“Rebecca and Kyle were excellent! This is the first time I have used Rover and the first time Esther has ever boarded overnight. I picked Kyle and Rebecca based off previous 5 star reviews, close location and availability. Due the short notice of the booking, Rebecca and Kyle arranged to meet Esther on the same day of the booking for an introduction so she would be a little more familiar with them the next day, this gave me confidence they would look after her with the upmost care. Esther came back happy, well fed and well groomed. I cant thank them enough for looking after Esther so well and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old, I have helped train, take care and look after them. I am currently studying Psychology at Uni and use my love for dogs and care to help cover my studies. I am currently at University so I have a set schedule, but plenty of time during the week and weekend to look after and play with your dog! I live in a shared house at university all dog friendly if overnight stay is needed. And a park next to the house for dog walks.

Whether it’s walking or sitting, I always take time with owners to understand their pet’s needs and to reassure that their pet will be given the best care and attention. Louisa looked after my dog taco whilst I was on holiday for a week and loved his stay. Louisa was great from start to finish from meeting taco initially for a walk to then looking after him he had plenty walks and enjoyed time in the garden. Will definitely be using Louisa again!
Thomas & Jess did a great job looking after our reactive lurcher for 10 days. They met us prior and we arranged a one night trial prior to the longer stay which really helped us get comfortable leaving him with them for such a stay. They keep us up to date daily, and it looks like he had a great time with them with a good level of exercise. Would recommend them as sitters!
Lucy and Cameron were amazing! They kindly did a meet up before accepting the booking. It’s clear to see they have lots of animal experience. Communication was brilliant and we could tell Bear was more than happy. We have already booked Bear in for his next stay! Thank you both.

Kyle & Rebecca helped me in a bind with a very last minute booking over the weekend and looked after my Red Setter, Chester, at short notice. Very knowledgeable and clearly dog lovers, we had a good chat beforehand as I was a first-time user of Rover and had questions. I received updates and Chester came back knackered, which can only mean he was well looked after and stimulated. Highly recommend.
Deirdre was brilliant with our high energy 1 year old dog. She sent regular updates and pictures to put our mind at rest whilst on holiday. Could not recommend Deirdre enough, her dog Frankie is also very good and him and Brandy got on very well! We will definitely be using Deirdre again!

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
