About: Hi I’m Janet With over 25 years experience caring from dogs of all ages; from playful puppies to golden oldies, I understand that every dog has their personality, routine and needs. I can administer medication, follow your dog’s usual routine and provide the care they need. I offer a home from home boarding experience, where every dog is treated as part of the family , with tons of love, attention, exercise and reassurance throughout their stay . Clean and well behaved small to medium sized dogs are even allowed to curl up on the sofa , if that’s what they are used to. My one to one approach , unlike busy boarding kennels and boarders that take on multiple dogs from multiple families , allows me to get to know your dog , follow their routine and help them feel settled whilst they are away from home . Your dog’s well-being is always my priority, so you can have peace of mind , knowing they are in safe and experienced hands . I am currently transitioning from a part-time school role to dedicate myself fully to professional dog boarding . Your dog will enjoy constant companionship as my husband, Richard, also works from home on a full time basis and is always on hand to keep your dog company . Our household is usually very quiet and settled; our children are grown up , with only one son still living at home. We also share our home with our own adorable dog, Theo the Sproodle . The house is detached with a large walled garden at the front and a large secure garden at the back so there is plenty of room for your dog(s) to play and chill out . We have a large kitchen , utility room and living room all of which are dog friendly so there’s plenty of space for your pooch to find a quiet corner of their own without feeling overwhelmed . I will only take on a max of 2 dogs who must be from the same home . My dog Theo is a fun loving sociable Sproodle who will love some company . Until recently we had a golden retriever that sadly passed away so Theo is used to sharing his home with another dog .

“Amy did a fantastic sit for Tess - it’s so clear she loves animals. Communication was amazing with lots of photos and Tess was so obviously well looked after. She even ate her food which is incredibly rare when she’s not at home. We will definitely use Amy again and would highly recommend her.”

About: I am a trustworthy and reliable dog walker/sitter based in Todmorden, Calderdale. I have plenty of experience looking after dogs of a range of ages and breeds including a young German Shepherd, a Manchester Terrier and an elderly Alaskan Malamute (big dog!). I am comfortable with dogs of all sorts of temperaments and have experience caring for anxious dogs. I have a flexible approach so that you get the care that suits your dogs needs and ensure you get the level of communication you want throughout. I specialise in solo walks and ad hoc holiday care. I already regularly walk a staffy and look after a yorkshire terrior/jack russell cross on a weekly basis. A client quote: "Fran looked after Alfi while we were away for a long weekend, and we felt very reassured that he was in good hands. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Fran. We will be using her again and again, and highly recommend others looks for a reliable and competent dog sitter / boarder" I currently regularly walk a dog at lunch-times (tues-fri). Otherwise i work part-time (and quite flexibly) from home so am very available to give lots of attention to any dogs in my care. I live with very close to lots of great walks as well! I'm happy for dogs to sit on the sofa if you are! i have spacious living room and kitchen as well as an enclosed yard. All my houseplants are high up out of reach a well as i've known a few dogs that like to try and nibble these!! If looking after a dog in the owners home i obvously treat it with respect and follow their instructions on the dogs home routine.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and absolutely love caring for them. As a teenager, our family always had 2–3 dogs of all sizes — from small breeds like Maltese to Cockapoos and bigger ones too. I regularly dog sat and helped care for them. As an adult, I’ve looked after a Rottweiler for 2 years and a Beagle for 4 years. I have plenty of experience training puppies to go potty outside, as well as teaching older dogs new tricks and good habits. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy giving dogs the attention and care they deserve. I've recently moved into the area of Todmorden, I am very flexible with my availability and can look after any day and time as I plan to make this a full time business. I have a 2 bedroom house and a garden (I'm currently working on finishing it end of week to be fully closed off) and I live within 5 minute walk from the local park for regular walks if needed. I will respect anyone's home as if my own if needing a check in for food and toilet breaks if needed too. I have no dogs of my own so either there will be company of up to 4 dogs or if specified I will go solo on occasions if possible which we can discuss.

About: I’ve lived in BD13, Thornton for over 30 years, and have been a dog owner for the last 10 years. I retired from FT work in 2024, so have plenty of spare time. I walk daily, no matter what the weather, and know some great off road routes for dog walking, so can help your dog maintain a level of fitness if for any reason you’re unable to do so, whether due to health issues, or because of work or family commitments, or if you just need a break! I’ll record walks on Strava so you can see what exercise your dog has done, and I’ll send you pics to show your doggie having fun! Car owner, so can drive to / from anywhere local. For home boarding, I live with my wife of 33 years, along with Angus, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. If your dog stays with us, they will be welcomed, and treated as our own. I retired from full time work in 2024, so have plenty of time to spare, and can offer dog care / walking services on most days. Even if it’s just a one off, to support your dog whilst you’re away for a special occasion, I can hopefully help out. My house has a lovely green garden, mostly fenced, so if your pet isn’t ready for walking the full requested period, they can relax either in my house or garden whilst you have time out! I will record all walks on strava, and send you screenshots of routes, so you know your dog has been exercised, aswell as pics if you wish.
