About: I’ve grown up around all kinds of animals all my life. I’ve had multiple dogs of all breeds and sizes throughout my life. I’ve looked after both cats and dogs multiple times and overall love spending time with 4 legged friends! I’m currently on a career break, while I await to start a new role in September. I am able to dog sit at almost all days of the week and will give my undivided attention to your pet. I am very active and take my pooch for 2 long walks everyday through the countryside. I have a very large fenced garden, and 10 acres of fenced land for your dog to roam free and enjoy. I have my own very friendly 5year old Labradoodle who can keep your dog company. I am able to crate sleep if needed.

About: I’m experienced in caring for dogs and other small animals, and I hold a Diploma in Animal Care and Land‑Based Studies. I genuinely enjoy looking after both dogs and cats, and I have my own animals at home, so I understand how important it is to give pets the same level of care, patience and attention they’re used to. I’m reliable, calm and confident with different breeds and personalities, and I take pride in creating a safe, happy environment for every animal I look after. I fit pet care naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I already care for my own animals every day, so feeding, walking, playtime and general supervision are part of my normal schedule. I enjoy planning my week around giving pets consistent attention, keeping them happy, comfortable and well‑looked‑after. I provide a safe, calm, and welcoming home where pets are cared for with patience, routine, and genuine affection. I make sure their environment is clean, comfortable, and hazard‑free, and I always prioritise their wellbeing. Pets in my home are treated with kindness, consistency, and respect, so they feel secure, relaxed, and truly looked after.

About: I’m the girl that waves to dogs I pass in the street, I’m dog mad. I’ve recently returned to the area after living abroad for 6+ years. Personal circumstances mean that I’m not able to have a dog of my own right now, but in the meantime I have so much love to give! I’ve been working part time as a dog-walker and dog-sitter for the past three years on and off and I absolutely love it. I’ll strive to make your dog feel safe, happy and adored. Mark Twain once said “The more I learn about people, the more I love my dog” — let me love your dog!! I currently work from home but I have a very flexible routine. I’m available most days, I just ask that you give me a few days notice if you need my help over the weekends or holidays! I will gladly make house calls. I have clients who trust me with regular access and keys to their properties and I will respect your privacy in your home. I also have the possibility to look after your pet here in my own home. I live with my dad at the moment in a terraced house in Clifton. We don’t have much of a garden but there are plenty of good walks to be had!

About: I’m 20 years old and have done dog walking for 2 years ( paid work) cared for dogs for a week whilst their owners were away, and grown up around dogs. Thanks to this, I have much experience walking, playing and looking after dogs. At the moment I am on my summer holiday as I am a University Student. I also have no job, so this is great as it allows me to have a completely free schedule to take care of pets, so I can always be in and give them my full attention. I live in a good sized home, so this allows for lots of space for pets! I also have a large garden, meaning dogs would be able to play out there multiple times a day (whilst on a lead if this is necessary for your dog). I offer bathing and grooming for your dogs and am very happy to do this! Your pet would be cared for and loved very much and taken on how ever many walks they need per day. I live near multiple woodland areas which make for amazing, stimulating walks for dogs.

About: I have taken great care of dogs ever since I was very young surrounded by a dog loving family. I have owned dogs of varying size and temperaments of which I have trained since they were puppies and walked, fed and bathed them every day since. I work part time so my availability is pretty much open. I am available for boarding over the weekends and for walks any afternoons/evenings :) I will ensure all gates are secure and collar/leads are securely fastened. The doggies will be watched over 24/7 and will be in safe hands

Sharon took fantastic care of our spotty friend when our regular dog sitter was away. She made sure we felt really comfortable with leaving Bailey, and was so attentive listening and honouring his usual routine. Bailey got on really well with her two friendly dogs and we couldn't have asked for more from her! If you want a lovely, caring person to look after your dog properly, then look no further than Sharon, she's the best!

Storm had such a lovely time with Cody and Esmée! Cody agreed to a meet and greet the day before and instantly knew she would be great with my precious baby. I was kept updated throughout the day which is always nice to see that he has settled and been out for adventures. After I picked him up he slept like a baby so definitely had a good time. I'd 100% recommend Cody and Esmée to anybody local looking for a dog sitter. Storm is looking forward to his next visit whenever that may be 🩵

About: As lifelong dog owners, caring for dogs has always been a natural and rewarding part of our lives. We have experience providing a loving, safe, and attentive environment, understanding the importance of routine, exercise, and companionship for each individual dog. We are at home full-time, so there will always be someone present to give your dog the care and attention they deserve. Our two boys also adore dogs and are gentle, caring, and used to being around them. After recently losing our own beloved pet, we would love to open our home to care for other dogs while their owners are away, offering them the same affection, comfort, and reliability that we always gave our own. My husband Ryan will be providing care to your dogs also. I’m currently working part time but have lots of time to play and walk with your dogs there’s always someone available the house is not left unattended for long. My husband Ryan will also be caring for your dogs so they will have plenty of love. We have a fenced garden with a lock on the gate so your dog would feel secure and safe, they could use our home as if it was their own home and would be allowed on furniture and treat it as their own. We can also crate them if you would prefer

About: Hi, we’re Annabelle & Chris! and we have had dogs around us ever since we were both little or born so we have always been around dogs, we absolutely LOVE them. We would even say they are better than people!! We’re used to all different breeds and sizes of dogs and no dog is ever too much to handle. We like to think we get a good sense of what a dog is like just from spending a short amount of time with them. We have also owned cats previously so we are super happy to offer a comforting friendly face for your furry friend. Rest assured, your dog is with genuine dog lovers. We can't wait to meet them! Me and Chris have decided to do this together, meaning we can offer extra support for your furry friends! Annabelle - I currently work full time from home so can offer your furry friend company all day long. I have 2 dogs of my own so I am used to the routine of getting up at 5:30am to give them a good walk, breakfast and playtime before starting work (from home) I then finish work and take them for another long walk in the evening followed by dinner and playtime in the garden or living room ( weather dependant) so they’re tired out before bedtime. Chris - has his own business so is also very flexible on when and where he can work. So there will always be someone available for your furry friend! If you’re like us, do you hate the thought of your pet being left alone for hours on end while you go out to work? Do you pay ridiculous costs just for someone to drop in and walk your dog for a short while? We are here to help! We are offering daycare, boarding, pet walking, all you’re pets needs! Our biggest objective is that your pet feels safe and always has company. I have a fully fenced and gated garden at our home address, so there will be no escapees. However before taking on any boarders we would be looking to offer dog walking, day care services, to get to know each pup personally and to make sure you and your beloved pup are comfortable and all needs are catered for. We personally like to know our dogs feel at ease when staying with someone and that we’re not leaving them with a stranger, this is the relationship we’d love to build with you and your furry friend!

About: I’ve always been a huge dog lover. Dogs are all I’ve ever known as they’ve always been in the family. Back home, we have 5 gorgeous dogs. 4 Newfoundlands and a Cocker Jack. So size isn’t a problem for me. I live on a farm so I am used to getting mucky and taking the dogs for long country walks. Dogs are family. So I promise your dog will be looked after like one of my own. I have recently finished my masters in musical theatre so my availability is very flexible. I am available week days and on some weekends. Thanks I will always make sure your dog is kept safe. Making sure the door or gate is shut/locked especially being close to a road. I will keep the dog entertained and loved at all times. We love a doggy cuddle.

Left my 5 month old puppy, Cooper with Iwona. He had a great time and was very well looked after. The photos and videos I received throughout the day were great to see. He was having lots of fun with the others dogs and using lots of energy. Great to find someone who loves dogs and and is trustworthy. He came home happy and tired after his busy, fun day. Would definitely recommend Iwona and will use her services again.

About: I have had cats and labradors since the day I was born. Walking, feeding and taking care of dogs has always been a part of my life. I have my own labrador, she is 4 now and I absolutely adore taking care of dogs and aminals. I am home weekdays and weekends. I currently walk 3 times a day with my own dog so your dog will get plenty of walks, love and attention. I am never out for more than 3 hours, so your dog will never be left for long periods of time. My garden is fenced and secure. My pets are my family and I would treat yours the same. Your dog will receive love and fun in my home and plenty of exercise.

I was anxious about leaving our dog Birdie, black lab with someone she didn’t know . Bethany was so lovely , took Birdie at late notice so we could attend a family event that’s a long way from where we live . I don’t know the area ,so Rover was perfect . It gave me the confidence to look for some help . Bethany is very calm and welcoming . Birdie had a good time and was content and happy when we collected her . She settled quickly back home and slept well that evening . Would definitely recommend Bethany and hope to use her again if we are back in this area .

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Kirklees

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Kirklees on Rover is £23 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,528 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Kirklees. About 85% of Kirklees sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Kirklees commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
