About: I’ve grown up around animals and have had dogs and cats throughout my life, including a Labrador and a Cocker Spaniel, both of whom I helped raise from puppies. I’ve also had cats of my own. Over the years, I’ve looked after lots of different dogs for friends and family, including Labradors, Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, Saint Bernards and Bernese Mountain Dogs, so I’m comfortable with dogs of very different sizes, ages and personalities. I’m also a volunteer dog walker for a local dog charity and usually spend part of most weekends walking and spending time with the dogs there. I absolutely love animals and genuinely feel happiest with a dog around the house. I’m not in a position to commit to having my own dog at the moment, which is why dog sitting suits me so well. I get to enjoy having animals around while giving someone else the reassurance that their dog is being looked after by someone who genuinely loves having them there. I work from home the vast majority of the time, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. Because I’m home most of the day, pets would have plenty of company and wouldn’t be left alone for long periods. For dogs, a typical routine would usually include: * A morning walk * Another walk around lunchtime * An evening walk, depending on their usual routine and energy levels * Plenty of attention, company and cuddles throughout the day At weekends, I often go out for walks and generally have a fairly relaxed schedule, so any pet staying with me would very much be included in whatever I’m doing. My home is calm, quiet, child-free, pet-free and smoke-free, so it’s a lovely relaxed environment for pets to settle into. I have a fully secure yard for toilet breaks, as well as a park just five minutes from my home, so it’s very easy to get outside whenever needed. I’m very happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including: * Feeding times * Walks and toilet breaks * Sleeping arrangements * Any little habits that help them feel comfortable and at home If they normally sleep on the sofa, in the bedroom or even on the bed, that’s absolutely fine with me if their owner is happy with it. My main aim is to make any pet staying with me feel safe, relaxed, loved and genuinely at home.

About: Having grown up with a dog and now have a cat, I have cared for many other dogs both professionally and in my family I have experience with dogs ranging from puppies to older and much larger dogs. I have been trusted to walk, play with and bathe dogs and have experience with dogs with challenging behaviours. I am a freelance photographer so I will have a lot of days free in-between shoots or weddings, I can be available most days and nights provided I have enough notice. I can come to your home where your pet is more comfortable and play with them, let them out and take them for walks around an area that they know. About: From a young age I have always been fond of all animals and as a family we took on the role as puppy walkers for Guide Dogs. One puppy we adopted unfortunately developed arthritis so could no longer carry on the training but this allowed us to keep him and we had a fantastic 13 years together. He made my childhood and although in adulthood I haven't taken a dog on myself, I am a serial dog auntie to many and offered dog walks and pet sitting to friends/family/colleagues/neighbours etc before I started extending this to services on Rover. I am a really keen walker and know some great dog friendly routes but also always keen for the excuse to find new ones. I do work but have flexibility in my schedule and can work from home too which means I am on hand to be with pets in the day. I do not have the commitments of kids or other pets myself so again can offer that flexible care in the week to meet the needs of different people and their pets.
