“Cody is absolutely lovely. She came to the house for a meet and greet prior to looking after my cat. She kept me up to date every day, took pictures and did her best to spend time with Penny however she was a little too shy. I would 100% book Cody again.”

About: I haven’t owned a dog myself yet, but it’s something I’ve always wanted and I’m hoping to get one in the near future. In the meantime, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience looking after friends’ pets, including both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel settled and cared for while their owners are away. I really enjoy spending time with animals and make sure they get plenty of attention. I’m really active so love going for walks. I work full time, so I’d be looking for early mornings/evenings in the weekday. I work from home so could be flexible on lunch times too. I have a good availability over the weekend. You can trust me with your pet I will keep them safe and secure at all times. I’ll look after them based on their needs.
About: Hi! My name is Katrina and i’m a full- time Pet sitter and Dog walker. I have a beautiful Yorkie at home who i’ve owned for 10 years now. In addition, I’ve been a dog sitter for on and off for 1 year during my studies. Now, out of studies and want to dedicate full time to animals. I I look forward to meeting your fur baby :) I'm currently a university student and available as long you okay with a flexible schedule. Let's meet up and chat about schedule! I'm excited to look after your fur baby 🥰 i always ensure that no fur baby feels uncomfortable. My care always meets 100% of your fur babies needs so they feel safe, secure and comfortable. I prefer the fur baby and you to met for a walk in the park so you ensure that you are comfortable!
“What a lovely, calm, quietly confident person Marion is! She picked up on my dog Alfie's need for her to set her boundaries with him and within the hour he was completely responsive to her, even with all the excitement! Will definitely request Marion's time again.”

About: I have experience with different breeds of dog after sitting/boarding for friends and family as well as on here. I live with my fiancé who is also able to help and we live in a pet friendly apartment complex in the city centre. We also have a 2.5 year old mini sausage dog (male) who is super gentle and a great playmate, therefore have lots of toys and comfy beds for the pooches to sleep in. He can be a bit wary at first so it would be great to do a meet&greet first! We would of course look after yours as well as we would our own. We usually take our sausage on a short walk first thing, again after lunchtime and before dinner but happy to adjust to any specific needs. We can provide attention and cuddles, walks and toilet breaks as long and often as the pooch needs, can also provide many toys and stimulation for them.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have always had a passion for animals. Having grown up around dogs and cared for my own, I have developed a strong understanding of their needs, routines, and behaviours. I am home full-time and available seven days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility for dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, and I always take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I have my own Lhasa Apso called Romeo, who I walk twice a day, so I understand the importance of regular exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, shorter strolls, playtime, or simply having company, I am happy to tailor my care to their individual needs.
“Pooja took excellent care of my cat Toby on my extended holiday! She provided him with all the love and attention he needed while also maintaining his food, litter boxes, and my apartment in my absence. Her constant updates and pictures put my mind at ease while away from little friend. She went above and beyond with her attention to detail and even provided some dietary recommendations which have had immediate and long lasting results. I highly recommend her to anyone needing pet care.”

About: Hi. I’m a professional, qualified actuary based here in Leeds city centre. I have experience dog sitting for a range of dogs (including senior citizens). I’m hoping to build relationships with a few local dogs (and their owners!) for sitting and walking services. I’m located close to Leeds train station and typically head along the canals for walks. I work full time although my work is flexible with when and where I work meaning I can typically adapt my schedule to your needs. I’m very patient and I have cared for nervous dogs in the past so I’m used to quickly building trust with them. I enjoy walks around Leeds city centre or further afield in Yorkshire on the weekend. I live with my partner who is equally caring and loving of dogs.
About: I love all kinds of pets & I’m eager to spend some time with dogs! I have experience independently caring for dogs, walking them, training them & giving them plenty of fuss. Whilst I love pets, I can’t currently commit to one of my own due to my work schedule but I would love to give your pup the love & care I would give my own. I am comfortable with walking dogs on any kind of lead & I am more than happy to keep up with any training your pup might be doing. I’m happy to administer any medications your pet might need but I’m not qualified to give injections. If my calendar looks full, please just drop me a message & I can try & squeeze your pet in :) I currently work part time in retail & I am available Wednesday afternoons & on weekends. I go on a lot of hikes & walks so if you have a particularly active pet that’s happy in the car, I’d love to take them for a day out. I can’t currently keep pets in my own home as I live in a flat. But I am comfortable looking after pets in their own homes & taking them on walks on whatever kind of lead they need.
About: I love dogs because they bring so much joy, loyalty, and companionship into my life. Their unconditional love and playful energy make every day brighter, and I truly enjoy the bond that forms between a person and their dog. Growing up with dogs my whole life has given me a deep appreciation for their unique personalities and the comfort they provide. I've also gained a lot of experience over the years when it comes to walking, bathing, and looking after dogs. Having been around them for as long as I can remember, I’ve learned how to meet their needs and make sure they’re happy and healthy. Whether it’s long walks, grooming, or just spending quality time together, I feel confident in caring for dogs and making sure they feel loved and well-cared for. I currently work nights so I'm fully available throughout the day and the weekends, so I'm more than happy for dog walks during the day or having cats/dogs stay as well. My home is very safe has a back garden thats fenced and my room/ Living room is spacious and my roommates also love animals and have plenty of animals in their homes. We currently have no pets.
About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including rescue dogs with unique needs. Over the years, I've worked with everything from tiny, energetic terriers to large, strong breeds, and I understand how to tailor care to suit each dog’s personality and comfort level. I have a special place in my heart for rescue dogs—I have my own, a 5-year-old black Labrador, who’s taught me so much about patience, trust, and the deep bond that forms with compassionate care. Whether it’s a shy rescue or a playful pup, I’m dedicated to making every dog feel safe, loved, and well looked after. I currently do varying shift patterns so I have plenty of time to play and walk your pet throughout the week and weekends! I’ll be keeping my daily availability updated each day. When caring for a pet in their home, I prioritise creating a safe, calm, and familiar environment to help both the pet and owner feel at ease. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine closely—whether that’s feeding times, walks, or bedtime habits—to maintain consistency and comfort. I’m respectful of the home, keeping everything clean and secure, and I’m happy to provide regular updates, including photos and messages, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. Building trust is key, and I treat each home and pet as if they were my own—with kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care.
“I highly recommend Charlotte as she is both gentle and reliable. Despite my cat Tippi newly adjusting to the loss of her brother Seamus, Charlotte was able to give her reassurance enough so that Tippi relaxed and responded to her attentions. Charlotte's daily pics were of great comfort. I will happily have Charlotte take care of Tippi going forward.”
About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a child and grew up with one at home. Over the past few years, I’ve been dog sitting for my friends’ pets and truly enjoy every moment of it. I’d love to have a dog of my own, but at the moment my circumstances don’t allow it — so caring for others’ dogs is the next best thing! I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m available from Friday to Monday and can easily fit in walks, playtime, or overnight stays during those days. Your dog’s safety is my priority. I always follow your instructions carefully — from feeding routines and walks to any house rules or training habits you have in place. I make sure doors and gates are securely closed, keep a close eye on your pet at all times, and create a calm, familiar environment so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away

About: I have cats myself, as well as regularly feeding and caring for friends and neighbours cats. I love caring for cats and their different personalities and quirks. As well as being a cat person, I also love dogs! I have cared for dogs of all sizes, including overnight. I’m available to house sit on weekends and to do drop in visits during the week. Caring for your pet will be my priority. I will treat your pets as I’d treat my own, which is what I’d always want in a pet sitter. I am happy to administer medication if needed (I have experience with this due to my own elderly cats), and I will always put the safety of your pets first.
About: I’ve loved dogs since a very young age, but never had the chance to own one due to family or living arrangements! Their energy and affection is always something that brightens my day and I’ll even cross the street just to say hello to one! I’ve dog sat and walked many times before with glowing reviews and happy customers 😁 I created my own business at 17-18 years old to walk and sit dogs, but since then university, work and moving house has gotten in the way! I’m very comfortable and approachable with any breed, and I’m always willing to listen to any advice you want to give me. I will never pretend to know everything and I love to learn! If I sound like a good match for your dog or cat, please get in touch! I work from home but have 2 days off a week where I am free as a bird and eager to see as many furry faces as I can! I am a gentle and understanding person who is happy to match any energy or temperament I come across. Whether a pet desires intense interaction and attention or just a friendly face to help them out at a distance, I am happy to oblige.

“Thomas is amazing with our puppy. He always follows our instructions and will check in if anything is unclear. From his updates our puppy looks like he is having the best time! Thank you Thomas ❤️”

“Justyna was amazing with our dog, very professional and easy going. She was able to accommodate a last minute booking from us and everything went so smoothly. Will definitely be booking in with her again! Thanks so much Justyna.”

Cornelia was the perfect person to look after my cat when I was away. Not only experienced with administering medicine but also accepted and liked by Björk from the moment she entered. National geographic worthy photos in the visit report were a bonus :) 10/10,would recommend to anyone

Joanna is a great cat sitter! I really appreciate how well she looks after Katja when I'm away, giving her lots of fuss and cuddles. Katja can be a bit of a grump but she clearly loves Joanna! She also sends a photo and message every day. Thanks for doing such a great job again!
Hattie was excellent and I couldn't have asked for anything more! So much care and attention not only for my pet but also my home and making sure everything was communicated to me :) This was my first time using Rover & pet sitter and have had the most positive experience and without a doubt would like to book in with Hattie again.

Emily did such a lovely job looking after our two cats while we were away. She was really easy and quick to communicate with to book and arrange dates, and managed to coax our shy cats out to play and say hello. She sent lots of photos and updated us at every visit. We would absolutely recommend Emily, and will be rebooking, thanks Emily!
We booked Natasha to look after our kitties for a week and she was fantastic! She sent us updates with every visit along with photos of our boys. She respected our home and we felt the cats were safe with her. Definitely will use Natasha's service again and recommend her to anyone looking for a dog or cat sitter :)

Hazal was great looking after our little cat! She was great at keeping in touch to give us updates and keep our minds at ease. We got lots of pictures and videos of them playing - we came home to a very happy cat. Would recommend to anyone needing a cat sitter while they’re away.

Olivia was brilliant with our cat Timmy. He follows a specific diet plan which Olivia thoroughly followed. Olivia took photos after each visit which was lovely to see timmy interacting and being very comfortable around her. Olivia kept the litter tray and surroundings clean, thank you very much Olivia. Highly recommend and would 100% rebook!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
