Charlotte was wonderful! She stayed at my home for 2 nights whilst I was away on a work trip. She was really receptive to Pikachu's care instructions a day really respectful of my space (you could barely tell anyone had been staying here in my absence!). I got regular updates and it was clear that pikachu was happy and comfortable. She took really good care of him and im really pleased with every aspect of the sitting. Thank you Charlotte! (And for being generous with your time with my late return!) Pikachu and I really enjoyed meeting you.

Saffron has been an absolute life saver… she cared for my 4 pups whilst I got married… she was so knowledgeable about my dogs and their specific issues… as I own 2 rescued dogs, one imported/nervous and one disabled pup who has three legs… she catered to every problem with such care and detail… I have never in my 6 years of owning a dog had to use a sitter as they normally stay with family but I’m extremely grateful saffron was the one to care for my pups… she looked after them as if they were her own and kept me updated throughout the day on how they were… I couldn’t of wished for anyone better to look after them, I will definitely be needing saffrons help again in the future and recommend her to friends and family… thank you so much saffron!! 🥰xxx

My Labrador Koda had a great time with Isabella. He went on some lovely adventures and she kept us up to date with lots of photos. When we came home he was still tired from all of their fun and the house was well looked after. All instructions were followed and she even stayed a little later than we’d planned because I’d got times mixed up! Would highly recommend Isabella and will be seeing if she’s free to look after Koda in the future. Thanks very much! Xx

About: Ever since I was very young I’ve taken care of dogs. We often dogsat for my auntie and uncle - one very young spaniel for years, and then eventually 2 spaniels. I’ve walked my brother’s greyhound often, and my girlfriend also has a dog, so I’m very comfortable and experienced around dogs. I currently work full time, but I am available early morning, evenings and weekends from 3pm on a Friday. I’m also very flexible for overnight care. I’ve been around various family dogs since a young age. I’m a very active person and have always enjoyed a long, short or any type of walk.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house and dog sitter than Andrea. She stayed in our home with Milo for two weeks and was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Andrea connected with Milo instantly, and it was clear the feeling was mutual. He felt safe, cared for, and truly happy in her company. She made sure he was well fed, exercised, and loved — and she even continued training him to use his little box for necessities, which he is now doing amazingly well with. She took him out for his first walks and showed incredible patience and professionalism every step of the way. Her communication was exceptional. She kept us updated regularly with photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. When Milo needed to see the vet, Andrea handled everything promptly and responsibly, keeping us informed throughout. On top of all that, she looked after our home as if it were her own. We returned to a spotless, well-cared-for house and a very happy dog. We loved having Andrea so much that we’ve already booked her for two more stays in April. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, professional, and genuinely wonderful with pets. She is truly superb!

About: Hi, I'm India. I own two ragdoll cats (indoor) but grew up with dogs, and have had guinea pigs, rats, and lizards in between, and I've even befriended my local murder of crows. I love all animals and pride myself on my ability to build trust with them at their own pace. I work part time so have plenty of time to dedicate to cat and dog sitting. I've got experience with all kinds of pets, from cuddly cats to aloof and nervous dogs. I'm fine with administering oral and injected medicines, picking up animals, and generally following instructions to keep your babies happy and safe. If you hire me, you can expect plenty of pictures and updates so you know your pets are in good hands. I'm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to look after and play with your pets. I'm available most mornings, evenings, and weekends, and some afternoons. I have experience with and am confident in looking after and walking large dogs, boisterous dogs and nervous dogs. I will always meet before any job to run through instructions on how your dog prefers to be looked after and any house specific info I need to know.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review for Caitlin – The Best Dog Sitter Ever! Don’t want to shoot myself in the foot by leaving this review as I want to gate keep this wonderful person to myself …but simply cannot as wouldn’t be fair .😂 Caitlin is an absolute gem of a dog sitter! Her attention to detail is truly unmatched—she notices everything, anticipates needs before they arise, and makes sure your fur babies are cared for exactly how you’d want. She’s wonderfully punctual, reliable, and so easy to trust from the very first moment. On top of that, Caitlin is a gorgeous person inside and out—warm, kind, and someone your dog will adore instantly. And the updates… wow! Photos, messages, little stories—updates galore that keep you smiling and totally at ease while you’re away. If you want someone who treats your dog like family, Caitlin is the one. Highly, highly recommended! 🐾💛

FAQs for House Sitting - Leeds

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Leeds on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 1,415 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Leeds. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Leeds walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leeds choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
