About: Hi! We’re Lily and Joe, a couple based in Halifax. We both work flexibly from home (spacious and comfortable) so can offer lots of attention to your dog. Lots of green space around my village for walks. We have vast experience dog sitting for friends/family as well as having my own family dogs for 20+ years. Myself and Joe live an active lifestyle and love going for walks. We look forward to caring for your lovely dogs! I work flexibly from home so can be there to care for your dogs every need and let them out for toilet / walk as often as needed. The back of my house is fenced off and secure, and my house doors are always locked for security. My house is open plan and spacious so very comfortable for your pets.

About: You may notice a gap in our recent reviews, we took a short break for personal reasons, but we are so excited to be back! We truly love every 'furry' guest we host and can’t wait to meet yours. ​I currently work a hybrid schedule, so I am unable to accept dogs with severe separation anxiety. However, I am a great fit for pups who are comfortable being home for up to 4.5 hours (half a workday). For the other half of the day, I work from home and your little one will have my full attention! ​Every dog has a unique personality. The more you share about their specific needs and quirks, the better we can ensure they have a wonderful 'staycation' while you’re away. Please reach out with any questions! We know leaving your dog can be stressful for both of you. Your pet's well-being is our top priority. A meet and greet is essential so we can assess compatibility and how quickly your dog settles into a new environment. If everything goes well, we recommend a trial stay. We want to ensure your dog is happy and relaxed while you're away. While we'd love to care for every dog, we're unable to accept pets with separation anxiety or those who cannot be left alone, as our setup doesn't allow for 24/7 home care. However, you can be confident that your dog will receive lots of love and attention during their stay with us! For the garden: "We have a private, fenced-in garden in the front and a tiered garden in the back, offering your dog safe spaces to explore and relax." For the canal walks: "I'm familiar with some scenic canal paths perfect for calm walks and playtime. These offer a peaceful alternative to busier city areas."

About: I provide calm, reliable and attentive care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I take time to understand each animal’s routine, personality and preferences so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I’m especially good with building trust with pets who may be anxious or need a bit more patience, and I’m very mindful of maintaining familiar routines such as feeding times, walks, and comfort habits. I treat every pet as if they were my own, focusing on consistency, reassurance, and creating a stress free environment for them while their owner has peace of mind. I work from home with a high level of flexibility to provide pet care. This means I can fit around feeding times, walks, check-ins, and any specific routines your pet is used to. On my working days, I am still able to step away as needed to provide care, and I am also available for mornings, evenings, and overnight stays depending on requirements. On my non-working day and weekends, I have additional flexibility for longer stays or more frequent visits. My aim is always to provide consistent, calm and reliable care that fits naturally around the pet’s routine. I primarily offer pet sitting in the pet owner’s home, as I believe most pets feel safest and most comfortable in their familiar environment. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their usual routine including feeding times, walks, play, and any specific care instructions. I also make sure their home is kept clean, secure, and respected at all times. My focus is on reducing stress for the pet by maintaining consistency and providing calm, attentive care while their owner is away.

About: There hasn't been a time in my life without dogs. I currently have 2 rescues from the RSPCA; a Dachshund and a Shih Tzu cross Pomeranian. Growing up we had 3 Dalmatians and a Doberman. I am also an experienced small pet owner from gerbils, hamsters and rats through to guinea pigs and rabbits. I know how much your pets mean to you but also how sometimes you go places that aren't best suited for them and just need a helping hand to watch over them. I will always ensure the best care for them and some may say spoil them a bit too much! I work an office job 9-5 so I am available mornings, evenings and weekends. I can do short visits on lunch times if located within nearby proximity. I have grown up with dogs and small pets my whole life so I am well versed in animal care and what they need. I have had dogs of varying temperaments. Most of my dogs have been rescues so all come with their own quirks and needs. I understand how some pets require a little extra t.l.c and some need their own space.

About: From a young age I have always been fond of all animals and as a family we took on the role as puppy walkers for Guide Dogs. One puppy we adopted unfortunately developed arthritis so could no longer carry on the training but this allowed us to keep him and we had a fantastic 13 years together. He made my childhood and although in adulthood I haven't taken a dog on myself, I am a serial dog auntie to many and offered dog walks and pet sitting to friends/family/colleagues/neighbours etc before I started extending this to services on Rover. I am a really keen walker and know some great dog friendly routes but also always keen for the excuse to find new ones. I do work but have flexibility in my schedule and can work from home too which means I am on hand to be with pets in the day. I do not have the commitments of kids or other pets myself so again can offer that flexible care in the week to meet the needs of different people and their pets. I offer hands on care to ensure the safety and comfort and any pet I am responsible for. I want owners to feel assured their beloved animals are in safe hands. I am flexible to follow the wishes of owners to meet the individual needs of their pets, (however quirky they may be).

About: I used to take care of cats and Dogs but once i got my house i would love to have them at home as well We have a dog and 3 cats and they are all family for us, we love to have friends with animals and we have a beautiful park where we go nearly everyday I have a fenced garden with a cavapoo very friendly, we have a flip flop door as well to go inside and very friendly enviroment

About: I have cared for dogs, cats,rabbits,Guinea pigs,mice, horses,sheep, ducks and geese. The care has been on both a daily and board basis. All aspects of care given to make sure the animal is safe, healthy and happy I currently work part time so have time to provide full care for pet sits and can do afternoon evening dog walks as well as drop ins I can board small mammals in my home and can provide care in your own home for all animals. Your pet will be always be treated as though they were my own and their safety and care will always be maintained

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and for the past 11 years I've taken care of others in addition to my own, I have experience caring for cats and dogs of all different sizes and breeds. Neighbours, friends and family have all relied on me to care for their pets, as well as families booked through Rover. I currently work from home 4 days a week, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets and keep them company! I'm available for boarding on weekdays and weekends. I go into the office every Monday so I'm out of the house from 7am-6.30pm. I'm available all day Tuesday - Sunday and from 6.30pm on Mondays. I work from home so I'm always around to keep your fur baby company. I love walking and the outdoors so your pet will get plenty of time outside if that's what they like!

About: Hi, My name is Georgia, I am 25 years old and animal care is my passion. I studied animal management at college and also completed extra qualifications at college including animal first aid and canine behaviour and training. I volunteered at an animal shelter for several months where I walked the dogs and cleaned dog kennels and cat pens. I previously had a part-time job at a small animal boarding and canine hydrotherapy centre where I worked with rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, and other small animals in the boarding facilities. I had my own dog walking business prior to Covid, however like many other businesses during this time, I had to give it up. I am currently working full time but would love to spend my free time helping with your pet care needs! I am currently studying biology at university; I am always free in the evening and at the weekend. I will work around my classes during the week. I am unable to offer boarding, I do however have a lot of experience in pet-sitting and dog walking. My primary goal is to ensure that the animal's needs are met, but I am also there to provide company, playtime and lots of cuddles.

About: I was brought up with dogs, numerous exotic pets and horses so I have a deep understanding of the level of commitment and care our pets need. My first pet was an English Bull Terrier called Levi who I was raised with form the ago of 2. I went from dressing him up and painting his nails to walking him in the fields everyday, he was truly my best friend. As he started to age and I was entering my teen years, we rescued Diesel, a staffy x pitbull, from an abusive home and made our home his forever home. My Dad taught me the fundamentals of training a pup, everything from pad training to recall. There was 4 of us in the house but the dogs were definitely mine and my Dad's. I think no matter what age a dog is, patience is key but everything comes from your tone and body language. (And of course, lots of cuddles!) I am also first aid trained in animal care which came from working alongside my Mum in an animal care centre college. I currently work Monday-friday 8am-4pm all around Huddersfield cleaning windows so I will be available evenings/nights(including house sitting)/weekends. I own and drive a vehicle so travel isn't an issue. I unfortunately can't bring your pet home with me because we have a cat and a big rescue romanian sheep dog but if needed, I own a 2 seater mini van so your pet has the choice of being passenger princess in the front with me or they can have the back to themselves in a crate. I'm a very open and honest person so your home will be safe in my hands if boarding. Im happy to provide references if you wish.
