About: I've cared for pets of all sizes and ages. From babies to very senior dogs and cats. I'm a calm person and have found that pets respond positively to me. I take note of clients requests, such as keeping dogs on the lead or not letting cats out. I only walk dogs from one family at a time, so no packs of dogs to try control. I'm a retired lady who has some time on her hands! I live with my husband and my children and grandson are not too far away. At your home looking after pets I try to follow your normal routine. I'm careful locking up and when I have to label keys I only use the pets name, no address or anything that could give anyone a clue to your premises in case I drop keys out of my pocket. I've never done that, but there could be a first time!
About: I have been a fan of dogs my whole life, have owned dogs in the past, and currently share responsibilities of caring for a male boxer cross with a friend. For the last 10 years I have been a reliable port of call for family, close friends, friends of friends and neighbours when a short-term solution is needed. Since hearing about Rover.com recently, I decided to reinstate this account and start offering these services to a wider audience. I work full-time, but only a 5 minute walk from home and will never leave a dog unattended for longer than 4 hours as a rule. My work hours at the office are 8:30-17:00 Mon-Thurs with an hour long break at midday, and 8:30-12:30 on Fridays. I usually use my weekends for hiking so can tailor walks to suit individual dogs and/or take specific exercise requests from owners. I have a high-fenced, secure garden with adequate space and shade and great retired neighbours either side of my terrace. On pleasant days when I am required to be in-office, I will often leave Fred (my boxer cross) outside with a big bowl of water so he can relax in the sun (or shade) at his leisure. With regards to overnight stays, it is a preference that dogs stay downstairs in either my kitchen or living room, but I can be flexible if certain dogs display any form of separation anxiety. Any dogs staying in my home must have been treated for fleas as standard so as not to jeopardise future pets from picking up hitch-hikers on their staycation.

“We couldn't be happier. Otis can be a shy dog with new people but he seemed to take to Vee in practically no time. We received loads of updates and pictures and Otis had all the love and care we could've asked for! We absolutely will be booking in again, couldn't be anymore pleased!”

About: With 5 years of experience caring for cats and dogs and even the odd chicken, I provide reliable, high-quality pet sitting tailored to your animal’s specific needs. From energetic walks to specialised cat care, I prioritize your pet's routine and happiness above all else. I am a discreet and trustworthy sitter who treats your home with the utmost respect. You can expect regular photo updates and clear communication, giving you total peace of mind while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medication or simply offering plenty of attention, I’m dedicated to keeping your pets safe and comfortable. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! I am a gardener so I can either take dogs to work with me if they enjoying being outside (only to enclosed and appropriate places) or be flexible with my work schedule to accommodate returning home to give them scheduled walks. I also have flexibility in days I can work. I can travel and am free to stay over in someone’s home easily (as I don’t have home commitments such as children or my own pets) The animals I have looked after in the past have tended to stay with them in their home so not to take them out of their comfortable environment. I treat all animals with love, affection and respect. If it is a cat that wants lots of cuddles or prefers their own independence, I try to get a full picture from their owner so I can treat them as they are used to.
“I can highly recommend Rosie , She came to look after our old dog who we’ve never left before . She’s very calm and nothing phases her . Wilf and Peach were both very happy when we arrived back home . Thankyou so much”

“Jane came to look after our lovely old dog. She let herself in and messaged to let us know. It was comforting for us to know Molly had company while we were out. Jane left at the agreed time and left the house clean and tidy. She messaged us to confirm this and when we got home she had left a note telling us about her stay! We will definitely use Jane again. Thank you.”

About: I have been on rover since November 2023 and as massive dog lovers, we are having the time of our lives looking after other people's pets. Look at our reviews to see how happy and content all your pets are with us. I have recently started house sitting in your home too. I have had dogs all our life and been surrounded by dogs in the family since childhood. I have a Labrador called Bella who is 7, she is great with other dogs and very well behaved. She is a real pampered pooch, regularly exercised and has lots of cuddles. Unfortunately we lost Ted our 8 year old Labrador to cancer in September 24, you will most likely read a lot about him in our reviews. We now have Nelly who is a 1 year old lab. Both are great with dogs, however they don’t always have to come to your house when I am dog sitting, sometimes they can stay at home. Monday to Friday Maria works from home so your pooch will have lots of company and cuddles. I work local to home for lunchtime walks. On evening and weekends I run or walk with Bella, so your dog will get plenty of exercise. We have a large enclosed garden for safety , Bella sleeps downstairs in the kitchen or living room, your dog can sleep up or downstairs.
“Was really pleased that Samuel was able to step in to look after our two dogs at really short notice; it was reassuring to leave them him. We’re also grateful that he persevered with them, even when Tilly became grumpy and aggressive; not quite sure why she did it, but never the less Samuel stayed with them until it was time to put them to bed. He was punctual and respectful of our space, and we would recommend him as a dog sitter.”

About: I have over 5 years of experience working at a busy dog boarding kennels, where I looked after dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities - including nervous pups, playful puppies, and sweet seniors. I also have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Veterinary Science, so I understand a lot about animal health and behaviour. Whether your dog needs a calm companion, someone who sticks to their routine, or just plenty of belly rubs and walks, I’m here to make sure they’re happy and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine! I work remotely, which means I’m home most of the day and always around for cuddles, company, and keeping an eye on things. I can easily take dogs out for walks during my lunch break and again after work, and I’m flexible enough to adapt to your pet’s usual schedule. Whether it’s a mid-morning play session, food at a certain time, or just being present to keep your pet calm and happy—I’m here for it. I provide loving, attentive care by following your pet’s routine - feeding, walking (on lead or off lead if requested), playtime, and medication if needed - while keeping your home clean, safe, and comfortable for a stress-free stay.
“Morgan was friendly, on time & looked after Indi really well. I received a couple of updates & photos whilst I was away & had extra peace of mind knowing that Morgan is training to be a vetenary nurse so understood my dogs health condition.”

About: I am an animal lover at heart and have always had a cat in my life. I currently have the lovely Melvin, a grey tabby cat. I love animals and getting to know their individual personalities. I have had experience of giving my family's elderly cats (17/18 years old) medicine and looked after small/medium dogs. We have used Cat in a Flat often and have found it really helpful especially for short trips away and last minute cat sitting needs. I look forward to finding out about your pets and what they need! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch! I'm currently working part-time and have a flexible work day so have plenty of time to drop by and spend some time with your pets. My weeks can vary from week to week. Depending on what your pet needs, I can adapt to this. I will keep all dogs on leads to ensure their safety especially as I get to know them.
About: I have looked after many pets in my time from friends to family pets and would like to do it more frequently as a lover of animals. I am out of education and saving up for university in September. I work throughout the week in hospitality so I can work around schedules very easily. As i look after mostly dogs, obviously dependent on the age and breed i will take on daily walks or runs even in parks or beaches near. As my shift schedules are short i spend a lot of time hanging out and playing with pets. I am also extremely active so can made due with whatever needs they may have.
“This is the third time Leah has looked after Kaia and again we’re so so happy. We came home after 10 days to a very happy and healthy pup. It’s clear Kaia adores Leah and spending time with her. She gets lots of play time and attention. Leah is definitely top of our list for dog sitters for our pup.”

“Melissa did a housesit for us and our German Shepherd and three cats. She was very responsive, sent regular updates, and all the animals immediately took to her. We had never had a house sitter before, but Melissa put us at ease and we came home to a very relaxed house. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter and will happily have her back in the future.”

About: **DBS CHECKED** Hello! I’m Alex and I have cared for many breeds of dogs in the past, as well as my own cat Ivy for the past 3+ years and my 2 Guinea pigs, Churro and Viktor. I have owned many dogs previously, including Greyhounds, Staffies and even Cane Corsos. Additionally, I have also owned budgies, tropical fish and a tortoise. I always prioritise enrichment, exercise, affection and mental stimulation. The standard in which I care for my animals is very high and I believe it should be the same for all. I am currently working a part time job at an equine yard, but only work around 1-2 shifts a week. Now, as I recently graduated from college, I have a lot more free time and flexibility in my life and would love to fill this space with caring for dearly loved pets. A role of this nature is something I’ve been eager to do for a long time, as I love meeting unique furry personalities. Meeting animals with different traits and characteristics is always fun and interesting for me- and providing a great level of care for owners pets is something I love and enjoy greatly. I am happy to walk dogs for up to three times a day and would be willing to go on longer ones if this is requested and/or needed for the dog. I would prefer to care for animals at the owners location, due to my house being rather small and more of a cat-orientated household. However, I am happy to do daycare and may consider overnight care at my own home if I am comfortable with the situation and if I’m informed of important details e.g. temperament, size, bad behaviours. I am happy to do weekdays, holidays (summer, school, bank) and weekends if I am free and/or given enough time in advance. I have a fenced front and back garden and access to many suitable dog walking areas. Whether it’s a 15 minute stroll around the block, or a longer walk across the moors, I am more than up for it! A play and social session down at the local park is always a blast too. I am very fortunate to live in a great area for dog walking and adventures. I do own a cat and two Guinea pigs, but they are kept in a separate room (the cat goes outside but keeps to herself). My home has a high level of security, including CCTV cameras and multiple ring cameras too. I also have a wet room style bathroom so bathing medium sized dogs and under would be possible. I have a decently sized grass back garden and a small wood chip front garden. I also have an old dog kennel which is being used for storage, but if necessary, can be cleaned out for use. In terms of caring for a pet at the owners home, I have my own form of transport so commuting to the location wouldn’t be an issue (if it’s no more than around 20 miles from my location). I am perfectly comfortable staying over night and will happily adhere to any special arrangements and requests, such as number of walks per day, giving medications and specialist requirements. I am unable to walk large dogs if they are very reactive and strong pullers, otherwise I am totally happy. I do ask that I am informed of any personality traits or issues I need to be aware of e.g. is not friendly with other dogs, reactive to cats, must wear an muzzle etc. I have no personal preferences or limits when caring for cats, as I have lots of experience and knowledge- plus they’re quite a bit easier than dogs! Again, all I ask is to be informed of any medical requirements or specialist care for your pet.
“Joel did a great job looking after our dog Sybbie while we were away on holiday. She's dog-reactive and Joel took her on some lovely walks. We had updates and photos to put our mind at ease which was great. Would recommend. Thank you Joel! X”

“Finlay was so happy with the lovely Kate, that we have asked her back for another stay. We came home to a happy, contented dog, who didn’t seem to have missed us! The house was clean and tidy and Kate kept in touch with texts and photos. We would highly recommend Kate.”

“Anastasia was wonderful, she looked after our 2 dogs who were very happy and comfortable around her. One of our dogs has a medical condition which requires medication and she was comfortable handling it.”

Sid is so much happier being looked after at home. Daisy stayed with him while we went away for the weekend. We walked together at the start so Daisy knew a route Sid was used to nearby and we received pics of Sid enjoying his favourite field over the weekend. Communication was easy, Sid and our home were cared for. Would definitely ask Daisy to look after Sid again.
