Kenzo thoroughly enjoyed his stay and Ben sent regular updates & photos. Kenzo was given plenty of attention and care, and our priority was that his routine was not disrupted which Ben ensured to be mindful of. We will definitely be using Ben for future services. Thank you so much for treating Kenzo like your own!”

“This was the first time we used Jessica, and we were not disappointed. From the messages before the visit to the care and photo updates while we were away, everything was excellent. Boris, being a bulldog, has specific food requirements and a set routine, which Jessica and her family adapted to perfectly. We felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. About: I’ve grown up with Border Terriers and currently have one of my own, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. From an early age, I’ve regularly looked after the dogs of family, friends and neighbours, giving me plenty of experience with different personalities, needs and behaviours. I’m confident in recognising when a dog needs space, reassurance or extra attention, and I always take the time to build trust and make them feel comfortable. I genuinely love animals, especially dogs, and take pride in providing calm, caring and reliable pet care. My priority is to make sure every dog I look after feels safe, happy and well cared for. Pet care is naturally part of my daily routine. I structure my day around walks, feeding times, play, and check-ins, making sure each pet gets consistent attention and care from morning to evening. When caring for pets in their own home, I treat the space and pets with respect. I follow the owner’s routines for feeding, walks, play, and any special instructions, while providing companionship, exercise, and attention. I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment, keeping their home clean and secure, and providing regular updates to owners so they have peace of mind.

“Peter and his family have been brilliant. They check in on our cat peaches for a few days whilst we were away and he kept us updated on how she was doing and send some amazing photos and videos of her. He gave us great peace of mind that she was in good hands and doing ok. I couldn’t have asked him for anymore we will definitely be using Peter again.”

I will definitely have Coco looked after by Vivianne again in the future when in the Harrogate area!”

“Our 3.5 month pup had a lovely day with Jessica and her husband. We plan for him to stay while we go on holiday and wanted to give him chance to get to know them first. We were anxious as we had not left him with anyone else, but we didn’t need to worry as he settled straight away- and had lots of fun. Jessica is quick to respond to messages and sent photos of his day. Thank you”

“Constancia accommodated our last minute booking to look after Nellie. She was very welcoming when we arrived ensuring we saw the garden. “Jessica and James have been looking after Milo a couple of times a week for the past few months, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. I’ve already rebooked because I know he’s in the best hands. They genuinely treat Milo as if he’s one of their own, and it’s clear how much they care about him. He absolutely adores their dog, Cookie, and the two of them have the best time together. Every time I pick him up, he comes home happy, content and pleasantly tired after a day full of fun. As a teacher, it’s such a relief to know that Milo is safe, loved and well cared for while I’m at work. Jessica and James regularly send photos and videos throughout the day, which is so reassuring, and they’re always flexible and accommodating with timings. The biggest compliment I can give is how excited Milo gets when he sees them—his tail starts wagging before we’ve even reached the door! That says everything. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for caring, reliable dog sitters.”

About: My husband and I have looked after dogs for a number of years. These have varied, from puppies to adults, small to large, as well as high energy, confident to more nervous rescue dogs. What their stay looks like, is shaped around the needs of the dogs, their current routines, enrichment activities, exciting walks and any specific requests from their owners. We are passionate about creating an environment where a dog can thrive and develop in a home away from home. We have our own gorgeous pooch called Bonnie. She is very relaxed around other dogs, as she has socialised with dogs both inside and outside the home since we adopted her in 2024. She's very independent and calm in the house, but loves to explore with her fellow dogs when out and about on a walk. We also volunteer at a dog shelter, where we walk, train and lead enrichment activities with Romanian Rescue dogs. Through this experience working with a brilliant dog trainer and head of the charity, we understand that every dog is totally different, therefore, their care plan and routine need to reflect as much and be tailored to their personalities. As a result, we are confident with rescue dogs or those who are anxious and less confident. We typically take the dogs out for a morning walk, which will be roughly an hour. I work full time from home, which allows me to be home all day with the dogs. We will then have a shorter second walk, with playtime and enrichment thrown in! We have a fenced garden, as well as a field two minutes from our house, where dogs have plenty of space to run and play as they wish!
About: I grew up with a Sheltie and a mixed-breed dog, and through years of living closely with them, I developed a deep understanding of animals' emotional and physical needs. This lifelong bond has shaped the way I care for every pet, treating them with the same love and attention I would give my own. In addition to my own dogs, I've cared for many breeds including Dobermans, Corgis, Poodles, Huskies, and Border Collies, as well as cats. I always aim to create a safe, happy, and loving environment for each pet while their owners are away. Your pets are in experienced, caring hands! I work from home and am available to provide dedicated pet care. Your pets will receive my full attention, with flexible scheduling for walks, visits, and cuddles! There would be no other pets in the my accommodation, ensuring a peaceful environment and avoiding any potential pet conflicts. When staying with pets, I make sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and safe - I aim to provide same love and care to your pets as you provided for them. I will stick to their usual routines, from feeding times to favourite toys and sleeping spots. I will also ensure they get plenty of attention, exercise if needed, and, of course, affection, just as if they were my own.
About: I grew up with dogs and absolutely love having them around. I work from home, so I have plenty of time for lunchtime walks, playtime, and giving your dog lots of attention. I’m also very happy to have a snuggle on the sofa in the evenings. I work from home three days a week, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give dogs real attention throughout the day. I also have the option to bring a dog into the office, so they’re never left alone for long periods. I love being active and would always make sure they get a morning and lunchtime walk so lots of company. I have a fenced garden in a three bed new build property and I live close to fields and nice walks, which I love to go on.
“Christian was very accommodating and my dog went away happily to spend the day without a glance back. Grateful for the support while I went to work knowing he was being cared for”

“Hollie has been amazing with our dog Evie. She arrived on time each day and Evie was always very happy after her walks. Hollie is lovely and her doggy got on really well with our Evie. We will definitely use Hollie again in the future!”

“Lucy was excellent. We were up in Pateley Bridge for a wedding and nervous leaving Jeff alone. She filled us with confidence that he was in safe hands. She kept us updated with photos and texts on how he was. Thank you Lucy ☺️”

About: I have grown up around dogs since the age of 10. With 2 family cocker spaniels I am used to the craziness that having a dog brings to a household. I no longer live with my family dogs and miss being around them. I have experience with elderly dogs, one of my family dogs died this year at the age of 14 and she needed full time cars for months. We had a litter of puppies when I was younger, so I am experienced with younger dogs as well. I graduated from university 2 years ago and now work from home almost full time (I tend to go into the office once a week, but this is flexible). I would care for your dogs in the same manner you would. Whatever they need I am able to provide. I understand all dogs are different. I love long walks and they can accompany me daily.

“Laura was amazing with Bella and with us, very accommodating and gave us updates and pictures every day. She came to meet bella prior to us going away to make us feel better and Bella seemed to love her. Made us feel a lot more relaxed about going away without her and we will be coming to Laura in the future when we next need a dog walker. Would definitely recommend to a friend:)”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 9 so have lots of experience from puppies to senior dogs, of all sizes. I have lots of time and energy to dedicate to your dog! I am currently home from uni for the summer so I’m very flexible! About: I adore dogs! I have helped run a dog kennels for over 3 years before I went travelling. I have also worked at a dog and cat animal charity for 1.5 years in Edinburgh, where I'm from. When I was travelling in Australia I also done dog walking as I needed my doggy fix down under as well. I had a family dog who was my absolute soul dog and best friend. I would care for your dog like it was my own furry pal. I currently work in the nhs supporting children with mental health issues. This is a challenging but very rewarding career. I do miss having furry, four legged friends in my life though. My schedule changes each week and I can be working different days each week but my work can be flexible if I'm given enough notice as to what days you need pet cover. We have a fenced garden at the back of the property. We now have our own golden retriever pup called ozzy who is the centre of our universe. Due to this I have put a hold on dog boarding in my house but still more than happy to drop by to owners houses to keep your pooch company as well as offer dog walking services.
About: I have been around working dogs since I was a child. When I was younger I had the ambition of being a veterinary surgeon and so had to gain animal experience to apply for the course. This included farm work, doing multiple weeks at 2 vet's practices and over a year and a half dog walking for the RSPCA. Since moving to Harrogate many years ago, I have walked and looked after 30 + dogs in the area; including house-sitting and drop-in visits. My job requires me to have a current DBS check in place. I am confident with big dogs as well as small ones and would happily meet beforehand to hopefully put your mind at ease. I am free on weekends all day, although do visit family etc on these days but not on a regular basis. I mostly work from home (usual office hours). I can walk the dog before and after work, combined with play and scent work during the day. Usually, if I were lucky enough to look after your dog, this would involve lots of outdoor exercise (providing the dog is able to). I live very close to the Stray in Harrogate, so if needed it would not be far to quickly bring him or her home briefly for a drink or rest. However, I do drive so would be comfortable walking / looking after wherever your home is. Rover now encourages you now to message more than one person, this is a new feature and it isn't necessary, as I do reply quickly. I take great pride in my reviews and the service I offer. I have so much dog-handling experience and lots of common sense!
“Jamie walks our dogs regularly, and they always come back happy, relaxed and tired afterwards. They also go bonkers when they hear him arrive to pick them up - he is very well-loved by them, a clear sign of the care and attention he gives them.”

About: Hi, I’m Emily, and dogs are a huge part of my life. I’m the proud owner of Lando, our energetic cocker spaniel, who has taught me so much about training, enrichment, routine, and understanding canine behaviour. Like many spaniels, he keeps me on my toes, so I know just how important patience, consistency and plenty of exercise are! Growing up around dogs of all breeds and personalities has also given me a real appreciation that every dog is unique and deserves care that’s tailored to them. Whether your dog is staying with us, joining us for a walk, or simply needs a friendly visit while you’re away, my priority is making them feel safe, happy and loved. I care for every dog as if they were my own, taking the time to understand their routine, personality and individual needs. I offer: • Safe, home-from-home boarding • Fun, enriching dog walks • Day care with plenty of companionship and play • Pop-in visits for feeding, toilet breaks and cuddles Finding someone you trust with your dog is a big decision, and I know exactly how that feels as a dog owner myself. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your dog and provide the same level of care, attention and affection that Lando enjoys every day. If you have any questions, just send me a message—I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! As a full-time remote worker, I have the flexibility to be present for your pet throughout the day. Working from home allows me to provide regular companionship, quick toilet breaks, and plenty of attention while ensuring that pets in my care feel comfortable and attended to. My schedule allows me to easily incorporate walks, playtime, and check-ins, so your pet will never feel alone or bored. Whether it’s day care, boarding, or scheduled walks, I’m able to provide a stable, caring environment that fits seamlessly into my work-from-home routine. In my home, I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all pets. For boarding and day care, pets can have designated spaces to relax, play, and feel at ease. I make sure to keep a balanced routine of playtime, training, and rest, similar to the structure I use with my own dog, Lando. With flexible breaks throughout the day, I’m able to provide walks, potty breaks, and plenty of attention, making sure pets stay happy and engaged.
About: Hi, I’m Eleanor (but you can call me Ellie). Throughout my childhood into my adult years, my family has looked after dogs for neighbours, friends, collegues and more. It was a wonderful experience. Going into my teenage years the tasks of walking, feeding, bathing and playing were put onto me and my brothers. I have looked after a range of dogs in size and age, from puppies to seniors and from a Daschund to a Great Dane/Labrador mix. I also have experience giving medicine to those who need it. I adore being around animals, and would love to make sure that your dog has a fantastic, fun time filled with playing and cuddles. I love walking, and would enjoy long walks in interesting and enriching places. I’m currently a university student and I go back to uni on the 22nd of September. On Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday I have classes but I have time in the afternoon. I will only be able to care for your pet at your own home as I am living in student housing where no animals are allowed. I am able to crate your dog if necessary or if you would prefer me to do so. I am very focused on ensuring the safety of your pet, and I will have my attention on them at all times.

About: I’m experience with housesitting for short and extended periods, ensuring the pets are well walked, fed and of course get plenty of attention. I also always maintain clear communication with the pet owner before and throughout the visit so you can enjoy your outing reassured your furry friend is in good hands. I have grown up around dogs and currently have 2 family dogs who I love to pieces and I am often trusted with their care. Despite having less experience with cats, I adore them and I’m familiar with their needs to provide good quality care :) I’m currently a student so I have some free time on my hands outside of classes. This means I’ll be available to keep your pets company on weekends, Wednesdays and Friday evenings. I ensure any opening is closed/ locked up before letting my dogs roam or leaving the house. My mum is big on keeping things clean so I also make sure dirty paws stay away from carpets if possible. Along with that comes lots of snuggles and play time!

“Had Rusty for 2 weeks whilst we were away, second year we have used Vivianne and she was excellent. Kept us updated and looked after him well, he was very happy staying with Vivianne. Would definitely use Vivianne again!”

“I can honestly say Louise is the loveliest person. She looked after my little pug Winnie with so much love and care. I felt so reassured that she was being looked after properly. I got regular photos and updates of Winnie which was lovely. I can’t thank her enough. I hope Winnie can stay with her again.”

“This is the second time we left Winnie with Sarah and her family. We had regular updates and photos and it was lovely to see Winnie having such a nice time. Winnie was really happy when we picked her up and was back to her normal routine instantly, indicative that she had a wonderful time whilst we were away. Sarah, is always really flexible, really friendly and caring. I couldn’t recommend her enough. We have booked her again for another trip in April and we feel lucky we have found her and she is able to look after Winnie.”

“Amazing family! They looked after our dog so well and loved him as if he were their own. A home from home that we were so grateful for while we were away. Thank you so much Karina and all your lovely family. X”

We will definitely be using Jessica again in the future. Boris does not like the car and we always have trouble on collection but Jessica’s husband helped get Boris in the car with care, he is now snuggled up having had his favourite dinner , doing his favourite hobby of snoozing 💤”

“Constancia and her son were absolutely amazing looking after Harry! Lots of cute vids & pics. He was so happy and relaxed when we picked him up , it was clear he was very well cared for and made to feel at home. Thank you both so much , we’ll definitely be back! 🐾✨”

“Thomas and Jess are great. Kept in touch as required, meaning we didn’t have to worry at all, and Misty came back to us extremely happy; she’d clearly had a lovely time. Highly recommend and she will certainly be returning. Thanks so much!”

About: Throughout my whole life, i have grown up with all sorts of animals from dogs and cats to alpacas! I have 3 dogs in my family home who i help look after alongside my mum and have quite a flexible job which would allow me to look after other peoples dogs too. I have dealt with all types of personalities from agressive/nervous/reactive dogs to crazy/frantic/excited ones! And i love them all. Willing to take on anything and give them the best walks/visits with lots of attention. I'm currently working Monday to Friday in Summerbridge where the hours are flexible therefore able to walk/visit dogs during my lunch break (1hour), before work and after. If needed i can leave at anytime. I have lots and lots of private land! Unlimited running around in a fenced area - perfect for dogs who can't be let off the lead regularly. Also have a kennel area but most dogs would be in the house with my other 3.
“If you’re looking for a dog sitter look no further!!! Dawn went above and beyond making sure our Bear was well looked after when we went away!! It was super hot and she made sure Bear was kept cool! She made him a home from home and kept us updated through with pictures! She has been great at communicating from our initial enquiry to picking bear up! Seriously could not fault, we will absolutely use Dawn again!”

“It was a pleasure to meet Beverley and what a lovely home for our dog to stay in. She looked after him very well and we appreciated being kept in touch with regular updates on him. Would definitely use Beverley's services again and am very happy to give Five Stars.”

“Highly highly recommend leaving your pets with Kira! Our 7-month puppy had the best time at hers, was well looked after in a heatwave, was safe uand happy. She has a wonderful dog proof home and a supportive partner - it was a perfect environment and company for our puppy. We received frequent updates and photos. Their communication was great and flexible.”

“We had a great experience with Hannah. She does her own due diligence on vaccinations, routine and needs, which was very reassuring and Hannah was really responsive when we were away and wanted to check in on our pup. Would definitely book again.”

“Alison was very caring and attentive to Rosies likes and dislikes. I was sent regular pictures during Rosies stay and Rosie although happy to see me on return, seemed very settled and content. Apologies to Alison though that Rosie found her laundry basket and pinched her socks!!. Would recommend 👌”
