About: Hi, we’re Rebecca and Harry, a pet-loving couple based in Apperley Bridge. Animals have always been a big part of our lives. Harry has grown up with both dogs and cats and has experience caring for family pets of all ages, while Rebecca has been around cats since childhood and understands the importance of providing loving, attentive care. We also regularly look after a friend’s energetic Springer Spaniel, so we’re comfortable with active dogs who enjoy plenty of exercise, playtime and attention. As keen outdoor enthusiasts, we love spending time walking and exploring, and we’re lucky to live right next to the canal, which provides fantastic routes for safe and enjoyable walks. About: I have loved all animals since a small child. I grew up with a west highland terrier, my brother had Rottweilers and I’ve helped look after neighbours dogs including labradors. Kirkstall Abbey and Becketts park are both less than 10 minutes to get to by foot - but I do have a car too for longer journeys. I’m in a flat, but it’s large and has a nice communal garden, my neighbours do have two very cute Maltese dogs, so any dog I care for will need to be friendly with other dogs. My flat is large and I have a nice medium sized fenced and gated communal garden. Any dogs I look after will get regular toilet breaks and walks. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, so your dog will get all of my attention!

I have always loved being surrounded by pets and seeing their little tails wag, I recently bought myself a dachshund and have trained him well to be sociable, kind natured and well behaved and he is like my first baby Im currently out of work studying midwifery from home caring for my dog hugo and we go on 2 walks a day, often down to the canal in Shipley. About: I’ve lived in BD13, Thornton for over 30 years, and have been a dog owner for the last 10 years. I retired from FT work in 2024, so have plenty of spare time. I walk daily, no matter what the weather, and know some great off road routes for dog walking, so can help your dog maintain a level of fitness if for any reason you’re unable to do so, whether due to health issues, or because of work or family commitments, or if you just need a break! I’ll record walks on Strava so you can see what exercise your dog has done, and I’ll send you pics to show your doggie having fun! Car owner, so can drive to / from anywhere local. For home boarding, I live with my wife of 33 years, along with Angus, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. If your dog stays with us, they will be welcomed, and treated as our own. I retired from full time work in 2024, so have plenty of time to spare, and can offer dog care / walking services on most days. Even if it’s just a one off, to support your dog whilst you’re away for a special occasion, I can hopefully help out. My house has a lovely green garden, mostly fenced, so if your pet isn’t ready for walking the full requested period, they can relax either in my house or garden whilst you have time out! About: Since being a young girl I have always had a love for pets, my first pet was my netherland dwarf rabbit called Snowy who is now 10 years old, I also kept hamsters for a few years and our family dog is a miniature poodle called Jeff who is nearly 6 years old. I often have sole responsibility for Jeff and Snowy when my parents are away or at work. My main responsibilities at the groomers were washing, drying, brushing the dogs whilst ensuring all safety measures were met, building a bond and trust with the dogs was paramount. I implemented the discussions with my family about having a dog, I had to do all the research and find a dog that would be suitable for our family home and I did that by finding our Jeff. Our house and garden are both very dog friendly and we also live opposite a park with is ideal for walks during the day. We always walk Murphy twice a day and can take your dog along too! I work from home and can take breaks throughout the day to let your pooch out for bathroom breaks. On nice days, we usually just leave the back door open anyway for our dog, so they will be free to roam. Murphy is a great mix of playful and restful during the day, so your dog will have a great time with him! We have a fully fenced back garden and the dog would have free roam of the house during the day. Overnight, they would sleep downstairs (either on the sofa in the living room with Murphy, in the kitchen or in a crate, your preference.)

“I was quite nervous about leaving Elga for the first time, especially as she’s blind and needs a little extra care and attention. However, from the moment I met Jayne I felt reassured that she was going to be in safe hands. During my time away, I was kept regularly updated on how Elga was getting on, which really helped me relax and enjoy my holiday. The updates and photos showed just how comfortable and happy she was, it was clear she was being well looked after and loved. I’m so grateful for the care and patience Jayne and her family showed.
