“Thomas is an excellent sitter! He ensures he knows your pets routines, takes the dogs on great walks and sends the most amazing pictures! Maverick always has the best time when he stays with Thomas both for daycare and overnight. Do not hesitate to book!! Thanks Thomas! 🐶”

“Our dog has such a lovely time with Amrita and her gorgeous dogs. It’s wonderful to know that she is happy and safe. Their house is gorgeous and they take really good care to make sure all of her needs are met.”

About: I grew up with a Sheltie and a mixed-breed dog, and through years of living closely with them, I developed a deep understanding of animals' emotional and physical needs. This lifelong bond has shaped the way I care for every pet, treating them with the same love and attention I would give my own. In addition to my own dogs, I've cared for many breeds including Dobermans, Corgis, Poodles, Huskies, and Border Collies, as well as cats. I always aim to create a safe, happy, and loving environment for each pet while their owners are away. Your pets are in experienced, caring hands! I work from home and am available to provide dedicated pet care. Your pets will receive my full attention, with flexible scheduling for walks, visits, and cuddles! There would be no other pets in the my accommodation, ensuring a peaceful environment and avoiding any potential pet conflicts. When staying with pets, I make sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and safe - I aim to provide same love and care to your pets as you provided for them. I will stick to their usual routines, from feeding times to favourite toys and sleeping spots. I will also ensure they get plenty of attention, exercise if needed, and, of course, affection, just as if they were my own.

“Hattie has been amazing! This was the first time I’d ever used daycare for my dog Stan so I was a bit nervous and Hattie really helped put my mind at ease from the start. Hattie is flexible, responsive, experienced and sends lots of photos and updates during the day, which I really appreciate. Most importantly, Stan loves it and was clearly happy to go back! We're really glad we found her 🐶”

“My dog had a lovely time with Deirdre and her partner. I felt more than comfortable leaving her in their care and would happily do so again. Thanks again for having her!!”

“Lindsey took amazing care of our nervous little Shih Tzu Gonzalez! It was so nice to see him playing with Buster, and they really put the effort in to make us and Gonzalez feel welcome. Thank you so much!”

“Following a recommendation from a friend and a couple of messages to Laura i was happy that our dog would be well looked after, this was even more the case after dropping her off. We received photos and updates throughout so we could see all was good. When collecting our dog you could see that she was happy and would have happily gone back in. Laura was very understanding & accommodating to our dogs needs.”

“Hannah and their flatmate were amazing looking after my Dachshund pup! He’s very nervous around new people so I was a bit worried, but he settled in quickly and had a great time! Highly recommend :)”

“Jessica and James have been looking after Milo a couple of times a week for the past few months, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. I’ve already rebooked because I know he’s in the best hands. They genuinely treat Milo as if he’s one of their own, and it’s clear how much they care about him. He absolutely adores their dog, Cookie, and the two of them have the best time together. Every time I pick him up, he comes home happy, content and pleasantly tired after a day full of fun. As a teacher, it’s such a relief to know that Milo is safe, loved and well cared for while I’m at work. Jessica and James regularly send photos and videos throughout the day, which is so reassuring, and they’re always flexible and accommodating with timings. The biggest compliment I can give is how excited Milo gets when he sees them—his tail starts wagging before we’ve even reached the door! That says everything. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for caring, reliable dog sitters.”

“Eunice and James looked after our pup really well. He had a great time with Obie. Really good communication and photo updates throughout the day. Will be sending Nelson again!”

“This was my first time having a pet sitter no less it having to be just 4 days after I got my pup! I was so anxious to be handing over my precious girl but she could not have been in safer hands. With constant communications and the most amazing photos of her, my mind was truly put at ease. I cannot recommend this couple enough. They were unbelievable kind and patient with myself, my partner and my pup. If I could give the 10 stars I would! ❤️❤️”

“Steve was the perfect dog sitter, friendly and flexible. Otis had an amazing day with him involving lots of walks and playtime. He was a very happy puppy come home time. Would definitely recommend, thank you.”

“Sue was wonderful with our cavapoo Toby. She scheduled a meet and greet before so he had his bearings, provided regular updates and pictures/ videos through the day and took him on two walks. Would recommend Sue to anyone in the area looking for daycare!”

“Thomas was fantastic with Robin, my high energy young male dog. . Robin clearly had a great time with Thomas - he came home a very relaxed and happy. He was thoughtful and great at understanding all my requests - a good communicator. They have a good set up too. Thank you.”

“Grace and Sam have looked after Norman for the last two days and it’s safe to say he has loved every second! Grace was so reassuring and sent lots of photos and updates. They both clearly love dogs and we are so pleased we have found them, Norman is already booked in for next month! Would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you both so much!”

“Xinyuan was the most amazing dog sitter for my anxious chihuahua! She gave me so much information and help beforehand and then updated me throughout the day and created such a happy and calming environment for my dog. I would definitely recommend her and book with her again.”

First visit. Thomas has a quiet, calm manner which suits my dog, Freddie. He took him to Roundhay Park where Freddie walked happily. Freddie spent the afternoon snoozing and when I picked him up, he was pleased to see me but had apparently been settled and content with Thomas.

Truly grateful for Grace and Sam! This was the first time Enzo was left with someone other than myself or my family and he was so well taken cared of. Grace was kind enough to meet with us the night before so that Enzo and I can feel reassured. She communicated really well, kept me updated throughout the day. Enzo had such a fun time! We will definitely come back and we highly recommend Grace. Thank you again so much!!

Our boy is reactive and not good with other dogs. Tom ensured he was kept away from other dogs and sent us a beautiful picture of our boy looking relaxed. He made Milo comfortable and we know he treated him like his own. We have used Tom previously and never have to worry about Milo whilst we are away. Thank you

Arlo has such a wonderful time when he stays with Abigail and Tiny. They both treat him like royalty and Tiny is fast becoming one of his very best friends. Abigail has twice looked after him in very hot weather, he is a moderately high energy dog and can be frustrated when he can't go out to play, but she and Tiny kept him happy and entertained indoors. I would happily recommend Abigail to other owners.

Lindsey was absolutely fantastic with our Gonzalez! She kept us updated and understood Gonzalez' needs and temperament right from the start which really put our minds at ease. She's an extremely experienced dog sitter and Gonzalez loves going to stay with her and Buster - highly recommend to anyone!

Adelita was great with my dog Sheroo, he enjoyed his day with her and had no issues when we left. Adelita is very calm and obviously loves dogs and she is super caring and kind in her approach. Very professional and reliable, will definitely use her again, thanks so much.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
