About: I'm Addie, 32, she/they. Since birth, I've lived with all different dog breeds, from jack russels and staffys, to huskies and westies. From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house of 4 dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.

“Our initial dog sitter fell through last minute, so by the time we found Lois we were already feeling extremely anxious about leaving Dino behind for the first time and were genuinely questioning whether we should even go away at all. From the moment we met her, Lois completely put us at ease with her calm, kind and reassuring nature. It was immediately obvious how much she genuinely cares for animals, and Dino absolutely adored both her and her beautiful gentle pup. During Dino’s stay, Lois looked after him with so much love, patience and attention, treating him as if he were her own. She also took on an unexpected medication regimen that was only introduced on the very day he went into her care, and handled everything without hesitation or complaint. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She kept us constantly updated with messages, photos and reassurance throughout the week, which made such a difference and allowed us to finally relax knowing Dino was in such safe and caring hands. We truly could not have asked for a better experience and feel incredibly grateful that we found Lois when we did. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate and reliable to care for their pet, and she would absolutely be our first choice again in the future.”

About: Growing up we never had a year where we’ve never had pets in the family home, from dogs to cats, rabbits, parrot and many many more (yes we are pet mad and they’re all spoilt rotten too!) We’ve looked after many of our family friends dogs and currently have 2 cats at my parents house who have been rescued and been with us for 10 years. Also we look after many feral cats and I’m involved in the Cats protection TNR (trap, neuter and release) of cats to help feral colonies. I personally have 24 years experience looking after animals from small to large, husband has 5 years experience so combined approx 30 years of us knowing what to do! We live right next to Roundhay park too so rest assured your dog will be walked regularly in open fields if you allow us to. We currently have 2 daughters and 2 fish so my only ask is that your beloved pet must be friendly with children (children are fully trained to respect all animals and have had a lot of exposure to cats and dogs to this day and have never had a problem). If you have any more questions, please do ask and we will be happy to help. I’m currently at home on maternity leave and have spare time to look after animals too. The care of your beloved pet will be paramount to me as explained on my description due to having pets all my life. We have 2 doors to our home (both locked with a 2 safety feature) so your pet will be safe and treated as though s/he is part of our own family. We have French doors which are locked too. 4 of us living in our home so plenty of room for a furry friend too

About: I've previously had a chocolate lab from a puppy and now have Oscar, a 2 year old Lurcher. I've also had various other pets throughout my sons childhood. Oscar goes to other pet sitters through Rover, whilst I'm at work and so I decided to offer my time to do the same for others. Oscar is still young and playful, therefore nervous dogs would not be suitable. I live with my 20 year old son and Saluki sized lurcher Oscar. I live in apartment but have access to an enclosed garden and lots of walks by the river and canal. My street is on the Meanwood trail and 5 mins from Meanwood Park. There are woodland walks in every direction from my house - lots of places to explore. I'm very easy going and will stick to whatever regime and requirements the owners need. Whether it's long walks or just snuggles on the sofa, Oscar and I are happy. Your pet will not be left alone at any point.

It's a child, pet and smoke free environment so I am able to give your pet the attention it deserves.

About: I’ve have had and taken care of dogs of all sizes (from miniature dachshunds to Great Danes), and ages for my entire life. I have also helped friends, family and strangers with feeding, walking and babysitting their furry family for over a decade. I am currently working part-time and my housemate works from home so we have plenty of time for walking and attention to give between us. We are adaptable and have a number of parks and grassy areas surrounding our building. We will only let your dog off a lead if they are trained and you are comfortable for us to do so but are happy to keep them on lead and walk further to make sure they get the exercise they need. We live in a good sized 2 bed, 2 bath, dog friendly apartment with no other dogs.

About: I'm Addie, 32, she/they. Since birth, I've lived with all different dog breeds, from jack russels and staffys, to huskies and westies. From a young age I took an interest in dogs and I consider them my soul animals. As a child, I started training my Grandma's dogs and then my own family dogs. I've enjoyed learning about dogs behaviours, cues and psychology which gives me a better understanding of each individual animal. I had my own dog, up until 2 years ago as she passed away and so I have experience of being the sole carer of a dog. I'm always my friends and families go to person for dog sitting and I've been called a "dog whisperer". One of the proudest things I can say is that all animals trust me and that is such an honour! I live in a warm and compassionate shared house of 4 dog lovers. Everyone mostly works from home so there will never be a shortage of cuddles and attention. At the moment, I don't work due to chronic health issues, so I have a lot of free time (depending on whether I'm having a bad flare up or not). I tend to only ever look after one dog at a time, so I can give them my full attention. In my household there are no other animals or any children. I don't have an enclosed garden but I'm happy to take them to the toilet as many times as they need on the lead. There are several grass sections and woodland right next to my house. I always wants dogs to feel like my home is their home and that includes going on the sofa and bed.

From the moment we met her, Lois completely put us at ease with her calm, kind and reassuring nature. It was immediately obvious how much she genuinely cares for animals, and Dino absolutely adored both her and her beautiful gentle pup. During Dino’s stay, Lois looked after him with so much love, patience and attention, treating him as if he were her own. She also took on an unexpected medication regimen that was only introduced on the very day he went into her care, and handled everything without hesitation or complaint. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She kept us constantly updated with messages, photos and reassurance throughout the week, which made such a difference and allowed us to finally relax knowing Dino was in such safe and caring hands. We truly could not have asked for a better experience and feel incredibly grateful that we found Lois when we did. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate and reliable to care for their pet, and she would absolutely be our first choice again in the future.”

About: Growing up we never had a year where we’ve never had pets in the family home, from dogs to cats, rabbits, parrot and many many more (yes we are pet mad and they’re all spoilt rotten too!) We’ve looked after many of our family friends dogs and currently have 2 cats at my parents house who have been rescued and been with us for 10 years. Also we look after many feral cats and I’m involved in the Cats protection TNR (trap, neuter and release) of cats to help feral colonies. I personally have 24 years experience looking after animals from small to large, husband has 5 years experience so combined approx 30 years of us knowing what to do! We live right next to Roundhay park too so rest assured your dog will be walked regularly in open fields if you allow us to. We currently have 2 daughters and 2 fish so my only ask is that your beloved pet must be friendly with children (children are fully trained to respect all animals and have had a lot of exposure to cats and dogs to this day and have never had a problem). If you have any more questions, please do ask and we will be happy to help. I’m currently at home on maternity leave and have spare time to look after animals too. The care of your beloved pet will be paramount to me as explained on my description due to having pets all my life. We have 2 doors to our home (both locked with a 2 safety feature) so your pet will be safe and treated as though s/he is part of our own family. We have French doors which are locked too. 4 of us living in our home so plenty of room for a furry friend too

“Asta was absolutely brilliant looking after Morris who is our 5 year old Sprocker. At times, Morris is not an easy dog, and we provided really clear instructions to Asta who followed these but also took the time to get to know Morris and his needs. Asta was engaged, curious and in constant communication with us throughout the weekend she had him. She was attentive, clear and very responsible with him and it was just a pleasure to get to know her and knowing he was in such safe hands. She also looked after our property very well. All in all it was a brilliant experience and we would highly recommend Asta.”
