About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I grew up with both dogs and cats in the family, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, from playful pups to independent or shy cats. I also studied animal care and husbandry at college, which gave me a great understanding of pet behaviour, safety, and wellbeing. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life from a young age. I’ve raised my own dogs from puppyhood through to adulthood as well as having cats and I regularly care for my brother’s Staffy, who is the sweetest soul! I was also fortunate to learn puppy training to a very high standard from an ex-police dog handler, giving me a strong understanding of dog behaviour, training and communication. I’m a very nurturing, patient and soft-hearted person who genuinely loves getting to know each animal’s individual personality. I understand that every dog is different so I’m happy to adapt my approach to suit their temperament, routine, boundaries and needs whether they’re energetic, nervous, independent, cuddly or somewhere in between. I absolutely love being outdoors and spend lots of my own time walking and hiking, so getting out for adventures with a four legged companion is something I’d genuinely enjoy!! I’m particularly flexible with boarding and longer stays and I love being able to give pets plenty of walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles and company throughout the day. I’m happy to discuss individual routines and work around what your pet is used to at home. I live on the ground floor of a beautiful old mill with lovely high ceilings and a huge area of greenery surrounding the property. While this isn’t a private fenced garden, the green space is frequently used by local dog walkers, so there are plenty of opportunities for toilet breaks and fresh air throughout the day. As the area is not fenced, I would always keep dogs securely on a lead when outside unless their owner has specifically discussed a suitable alternative with me. I’m very attentive to each pet’s individual needs and will follow their usual routines, feeding instructions, medication and house rules wherever possible. I’ll make sure they have a calm, safe and loving environment, with plenty of company, walks, playtime, enrichment and cuddles. I’ll also keep owners updated and let them know promptly if I notice anything unusual about their pet.

About: I've had cats since the age of 3, and never stopped having them. Alongside many other pets of all shapes and sizes. I started helping out a friend with her dog sitting jobs and it's continued from there. I've dog sat and walked , cat sat and checked up on friends and clients pets. One off walks and regular walks. From small senior Jack Russell to two bounding golden retrievers. I've had a good few years of experience now to offer more services . I'm currently working part time so I have the time to schedule in walks, house sitting/pet sitting and call ins. I have one ongoing walk with a Jack Russell and would like to take on more pet care work. Depending on what the owner wants , whether it's a routine walk, a pop in or a stay over. I'm happy to do it all. Happy to follow instructions to make sure your babies are happy and calm. My cat is an outdoor cat but understand some prefer theirs to stay in. With dogs I can make sure they are well seen to and will make sure I know how long they don't mind being left alone. Can pop in to fill up water and food bowls or to let any out to use to toilet.

“I can thoroughly recommend Chris as a dog sitter and walker following him sitting at our house looking after our dog and cat. Chris responded promptly when I first contacted him. We were trying to arrange quite short notice dog and cat sitting due to a previous arrangement breaking down. Despite this he was as able to work around our dates to be able to provide the care we needed. Our dog can be anxious and has a tendency to resource guard. Chris was excellent at arranging to visit our house to meet our dog to get an idea of his needs and accompanied mr on a walk with him. He then, also, arranged to take our dog out on his own, for a walk. This provided Chris and us with the confidence to go ahead with the sit. Chris provided daily updates (messages, photos and video) whilst we were away which was great feedback. I know our dog loved the care he received. Chris is engaging, thoughtful and caring of the animals he is looking after. His calm demeanour was great for both our pets and ourselves! “Ruby looked after my 2 staffies Ruby & Frank for the weekend. My dogs can be a handful at times, especially when playing together as one is getting older whilst the other still a puppy. Ruby met both my dogs prior to the house sitting weekend in my home. Both dogs took to her immediately and I loved the fact she instantly interacted with them. Frank the younger of my dogs especially took to her and didn't want her to leave. Ruby sent regular updates on how they were doing as they can fret a little and get anxiety when I'm not home, but they were perfectly fine and looked happy.
