“Our Frenchie Daisy had such a lovely time with Anca and her family. She was extremely well looked after and treated as one of their own family. We received updates, picture and videos throughout her stay and can honestly say that we were in no doubt at anytime about how well she was cared for. Thank you so much Anca, Daisy cannot wait to stay again 😁”

“I couldn’t be happier with Luke and the care he gave to Lola during her recent boarding stay! From the very beginning, communication was excellent — quick updates, photos, and videos throughout the visit gave me total peace of mind. It was clear that Lola felt right at home. She got plenty of walks, cuddles, and playtime, and came back to me happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Luke to anyone looking for a caring and reliable boarder. About: With years of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, I understand that leaving your beloved companion with someone new can feel daunting. That's why I take the time to build a trusting relationship with both you and your pet from our very first meeting, getting to know their personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. Your pet's welfare is my highest priority. For your complete peace of mind, I am DBS checked and certified in Pet First Aid, ensuring your companion is cared for responsibly, safely, and with genuine compassion. Pet care is my full-time job, which means I’m fully dedicated to providing consistent, reliable care throughout the week. I structure my days around pet visits, dog walks, and day boarding, allowing me to be flexible with timings where needed. This flexibility means I can accommodate morning, lunchtime, and afternoon visits, as well as regular weekly routines or one-off bookings. Because this is my main focus, I’m able to give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve without rushing between commitments. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and family-based environment where animals are supervised throughout the day. I keep numbers small to ensure each pet receives individual attention and to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and any special requirements before their stay. This includes feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise levels, and any anxiety or behavioral considerations. For home visits, I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel secure in their own environment. I ensure doors and gates are secure, provide fresh water, feeding, litter tray cleaning, and enrichment or companionship during each visit. Trust is very important to me, so I treat every home with respect and care, and I keep pet owners updated with messages, photos, and updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I’ve loved dogs since childhood and have always had them in my life. I am a single person who spends much of my free time out walking in nature, which I enjoy even more if I have a dog to walk with me! I’m very much the go-to dog sitter in my family and regularly help care for my elderly grandparents’ golden retriever, my mums Jack Russell and my dad’s cockapoo. So I’m used to supporting dogs of all sizes with different needs, routines and personalities. I’d be very happy to walk your dog, visit them in their own home or have them stay with me at my house in Rodley where I have access to the Leeds to Liverpool canal as well as parks and woods right on my door step. I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and I’ll always treat yours with patience, kindness and genuine affection. I work full time Monday to Friday (9–5:30pm) from home, which means I naturally build my days around regular dog walks—usually 2–3 a day around work. With no children or other commitments, my mornings, lunchtime, evenings and weekends are very flexible, and I love getting out for longer walks in the countryside or exploring different trails in and around Leeds. Also happy to commit to a regular schedule or just one offs I’m calm by nature and will always respect your care preferences, whether that’s sticking to a routine, gentle companionship at home, or sociable walks with friends and their dogs.

Thank you, Susan, for looking after Graham whilst we were away. You sent us messages and photos daily about how much Graham had settled in and was enjoying himself. They were very reassuring and much appreciated. Graham is now back home but we are sure he enjoyed his 'holiday' with you. Thanks again.

This is the second time Lola has stayed with Leah and once again we’ve had absolutely no concerns at all. Leah is brilliant with her, keeps us updated, and it’s obvious Lola is really well looked after and comfortable in her care. It’s so reassuring knowing we can leave Lola and not have to worry. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again — highly recommend!

This was only the second time I'd left my dog overnight with anyone so I was a bit nervous. My dog Daisy is going through the teenage stage and is also pretty strong but I felt reassured once we met up with Ysobel and her dog. She clearly knew how to handle dogs. I would be very happy to leave Daisy with Ysobel in the future. She obviously had a great time being with Ysobel's dog Tess and would have been happy to stay there. I'd certainly be happy for Daisy to stay with Ysobel again.
Aidan is lovely - we booked rather last minute and Honey normally goes to Kennels and sulks for a few days afterwards, BUT this was a completely different experience she was so calm, happy and content when we collected, no sulking! We knownHoney had an equally good weekend and its was great to check in and know she was happy ! Thank you will rebook !!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
