“I felt totally confident leaving my puppy with Hollie she was welcoming and caring. On picking up my puppy it was clear she had an great day playing with Hollie’s dog and she was settled and bright when I got her home. She was never upset being dropped off and seemed very happy to be with Hollie. I would totally recommend her and would take either of my dogs back if needed. Thank you Hollie and Oscar.”

“Eleanor and Edward are the best possible people to care for your dog. Stanley 100% loves them and dotty more than us now, and always comes back to happy and tired. I couldn’t recommend anyone more.”

“Our 3.5 month pup had a lovely day with Jessica and her husband. We plan for him to stay while we go on holiday and wanted to give him chance to get to know them first. We were anxious as we had not left him with anyone else, but we didn’t need to worry as he settled straight away- and had lots of fun. Jessica is quick to respond to messages and sent photos of his day. Thank you”

“We cannot recommend Vivianne highly enough. We dropped off Granville our border terrier for the day for the first time and we were a bit worried - how would he settle, would he be OK with a new person in new surroundings?. We shouldn't have worried. Vivianne kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the day. When we collected him, we had comprehensive feedback and Granville was happy and settled and seemed to have had a great day, meeting a new friends and getting lots of attention. We were delighted with his excellent care and will be back!! Its great that we can be confident that he is looked after so well.”

About: I’ve honestly had dogs around me for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for everything from tiny pups to large mixed breeds, so I’m completely used to all kinds of dog personalities, sizes, and energy levels. Right now, I have my own 9 year old dog, Simba, so I really understand the day-to-day of caring for a pet, from keeping up with their favorite walk routines to just knowing when they need some quiet downtime. I know how important it is to feel like your dog is safe and happy when you're away, and I promise your pup will be treated like absolute family here! I am at home full-time, which means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone and will receive constant care and attention throughout the day. My schedule is incredibly flexible, allowing me to easily maintain your pup's exact feeding times, frequent potty breaks, and specific walk routines. Whether they need active daytime companionship or just a quiet presence to keep them company while they snooze, I am here all day to make sure they feel completely secure and looked after. We have a really warm, dog-loving home where your dog will be treated like one of our own. Our house is a lively, happy family space with myself, my husband (working full-time), and our two university aged kids who are currently back home and absolutely adore dogs. We also have a 4-year-old daughter who is wonderful and very gentle around pets (though she'll be at school for most of the summer). Outside, we have a fully fenced garden with a great grass section, so there's plenty of space for safe sniffing and stretching. Between all of us and our friendly dog Simba, your pup will get non-stop affection, company, and a safe family environment to settle right into!
“Our Apollo has a great time with Constancia and her family. When dropping him off, he jumps out of the car straight to the door and once it’s opened, he’s off which is very reassuring.”

“My little dog Mila absolutely loved Laura. In fact every time we walk past the end of her street now my dog pulls me to go & see her. Laura has a warm & kind soul which is perfect for pet sitting our beloved animals. I will definitely be using her services again!!”

“Thank you Steve . You are amazing . Steve and Sandra took care of our high energy puppy for dog day care. Steve’s outlook is super positive, especially when our pup chose to discover anything and everything in his house . His communications and updates were excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend.”

“We were so impressed with the care and love Emily gave to our Lhasa Apso Bobby ( Bob the Dog). It is the first time we have left him outside family and we were nwrvous. But Emily clearly had the knack of making him completely at home and Bob made friends with her dog Lando. She texted us after an hour to reassure us all was good and the photos were lovely of his stay. We would absolutely recommend Emily to other owners.”

“After having an awful experience with Trusted Housesitters, I was anxious about leaving my dog with anyone else, even for a day. Meeting with Ilona in advance of the daysit helped me to feel more comfortable and the day itself went really well. She sent loads of pictures and took him on some great walks, and he was knackered at the end of the day. We hope to have Ilona watch Bryn in the future :)”

“Highly recommend. 5 stars ***** Joanne is a lovely, kind and caring person. Our dog Bella can be nervous around new people and Joanne manage get Bella settled and playing ball within 5 minutes of our arrival. Joanne is a natural with dogs and we felt very comfortable leaving Bella in her care. Joanne gave us peace of mind by adapting to Bella’s needs and we felt reassured to leave Bella in such capable and caring hands. We would definitely use Joanne again and we highly recommend.”

“Absolutely incredible experience. Hannah took great care of Ewok, and kept us in the loop throughout the day while she got much-needed socialization time with the other dogs. Could not have asked for a better sitter - highly recommended.”

About: I grew up with dogs and absolutely love having them around. I work from home, so I have plenty of time for lunchtime walks, playtime, and giving your dog lots of attention. I’m also very happy to have a snuggle on the sofa in the evenings. I work from home three days a week, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give dogs real attention throughout the day. I also have the option to bring a dog into the office, so they’re never left alone for long periods. I love being active and would always make sure they get a morning and lunchtime walk so lots of company. I have a fenced garden in a three bed new build property and I live close to fields and nice walks, which I love to go on.

I highly recommend Amanda! Milo stayed with her for a full day, and she was absolutely wonderful. I really appreciated all the photo and video updates she sent; it was obvious that Milo was super happy and well taken care of. Her communication was flawless. I will definitely trust her with Milo again!

Lisa is brilliant! My Cavalier King Charles ‘Rupert’ has now been twice for daycare and he was very excited to see Lisa on the second visit! She walks him and plays with him outside in a secure area and so I can relax when he’s there knowing he is safe and well cared for. Her house is lovely, clean and welcoming, Rupert loves going for the day and will no doubt go for many more! Thanks Lisa 😊

Hannah looks after Alfie one day a week and I couldn't be happier with the service she provides. Her training and experience gives me piece of mind that she cope with his allergies and understand his separation anxiety. The photos she shares proves to me he his having the best time ever running around with new friends but is also comfortable enough to curl up on the sofa for a nap.

Our first time ever leaving Star with someone and we were quite nervous about doing it. We were attending an event in the area and had travelled down from Scotland, we met with Helen the night before for a meet & greet with Star and we were put at ease straight away !! We dropped Star off the next morning , Helen looked after her for approx 7hrs managed to send some pictures when out on walks and kept us updated throughout which kept us at ease. We would highly recommended Helen she was fantastic with star and very welcoming

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions

- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
