Our 8 yr old dachshund Draco can be a bit of a handful, but she was amazing with him and he clearly had such a lovely week with Julie as he’s been pining for her since he got home! We got lots of photos and regular updates which was lovely to see, he had lots of walks & little outings, like his own holiday. We even had an issue on day 2 where our arranged care for our other dachshund Luna was no longer an option, and Julie took her on for the rest of the week as well! I had nothing to worry about in terms of their care all week as they were clearly so well looked after and loved. I will absolutely be rebooking with Julie for future stays, a little home from home for both our dogs 💕”

From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a pet dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house with 3 other dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). Because of this, all my love and attention is on caring for the pets I look after. I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.

About: Growing up in rural Herefordshire and working on a friends family farm means I have been taking care of an array of animals from a young age, from looking after family pets and working dogs to sheering sheep and herding cattle. Family and friends have relied upon me to walk, feed and be there for their four legged friends when they can’t be. Specifically, when it comes to cats and dogs, I have looked after my grandads Corgis and cats, my Aunty’s Rottweiler and German Shepards and my friends Border Collies and Cocker Spaniels whilst also raising our own Labrador x Cocker Spaniels. About: I haven’t owned a dog myself yet, but it’s something I’ve always wanted and I’m hoping to get one in the near future. In the meantime, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience looking after friends’ pets, including both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel settled and cared for while their owners are away. Also any dog for long periods of time!) I'm Addie, 32, she/they. I have experience with multiple dog breeds, from jack russels and staffys, to huskies and westies, to lurchers and pugs. From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a pet dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house with 3 other dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). Because of this, all my love and attention is on caring for the pets I look after. I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.
