“Our initial dog sitter fell through last minute, so by the time we found Lois we were already feeling extremely anxious about leaving Dino behind for the first time and were genuinely questioning whether we should even go away at all. From the moment we met her, Lois completely put us at ease with her calm, kind and reassuring nature. It was immediately obvious how much she genuinely cares for animals, and Dino absolutely adored both her and her beautiful gentle pup. During Dino’s stay, Lois looked after him with so much love, patience and attention, treating him as if he were her own. She also took on an unexpected medication regimen that was only introduced on the very day he went into her care, and handled everything without hesitation or complaint. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She kept us constantly updated with messages, photos and reassurance throughout the week, which made such a difference and allowed us to finally relax knowing Dino was in such safe and caring hands. We truly could not have asked for a better experience and feel incredibly grateful that we found Lois when we did. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate and reliable to care for their pet, and she would absolutely be our first choice again in the future.”

About: My Husband and I are loving owners of our beautiful, boisterous, blue eyed Siberian Husky called Blu! Blu has given us 11 years of absolute joy, she has not lost her zoomies or puppy like personality which makes caring for her fun and games. We trained her from a puppy which took sometime (and lots of treats!) but she is now a well trained dog and is always so happy when around other dogs. She is super friendly towards new dogs and always loves any doggy dates we plan. My husband has a very flexible job where he works from home and able to attend to your beloved dog’s needs as and when needed. If your dog is like ours I predict they will have a nice snooze at his feet after a lunch time walk and treat. I also have a very flexible working day and can support during work hours. Evenings and weekends always involve long doggy walks in the local Leeds area. We have plenty of woodland/ parks/ countryside walks on our doorstep which Blu always looks forward too. If your dog is a little older and prefers a shorter stroll or more frequent toilet breaks, we can equally cater to this. We are dog obsessed and always keen to doggy sit for friend’s and family’s dogs, whether that be overnight or just for the day. Just the other week we had the pleasure of looking after my cousins Samoyed for the weekend, enjoying the sun in the secure garden in the morning before an afternoon stroll round the local reservoir. We also have plenty of space in our cozy home for the more rainy days. We are aware of all the important doggy DOs and DONTs and have local vets within 5-10minutes. If your dog has any additional medical/ dietary needs we are happy to facilitate any of their needs with the aim to maintain routines as much as possible. About: I'm Addie, 32, she/they. Since birth, I've lived with all different dog breeds, from jack russels and staffys, to huskies and westies. From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house of 4 dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.

“Our 2 Frenchies had never been left with anyone but family before and we were nervous about leaving them and going abroad for 9 days, We visited Xinyuan and Mike beforehand and immediately felt at ease, they are a lovely couple who our dogs instantly loved. We were given regular updates whilst we were away and Bonnie & Stormy had a great time. I would not hesitate to recommend them. We also had a mix up with our flights and returned a day late which was handled very well without any stress or bother.”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a child and grew up with one at home. Over the past few years, I’ve been dog sitting for my friends’ pets and truly enjoy every moment of it. I’d love to have a dog of my own, but at the moment my circumstances don’t allow it — so caring for others’ dogs is the next best thing! I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m available from Friday to Monday and can easily fit in walks, playtime, or overnight stays during those days. Your dog’s safety is my priority. I always follow your instructions carefully — from feeding routines and walks to any house rules or training habits you have in place. I make sure doors and gates are securely closed, keep a close eye on your pet at all times, and create a calm, familiar environment so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away
