We honestly cannot say enough good things about Satinder and her wonderful family. Satinder cared for our beloved family dog, Willow, for 11 days, and loved and cared for her as if she was her own. Willow had the best holiday at Satinder’s home, gained 2 new baby sisters and a new boyfriend (Satinders hubby)! She was happy and contented, had lots of adventures, exciting walks and cuddles. Satinder sent daily pics and messages, and we were so reassured by her communication. Honestly, we cannot believe how lucky we were to find such a beautiful family to look after our little girl 😊 Thank you doesn’t cover it! If you get chance to book with Satinder, your family pet will have the very best time there. Cannot recommend highly enough! ❤️❤️❤️

We left our sight hound with Barry while we went on an extended holiday. Our dog got on really well with his Saluki and it seemed to have as much a holiday as we did. Barry left regular updates and pictures and we could see how much fun they were having. I'd be more than happy to leave our pets with Barry on the future!

About: **Pricing below includes a 15% booking fee & an additional 15% fee they deduct from each booking I make!** (Due to having chronic health issues, I am unable to dogsit energetic, untrained dogs or dogs with behavioural issues. Also any dog for long periods of time!) I'm Addie, 32, she/they. I have experience with multiple dog breeds, from jack russels and staffys, to huskies and westies, to lurchers and pugs. From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a pet dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house with 3 other dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). Because of this, all my love and attention is on caring for the pets I look after. I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.

We recently left our toy poodle, Apple, with Hey Kiu for 21 days while we were away, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Finding a trustworthy dog sitter can be nerve-wracking, but Hey Kiu put our minds completely at ease from day one. She is exceptionally responsible, attentive, and dependable. Every single day, she kept us updated with detailed notes and wonderful photos of Apple, showing us how well he was settling in and enjoying his time. It was so reassuring to see him so content and properly cared for while we were abroad. Hey Kiu went above and beyond to ensure Apple's daily routine and well-being were maintained. It was abundantly clear that she treats the dogs in her care with genuine love and affection. We are extremely grateful for her fantastic support and would recommend her to any pet owner without hesitation. We will definitely be booking with Hey Kiu again in the future!

I would definitely recommend Ádám! My dog is a rescue and is very wary of strangers but Ádám and his family worked really hard to gain his trust and within a few days Barney seemed right at home with them. They picked up and dropped Barney off which was really helpful, and sent lots of pictures and videos throughout his stay which were really lovely to see. They seem to really love and care about dogs so I would be delighted to leave Barney with them again in the future. Thank you!

About: My Husband and I are loving owners of our beautiful, boisterous, blue eyed Siberian Husky called Blu! Blu has given us 11 years of absolute joy, she has not lost her zoomies or puppy like personality which makes caring for her fun and games. We trained her from a puppy which took sometime (and lots of treats!) but she is now a well trained dog and is always so happy when around other dogs. She is super friendly towards new dogs and always loves any doggy dates we plan. My husband has a very flexible job where he works from home and able to attend to your beloved dog’s needs as and when needed. If your dog is like ours I predict they will have a nice snooze at his feet after a lunch time walk and treat. I also have a very flexible working day and can support during work hours. Evenings and weekends always involve long doggy walks in the local Leeds area. We have plenty of woodland/ parks/ countryside walks on our doorstep which Blu always looks forward too. If your dog is a little older and prefers a shorter stroll or more frequent toilet breaks, we can equally cater to this. We are dog obsessed and always keen to doggy sit for friend’s and family’s dogs, whether that be overnight or just for the day. Just the other week we had the pleasure of looking after my cousins Samoyed for the weekend, enjoying the sun in the secure garden in the morning before an afternoon stroll round the local reservoir. We also have plenty of space in our cozy home for the more rainy days. We are aware of all the important doggy DOs and DONTs and have local vets within 5-10minutes. If your dog has any additional medical/ dietary needs we are happy to facilitate any of their needs with the aim to maintain routines as much as possible. I hope this gives you a little insight and comfort in choosing us to look after your beautiful doggies. Luck forward to hearing from you :) Secretly I am hoping the hubby will come round to getting a second dog after meeting all your lovely pups!! X My husband and I both have flexible jobs where I am home early mornings and late afternoons most days or working from home all day. My husband working from home all the time and on hand to support the dogs as needed. On evenings and weekends we are both around and will prioritise any dog sitting plans we have committed too. Please see our profile information for more detail. We have a secure medium sized garden, safe home with video doorbell and live in a peaceful safe neighbourhood. We make sure the environment is clean and tidy with water and food bowls available for dogs to use them as they please. Please see our profile information for more detail.

We honestly could not recommend Christian and Fredy enough! Our Ollie is 13 and has only ever been looked after by family and close friends who know him well, so we were understandably apprehensive about leaving him with someone new. From the moment we met Christian and Fredy, though, it was clear just how genuinely warm, thoughtful and caring they are and how much they truly love dogs. They treated Ollie as if he was their own, paying attention to all the little things that make such a difference, and kept us reassured throughout with lovely messages, photos and updates. The best part was seeing Ollie when we got him back – it genuinely felt like he’d been on his own little retreat🤩! He came home perky, bouncy, full of energy and completely his happy old self. They had taken such wonderful care of him, even cleaned red stains around Ollie’s eyes 🙏, and he just looked so happy and well cared for. If Ollie could talk, we’re sure he’d say he can’t wait to go back! We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to leave him with Christian and Fredy again. They are genuinely lovely people with a real warmth and kindness towards dogs, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found them. I honestly can’t praise Armish enough. Mopie, our Persian chinchilla, is our child. She’s been the heart of our home for 6 years, and the thought of leaving her while we went away had us anxious for weeks. We’ve been let down before, so trusting someone new felt like a big leap. Armish made that fear disappear almost instantly. She sent us regular updates the whole time we were away, little messages and photos that genuinely made our holiday better. Every time one came through we could see Mopie relaxed, happy and clearly adored. Armish kept her beautifully groomed, made sure she was comfortable, and played with her properly rather than just doing the bare minimum. She treated Mopie like her own. Coming home to a calm, content, well cared for cat meant everything to us. No stress, no sulking, no signs she’d been unsettled at all. That says more about Armish than anything I could write here. We’ve had cat sitters in the past and none of them come close. Armish is in a league of her own, and we feel so lucky we found her. She will be the only person we ever call from now on. Thank you, Armish, truly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
