“I was really worried to leave my cat Iris alone for the first time, however the update messages and pictures I recieved upon every visit really gave me peace of mind throughout my trip. Alison is lovely and I really feel like she looked after Iris and showed her care and love as if she was her own cat. Its great that I know I have someone I can trust to check in on her every time I go away. Thank you Alison! :)”

“Nick was lovely from the start including visiting beforehand to meet Nori. Nori has been looked after so well and this was so important for me to be able to enjoy some time away. Amazing communication and I could tell from the daily updates on the app how much he did each visit. Thank you, Nick. We (Nori really) will see you again.”

“Kiara was incredible. It was our first time using the app, so were nervous to begin with, however, Kiara reassured us from the start. She came for a meet and greet and was very friendly and our cats adored her from the outset. Her communication was great, she sent photos and our cats clearly loved her! Couldn’t recommend her enough!!”

“Irena was absolutely wonderful and I will booking her in the future. She came round to meet my cat first and talk in person about the care needed. We went away for two weeks and Irena came every day like clockwork to come and check on Poppy, feed her and spend some time with her. I got so many picture and video updates whilst I was away which helped me to see how happy she was which really put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend to anyone.”

About: I've had cats since the age of 3, and never stopped having them. Alongside many other pets of all shapes and sizes. I started helping out a friend with her dog sitting jobs and it's continued from there. I've dog sat and walked , cat sat and checked up on friends and clients pets. One off walks and regular walks. From small senior Jack Russell to two bounding golden retrievers. I've had a good few years of experience now to offer more services . I'm currently working part time so I have the time to schedule in walks, house sitting/pet sitting and call ins. I have one ongoing walk with a Jack Russell and would like to take on more pet care work. Depending on what the owner wants , whether it's a routine walk, a pop in or a stay over. I'm happy to do it all. Happy to follow instructions to make sure your babies are happy and calm. My cat is an outdoor cat but understand some prefer theirs to stay in. With dogs I can make sure they are well seen to and will make sure I know how long they don't mind being left alone. Can pop in to fill up water and food bowls or to let any out to use to toilet.
“Madison once again exceeded our expectations! She was always ready to take care of our little Pisco. She looked after him, cared for him, and played with him while we were away for almost a month. An excellent pet sitter whom I highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I'm Adam, the owner of Purple Paw Walks. I'm passionate about providing reliable, caring, and professional pet care that gives owners complete peace of mind. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to get to know their routine, personality, and individual needs. Whether your dog is full of energy, nervous around new people, or simply enjoys a slower pace, I tailor my care to suit them. I offer one-to-one dog walks, pop-in visits, and in-home pet sitting, and I only accept one pet-sitting booking at a time. This means your pets receive my full attention without the stress of sharing my time with other bookings. I'm happy to care for puppies, adult dogs, senior pets, and cats, and I'm comfortable administering medication when required. You'll also receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, happy, and well looked after while you're away. My aim is simple: to care for your pets as if they were my own and provide a service you can rely on every time. I'm currently working part-time while growing my pet care business, Purple Paw Walks, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable and consistent care throughout the week. I offer dog walking, cat visits, pop-in visits, and in-home pet sitting, with availability during weekdays, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays (subject to availability). I always aim to be flexible where possible and will do my best to accommodate your pet's usual routine, helping them feel comfortable and settled while you're away. Your pet's safety, wellbeing, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each pet's routine, personality, and any specific requirements before providing care. When I'm visiting your home. I treat your home with the utmost respect and care for your pets as if they were my own. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, fresh water, feeding, toilet breaks, medication if required, and regular updates with photos for complete peace of mind. For pet sitting, I only accept one booking at a time, ensuring every pet receives my full attention and personalised care. I always follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pets feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you're away.
About: Hi, we’re Annabelle & Chris! and we have had dogs around us ever since we were both little or born so we have always been around dogs, we absolutely LOVE them. We would even say they are better than people!! We’re used to all different breeds and sizes of dogs and no dog is ever too much to handle. We like to think we get a good sense of what a dog is like just from spending a short amount of time with them. We have also owned cats previously so we are super happy to offer a comforting friendly face for your furry friend. Rest assured, your dog is with genuine dog lovers. We can't wait to meet them! Me and Chris have decided to do this together, meaning we can offer extra support for your furry friends! Annabelle - I currently work full time from home so can offer your furry friend company all day long. I have 2 dogs of my own so I am used to the routine of getting up at 5:30am to give them a good walk, breakfast and playtime before starting work (from home) I then finish work and take them for another long walk in the evening followed by dinner and playtime in the garden or living room ( weather dependant) so they’re tired out before bedtime. Chris - has his own business so is also very flexible on when and where he can work. So there will always be someone available for your furry friend! If you’re like us, do you hate the thought of your pet being left alone for hours on end while you go out to work? Do you pay ridiculous costs just for someone to drop in and walk your dog for a short while? We are here to help! We are offering daycare, boarding, pet walking, all you’re pets needs! Our biggest objective is that your pet feels safe and always has company. I have a fully fenced and gated garden at our home address, so there will be no escapees. However before taking on any boarders we would be looking to offer dog walking, day care services, to get to know each pup personally and to make sure you and your beloved pup are comfortable and all needs are catered for. We personally like to know our dogs feel at ease when staying with someone and that we’re not leaving them with a stranger, this is the relationship we’d love to build with you and your furry friend!
About: I have taken great care of dogs ever since I was very young surrounded by a dog loving family. I have owned dogs of varying size and temperaments of which I have trained since they were puppies and walked, fed and bathed them every day since. I work part time so my availability is pretty much open. I am available for boarding over the weekends and for walks any afternoons/evenings :) I will ensure all gates are secure and collar/leads are securely fastened. The doggies will be watched over 24/7 and will be in safe hands
About: I've grown up with animals, especially dogs. Whether it was my grandparents' German Shepherd or my own Jack Russell, I have an affinity with animals. I'm currently studying part-time and work part-time so there's a bit of flexibility for dog walking but it depends on my shift pattern. I'm an early riser, so morning walks are absolutely fine! I work 3 days a week in Lindley Huddersfield – pet sitting would be suitable if on certain days they can be left alone. Unfortunately I can't care for pets in my own home. Not because I don't want to but it's a rented property in a listed building.
“Nice and simple to book with it beingmy first time. Good contact with being notified when arrived and left. The report card was a lovely touch and really enjoyed seeing the photos. Will definitely be booking again with Jade. Thank you.”

About: I've had pets ever since I can remember, from Dogs, Cats, Birds, Guinea Pigs, Tropical and Marine Fish. I have a loving family home that they are welcome in and will be treated as one of my own during their stay with me. Dogs are the best and my favourite friends though, I have had my own dogs since I first left home and always trained them myself with routine, reward and lots of love and attention. It also gets you outside and walking and seeing some wonderful scenery, I dont like to do the same walk each day so keeps it interesting for both me and the dogs. I currently work 95% of my time from home, so your dogs would be more than welcome to join me and my dogs for the day or night. They would be going on a daily walk for at least an hour, although this often ends up being longer. I work from home and so have plenty of time for a companion with a lunch time break for walks and after work, for those that have stayed the night there’s also a morning walk available I have a fully enclosed fenced garden, your dog will get one to one time with me, I have spare bowls and treats and leads as these are often forgotten when rushing off on holiday.
About: I currently have Leah & Jake, my 2 Border Collies. We're always out and about up on Saddleworth Moor having walkies... There's no better feeling than being outdoors with dogs.. I currently don't work, so I'm home all day now. Home sitting is available on Friday & Saturday nights. Unfortunately, I can't board pets due to my own dogs/cats/snakes etc My pets want for nothing. They are loved and cared for as family members. My cats and dogs have full roam of my house and also sleep on my bed if they want to.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Kirklees
Received daily updates and photos which really put my mind at ease while I was away. She clearly bonded so well with my cat, and it was obvious Lasy was happy, comfortable and well cared for throughout. I’ve used her before and have always had a great experience, and I’d happily use her again in the future. Highly recommend.
100% happy with the service received. Antonia visited my cat twice a day as promised. She sent photos everyday and I could see that my cat was happy and relaxed in his usual sleeping spots. Antonia also took care of opening and closing my curtains and making sure my house was secure. Highly recommend Antonia and would be happy to use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
