“Alison is absolutely lovely. She has sent up updates and photos of our cats whilst we were away and we never doubted for a minute that they were being well cared for. She is incredibly easy to work with and extremely reliable. I would have no hesitation recommending Alison for your pet sit and will definitely be using her again myself should the need arise. Thank you so much Alison!”

“Nicholas was brilliant! Great communication throughout and very friendly. Took good care of the cats and carried out all tasks without issue. The cats were both relaxed and calm upon my return.”

“Torrie is fantastic with our shy and timid cat. She takes the time and is super patient with her and sends us daily photos. It’s always really reassuring to know someone who understands cats is looking after her. Would highly recommend!”

About: I've had cats since the age of 3, and never stopped having them. Alongside many other pets of all shapes and sizes. I started helping out a friend with her dog sitting jobs and it's continued from there. I've dog sat and walked , cat sat and checked up on friends and clients pets. One off walks and regular walks. From small senior Jack Russell to two bounding golden retrievers. I've had a good few years of experience now to offer more services . I'm currently working part time so I have the time to schedule in walks, house sitting/pet sitting and call ins. I have one ongoing walk with a Jack Russell and would like to take on more pet care work. Depending on what the owner wants , whether it's a routine walk, a pop in or a stay over. I'm happy to do it all. Happy to follow instructions to make sure your babies are happy and calm. My cat is an outdoor cat but understand some prefer theirs to stay in. With dogs I can make sure they are well seen to and will make sure I know how long they don't mind being left alone. Can pop in to fill up water and food bowls or to let any out to use to toilet.
“Madison did a wonderful job of looking after our cat. It was very reassuring to know that our furry family member was in good hands whilst we were on holiday, and we loved seeing pictures and reading her report card. Would definitely recommend Madison, and would be very happy for her to look after our cat again in the future.”

“Irena did four visits for our cat, you can tell she loves cats straight away! It was nice to get lots of videos and updates, including videos of playtime interacting. Thank you very much!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends for a few years now and even helped my roommate raise her kitten including flee treatment and litter training. I’ve had experience pet sitting for multiple pets at once both cats and dogs and overall love spending time with and taking care of cats and dogs alike. I am currently a uni student. I have full time availability, from Monday to Sunday, days and nights until October for the summer holidays where I will be back to part time availability I have stayed overnight at friend’s houses before to pet sit for both cats and dogs. Keeping an eye on multiple pets at a time and making sure they were well fed and entertained and being able to multitask responsibilities such as dog walking whilst making sure the cat was safe at home whilst we were out. I also have experience helping my roommate raise her kitten and keeping him company whilst my roommate was out including feeding him, cleaning out the litter tray or just playing with him so he had some company.
About: I’ve been around dogs all my life now I care for them from house visits, walking, to day/night boarding nothing brings me more joy 🐾 I am home most of the day every day odd nip out to the shops and school run but other then that I am home Downstairs they will have run round house patio doors from living room to my secured fenced garden, I will stick to your routine as much as I can with the walks and feeding times ect.

“This is the first time I left my cats with anyone other than family. I didn’t need to worry. Brontë sent me photos and updated me after each visit. The cats obviously loved her as they came out from under the bed for cuddles. Could not recommend Brontë more and will definitely be using her again in the future.”

About: Hi, I'm Adam, the owner of Purple Paw Walks. I'm passionate about providing reliable, caring, and professional pet care that gives owners complete peace of mind. About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of dogs with different needs and temperaments, supported by a lifelong passion for animals—especially dogs. I regularly cared for an elderly German Shepherd, providing gentle walks and consistent pet sitting support. I also own a six-year-old Jack Russell with a history of dog aggression, which has given me strong skills in managing reactive behavior, reading canine body language, and maintaining safe, controlled environments during walks and social situations. In addition, I frequently look after my auntie’s two Labradors, ensuring they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and routine care. I also completed an Animal Management course at college, which included grooming training and further strengthened my understanding of animal care and welfare. Monday–Friday: 7am–10am & 1pm–9pm Saturday–Sunday: 7am–9pm Available every day, Monday to Sunday I offer all pet care services, including: Dog walking Pet sitting (drop-ins & extended stays) Overnight care When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I prioritise maintaining their familiar routine and environment. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication needs, and household rules (such as crate use, furniture rules, or boundaries). I keep the home tidy, clean up after the pets, and ensure their living spaces—like litter trays, beds, or food areas—are well maintained. I offer playtime, companionship, and regular check-ins so pets feel secure while their owners are away. I also provide consistent updates, photos, and communication to keep owners reassured.

About: I currently have Leah & Jake, my 2 Border Collies. We're always out and about up on Saddleworth Moor having walkies... There's no better feeling than being outdoors with dogs.. I currently don't work, so I'm home all day now. Home sitting is available on Friday & Saturday nights. Unfortunately, I can't board pets due to my own dogs/cats/snakes etc My pets want for nothing. They are loved and cared for as family members. My cats and dogs have full roam of my house and also sleep on my bed if they want to.
“Nice and simple to book with it beingmy first time. Good contact with being notified when arrived and left. The report card was a lovely touch and really enjoyed seeing the photos. Will definitely be booking again with Jade. Thank you.”

About: I've grown up with animals, especially dogs. Whether it was my grandparents' German Shepherd or my own Jack Russell, I have an affinity with animals. I'm currently studying part-time and work part-time so there's a bit of flexibility for dog walking but it depends on my shift pattern. I'm an early riser, so morning walks are absolutely fine! I work 3 days a week in Lindley Huddersfield – pet sitting would be suitable if on certain days they can be left alone. Unfortunately I can't care for pets in my own home. Not because I don't want to but it's a rented property in a listed building.

Highly recommend!!! I would give more stars if I could. She has honestly been brilliant. Letitia does a brief visit to get to know you and your cat. She goes over the plan to make sure she understands everything. My kitten adores her from the videos I have seen. I revieved a number of pictures and videos as my kitten is so playful. I am honestly so grateful for finding Letitia. I will be using her again in the future ❤️ she did three visits a day and I had someone else do the fourth visit who I would 100% not recommend. Having two different sitters has helped me understand the service and what is provided. I got very little back in terms of updates and even forgotten to say she had been today. I got one line messages where as Letitia shared changing of litter, food and play/energy levels. Thank you so so much!!! I hope this review reassures you that your cat will be okay❤️

Received daily updates and photos which really put my mind at ease while I was away. She clearly bonded so well with my cat, and it was obvious Lasy was happy, comfortable and well cared for throughout. I’ve used her before and have always had a great experience, and I’d happily use her again in the future. Highly recommend.
This is the first time I left my cats with anyone other than family. I didn’t need to worry. Brontë sent me photos and updated me after each visit. 100% happy with the service received. Antonia visited my cat twice a day as promised. She sent photos everyday and I could see that my cat was happy and relaxed in his usual sleeping spots. Antonia also took care of opening and closing my curtains and making sure my house was secure. Highly recommend Antonia and would be happy to use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
