“Ivan was incredible from our very first meet and greet, he observed our pup while he walked with us to better understand his needs and walked him to get a feeling for how he behaves, he was available at shirt notice to have our dog for the full day. Made sure to send regular updates and photos of his stay and even introduced him to some new doggy friends in a controlled situation to help with his hypersociality, the app only allows for a fiver star review but I wish it could be higher, cannot thank you enough and we will see you again soon!”

About: Experienced, Loving Family Dog Sitters 🐾 Hello! We're a dog-loving family with a lifetime of experience caring for dogs. Between us, my partner and I have owned and looked after dogs for most of our lives, and caring for them is something we genuinely love. After regularly dog sitting for friends and family, we've decided to open our home to more dogs and their owners. We have two young children, aged 4 and 5, who absolutely adore dogs and have grown up around them. Because of this, the safety and comfort of both our children and any visiting dogs is extremely important to us. We only accept dogs that are comfortable, gentle, and trustworthy around young children, ensuring a safe and happy environment for everyone. One of the biggest benefits we can offer is that both of us work from home full-time. This means your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply having people around, we'll tailor our care to suit their individual personality and needs. We have a small front garden available for quick toilet breaks, and we're also just minutes away from large open fields, parks, and beautiful nature walks. Regular walks and exercise will be provided according to your dog's age, energy levels, and routine. We understand that leaving your dog with someone else can feel daunting, so we'll treat them as if they were our own—providing a safe, loving, and caring home while you're away. We look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! 🐶 Lots of love, attention, walks, and cuddles guaranteed. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine. Both my partner and I work from home full-time, so we're able to provide constant supervision, regular toilet breaks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. We regularly care for dogs belonging to friends and family, and we enjoy incorporating walks into our daily schedule. We live just minutes from large fields and nature walks, allowing us to provide exercise tailored to each dog's needs. As a family of dog lovers, spending time with and caring for dogs is something we genuinely enjoy, so any dogs staying with us become part of our everyday family life while they're in our care. We care for every dog as if they were our own and always aim to keep them as comfortable and settled as possible by following their usual routine. Before any stay, we'll discuss your dog's feeding schedule, exercise requirements, sleeping arrangements, medications, and any special needs to ensure continuity of care. In our home, dogs will have plenty of companionship throughout the day as both of us work from home full-time. They'll receive regular toilet breaks, walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, playtime, affection, and a safe, family environment. We have a small yard for quick toilet breaks and are just minutes away from large fields and nature walks for longer exercise sessions. We only accept dogs that are comfortable around young children, as we have two children aged 4 and 5 who have grown up around dogs and love interacting with them. If caring for a pet in the owner's home, we would follow all instructions provided, maintaining the dog's normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, administering medication if required, and ensuring they receive plenty of attention and care while their owners are away. Throughout any booking, we are happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind, so owners can see that their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I've always had dogs in my life. I lost two elderly dogs last year and so badly miss having dogs . I dog sit for our friends dogs whenever possible, but would like to open our home to more. More cuddles, more walks, more mess and more craziness. If you have a dog who needs close attention and wants to feel secure, I can give that care. If your dog needs long walks, I would love that. Our two dogs became infirm when they were old. If you dog needs extra care as an elderly dog, I have the experience. I hold independent comprehensive dog-care insurance. I work part time from home. No routine as such, so I can fit around what your dog needs. Some days are quiet and other days include a long walk and play. We have a large, fenced, dog friendly garden which is completely secure. Your dog will have plenty of room, inside and out. Plus my bed to sleep on, if that is what they like.
“My greyhound absolutely loved his daycare experience. He was a very happy boy when I picked him up. Excellent communications with Bryony throughout and I felt really comfortable leaving him in her care. Resident hound Rex is gorgeous and really helped my recently adopted rescue boy's confidence. Highly recommended.”

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family has a lovable 11-year-old Labrador whom I helped train from puppyhood — from basic commands to good leash manners. We also shared 18 wonderful years with a gentle British Shorthair cat, so I understand the unique needs of both dogs and cats at every life stage. Whether it’s energetic playtime, patient training, or quiet cuddles, I treat every pet like my own. Your furry family member will get the same love, attention, and care I’ve given my own for decades. Because I work from home, your pet gets my full attention all day. I can easily fit in frequent potty breaks, play sessions, and walks, and I’m always around for company and cuddles. My flexible schedule means I can stick closely to your pet’s routine — whether that’s early morning walks, midday training, or late-night check-ins. Having pets around while I work makes my day better, and I love giving them the same care, patience, and companionship I’ve given my own over the years Whether your pet is staying at my place or I’m visiting yours, they’ll get the same love, attention, and comfort they’re used to. In my home, I make sure there’s plenty of space to play, cozy spots for naps, and a safe, calm environment. I stick to your pet’s routine for feeding, walks, and playtime so they feel secure and happy. When I care for pets in their own home, I keep things consistent — from their favorite walk routes to the way they like their food prepared. My goal is to make every visit or stay feel like home, so your furry friend stays relaxed, loved, and well-cared for.

About: We currently have our own cuddly 8 year old beagle and a beautiful 6 month old black Labrador that have the full run of the house and large fenced garden. They enjoy long walks as I am at home all day and love walking in all weather. We have experience with all types of dogs including high energy dogs as we had 3 springer spaniels but sadly they are no longer with us. I have just retired from being a foster carer for children after 10 happy years . I am new to pet sitting except looking after friends and family’s dogs regularly , but have never had more than 3 months without dogs in our home in the last 20 years and they are my life. I am at home to keep treasured pet company all day and also live next to a large field with long grass ,trees and park with walks suited to your dogs liking. Our garden is large over several levels and fully fenced in and dog friendly. I have also just

“Could not recommend Katie enough. Frankie had a fantastic time with Harley and Bruce. He was so excited to visit and seemed genuinely happy and content. I felt very safe and secure knowing Frankie was incredibly well looked after with Kaite. Will most definitely book again. Thank you Katie 😊”

“Jennifer was amazing! She took my dog out for a swim, which he absolutely loved, and spent lots of time playing with him. I really appreciated all the pictures and video she sent, they were wonderful to receive and showed how much fun he was having. I couldn't be happier with the care she provided especially since it was so last minute!”

“brilliant personalised care for my beautiful boy. 100% understanding of him and his needs. Lots of lovely pics of him having the time of his life. Very compassionate and caring people who clearly love their charges as much as we owners do. He can't wait to go back!”

About: Dogs have been a big part of my life for many years, and I have had four dogs of my own as an adult. This has given me lots of practical, hands-on experience and made me very comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, routines and needs. I have also looked after friends’ and family members’ dogs in my home, so I understand how important it is to create a calm, safe and caring environment where dogs can feel settled and relaxed. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I would always treat your dog with the same kindness, patience and attention I would want for my own. I am reliable, attentive and genuinely enjoy being around dogs, and I would always aim to make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable and well cared for. I have a flexible routine, so I can make sure pets get the time, care and attention they need. I am happy to work around walks, feeding times and your pet’s usual habits to help them feel comfortable and settled. I have a fenced garden and a friendly pug-cross to keep your pets company. There are also three teenagers at home so the will never be lonely and have lots of attention.
“Amy absolutely saved the day! She was really welcoming and friendly on arrival, took both our pooches in as soon as we arrived, she was very confident and comfortable with them, took them for a good walk and sent photos, which was very reassuring, both dogs were relaxed when we collected them, can’t praise Amy enough, so glad we chose her, thank you again Amy ☺️”

About: i have always been a really caring person. we got our first family dog at the age of 10 and from then always took great care of him, always the one to do all aspects of his care (the good and the bad) i went to uni and completed my nursing degree in jan 2025, unfortunately i had a sporting accident and broke my back and subsequently lost my job. as soon as i became an adult, i rescued my little tri girl (pippa) and the poor soul has come such a long way since living with me and after lots of exposure and training. 2 years ago, i got my first puppy as an adult, my blenheim girl (nellie) she has become the sweetest little soul and we’ve taken part in lots of socialisation, agility, and she is now starting her therapy dog training due to my recent accident, i’m unable to work my nursing job. i’m currently still in the rehab phase after relearning to walk. i’m at home much of the time with my 2 girls so it would be perfect company for dogs that are otherwise left alone they would have some play mates and cuddle buddies! i would incorporate their regular routine in so things stay familiar for the dog aswell. i have a large grassy garden, that’s fenced. a sand pit for the dogs, lots of water toys and outdoor toys plus an outdoor sofa. the dogs will be allowed in all areas of my house (if you allow) my dogs sleep in my bed and sit on the sofa with me during the day. i have a door before the front door for safety at the front door.
“Charlie has been taking care of my springer spaniel Flora for six months now. Flora loves Charlie and Red I couldn’t ask for better care and know she’s loved and is in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Charlie she’s been so supportive and is wonderful with Flora”

Tilly had the best day with Emily & Sunny! She has such a great outdoor space for the pups to play in. Sunny was really welcoming to Tilly (who can be a little bossy!) and they seemed happy playing together when I left. I will definitely be booking with Emily again as she took such good care of Tilly. Thank you!

Mazie had a lovely day with Olivia. We had a meet and greet beforehand so Mazie would know her when we arrived for the day and she took to Olivia and her dad immediately. I received a couple updates through the day and felt very comfortable leaving my fur-baby with her.

Every time Rory visits Alex & Luke he comes home happy and very tired! He has started to get excited now when we pull onto their street! I am always comfortable leaving Rory in their care even with his nervous temperament. He can’t wait to have his sleepover in December! Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
