dogs of all sizes — from small breeds like Maltese to Cockapoos and bigger ones too. I regularly dog sat and helped care for them. As an adult, I’ve looked after a Rottweiler for 2 years and a Beagle for 4 years. I have plenty of experience training puppies to go potty outside, as well as teaching older dogs new tricks and good habits. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy giving dogs the attention and care they deserve. I've recently moved into the area of Todmorden, I am very flexible with my availability and can look after any day and time as I plan to make this a full time business. I have a 2 bedroom house and a garden (I'm currently working on finishing it end of week to be fully closed off) and I live within 5 minute walk from the local park for regular walks if needed. I will respect anyone's home as if my own if needing a check in for food and toilet breaks if needed too. I have no dogs of my own so either there will be company of up to 4 dogs or if specified I will go solo on occasions if possible which we can discuss.

“Evie gives out a very calm aura which was very therapeutic for our 2 dogs, who thoroughly enjoyed their stay and didn't seem to miss us 1 bit. She was very mindful of the weather, caring and welcoming. She let the dogs feel at home. We certainly would ask Evie to help us out again as Piggly Wiggly and Charlie would love another holiday with her! Linda and Paddy”

“Maggie had a wonderful weekend with Rachel and Lister, she has had plenty of long walks and Rachel kept us updated with lots of photos. Rachel asked about Maggie's routine and mirrored this in her home too, we have booked her next stay already.”

“Really pleasant and accommodating sitter with whom my dogs seem to have had a lovely day. Calum's own dog is sweet and happy with other dogs and he lives in a great location with easy access to great walks (not that my two are terribly energetic). Helpful and friendly I would use again happily and recommend,”

About: I’ve grown up with a large rescue dog and have always been around them, so caring for dogs feels very natural to me. I’ve looked after different dogs with a range of personalities, so I’m confident adapting to their needs — whether that’s energetic walks, playtime, or a calm and comforting environment. What sets me apart is- I’m very attentive and patient. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine and behaviour so they feel safe and settled while you’re away. I’m also comfortable caring for more sensitive or anxious dogs, making sure they feel secure and well looked after. Me and my family rescued a stray dog who was very anxious and had some behavioural issues, but with patience, love & consistency, she came out of her shell and we loved her more than anything in this world. I know it can be so anxiety provoking to leave your pet with someone and I understand how that feels firsthand- but we would do everything in our power to give your dog the best time in a safe, happy home :) x Between me and my husband Paul, we work full time, but different hours so the longest time a dog would be alone would be 8 hours. I work shifts so I have 4 days off a week where I would have time to go for long walks & spend time in nature, and my partner works an office job so can go for walks before and after work, as well as weekends. I live in a safe flat, with lovely neighbours and surrounded by nature, with beautiful walks nearby & a park as well. I would provide a safe loving home for dogs who I am looking after, and they would be my utmost priority.
“Daniel and Sam were amazing dog sitters 💛 it was my first time using Rover and they made me feel so comfortable leaving Jeff with them for the night. They sent me regular updates and took Jeff on plenty of adventures, like he was on a little holiday! 🥰 thank you both so much for looking after Jeff so well, he definitely thinks you’re his new best buds 🥰”

“Sue looked after my cat for a week. I received regular photo updates from Sue to assure me that my cat was doing well. I would definitely recommend her and will book her services again.”

“This is the first time we have used a pet sitting service for our cats so was a little unsure what to expect. Elisa has been fantastic! Proving us with updates for each visit and photographs was really nice and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Elisa to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Samantha was great - she followed Caspian’s routine and kept me updated with loads of photos. He was very happy when I got home and if I’m honest I think he’s been missing her since! Will definitely ask her to look after Caspian again in the future, as he clearly had a great time. Would enthusiastically recommend Samantha to anyone considering a sitter!”

“Alixe was very gentle with my two cats and successfully administered their de-flea and de-worm topical treatments with minimal stress to my pets. I would definitely have Alixe back to help out with my cats in the future as she was friendly and kind.”

About: Currently I work part time from home teaching English online. I can only accept dogs that are happy to have 4 hours of downtime while I’m online! Outside of that I have a lot of time for walks and play, it’s really a pleasure to have a dog in the house, even when I can't commit to having my own full time at the moment as I often travel. Happy to have rescues / anxious dogs as I used to have a rescue Greyhound and we can offer a quiet calm environment at home. Also happy to arrange a meet and greet before hand so your dog can meet me before they come to stay and you can let me know their requirements! I usually work 9-1, so will fit in a 45 minute walk before this and a 45 minute walk after. I have breaks in between classes I’d anyone needs a wee break and happy to really do as many walks as your dog would like! I'm available 7 days a week for bookings, but don’t work Sunday or Monday for any higher energy dogs that I can’t accept when I have work. I have a small yard and no other pets, so your dog/cat will have reign of the house! I live with my best friend, Alex, who is also a big animal lover and mostly works from home so there will always be one of us free for belly rubs.

About: While I lived in Manchester, I used to care for my landladies’ cat when they went away. I lived with their cat for 3 years. Most of my paid jobs have been for dogs but I am more than happy to care for cats and have also had experience caring for an elderly cat requiring daily medication.

So Monday to Friday I am free in afternoon and at the weekends I am free all day. Happy to help whenever. I can help with whatever you need help with, feeding, checking on pets, walking dogs. Perfect for high energy dogs - Heptonstall
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.
About: I'm offering dog-walking, doggy daycare and overnight sitting in the Calder Valley. For dog-walking, I can collect your dog from your home, take them for an hour's walk and drop them back home. I can run or walk (and, of course, play Stick) with energetic dogs or do more chilled walks with smaller and elderly dogs. For sitting and day-care: I have a small fenced back yard for fresh air breaks but mostly your dog will be with me in my living-dining room, getting one to one attention - lots of games and cuddles. My house backs onto woods and fields for regular walks. I can look after older dogs who need regular toilet breaks (although my house does have steps up to it). I don't have my own dog (sadly, I can't commit to a full-time dog). I will never take on a second dog from another family without both families’ express permission first, so you have peace of mind that your dog will be my sole priority and there's no risk of fights and injury. My favourite breeds are the retriever and the sight-hounds families; I also love cockerpoos, daschunds and border terriers, in fact I’m discovering new favourite breeds all the time! I prefer not to take jack russells, akitas, rottweilers or dobermans. I work from home. I enjoy hiking, running and going to pubs and cafes, so if your dog is well behaved they can come everywhere with me. My garden is I fenced (I only have a small fenced yard) so I rely on taking the dogs for regular walks in the woods.

“My Delilah had a wonderful time with Amy , Amy was an absolute pleasure to leave my dog with , she kept me updated though out the day with photos for her playing and also asleep .. I’d definitely use Amy’s services again .. Amy comes highly recommended.”

“Carol and Graham were great... They looked after our little girl as if she was one of their own. They are professional, committed and loving and we couldn't have asked for anymore. Boo returned exercised and relaxed that evening having been looked after and loved all day. I can't recommend these lovely people enough, but be quick they understandably get booked up very quickly! My Boo loved her short break and says she will be back... Thank you😊”

“Charly stayed with Emma for a day for the first time and she was in doggy heaven - as soon as she went in their house she was comfortable and happy. Emma and her family are so welcoming and caring. Totally fabulous. Emma sent me pictures of Charly out on her walk so I knew she was ok (she was living her best life!). 10/10.”

About: Hi, I’m Claire I only care for one dog at a time, so your dog will be the only guest in a calm, relaxed home. I work best with dogs that are settled in a normal home routine, happy to snooze, potter around the house, enjoy their walks, and relax afterwards. My aim is to give them a peaceful stay where they feel secure rather than overstimulated. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of many breeds over the years and understand how important consistency is. I will follow your pet’s usual routine closely so they can settle quickly and feel comfortable. I’m fully insured and qualified in Pet First Aid, and I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy and settled. To keep the environment calm for all pets in my care, I’m best suited to animals that: • are house trained • can be left briefly without distress • sleep through the night • are comfortable in a home setting If that sounds like your pet, I’d love to hear from you and learn their usual routine and favourite things. Qualifications: Pet Care Certificate Professional Pet Sitting Diploma Advanced Pet First Aid I work from home full time and walk three times a day; usually around 8am, 1pm and 6pm, however this can be changed to suit. I live in an apartment with plenty of space, however there are a few dogs in the building which yours is likely to meet so needs to be fine with them. My building is secure with an underfloor car park so when going in the car, your pet won’t leave the building until they’re belted in. I can adapt my place to suite your pet’s needs and they will be allowed in any room. I can also stick to any rules you may already have for them.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have experience caring for a variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. My passion for dogs extends beyond daily care to grooming, wellbeing, and supporting their overall health and happiness. I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s long walks, active play sessions, or simply giving dogs the attention and companionship they deserve. I provide a safe, caring, and reliable service tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I work from home, which means dogs in my care enjoy plenty of companionship, supervision, cuddles, and playtime throughout the day. My routine includes morning walks to start the day, lunchtime walks and toilet breaks, and longer evening walks to help burn off energy and keep dogs happy and fulfilled. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful woodland trails, open parks, and football fields, giving dogs a variety of safe and stimulating environments to explore. Whether your dog enjoys a relaxed sniff-filled stroll, an energetic adventure, or opportunities to build confidence and socialisation skills around other dogs and people, I can tailor walks to suit their individual needs and personality. I live in a cosy two-bedroom cottage with a fenced and secure garden, providing a safe outdoor space for dogs to relax, play, and enjoy regular toilet breaks throughout the day while supervised. Inside, dogs are treated as part of the family and have plenty of space to settle, rest, and feel at home. As I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and benefit from consistent supervision, companionship, and attention throughout their stay. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements to help them feel comfortable and secure in a new environment. I maintain a clean, calm, and dog-friendly home and am experienced with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. Whether your dog loves to play, explore outdoors, socialise, or simply curl up for a cuddle, I provide a safe and caring environment tailored to their needs.

About: We are a dog-loving family with over 40 years of experience caring for pets, and opening our home as pet sitters felt like the perfect way to share that passion. Dogs have always been part of our lives, and we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. At home we have two friendly dogs of our own – a gentle old beagle and a playful Boston terrier who both enjoy meeting new friends. However, we completely understand that some dogs prefer their own space, so we are able to separate dogs if needed to make sure every pet feels comfortable and relaxed. Our home has a secure enclosed garden for safe playtime, and we’re lucky to have great walking routes right on our doorstep, perfect for daily adventures. We aim to provide a calm, caring home-from-home environment where your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. 🐶 We can offer home boarding where your pet can stay with us and will be treated like our our own. Walks, plays, sofa cuddles. Upto 2x dogs. We can seprate our dogs if needed, they can have there own bed or crate, whatever they need. There will always be at least 1 adult around 24/7 when your pet stays with us. We are a family of 3 humans and 2 dogs, our son is well aware that every dog has different needs and has been around lots of dogs, horses, sheep and helped bottle feed puppies from birth. He can also give your dog space if that's what they need. Fully secured garden for toilet breaks, but most of the time we can walk down to the river in 5 mins from our house, explore the woods or go upto the moors. At weekends your pets will have full time care from At least 1 adult. During week we work from home but go walks 2 to 3 times a day and have a safe enclosed garden option at all times I have a fenced garden, we have a old beagle that keeps to himself and a playful Boston terrier if your dog wants to play. Or we can keep them seprate and have 1 on 1 time with your pet
“Richmond had a wonderful day with Magda - we were kept informed of his activities on a regular basis. He settled in well and seemed happily at home there and came home well exercised. We have already booked him for another stay.”

I have a young, playful Lakeland Terrier with lots of energy so we’re often out for walks. I don’t have a garden but we live next to green space for toilet breaks. About: I’ve had cats all my life which I’ve loved and cared for. I’ve cared for neighbours/family dogs too (in their home and going on walks) as well as dog sitting on occasion, and would really really love to meet more furry friends! I work part time and would love for walks and caring for canines to become a regular part of my weekly routine. I don’t see pet care as work, so it’s a pleasure to balance alongside my current job. The dog’s happiness and safety is my number one priority. After learning the dog’s routine from the owner, I’m keen to do all I can to ensure it’s comfort and also make sure they have enough activity to not get bored!
About: I have been a pet owner all my life since I was you child to an adult, I look after my family’s pets when they go away and my friends pets as well. I have help out neighbours with their pets like vet appointment, dog sitting and taking their 4 legged friends on great walks around the area. I have a full time job where my shift patterns can be 5 days one week and 2 days the other which gives me plenty of time to spend with my dog. I have a back yard which is fenced off, I have 3 year old cocker spaniel called Luna which loves making new friends, she always has a smile on her face when she’s playing with her box of toys.
About: Hello, I am 35 years old and have taken care of dogs for as long as I remember. I have always loved dogs but lately I have also developed an interest in dog's behaviour and training and have taken some online courses. I am familiar with either small or big dogs and different breeds. My family and friends have dogs and often rely on me for looking after them while they are away. I am extremely caring, reliable and loving, but also very attentive, expecially when out and about for walks. When you leave me your fur friend, I want to make sure you feel comfortable and happy knowing your best friend will have the best care as if he/she was my own pooch. I work from myself as a Designer, so I'll have plenty on time to spend with your best friend, by going for long walks, playing, cuddling and if required a bit of basic training too! My schedule is very flexible, I am available for walking /sittings and/or boarding during weekdays and weekends, depending on my Rover calendar availability. We live in a very large apartment and it's only my partner and I, no kids or other dogs/pets. My partner, David, also works from home and usually joins me for a long walk at lunchtime to spend some time with your pooch as, like me, he is a dog lover and has a strong understanding of dog training too. However I will be the main one looking after your pooch as I am self-employed so can schedule my time around commitments. We live by the canal surrounded by nature, with plenty of long walks and parks.

“Emma and family have been great looking after Luna our one year old springador. Excellent communicator and really accommodating with pick up and drop off times. Will continue to use Emma for all our future dog sitting and recommend her to others as well.”

About: I’m an experienced dog owner and sitter who’s cared for a range of breeds, from Huskies and German Shepherd crosses to various small and medium-sized dogs for family and friends. I currently have a 6-year-old Golden Labrador who’s friendly and well-socialized. I have plenty of experience with anxious and reactive dogs and always take a calm, patient approach to help them feel safe and happy. I’m also happy to keep up with any training routines during their stay or walks to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I have the freedom to work from home most days, as well as the option to work from a dog-friendly office. My flexible lifestyle and plenty of spare time mean I can give another furry friend lots of care, walks, and attention. I live in a dog-friendly apartment building with a secure, enclosed terrace and a local park just a five-minute walk away. I treat all pets like my own, giving them plenty of love and attention. Pets are welcome on the furniture so they can feel right at home and relaxed.
“Another good visit to Daniel for Hughie. This was the first time he had stopped overnight. Daniel sent reassuring videos, photos and updates and it was lovely to see Hughie happy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Daniel and Hughie will be back to see Daniel soon I'm sure.”
