About: I have had pet dogs most of my life from jack russel size to Rottweilers and many in between. Also looked after pets of friends & family. Me and my partner Stevie would love to look after your dog. We have busy jobs and work full time but love to take the pressure off with a nature walk on a weekend. About: Hi, we’re Rebecca and Harry, a pet-loving couple based in Apperley Bridge. Animals have always been a big part of our lives. Harry has grown up with both dogs and cats and has experience caring for family pets of all ages, while Rebecca has been around cats since childhood and understands the importance of providing loving, attentive care. We also regularly look after a friend’s energetic Springer Spaniel, so we’re comfortable with active dogs who enjoy plenty of exercise, playtime and attention. As keen outdoor enthusiasts, we love spending time walking and exploring, and we’re lucky to live right next to the canal, which provides fantastic routes for safe and enjoyable walks. We understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and we’ll always take the time to make them feel comfortable, secure and loved while they’re in our care. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, play sessions, cuddles on the sofa, or simply a calm and reassuring presence, we’ll make sure they receive the same care and attention we’d give our own pets. We both work full-time in the office from 9am to 5pm during the week, so we’re generally available from 5:30pm onwards on weekdays and throughout the weekend. We’re also happy to arrange early morning walks if needed and will always do our best to accommodate your pet’s routine. We lead an active lifestyle and regularly go for walks and exercise along the canal near our home, so having a dog join us would make these outings even more enjoyable. Whether it’s an evening walk, weekend adventure, or providing companionship and care, we’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise and affection while they’re with us. We provide a safe, calm and pet-friendly environment and always aim to make pets feel as comfortable as possible while in our care. We currently have no pets living in our home, which allows us to give visiting pets our full attention and helps some animals settle more easily. Our home is free from hazards, and we take care to ensure pets are always safe and supervised. Outside, we have a small gated front garden as well as an open grass area directly in front of our house, providing convenient space for toilet breaks and fresh air. About: I’ve lived in BD13, Thornton for over 30 years, and have been a dog owner for the last 10 years. I retired from FT work in 2024, so have plenty of spare time. I walk daily, no matter what the weather, and know some great off road routes for dog walking, so can help your dog maintain a level of fitness if for any reason you’re unable to do so, whether due to health issues, or because of work or family commitments, or if you just need a break! I’ll record walks on Strava so you can see what exercise your dog has done, and I’ll send you pics to show your doggie having fun! Car owner, so can drive to / from anywhere local. For home boarding, I live with my wife of 33 years, along with Angus, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. If your dog stays with us, they will be welcomed, and treated as our own. I retired from full time work in 2024, so have plenty of time to spare, and can offer dog care / walking services on most days. Even if it’s just a one off, to support your dog whilst you’re away for a special occasion, I can hopefully help out. My house has a lovely green garden, mostly fenced, so if your pet isn’t ready for walking the full requested period, they can relax either in my house or garden whilst you have time out! I will record all walks on strava, and send you screenshots of routes, so you know your dog has been exercised, aswell as pics if you wish.

Rufus is a timid, anxious rescue dog and from the meet and greet Susan made me feel at ease and I knew she was the right person to look after him. When I arrived to drop him off Rufus pulled me eagerly down the path to her flat and seemed really pleased to see her. Susan sent me updates and photos every day of his stay and he looked happy and safe. Unfortunately Rufus is scared of going out at night and wee'd on the puppy pads in her flat, but she took this in her stride and said it wasn't a problem. Thank you for looking after him and I would highly recommend Susan x
This was only the second time I'd left my dog overnight with anyone so I was a bit nervous. My dog Daisy is going through the teenage stage and is also pretty strong but I felt reassured once we met up with Ysobel and her dog. She clearly knew how to handle dogs. I would be very happy to leave Daisy with Ysobel in the future. She obviously had a great time being with Ysobel's dog Tess and would have been happy to stay there. I'd certainly be happy for Daisy to stay with Ysobel again.
Aidan is lovely - we booked rather last minute and Honey normally goes to Kennels and sulks for a few days afterwards, BUT this was a completely different experience she was so calm, happy and content when we collected, no sulking! We knownHoney had an equally good weekend and its was great to check in and know she was happy ! Thank you will rebook !!
This was the second time Tilly (our 14 year old miniature labradoodle) stayed with Nicola. Tilly instantly recognised where she was and was very happy and settled. She actually looked like she was smiling a doggy smile. Tilly isn’t very mobile, has a problem with her leg and needs medication for a long standing condition. Nicola happily gave medication and helped Tilly get about, as needed, and took great care of Tilly. We would absolutely recommend Nicola to others.
Amy was great. We booked quite last minute and had some potentially awkward drop off and pick up times during the work day, but she was really flexible and moved stuff around to accommodate us. Most importantly though, the dog came back happy and absolutely knackered from his fun weekend away!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
