About: I love all kinds of pets & I’m eager to spend some time with dogs! I have experience independently caring for dogs, walking them, training them & giving them plenty of fuss. I am also Canine First Aid trained. Whilst I love pets, I can’t currently commit to one of my own due to my work schedule but I would love to give your pup the love & care I would give my own. I am comfortable with walking dogs on any kind of lead & I am more than happy to keep up with any training your pup might be doing. I’m happy to administer any medications your pet might need but I’m not qualified to give injections. If my calendar looks full, please just drop me a message & I can try & squeeze your pet in :) I currently work part time in retail & I am available Wednesday afternoons & on weekends. I go on a lot of hikes & walks so if you have a particularly active pet that’s happy in the car, I’d love to take them for a day out. I can’t currently keep pets in my own home as I live in a flat. But I am comfortable looking after pets in their own homes & taking them on walks on whatever kind of lead they need.

“Thomas is amazing with our puppy. He always follows our instructions and will check in if anything is unclear. From his updates our puppy looks like he is having the best time! Thank you Thomas ❤️”

“Cody is absolutely lovely. She came to the house for a meet and greet prior to looking after my cat. She kept me up to date every day, took pictures and did her best to spend time with Penny however she was a little too shy. I would 100% book Cody again.”

“This was my first time hiring a pet sitter and the whole experience could have been smoother. Katrina gave us peace of mind and constant communication. Our cats, who do not like strangers a lot, warmed up to her pretty quickly. When we came home they were relaxed and obviously well cared for. Thank you katrina - will definitely seek your service again”

“Izzy has been fantastic with our elderly cat whilst we have been away. She has been great at keeping in contact with updates and photos and we would definitely recommend her!”

About: Eager to get some more reviews, as I’ve just started on the app. I’ve had dogs for the past 13 years. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs both in the UK and abroad. I love dog training and research it in my free time - so I’m willing to train your dog to be better on the leash or to do tricks if you’d like. Happy to do meet and greets! Excited to meet your pets! I have a flexible university schedule and would love some time to unwind spent with animals! I usually have a day off of uni as well as a free weekend but am happy to commute from further out of Leeds for my studies if my care involves a longer stay. I am happy to either check in on/stay full time at your house to look after your pets. I want to tailor my care to what each pet needs so everyone can have the best experience!
“Second visit with Paul, in just two visits he got our normally shy cat to give cuddles and a little play. Very much appreciated the extra attention so she would feel a little less lonely. Came home to a happy kitty.”

“I highly recommend Charlotte as she is both gentle and reliable. Despite my cat Tippi newly adjusting to the loss of her brother Seamus, Charlotte was able to give her reassurance enough so that Tippi relaxed and responded to her attentions. Charlotte's daily pics were of great comfort. I will happily have Charlotte take care of Tippi going forward.”
About: I am a animals lovers and I take care of different animals starting from kindergarten. I studied animal care while I was highschool so I havd a good foundation for taking care of animals I am currently a student, so the time is flexible. I can visit your house or walking a dog during my free time. I wish I could meet animals everyday! I can easily understand whats dog and cats need with my past experience and my knowledge from my animals care education. Also I am a careful person, so you can rely on me while I am looking at your pets

About: I come from a family of working dog breeders and boarders for and have a plethora of experience with many different dog breeds alongside some show cat breeds so I understand not two pets are the same and you can’t assume anything! I have on and off dog and cat sat for friends and known contacts but not professionally on an app such as Rover before! I work full time so youll usually find my availability will be mainly tied to evenings, weekends but sometimes I may be available during the work for the odd day or for short periods around an hour! Making sure your fur-baby is cared for and safe is my top priority. Whenever I attend a visit or your home I will always make sure your pets needs are discussed prior with you. This is so that your pets routine isnt too disrupted more than just meeting a new person because that is stressful enough. When visiting I will always care for your pet as if my own and when visiting or staying at your home, taking the upmost care to not disrupt anything and to let you know if anything happens immediately and what has been done to rectify.

About: I have experience caring for family friends’ lovely Cocker Spaniels, regularly looking after them, taking them on walks around my neighbourhood and making sure they are always safe, happy and comfortable. I always make sure they are fed, have plenty of playtime and receive lots of attention and affection. I genuinely get so excited to see them, and now whenever they see me, they greet me with lots of excited kisses! I am responsible and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I pay close attention to their behaviour and individual needs, and I would always follow an owner’s instructions carefully to make sure their pet feels comfortable and well cared for. I understand how important it is to know that your pet is in safe and caring hands, and I would always do my best to give them the same love and attention I would give my own. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time between lectures to fit pet care into my routine. I can dedicate time to walks, playtime, feeding and giving pets the attention they need. I’m available through the day on weekdays and weekends, making it easy for me to work around your pet’s routine and provide reliable and consistent care. When caring for a pet in their owner’s home, I would always prioritise the pet's routine, comfort and safety. I’m reliable and punctual, and would make sure to follow their usual feeding, walking, play and sleeping routines as closely as possible. I also pay attention to small details, such as what helps a pet feel calm and comfortable, so I can provide care that is suited to them as an individual. Clear communication with the owner is also important to me. I would keep them updated and let them know about anything unusual or concerning. I would also treat their home with the same respect and care as I would my own. I believe proper preparation prevents poor performance, so I would make sure I understand the pet’s needs and the owner’s instructions before starting.
About: I’ve grown up around animals, having both a cat and a dog of my own, so caring for pets has always been a big part of my life. Since living in Leeds, I’ve regularly walked dogs for clients, including Kevin and Macey, building trusted relationships with both the dogs and their owners. I also have plenty of experience with cats. I lived with my housemate’s cat, Truffle, who I frequently looked after, and I’ve cat-sat Cora and Leo while their owners were away. Over the summer and holiday periods, I regularly pet sit for friends and clients when they travel, so I’m comfortable taking responsibility for pets for longer periods as well as shorter visits and walks. I’m confident with feeding, walking, playtime, companionship and following each pet’s individual routine. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and enjoy getting to know their different personalities. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet, so I’m always happy to send plenty of photos and updates while owners are away! 🐾 Pet care fits really well into my routine and I have plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting throughout the week. I’m also available during weekends, lunchtime and holiday periods. I love being outdoors, so dog walks are something I genuinely enjoy rather than just a job! I’m happy to work around each pet’s usual routine and can discuss timings with owners depending on what they need. I understand how much trust it takes to leave both your pet and your home in someone else’s care. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible, including feeding times, walks, medication or any individual needs. I’m respectful of people’s homes and make sure pets are safe, comfortable and given plenty of attention while you’re away. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. 🐾
“As usual Justyna gave lots of updates and made us feel confident Tinker was being well looked after. She is reliable and was able to help us out last minute when we had a change of plans!”

About: I'm an animal lover that loves to spend time with animals, particularly dogs and I've been dog-walking and looking after cats and the like for a few years now. I've walked dogs of all different sizes, personalities and breeds - my personal favourite has been Fred the Bassett Hound as they're known for their stubborn-ness but when they love you, they love big! One of my favourite things to do is to sing and play to them! (I play guitar) They love it every time - especially puppies :) I also have experience assisting with new pet additions to the family, and have helped a number of pups settle into routines and potty training. And I've helped to improve older dogs in their recall where there was very little before! I love walks myself and and enjoy taking doggies to play at local parks to socialise with other friends. And if they're more introverted, they tend to let the other dogs know! I've been fortunate to dog and cat sit all over the world on my travels, including boarding stays in LA, New York, London and now Leeds :) I work from home (except for some Thursdays) and am currently finishing my research Masters also so am very present for quality time. I am mostly a homebody so am around also most evenings where pets are not left alone for lengthy periods. I live in a spacious flat and can house crates if required, smoke-free, arty, and clean :) I treat animals with the individual attention and care that they need, based on what they themselves let me know upon meeting and getting to know - just like people!
About: I’ve been around lots of different lovely cats and other animals for many years, and I’m very confident in looking after them in whatever they need💖🫶✨ I have a hybrid job so I’m able to work from home when needed, I’m up at 7am everyday and sleep quite late. I’m definitely a homebody so I’m in at the weekends quite often. I live in a flat in the first floor with no balcony, but outdoor access is very easy, and I live near some green areas.
About: Hi. I’m a professional, qualified actuary based here in Leeds city centre. I have experience dog sitting for a range of dogs (including senior citizens). I’m hoping to build relationships with a few local dogs (and their owners!) for sitting and walking services. I’m located close to Leeds train station and typically head along the canals for walks. I work full time although my work is flexible with when and where I work meaning I can typically adapt my schedule to your needs. I’m very patient and I have cared for nervous dogs in the past so I’m used to quickly building trust with them. I enjoy walks around Leeds city centre or further afield in Yorkshire on the weekend. I live with my partner who is equally caring and loving of dogs.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Leeds
Cornelia was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of Nico and kept me updated throughout with lovely photos and videos, which was so reassuring while I was away. She was kind, attentive and clearly genuinely cared about him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cornelia to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter. I’ll definitely be booking her again!

We used Becca recently for the first time to look after our two cats during a ten day holiday. She was absolutely brilliant, keeping us updated every day with how they were and sending lots of photos. She even managed to get round our aloof girl, not an easy thing to do! We will definitely be asking Becca to cat sit again, thank you again for looking after Wilma and Mabel.

Olivia was amazing from the get go. She took the time to come over before to meet myself and Squid which was really nice. Squid wasn’t well socialised as a kitten so can be abit standoffish with strangers, but Olivia was patient and took the time to interact with her on her own terms, making her feel comfortable and safe. We really appreciated the daily picture updates and can’t thank Olivia enough for caring for her while we were away. I would happily have her care for Squid again.

We had Abbie look after Jasper for 4 visits. She came to meet him beforehand and was very professional, taking notes to make sure she didn’t forget anything. She gave Jasper very thorough report cards and the cutest photos. Would deffo book Abbie again in the future.

Tamsin was absolutely wonderful with Nova while we were away. She sent us detailed updates after every visit, complete with photos, so we never had to worry. Nova was clearly comfortable with her from the very first visit and became more affectionate over time, even napping right next to her. We previously used a cattery and the difference was night and day. Couldn’t recommend Tamsin more. We’ll definitely be rebooking!

Freya has been just wonderful, super friendly and accommodating, but also a great friend to our handsome boyo. He's never been left alone for more than half a day-ish but Freya helped to put us at ease over leaving him and also keep him happy, entertained, and thoroughly looked-after in our absence. The daily reports were comprehensive and Freya was lightning-fast to communicate whenever we had additional questions or requests. We will absolutely be back and honestly couldn't have hoped for better!

Thank you Kirsty, a slightly different request, but its very reassuring to leave my Tortoise in safe hands. All duties done as requested and loads of updates and communication as this was the first time I'd used this service and was a little unsure how it all works.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
