“I came home to a very happy, healthy Molly and a spotless house. Koren was amazing, sending lots of photos and videis while she was looking after my 14.5 year old girl. Koren is very capable, reliable and Molly clearly enjoyed her petsit. I would reccomend Koren to anyone looking for a carefree dogsit and will definitely be asking her to look after Molly again.”

“Saddique was amazing with my reactive little dog. Great communication, super nice and polite abd clearly has a wonderful way with dogs (even little rascals like mine). The flat was just as I left it, if not tidier! Will absolutely use saddiques services again 😁”

“Jess did a fabulous job of looking after Luna and the house whilst we had a week's holiday. I would highly recommend her as a trustworthy, reliable dog sitter with good knowledge of dog care. We will definitely ask her again next time we need a sitter!”

“We couldn't be happier. Otis can be a shy dog with new people but he seemed to take to Vee in practically no time. We received loads of updates and pictures and Otis had all the love and care we could've asked for! We absolutely will be booking in again, couldn't be anymore pleased!”

About: I've always been an animal lover, and I have been caring for various pets for many years! I have my own cat, Tommy, who I've had the pleasure of taking care of over the past 10 years. Looking after him has given me hands-on experience with everything from feeding and grooming to recognising changes in his behaviour or health. Over the years, i have learned how important patience and building trust is with animals. In addition to caring for my own cat, I've also helped look after a dog for around 5 years. This included regular walks, feeding and playing. I helped with basic training such as reinforcing good behaviours on walks, as well as maintaining good routine and structure with him. As he can be quite an energetic dog, this experience has given me the confidence in handling dogs with various energy levels. I have also taken care of other cats and dogs for shorter periods of time. Whether it's been a few days or a weekend, I always make sure to provide them the best level of care and attention as I would with my own cat. I always ensure that pets in my care feel safe, loved and comfortable. I pay close attention to their needs and personalities to ensure I can give the best care possible. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility and plenty of time to provide attentive and consistent care for pets. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make sure I plan my schedule around the needs of the animals I’m looking after. Because I’m not working full-time hours, I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time throughout the week. I’m organised and reliable, and I always ensure pets are fed on time, exercised properly, and given lots of attention and affection. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully — including feeding routines, walking schedules, medication (if required), and any specific behavioural needs. I pay close attention to pets at all times and make sure they are kept in a secure and safe environment. I’m mindful of keeping doors and gates secure, avoiding unsafe foods or objects, and ensuring pets are supervised appropriately. I can also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of my neighbours dogs in numerous occasions and have had 10 years worth of experience with 3 cats of my own. I understand how dearly pet owners love their pets; as if they were their own children (I know I do!) and therefore believe that I would be a great carer for your little ones as you enjoy your break! I am a Biomedical science University student living at home and have a lot of free time to take care of and provide attention to your pets! I am also trained in lab skills and know what behaviours in animals would be alarming. I can maintain the same or a very similar routine for your pets as the ones they follow when you are around, I am a massive animal lover and can take really good care of your fur babies

About: Hello, I'm Claire. I'll be your devoted pet sitter. I get along well with cats, and since they all have unique personalities, I enjoy taking care of them. I am aware of the variations among cats and am able to care for them appropriately, whether they are quiet, shy, incredibly affectionate, or too excited. I can develop a wonderful bond with your cat and have a lot of love and care to share. I enjoy caring for animals and can follow instructions and routines that may be suitable for your particular pet with ease. Knowing that I can lend a helping hand whenever needed makes me truly pleased. I work full time at a supporting living service for adults with mental health in Shipley. However this won’t stop me from spending a lot of time to your cats and ensuring they are well looked after! 🌸
“We are so happy we chose Lou to look after our dog and cat while we went away to get married. Lou is friendly, kind, thoughtful, helpful and capable. We couldn't have asked for better. The pets were happy and relaxed when we got home and had clearly spent a lovely time with Lou. Lots of photos and videos and updates helped us feel relaxed and happy that all was well. Looking forward to having Lou back the next time we go away. Thanks a bunch Lou! :-).”

About: I am a caring and reliable dog walker who loves spending time with animals and making sure they’re happy and well cared for. I always put a dog’s safety and comfort first, whether it’s a calm stroll or an energetic walk full of fun and play. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality and needs, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. You can count on me to provide dependable, loving care and plenty of tail wags along the way — and I promise, they’ll miss me when I’m away! Pet care fits perfectly into my life because I have a very flexible schedule and I’m available at any time. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy being around animals, so walking dogs and caring for pets is easy naturally fits into my daily routine. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening, I’m always happy to make time for pets who need attention and care. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I always make sure they feel comfortable and safe in their familiar environment. I follow any specific instructions from the owner, such as feeding times, allergies, walk routines, or favourite toys and treats. I give each pet plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while keeping their space tidy and stress-free. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel happy and cared for while their owner is away.
About: I’ve lived in BD13, Thornton for over 30 years, and have been a dog owner for the last 10 years. I retired from FT work in 2024, so have plenty of spare time. I walk daily, no matter what the weather, and know some great off road routes for dog walking, so can help your dog maintain a level of fitness if for any reason you’re unable to do so, whether due to health issues, or because of work or family commitments, or if you just need a break! I’ll record walks on Strava so you can see what exercise your dog has done, and I’ll send you pics to show your doggie having fun! Car owner, so can drive to / from anywhere local. For home boarding, I live with my wife of 33 years, along with Angus, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. If your dog stays with us, they will be welcomed, and treated as our own. I retired from full time work in 2024, so have plenty of time to spare, and can offer dog care / walking services on most days. Even if it’s just a one off, to support your dog whilst you’re away for a special occasion, I can hopefully help out. My house has a lovely green garden, mostly fenced, so if your pet isn’t ready for walking the full requested period, they can relax either in my house or garden whilst you have time out! I will record all walks on strava, and send you screenshots of routes, so you know your dog has been exercised, aswell as pics if you wish.
About: With 5 years of experience caring for cats and dogs and even the odd chicken, I provide reliable, high-quality pet sitting tailored to your animal’s specific needs. From energetic walks to specialised cat care, I prioritize your pet's routine and happiness above all else. I am a discreet and trustworthy sitter who treats your home with the utmost respect. You can expect regular photo updates and clear communication, giving you total peace of mind while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medication or simply offering plenty of attention, I’m dedicated to keeping your pets safe and comfortable. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! I am a gardener so I can either take dogs to work with me if they enjoying being outside (only to enclosed and appropriate places) or be flexible with my work schedule to accommodate returning home to give them scheduled walks. I also have flexibility in days I can work. I can travel and am free to stay over in someone’s home easily (as I don’t have home commitments such as children or my own pets) The animals I have looked after in the past have tended to stay with them in their home so not to take them out of their comfortable environment. I treat all animals with love, affection and respect. If it is a cat that wants lots of cuddles or prefers their own independence, I try to get a full picture from their owner so I can treat them as they are used to.
“Kathryn was great with codi. Booked last minute, she turned up early so she could ask some questions. Sent lots of updates and photos. Codi loved having her here to stay and cuddling with him whilst I was away for the night. Will definitely use Kathryn again. 5*”

“Excellent. Lovely personality, wonderful with our furbabies who had a wonderful time with her and her dog and other ne playmates they made friends with, when they were being looked after while we were away for the day. As far as we are concerned she is our family dog minder and walker for life and it is a weight off our minds to know she will be there when required.”

About: Since being a young girl I have always had a love for pets, my first pet was my netherland dwarf rabbit called Snowy who is now 10 years old, I also kept hamsters for a few years and our family dog is a miniature poodle called Jeff who is nearly 6 years old. I often have sole responsibility for Jeff and Snowy when my parents are away or at work. I have recently house sat for 2 weeks for 2 dogs (Dachshund and a mixed breed rescue) ensuring they had their regular exercise with the daily duties of making sure they had food and fresh water and keeping those tails wagging by playing and keeping them stimulated. I have also had experience at working on a small farm with horses, dogs, cats, ducks and chickens. When the owners were away I attended two or three times a day making sure all their animal welfare was cared for. At college I studied animal management leaving in 2023, during my time at college I did a placement at Yorkshire Cat Rescue and Look North Dog Groomers. My main responsibilities at the groomers were washing, drying, brushing the dogs whilst ensuring all safety measures were met, building a bond and trust with the dogs was paramount. A bit about how we got our dog. I implemented the discussions with my family about having a dog, I had to do all the research and find a dog that would be suitable for our family home and I did that by finding our Jeff. I trained him from being a puppy, walked and cleaned up after him, played with him, he loves to play ball! I trained him to sit, high-five, paw, speak, lay down, dance and turn. He’s never quite grasped roll over though! I was a keen horse rider from the age of 7, and one of the riding schools I attended in my teens I helped disabled children ride horses. We also have a family dog food business and I help out in the factory when required, therefore, I know how important it is to keep a dogs diet healthy. Personal attributes of mine are, I am hard working, punctual, reliable, trust worthy and love animals. I hold a full clean driving licence and have use of my own car. I cannot wait to meet your pets. I am currently in hospitality at a dog friendly bar with a view to work full time with animals. I am available Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, I’m willing to reduce my working hours/ days to pursue my career working with animals. I will listen to each individual household requests and adhere to their specific instructions as every household would differ in terms of dog safety and restrictions of rooms in your home.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Bradford
Just arrived from our USA holidays Saddique has done a fantastic job to my two pets Ronnie and Rosie they easily get along with him plus how he carry out his job…All I can say is that whatever and whoever he will work he will perform a tremendous superb job…This mid of June he is going to look after Ronnie and Rosie again…

Kat was the perfect caregiver to our boys axel and Jasper, she was very attentive, she took them on lovely walks and was able to handle axel’s medication schedule with no problems. Would 100 percent recommend her to look after your furry friends while away, our boys loved her as if they had known her for years, making them feel very loved and comfortable. Could not be more grateful for Kat. 10/10 ❤️ would definitely book again ❤️

Georgie has been absolutely amazing with our sausage, Darwin. She has really taken the time to get to know him, always keeping us updated with texts and photographs whilst we have been away! He has been a very happy pupper. We will definitely continue to use Georgie and would highly recommend her! Thank you! 🤩 xx

Leah-Dionne is an absolute angel! From the minute she met our two (usually anxious) pooches they were at ease with her - treating her like one of the family instantly. We had a couple of meet and greets before a long stretch of dog sitting on my wedding day. I could not have felt more confident in the boys being looked after by Leah-Dionne, which meant me and my family could fully immerse ourselves in our big day. And, just as a cherry on the cake, I received some gorgeous pictures of my cheeky chaps on a fabulous walk, looking super happy. I cannot thank Leah-Dionne enough and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone, and will certainly be using her services again in the future. Thank you so so much xx

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bradford walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bradford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
