About: There hasn't been a time in my life without dogs. I currently have 2 rescues from the RSPCA; a Dachshund and a Shih Tzu cross Pomeranian. Growing up we had 3 Dalmatians and a Doberman. I am also an experienced small pet owner from gerbils, hamsters and rats through to guinea pigs and rabbits. I know how much your pets mean to you but also how sometimes you go places that aren't best suited for them and just need a helping hand to watch over them. I will always ensure the best care for them and some may say spoil them a bit too much! I work an office job 9-5 so I am available mornings, evenings and weekends. I can do short visits on lunch times if located within nearby proximity. I have grown up with dogs and small pets my whole life so I am well versed in animal care and what they need. I have had dogs of varying temperaments. Most of my dogs have been rescues so all come with their own quirks and needs. I understand how some pets require a little extra t.l.c and some need their own space.

About: Hi! We’re Lily and Joe, a couple based in Halifax. We both work flexibly from home (spacious and comfortable) so can offer lots of attention to your dog. Lots of green space around my village for walks. We have vast experience dog sitting for friends/family as well as having my own family dogs for 20+ years. Myself and Joe live an active lifestyle and love going for walks. We look forward to caring for your lovely dogs! I work flexibly from home so can be there to care for your dogs every need and let them out for toilet / walk as often as needed. The back of my house is fenced off and secure, and my house doors are always locked for security. My house is open plan and spacious so very comfortable for your pets.

About: You may notice a gap in our recent reviews, we took a short break for personal reasons, but we are so excited to be back! We truly love every 'furry' guest we host and can’t wait to meet yours. ​I currently work a hybrid schedule, so I am unable to accept dogs with severe separation anxiety. However, I am a great fit for pups who are comfortable being home for up to 4.5 hours (half a workday). For the other half of the day, I work from home and your little one will have my full attention! ​Every dog has a unique personality. The more you share about their specific needs and quirks, the better we can ensure they have a wonderful 'staycation' while you’re away. Please reach out with any questions! We know leaving your dog can be stressful for both of you. Your pet's well-being is our top priority. A meet and greet is essential so we can assess compatibility and how quickly your dog settles into a new environment. If everything goes well, we recommend a trial stay. We want to ensure your dog is happy and relaxed while you're away. While we'd love to care for every dog, we're unable to accept pets with separation anxiety or those who cannot be left alone, as our setup doesn't allow for 24/7 home care. However, you can be confident that your dog will receive lots of love and attention during their stay with us! For the garden: "We have a private, fenced-in garden in the front and a tiered garden in the back, offering your dog safe spaces to explore and relax." For the canal walks: "I'm familiar with some scenic canal paths perfect for calm walks and playtime. These offer a peaceful alternative to busier city areas."

I take time to understand each animal’s routine, personality and preferences so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I’m especially good with building trust with pets who may be anxious or need a bit more patience, and I’m very mindful of maintaining familiar routines such as feeding times, walks, and comfort habits. I treat every pet as if they were my own, focusing on consistency, reassurance, and creating a stress free environment for them while their owner has peace of mind. I work from home with a high level of flexibility to provide pet care. This means I can fit around feeding times, walks, check-ins, and any specific routines your pet is used to. On my working days, I am still able to step away as needed to provide care, and I am also available for mornings, evenings, and overnight stays depending on requirements. On my non-working day and weekends, I have additional flexibility for longer stays or more frequent visits. My aim is always to provide consistent, calm and reliable care that fits naturally around the pet’s routine. I primarily offer pet sitting in the pet owner’s home, as I believe most pets feel safest and most comfortable in their familiar environment. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their usual routine including feeding times, walks, play, and any specific care instructions. About: From a young age I have always been fond of all animals and as a family we took on the role as puppy walkers for Guide Dogs. One puppy we adopted unfortunately developed arthritis so could no longer carry on the training but this allowed us to keep him and we had a fantastic 13 years together. He made my childhood and although in adulthood I haven't taken a dog on myself, I am a serial dog auntie to many and offered dog walks and pet sitting to friends/family/colleagues/neighbours etc before I started extending this to services on Rover. I am a really keen walker and know some great dog friendly routes but also always keen for the excuse to find new ones. I do work but have flexibility in my schedule and can work from home too which means I am on hand to be with pets in the day. I do not have the commitments of kids or other pets myself so again can offer that flexible care in the week to meet the needs of different people and their pets. I offer hands on care to ensure the safety and comfort and any pet I am responsible for. I want owners to feel assured their beloved animals are in safe hands. I am flexible to follow the wishes of owners to meet the individual needs of their pets, (however quirky they may be).

She took the time to come and meet her first which I really liked. Both times we have been away I’ve had pictures and videos from Emma of Sandy. About: Hi, My name is Georgia, I am 25 years old and animal care is my passion. I studied animal management at college and also completed extra qualifications at college including animal first aid and canine behaviour and training. I volunteered at an animal shelter for several months where I walked the dogs and cleaned dog kennels and cat pens. I previously had a part-time job at a small animal boarding and canine hydrotherapy centre where I worked with rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, and other small animals in the boarding facilities. I had my own dog walking business prior to Covid, however like many other businesses during this time, I had to give it up. I am currently working full time but would love to spend my free time helping with your pet care needs! I am currently studying biology at university; I am always free in the evening and at the weekend. I will work around my classes during the week. I am unable to offer boarding, I do however have a lot of experience in pet-sitting and dog walking. My primary goal is to ensure that the animal's needs are met, but I am also there to provide company, playtime and lots of cuddles.

About: I used to take care of cats and Dogs but once i got my house i would love to have them at home as well We have a dog and 3 cats and they are all family for us, we love to have friends with animals and we have a beautiful park where we go nearly everyday I have a fenced garden with a cavapoo very friendly, we have a flip flop door as well to go inside and very friendly enviroment

About: I have had both cats and dogs since I was born. I have had a range of different breed dogs including Labradors as well as an English Bull Terrier. I know how to train dogs and care for dogs as I have 20 years of 'unprofessional' experience, you could say. I also have walked dogs through apps such as Borrow My Doggy and have had a successful experience there. I have previously dog sited friends dogs as well as other family member dogs. I have also cared for others cats. I also am currently trying to improve my photography skills and have taken some lovely photos of my pets as well as my friends and families, so can snap some lovely shots of your animals, can't promise top quality :) I'm currently on my masters placement year. I am in work 3 days a work but work from home most days. I am looking to earn some money while also spending time with animals, which I love! I will look to follow your helpful tips on what’s best for your pets. This will include best toys, food spots and best cuddle spots!

About: I have lived with and been surrounded by cats and dogs my whole life, particularly rescues. I have experience with puppies/kitties but also senior pets! I have a completely open schedule 90% of the time, so I have more than enough time to care for and play with your pets! I understand some pets require more attention than others, I believe play and exercise are very important. I will ensure the animals in question are content, safe and have all the attention they need

About: I've grown up with animals, especially dogs. Whether it was my grandparents' German Shepherd or my own Jack Russell, I have an affinity with animals. I'm currently studying part-time and work part-time so there's a bit of flexibility for dog walking but it depends on my shift pattern. I'm an early riser, so morning walks are absolutely fine! I work 3 days a week in Lindley Huddersfield – pet sitting would be suitable if on certain days they can be left alone. Unfortunately I can't care for pets in my own home. Not because I don't want to but it's a rented property in a listed building.

About: I was brought up with dogs, numerous exotic pets and horses so I have a deep understanding of the level of commitment and care our pets need. My first pet was an English Bull Terrier called Levi who I was raised with form the ago of 2. I went from dressing him up and painting his nails to walking him in the fields everyday, he was truly my best friend. As he started to age and I was entering my teen years, we rescued Diesel, a staffy x pitbull, from an abusive home and made our home his forever home. My Dad taught me the fundamentals of training a pup, everything from pad training to recall. There was 4 of us in the house but the dogs were definitely mine and my Dad's. I think no matter what age a dog is, patience is key but everything comes from your tone and body language. (And of course, lots of cuddles!) I am also first aid trained in animal care which came from working alongside my Mum in an animal care centre college. I currently work Monday-friday 8am-4pm all around Huddersfield cleaning windows so I will be available evenings/nights(including house sitting)/weekends. I own and drive a vehicle so travel isn't an issue. I unfortunately can't bring your pet home with me because we have a cat and a big rescue romanian sheep dog but if needed, I own a 2 seater mini van so your pet has the choice of being passenger princess in the front with me or they can have the back to themselves in a crate. I'm a very open and honest person so your home will be safe in my hands if boarding. Im happy to provide references if you wish.

About: Hi, we’re Annabelle & Chris! and we have had dogs around us ever since we were both little or born so we have always been around dogs, we absolutely LOVE them. We would even say they are better than people!! We’re used to all different breeds and sizes of dogs and no dog is ever too much to handle. We like to think we get a good sense of what a dog is like just from spending a short amount of time with them. We have also owned cats previously so we are super happy to offer a comforting friendly face for your furry friend. Rest assured, your dog is with genuine dog lovers. We can't wait to meet them! Me and Chris have decided to do this together, meaning we can offer extra support for your furry friends! Annabelle - I currently work full time from home so can offer your furry friend company all day long. I have 2 dogs of my own so I am used to the routine of getting up at 5:30am to give them a good walk, breakfast and playtime before starting work (from home) I then finish work and take them for another long walk in the evening followed by dinner and playtime in the garden or living room ( weather dependant) so they’re tired out before bedtime. Chris - has his own business so is also very flexible on when and where he can work. So there will always be someone available for your furry friend! If you’re like us, do you hate the thought of your pet being left alone for hours on end while you go out to work? Do you pay ridiculous costs just for someone to drop in and walk your dog for a short while? We are here to help! We are offering daycare, boarding, pet walking, all you’re pets needs! Our biggest objective is that your pet feels safe and always has company. I have a fully fenced and gated garden at our home address, so there will be no escapees. However before taking on any boarders we would be looking to offer dog walking, day care services, to get to know each pup personally and to make sure you and your beloved pup are comfortable and all needs are catered for. We personally like to know our dogs feel at ease when staying with someone and that we’re not leaving them with a stranger, this is the relationship we’d love to build with you and your furry friend!
