“We would highly recommend Charlotte if you’re looking for a sitter, she was absolutely great from organising a meet and greet and providing regular updates while we were away. Olive had a lovely time and didn’t want to leave when we came to pick her up!”

“I have had my Leo with Carmen-Daniela lots and each time, i get lots of lovely pictures and videos and updates and she and her family are so loving towards Leo. I was so much happier having Leo with lovely Carmen and her family. I will always be using them for my future trips away now i have found them”

“Love Jessica and James! We feel so lucky to have connected with them. They took amazing care of our little Stanley and he was kept busy and entertained the entire time we were away. They took him on daily walks with their dog Cookie and the two pups played together splendidly in their lovely garden. It was the perfect vacation for Stanley and we couldn’t be happier. They kept us updated with pictures of their adventures and we knew he was in good hands with them. I’m certain he’s going to be missing them for quite some time. We can’t recommend Jessica and James highly enough and can assure anyone that their pets will be well cared for and loved. Thank you, thank you!!! 😊”

“Thank you so much for looking after Frank so well. Would highly recommend you both and will definitely book you for Frank again. Loved all the updates and they made me feel so calm, he seemed so happy. Leaving him was not easy for me but knowing what he was up to made it so much better. Thank you so much for everything!!”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog, Buddy, received over the weekend, including the Bank Holiday. Melissa looked after him with genuine love, affection, and attention, making sure all of his needs were met. Buddy clearly had a wonderful time and came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. What really stood out was the extra effort Melissa made when Buddy got himself covered in mud after playing in some puddles. She kindly gave him a wash before we collected him, which was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. We would highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable, and caring pet sitter. It's clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Buddy with her again and look forward to booking with her in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

My dog is nervous, reactive and wants a lot of attention, all of which Artur managed really well. She had a lovely time and was treated like a beloved family pet. I won’t hesitate to leave her with Artur again. Thank you!”

Our dog is a bit nervous but Ericka took everything on with grace. Her love for dogs really shone through the whole time. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Charlotte and Josh looked after our Havanese, Chipper, while we were on a family holiday. We took Chipper for a short visit before we went away so that they could meet each other. Charlotte and Josh were brilliant and Chipper appeared to feel right at home. While we were away, Charlotte kept us up to date and Chipper seemed to love her walks with her and Josh. I don’t think Chipper missed us at all due to the fun and comfort she felt with Charlotte and Josh!”

“Our fur baby had never been looked after by anyone other than family before but as it was our daughters wedding and we had to find a dog boarder. We have been so lucky to find Hayley and her partner to look after Bonnie, they made us feel relaxed in leaving her and that it was home from home for her ie sleeping in the sofa and even their bed. We would definitely leave her again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them”

“Brilliant. My senior rescue was at home with Thomas almost immediately and from the photos he was absolutely chilled and enjoyed himself the whole weekend. Thomas kept me updated, went out of his way to make sure he drank during the heatwave and dropped him off to save me a pet cab. Highly recommended dog sitter and an excellent bloke all round :) See you again!!”

“Leo really enjoyed his stay with Jacqui! He had some lovely long walks at the Chevin and along the banks. Jacqui kept us updated on how Leo was doing and treated him like she would her own dog! We’ll definitely be rebooking with Jacqui in future.”

She was absolutely amazing! I booked her very last minute because something unexpected came up, and she was so understanding and happy to help. She was incredibly reassuring, kept me updated throughout, and made me feel completely at ease. I would definitely book her again and highly recommend her!

Absolutely fantastic dog boarder! From the moment we dropped our dog off, we felt completely reassured that he was in safe and caring hands. He was clearly very happy and well looked after, and we received regular updates and photos which really put our minds at ease. It’s such a relief to know your dog is being treated like one of their own while you’re away. We couldn’t have asked for better care and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a loving, reliable and trustworthy dog boarder.Thank you so much for looking after our boy — we’ll definitely be back! 🐾❤️

Deirdre was brilliant with our high energy 1 year old dog. She sent regular updates and pictures to put our mind at rest whilst on holiday. Could not recommend Deirdre enough, her dog Frankie is also very good and him and Brandy got on very well! We will definitely be using Deirdre again!

Jessica and her partner Shawn were absolutely fantastic with Zuko. We had a pleasant meet an greet where I was able to bring Zuko to their home for him to have a have a little explore and for me to discuss his 'special needs' : Zuko likes eating non-food items which has previously led to emergency surgery, so this was a real anxiety and concern for us when leaving him with a stranger. However, they were extremely receptive to this and all his other little quirks too! He is is quite a high energy dog and was well catered for with several long walks each day. It was lovely receiving daily photos and a video of him enjoying himself whilst we were away. I would highly recommend this sitter and will use again in yhe future I'm sure.

Oaklee, our very excitable 6 month old Vizsla stayed with Andi & Keith for 3 nights and seems to have loved her time there. We was invited to meet both Andi and Keith before hand and to see how Oaklee was in there environment and how they got on together. When speaking to Andi it was easy to see she knew how stuff about dogs and out is at ease straight away. Oaklee was well cared for and we received loads of pictures and updates about there adventures and we would definitely recommend Andi and look to use her again in The future.

I was very nervous leaving Meela with Beata, having never left her with a stranger before, enhanced by nit being able to meet beforehand due to me being ill. I needn't have worried, Beata put me and Meela at ease immediately and I was sent regular photos and updates which helped me relax. I wouldn't have an issue with booking Meela in again. Thank you Beata x

Solomon has had a brilliant week with Laura and Kibou. Excellent communication throughout the week and loads of lovely pics. Felt so reassured throughout the week and was really able to enjoy our holiday without worrying about Solomon. He was definitely in good hands! Will be booking with Laura again!

We had a great experience with Thomas. Bertie was settled and seemed really happy when we picked him up. We received regular updates while we were away, which was really reassuring, and when we were delayed picking him up, it was absolutely no problem. We would definitely recommend him and would happily use him again.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
