I couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate, supportive and caring sitter - Monika came to my rescue last minute and my nervous, rescue dog was so happy to stay with her , in fact it was difficult to drag him away 😂

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I shared 13 wonderful years with my beloved dog, who passed away this March. I also had another sweet dog who sadly left me in September last year at only 4 years old due to cancer. Losing them was heartbreaking, but it only deepened my love and care for animals. I often care for pets of friends and family, treating them like my own. I would be truly happy to meet new dogs, spend time with them, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. Caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I’m here to give your dog regular walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention throughout the day. Your pet will always have company and love. My home is calm, safe, and pet-friendly, with cozy spots for resting and space for play. I follow your instructions closely to keep your dog’s routine consistent, and I always take time to understand their personality so they can settle in happily and feel at ease.

About: With years of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, I understand that leaving your beloved companion with someone new can feel daunting. That's why I focus on building a trusting relationship with both you and your pet from our very first meeting, taking the time to understand their personality, routine, and individual needs. Pet care is my full-time job, which means I’m fully dedicated to providing consistent, reliable care throughout the week. I structure my days around pet visits, dog walks, and day boarding, allowing me to be flexible with timings where needed. This flexibility means I can accommodate morning, lunchtime, and afternoon visits, as well as regular weekly routines or one-off bookings. Because this is my main focus, I’m able to give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve without rushing between commitments. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and family-based environment where animals are supervised throughout the day. I keep numbers small to ensure each pet receives individual attention and to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and any special requirements before their stay. This includes feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise levels, and any anxiety or behavioral considerations. For home visits, I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel secure in their own environment. I ensure doors and gates are secure, provide fresh water, feeding, litter tray cleaning, and enrichment or companionship during each visit. Trust is very important to me, so I treat every home with respect and care, and I keep pet owners updated with messages, photos, and updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs since i was born, training them, walking them and socialising them. I have always loved being surrounded by pets and seeing their little tails wag, I recently bought myself a dachshund and have trained him well to be sociable, kind natured and well behaved and he is like my first baby Im currently out of work studying midwifery from home caring for my dog hugo and we go on 2 walks a day, often down to the canal in Shipley. I love getting out the house and offering more mental stimulation! I have a fenced garden, and one friendly dachshund to keep your fur baby company. No children/cats and safety and happiness is my priority. No escapees round here!

We left our dog with a dogsitter for the first time, and I was quite worried — I didn’t know how he would behave, whether he might be aggressive, or miss us too much. But everything went perfectly. I received several messages with updates about how he was doing, and I always knew I could reach out and get a quick reply. I’m very grateful to Ance — she is truly caring and attentive, both with animals and their owners. Highly recommended!

About: I’ve lived in BD13, Thornton for over 30 years, and have been a dog owner for the last 10 years. I retired from FT work in 2024, so have plenty of spare time. I walk daily, no matter what the weather, and know some great off road routes for dog walking, so can help your dog maintain a level of fitness if for any reason you’re unable to do so, whether due to health issues, or because of work or family commitments, or if you just need a break! I’ll record walks on Strava so you can see what exercise your dog has done, and I’ll send you pics to show your doggie having fun! Car owner, so can drive to / from anywhere local. For home boarding, I live with my wife of 33 years, along with Angus, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. If your dog stays with us, they will be welcomed, and treated as our own. I retired from full time work in 2024, so have plenty of time to spare, and can offer dog care / walking services on most days. Even if it’s just a one off, to support your dog whilst you’re away for a special occasion, I can hopefully help out. My house has a lovely green garden, mostly fenced, so if your pet isn’t ready for walking the full requested period, they can relax either in my house or garden whilst you have time out! I will record all walks on strava, and send you screenshots of routes, so you know your dog has been exercised, aswell as pics if you wish.

I work from home so I’m able to take regular walks with the pet, as well as provide them with the attention they need daily. I have a flat, there is no lift so might not be ideal for a senior dog, there is plenty of green space near my house.

About: Hi, my name is Vita. I've been looking after furry friends for around 5 years now. I always joke saying that leaving your dog/cat with me is like sending them for a holiday while you go away. Long walks, playtime, cuddles and none stop attention is one of the top things I provide while they stay at mine. As I don't have pets of my own I am looking forward to any opportunity to have a four legged friend staying at mine. I have high sense of responsibility and their needs and comfort is my top priority. I am very flexible so anything can be discussed and agreed on so feel free to message me any time. If your little friend is friendly and have no issues with other dogs and cats, often I take them for a little trips and walks with my other furry friends or have them stay over while already having someone staying with me (often it's a cat with dog) but this can be discussed as a separate occasion. What I offer: *Long stays at mine if you go away and need somewhere to leave your friend for them to be comfortable and taken care of. *Short stays at mine 2-3 days *Daily walks. Mornings, afternoons or throughout the day. *Last minute drop offs and stays. Couple hours to couple days *Introduction meetups at yours or during the walk. *Regular updates with pictures or videos so you know your friend is doing well and is happy. *Anything else can be discussed and agreed on. Please feel free to message me with anything that you might need and I'm happy to discuss. Looking forward hearing from you soon 🤎 I'm working full time however have shift work during week. I'm available in the mornings or afternoon and have full 3 days where I am home. Looking after pets gives me the boost of having daily walks and having a companion while at home as I don't have pets of my own. I have a yard where they can freely room and run around. There is a park 10min walking distance from my house. Regular walks and playtime are part of daily life.

Dawn made everything very simple and stress-free. We visited her home a few days before. Dawn made us feel completely at ease and was happy to answer any questions. As soon as we left Bruno, we could hear him crying, but just a few minutes later Dawn was already sending us messages showing him calm and relaxed, which immediately put our minds at ease. Throughout the day, she kept us updated with photos and comments about how Bruno was doing. When we picked him up, he was calm and happy — a clear sign that he enjoyed his day with Dawn.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Bradford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Bradford on Rover is £25.3 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,779 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Bradford. About 86% of Bradford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Bradford commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
