About: Hi! I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and absolutely love being around them. I’ve previously dog-walked for local families in my area, caring for a variety of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I genuinely miss living with my own dog, and I find dog walking to be one of the most enjoyable (and rewarding!) ways to stay active. I’m familiar with the local parks and walking routes, and I also have a car—so I’m flexible and can travel to you or accommodate specific routines. Whether it’s long walks, belly rubs, or keeping to a feeding schedule, I treat every dog like they’re my own. My work is completely flexible and I can work from home whenever I like. This means I can walk before work is 7am-9am, during lunch 12pm-2pm and after work 5pm onwards. I live near 3x big parks or can do pavement walks. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I always follow your instructions closely, keep dogs on leash in public, and stay aware of their surroundings. I treat your home with respect and make sure your pet feels calm, secure, and cared for at all times. I also have a fenced back yard and a gated front yard.

About: **Pricing below includes a 15% booking fee & an additional 15% fee they deduct from each booking I make!** I'm Addie, 32, she/they. Since birth, I've lived with all different dog breeds, from jack russels and staffys, to huskies and westies. From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a pet dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house with 3 other dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). Because of this, all my love and attention is on caring for the pets I look after. I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.
About: I've previously had a chocolate lab from a puppy and now have Oscar, a 2 year old Lurcher. I've also had various other pets throughout my sons childhood. Oscar goes to other pet sitters through Rover, whilst I'm at work and so I decided to offer my time to do the same for others. Oscar is still young and playful, therefore nervous dogs would not be suitable. I live with my 20 year old son and Saluki sized lurcher Oscar. I live in apartment but have access to an enclosed garden and lots of walks by the river and canal. My street is on the Meanwood trail and 5 mins from Meanwood Park. There are woodland walks in every direction from my house - lots of places to explore. I'm very easy going and will stick to whatever regime and requirements the owners need. Whether it's long walks or just snuggles on the sofa, Oscar and I are happy. Your pet will not be left alone at any point.
“Right from the start, I knew Hugo would be well looked after by Dawn and her family. She made us both feel welcome and instantly relaxed. She sent lots of photos and videos and kept me updated on Hugo’s day. He’s a big dog with lots of energy but Dawn embraced this, walked and played with him and let him rest when he needed it. You can see how much Dawn genuinely loves dogs and always talks about the other dogs she looks after by name which shows that this is a passion for Dawn and not just a job. I will absolutely be booking Dawn again”

About: Hello there! I'm Nat and i'm coming back to freelance pet care now that i've completed by degree! I used to have a little dog of my own so i understand the stress of going about daily life/travelling and wanting your pet to be safe with a trusted carer. I'll do my best to cater to you and your pet's needs and also give updates while you're away. Feel free to contact me :) I currently work as a nurse 3-4 times a week and would love to help you out on my days off! I also fully flexible on my days off and would be willing to travel or house your pet on those days! I hope to gain your pet’s trust and make them feel comfortable initially. My priority is to ensure they’re safe and happy. I would also normally send the owner to send regular updates too.

Thomas was really great with Gonzalez - despite him being a rescue and reactive in nature in new environments/with new people, he put us at ease with his confidence, natural ease and kept us updated with photos as well as him giving him space whilst he got used to his new doggy daycare environment! Highly recommend

Lewis got on great with Mateo and showed him a great time with his greyhound Rodney. Him and Mateo seemed best mates by the end of the day and both their snoots happily stuck out the door when I picked him up. Got loads of updates during the day, including a couple of Mateo sprawled on his back on the couch. Happy to have another great minder in the area!

Susie provided amazing daily daycare for several months for our Max, 8 year old tibetan terrier. She was always on time, communicative and professional. She clearly build a strong and loving relationship with him and would definitely rebook in the future. Thanks Susie! ✨

This was my first time having a pet sitter no less it having to be just 4 days after I got my pup! I was so anxious to be handing over my precious girl but she could not have been in safer hands. With constant communications and the most amazing photos of her, my mind was truly put at ease. I cannot recommend this couple enough. They were unbelievable kind and patient with myself, my partner and my pup. If I could give the 10 stars I would! ❤️❤️

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
