About: From a young age I have always been fond of all animals and as a family we took on the role as puppy walkers for Guide Dogs. One puppy we adopted unfortunately developed arthritis so could no longer carry on the training but this allowed us to keep him and we had a fantastic 13 years together. He made my childhood and although in adulthood I haven't taken a dog on myself, I am a serial dog auntie to many and offered dog walks and pet sitting to friends/family/colleagues/neighbours etc before I started extending this to services on Rover. I am a really keen walker and know some great dog friendly routes but also always keen for the excuse to find new ones. I do work but have flexibility in my schedule and can work from home too which means I am on hand to be with pets in the day. I do not have the commitments of kids or other pets myself so again can offer that flexible care in the week to meet the needs of different people and their pets. About: I love cats and my landlady has a black cat called Thomas, I am responsible for looking after him if the landlady is away, feeding him, giving him love and attention and so on. In the past I have done dog sitting for friends for weeks at a time and it is just so great for me to go out on big long walks in nature every day with a dog. I am definitely an animal person :) I am currently looking for part time work, I am therefore completely free at the moment and will still be very free even when working as it will just be a few hours per week. I am very engaging with pets, I make sure to feed them the correct food and correct amount, I know alot of people can overfeed pets and this is something I make sure not to do. If they have a set routine of meal times, play time, walking times, I am happy to stick with that routine. I am very clean and tidy, I cook alot and I always clean up. I typically do a morning toilet walk, breakfast. Longer midday walk usually 45 mins to a couple of hours. Tea around 5/6pm then an evening toilet walk. With toilet breaks in the garden throughout the day and evening. I have a fenced garden my kitchen window looks out on to with a secure gate I have two social Dogs who would be in the House with your pet.
