About: I have been a fan of dogs my whole life, have owned dogs in the past, and currently share responsibilities of caring for a male boxer cross with a friend. For the last 10 years I have been a reliable port of call for family, close friends, friends of friends and neighbours when a short-term solution is needed. Since hearing about Rover.com recently, I decided to reinstate this account and start offering these services to a wider audience. I work full-time, but only a 5 minute walk from home and will never leave a dog unattended for longer than 4 hours as a rule. My work hours at the office are 8:30-17:00 Mon-Thurs with an hour long break at midday, and 8:30-12:30 on Fridays. I usually use my weekends for hiking so can tailor walks to suit individual dogs and/or take specific exercise requests from owners. I have a high-fenced, secure garden with adequate space and shade and trustworthy, retired neighbours either side of my terrace. On pleasant days when I am required to be in-office, I will often leave Fred (my shared boxer-cross) outside with a big bowl of water so he can relax in the sun (or shade) at his leisure. With regards to overnight stays, it is a preference that dogs stay downstairs in either my kitchen or living room, but I can be flexible if certain dogs display any form of separation anxiety. Any dogs staying in my home must have been treated for fleas as standard so as not to jeopardise future pets from picking up hitch-hikers on their staycation.
“First time leaving Jasper with someone for our long weekend away, great correspondence with enough updates to know he was having a great time without us. Highly recommend. Will be using Haley again in the future.”

“Buddy had a lovely time, Alison was fab in keeping us up to date on his adventures with pics and videos and he was tired out when he came home! He can’t wait to go again! Thanks very much.”

About: I have looked after pets for friends, family, and neighbours ever since I was young and always build a special bond with any pet I am lucky enough to spend time with. Whether it’s walking or sitting, I always take time with owners to understand their pet’s needs and to reassure that their pet will be given the best care and attention. I currently work from home 4 days a week with the occasional week where I need to travel for 1-2 days. I am flexible and can provide week long or weekend stays I have a fenced garden and plenty of great walking routes nearby including a shady wood for those hot days and multiple parks with fields for roaming My house is roomy and perfect for pooches to laze about in

“We were very nervous leaving our fur baby for the first time. However, Lauren was amazing. She made us comfortable when we met her. Our dog seemed to love her from the outset. Lauren sent us regular pictures, and gave us updates, assuring us that our pet was doing well. Next time I need someone to watch my dog in the area, I will definately ask Lauren, and would have no hesitation recommending her to everyone.”

“We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after our dog while we were away. From the moment we left him, we knew he was in safe and loving hands. We received regular updates and lots of lovely photos, which gave us complete peace of mind and was wonderful to see. He was treated like one of the family, with everyone making him feel completely at home and giving him an amazing time. The food he was given was absolutely top quality too, and it was clear how much care and attention went into making sure he was happy and well looked after. He came home happy, settled and clearly had a fantastic time. We are incredibly grateful for all the love and care he received and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her. We would definitely use her again!”

“The level of care was outstanding and the updates made me feel Pebbles was being well looked after. Pebbles stayed with Hayley for a week and obviously had a great time. Lots of photos were sent to keep me updated. Plenty of walks, which I received map updates showing the distance/time. And lots of play time with Hayley and her family (partner and two kids) too. I would highly recommend Hayley to anyone wanting their dog looked after.”

“Isobel was absolutely fantastic with our dog Juno, she was so well cared for while we were away. We received regular updates and photos and had complete peace of mind knowing she was being well looked after.”

“Absolutely wonderful stay for Charlie! Ted (Grace’s pooch) was so friendly towards him, and instantly wanted to play and welcome Charlie which was incredible. We felt our dog was in very safe hands with Grace. The perfect home from home stay. We’ll definitely be rebooking Charlie in 😁🐩”

“Louisa was really lovely and caring. She went out of her way to collect Henry and came to mine to drop him back. He was a very happy dog when he returned home and I’d be more than happy for Louisa to have him again”

About: I'm a dedicated pet sitter with a genuine passion for dogs, particularly small and medium breeds. As the proud owner of my own Shih Tzu, Waffle, I understand just how important it is to find someone trustworthy and attentive to care for your dog while you're away. I work from home, which allows me to be present throughout the day — offering consistent supervision, regular walks, engaging playtime, and plenty of affection. My home is also a warm, family environment; my 11-year-old daughter adores dogs and enjoys spending time with them too. I'm committed to providing a safe, calm, and comfortable space where your dog can settle in and feel at ease. Your pet's health and wellbeing are always my top priority, which is why I only care for dogs that are fully vaccinated. Whether it's a quick visit or an extended stay, my goal is to give you complete peace of mind — knowing your dog is being cared for with kindness, patience, and genuine attention to their needs. I work from home all week, so I'm around throughout the day — not just before and after work. This means your dog gets consistent company, regular breaks, and attention spread naturally across the day, rather than being left alone for long stretches. I provide a calm, clean, and safe home environment where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I only accept vaccinated dogs and take time to understand each dog’s routine, personality, feeding requirements, and exercise needs. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure dogs receive plenty of attention, supervision, and care while they are with me.
“Ted had a great time and was really well looked after. He came home very happy and relaxed, which is always the best sign! We felt completely comfortable knowing he was in good hands and would happily book again. Highly recommend!”

“Poppy has such a calm energy that our dog Jasper really warmed to her straight away. Jasper was very sad to leave her. Jasper was looked after beautifully by Poppy and she is an excellent communicator who looked after all his special requirements. Thank you very much.”

“Adam and his partner have been very understanding with taking care of my dad's dog over the weekend; they made sure they stuck to his schedule and comforted him when he was feeling a little lonely! Very accommodating and would definitely recommend and use again!”

Barney stayed with Simon and Charlotte for a weekend whilst I was away. I was nervous about leaving Barney with someone I didn’t know. They made time for me to meet them before hand and to be able to book Barney in for an hour before hand, which helped me and Barney feel more comfortable before the weekend. Whilst away they sent me messages and photos which was really reassuring. Barney had a great time. Being a lab he’s very active, they took him on plenty of walks and made him feel at home. I would definitely use them again and would recommend to anyone looking for care for their dog. Thank you both x

I found Rachel on Rover and her profile immediately stood out, and she has genuinely been the perfect match for my anxious, rehomed 2-year-old cocker spaniel, Rolo. Rolo loves other dogs but can be very anxious around new people, and Rachel was incredibly patient, calm, and kind with him from the very beginning. She never pushed him to interact, instead letting him come to her in his own time, which made such a difference for him. We met for a free meet-and-greet walk where she took time to ask thoughtful questions and came fully prepared with things like towels and dog poo bags. She instinctively knew how to handle Rolo even before I had explained everything in detail, which immediately reassured me that she really understands dogs like him. She then looked after him overnight ahead of our week-long holiday at the end of May. Once again, she was fantastic. She welcomed him into her home, briefed her 3-year-old daughter (who was amazing and so gentle with him), and gave Rolo lots of care, patience, and attention. He even learned a new trick while he was there! I was very nervous about leaving him for the first time away from home, but Rachel kept me updated throughout with regular photos and messages, which really helped reassure me. Rolo did have a slightly unsettled night with some barking at new noises, but Rachel handled it so calmly and kindly, even letting him sleep near her so he could settle. She still managed to walk him the next morning before we picked him up at 8:30am. Rachel is brilliant. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and now feel completely at ease knowing Rolo is in such safe, understanding hands. I honestly can’t recommend her enough—she’s like a dog whisperer and a perfect furry godmother for anxious dogs like mine.

Bella and Nelly had a wonderful stay. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring hands. It was Nelly’s first sleepover, and she settled in brilliantly. They enjoyed plenty of walks, cuddles, and treats. We’ll definitely be booking with Isobel and Tom again, and really appreciated the regular updates throughout their stay.

Bradley looked after Nimbus while we went away for a few days, we had done a meet and greet prior to the stay and had a lovely walk with him, his partner and their lovely dog Luna. Nimbus and Luna got along very well and we were happy Nimbus would be taken care of and have fun while we were away. We got photo updates each day and a check in to confirm Nimbus was behaving and was okay, he came back nice and tired after a few days of fun with his new friend! We’d be happy for Bradley to look after Nimbus again in the future and would happily recommend him to others.
