About: Caring for my cats has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and it has deepened my love and understanding of animals. I have learned to anticipate their needs, provide comfort, and create a safe and happy environment for them. This has inspired me to become a pet sitter, where I can extend the same level of care and attention to other pets. I understand that pets are more than just animals—they are family members who deserve to be treated with respect and love. As a pet sitter, my goal is to provide a reliable, compassionate service that ensures pets feel secure and happy while their owners are away. I am motivated by the joy of connecting with animals and helping them feel at ease, knowing that they are in good hands. My own experience with animals can helps me to understand how our pets need and take care them with love and passion. DBS certificate can be provided if required. As a mom of a kids and 2 cats, my duty is taking care of them and also your pets , I will be staying with them and make them feel safe and happy. I will visit you place to make sure your furry friend are feeded , spend time to stay and play with them make them feel loved.
“Macey was the kindest, most thoughtful and professional catsitter. She sent us regular updates and pictures to keep us from worrying whilst on holiday. We came back home to a very relaxed kitty who clearly had been shown a lot of love and care in our absence. I’m hoping Macey can become my long-term catsitter for these reasons! ”

“Really happy with the care my reptiles received from Jade. From the initial meet and greet, communication was quick and easy, and I got plenty of updates and photos while I was away. Before I left, I’d accidentally left my gecko’s enclosure open and he escaped. She spotted it straight away, and went an extra mile and stayed longer than planned to safely get him back, and kept me and my emergency contact updated throughout. I’d happily rebook in the future and would definitely recommend her to others!”
“Lou communicated really well in advance and came to meet the cats before sitting. Lots of photos / videos to reassure me all going well and instructions followed to the letter. Thank you!”

“This is the first time we have used a pet sitting service for our cats so was a little unsure what to expect. Elisa has been fantastic! Proving us with updates for each visit and photographs was really nice and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Elisa to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: I provide calm, reliable and attentive care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I take time to understand each animal’s routine, personality and preferences so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I have approximately 20 years of experience, caring for pets and approximately 5 years of dog walking experience. I’m especially good with building trust with pets who may be anxious or need a bit more patience, and I’m very mindful of maintaining familiar routines such as feeding times, walks, and comfort habits. I treat every pet as if they were my own, focusing on consistency, reassurance, and creating a stress free environment for them while their owner has peace of mind. I work from home with a high level of flexibility to provide pet care. This means I can fit around feeding times, walks, check-ins, and any specific routines your pet is used to. On my working days, I am still able to step away as needed to provide care, and I am also available for mornings, evenings, and overnight stays depending on requirements. On my non-working day and weekends, I have additional flexibility for longer stays or more frequent visits. My aim is always to provide consistent, calm and reliable care that fits naturally around the pet’s routine. I primarily offer pet sitting in the pet owner’s home, as I believe most pets feel safest and most comfortable in their familiar environment. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their usual routine including feeding times, walks, play, and any specific care instructions. I also make sure their home is kept clean, secure, and respected at all times. My focus is on reducing stress for the pet by maintaining consistency and providing calm, attentive care while their owner is away.
“I was really worried to leave my cat Iris alone for the first time, however the update messages and pictures I recieved upon every visit really gave me peace of mind throughout my trip. Alison is lovely and I really feel like she looked after Iris and showed her care and love as if she was her own cat. Its great that I know I have someone I can trust to check in on her every time I go away. Thank you Alison! :)”

About: I've grown up with animals, especially dogs. Whether it was my grandparents' German Shepherd or my own Jack Russell, I have an affinity with animals. I'm currently studying part-time and work part-time so there's a bit of flexibility for dog walking but it depends on my shift pattern. I'm an early riser, so morning walks are absolutely fine! I work 3 days a week in Lindley Huddersfield – pet sitting would be suitable if on certain days they can be left alone. Unfortunately I can't care for pets in my own home. Not because I don't want to but it's a rented property in a listed building.

About: From a young age I have always been fond of all animals and as a family we took on the role as puppy walkers for Guide Dogs. One puppy we adopted unfortunately developed arthritis so could no longer carry on the training but this allowed us to keep him and we had a fantastic 13 years together. He made my childhood and although in adulthood I haven't taken a dog on myself, I am a serial dog auntie to many and offered dog walks and pet sitting to friends/family/colleagues/neighbours etc before I started extending this to services on Rover. I am a really keen walker and know some great dog friendly routes but also always keen for the excuse to find new ones. I do work but have flexibility in my schedule and can work from home too which means I am on hand to be with pets in the day. I do not have the commitments of kids or other pets myself so again can offer that flexible care in the week to meet the needs of different people and their pets. I offer hands on care to ensure the safety and comfort and any pet I am responsible for. I want owners to feel assured their beloved animals are in safe hands. I am flexible to follow the wishes of owners to meet the individual needs of their pets, (however quirky they may be).

About: There hasn't been a time in my life without dogs. I currently have 2 rescues from the RSPCA; a Dachshund and a Shih Tzu cross Pomeranian. Growing up we had 3 Dalmatians and a Doberman. I am also an experienced small pet owner from gerbils, hamsters and rats through to guinea pigs and rabbits. I know how much your pets mean to you but also how sometimes you go places that aren't best suited for them and just need a helping hand to watch over them. I will always ensure the best care for them and some may say spoil them a bit too much! I work an office job 9-5 so I am available mornings, evenings and weekends. I can do short visits on lunch times if located within nearby proximity. I have grown up with dogs and small pets my whole life so I am well versed in animal care and what they need. I have had dogs of varying temperaments. Most of my dogs have been rescues so all come with their own quirks and needs. I understand how some pets require a little extra t.l.c and some need their own space.
About: I absolutely love cats and dogs and have over 10 years experience living with and taking care of them. My friends and family refer to me as the ‘cat whisperer’ and I'm known to befriend dogs at every opportunity. As I don't have pets of my own anymore, over the past few years I've started offering my petsitting services to a small number of friends and family members. I'm now excited to offer my services to a small network in my local community. Whether it’s a high energy walk in the hills, a quiet evening of cuddles or a week-long stay, my goal is to bring your pet joy and total safety. I’m reliable, friendly and an excellent communicator (who will keep you updated with photos of your pet if you like), and I promise to leave your home just as tidy as I found it! I usually work remotely so I can be flexible to the needs of your pets, making sure they get all the love and fuss they need! I'm usually available for full day petsitting if you're away at work (8.30am - 5.30pm) and overnight stays. My calendar is fairly flexible and I'll do my best to accommodate what you and your pet needs. I'm a trustworthy and compassionate person who will look after your home and pets as if they're my own. I pride myself in creating a happy and calm environment for pets while respecting the environment they live in. I'm super clean and tidy and will always leave your home as I found it.

About: Having grown up with a dog and now have a cat, I have cared for many other dogs both professionally and in my family I have experience with dogs ranging from puppies to older and much larger dogs. I have been trusted to walk, play with and bathe dogs and have experience with dogs with challenging behaviours. I am a freelance photographer so I will have a lot of days free in-between shoots or weddings, I can be available most days and nights provided I have enough notice. I can come to your home where your pet is more comfortable and play with them, let them out and take them for walks around an area that they know. I will always be vigilant and ensure your dogs and others safety at all times.

About: I’ve had dogs & cats all my life and have been pet sitting for 5+ years. I also have a qualification in dog behaviour and pet first aid, so I’m confident looking after pets with all sorts of personalities and needs. I’m particularly comfortable with anxious or reactive dogs and understand that some dogs need a bit more time and space than others. I’m happy to work around their routine and whatever makes them feel comfortable. I’m also very much a cat person. Sassy and independent? Love them. Friendly and cuddly? Even better. I’m quite happy to let them decide whether I’m worthy of their attention. I have my own Saluki/Greyhound, Genie, who has just made it through the puppy stage, so I’m well acquainted with the chaos that comes with that! I’m happy to send as many updates as you’d like while you’re away, just let me know what you prefer. I can offer day boarding at my home, but not overnight boarding. As Genie lives here, your pet must be comfortable being around other dogs and would have to be a good match. 🐾 My schedule - Day boarding at my home: 8am–5pm (exl Fri) - Pet sitting in your home: Happy to stay during the day/ evenings, but I don’t offer overnight stays. - Fridays: Available after 4pm - Evenings & weekends: Generally available. If not it will be blocked out on my calendar. 🐕 Dogs: I’m happy to adapt to each dog and their personality. Got a hyper dog with loads of energy? Let’s get that energy out with walks, play and plenty of enrichment! For more anxious or easily overwhelmed dogs, I’m happy to take things slowly. We can keep things calm, give them plenty of space and take the time to get to know each other at their own pace. 🐈⬛ Cats: Cats have their own ways of doing things, so I’m happy to work around their personality and routine. Whether they want lots of fuss and play or would rather do their own thing, I’ll give them the space they need while making sure they’re fed, comfortable and happy.
About: I currently have Leah & Jake, my 2 Border Collies. We're always out and about up on Saddleworth Moor having walkies... There's no better feeling than being outdoors with dogs.. I currently don't work, so I'm home all day now. Home sitting is available on Friday & Saturday nights. Unfortunately, I can't board pets due to my own dogs/cats/snakes etc My pets want for nothing. They are loved and cared for as family members. My cats and dogs have full roam of my house and also sleep on my bed if they want to.

Macey is an absolute superstar with her visits and I would highly recommend her to anybody! She always arrives at the allocated time, would always be here for the duration (and extra!). Sent lots of lovely updates and pictures, making sure Luna was always cared for to the highest standard. Will definitely be booking Macey for all future endeavours. Thank you so much!

As a cat parent who is devoted to thier furbaby. Karen's check ins were the reassurance that I needed. All updates were well documented. Karen's check ins came with time stamps, pictures, videos, and written paragraphs about the session. I was pleasantly surprised with the experience, I would book Karen again, Thank You.

I’ve just come home to a very happy cat! Florence looked after our Maggie so well, and sent lots of updates and photos while we were away so I wasn’t worried about how she was while we were away. Our cat has medical needs, and Florence has met them exactly as I would’ve. Couldn’t be more grateful!

Lou was amazing at communicating before and during the booking, which was really helpful in terms of me knowing Angel was doing well! He spent plenty of time with Angel and I could see from the updates how happy she was to see him! I will definitely be using them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
