“Super friendly, sent photos and a daily update of the cats after each visit which I loved and was really re-assuring as one of the cats is very anxious so I don’t like leaving them. One had been a bit unwell prior to the visits and Minx knew exactly how to monitor and keep her hydrated etc. Couldn’t recommend them both enough and will be using again. Thanks again both!”

“Lucy is a fantastic sitter! She came and had a pre meeting with us first to help the first visit, which put our minds at ease. Bertie loved seeing her and playing whilst we were at work. The reports she gave us were very detailed and gave us a great insight into some of new puppies behaviours. We will be definitely be calling on her services again in the near future!”

About: Hi! I’m a huge animal lover with a lifetime of hands on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes and personalities. I currently have two dogs of my own and a cat, so caring for animals is a big part of my everyday life and something I genuinely love. I offer drop in visits and dog walking and always make sure pets feel safe, relaxed and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks and playtime or prefers a slower paced cuddle and company visit, I tailor my care to what suits them best just like with my two babies one being raised from a pup and one from a rescue, every animals needs are different and i’m here to meet them! I have experience with puppies, senior pets and nervous animals and I’m also confident administering medication, including tablets, liquid medication and injections when needed. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, especially when they need extra care and attention. Friends and family have always relied on me to care for their animals because I’m patient, reliable and genuinely treat every pet like they’re my own. I know how much peace of mind matters when you’re away from your pets and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you know they’re happy and well looked after. If you’re looking for someone friendly, experienced and genuinely passionate about animals, I’d love to meet your pets! 🐾 I have two dogs of my own, so pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I’m used to regular walks, feeding, playtime and giving pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I have a 2-year-old Lab cross who is very excitable and a 2-year-old English Bulldog X Pug with only one eye and very sedentary but lots of help needed, so I understand that every dog has different needs and personalities. I’m happy to tailor walks and visits around your pet’s routine and energy levels. I’m generally available outside my working hours and have good availability at weekends to care for your fur babies! My experience at home has taught me that every dog needs something different. My Labrador cross is energetic and loves being active, whilst my English Bulldog X Pug has only one fully developed eye and requires much more support with everyday activities. Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for dogs who need extra patience, supervision or assistance. I’m also a lifelong cat owner and have experience administering medication to pets when required. I’ll always take the time to understand your pet’s individual needs and follow their usual routine carefully, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have had dogs and cats throughout my life, including a Labrador and a Cocker Spaniel, both of whom I helped raise from puppies. I’ve also had cats of my own. Over the years, I’ve looked after lots of different dogs for friends and family, including Labradors, Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, Saint Bernards and Bernese Mountain Dogs, so I’m comfortable with dogs of very different sizes, ages and personalities. I’m also a volunteer dog walker for a local dog charity and usually spend part of most weekends walking and spending time with the dogs there. I absolutely love animals and genuinely feel happiest with a dog around the house. I’m not in a position to commit to having my own dog at the moment, which is why dog sitting suits me so well. I get to enjoy having animals around while giving someone else the reassurance that their dog is being looked after by someone who genuinely loves having them there. I work from home the vast majority of the time, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. Because I’m home most of the day, pets would have plenty of company and wouldn’t be left alone for long periods. For dogs, a typical routine would usually include: * A morning walk * Another walk around lunchtime * An evening walk, depending on their usual routine and energy levels * Plenty of attention, company and cuddles throughout the day At weekends, I often go out for walks and generally have a fairly relaxed schedule, so any pet staying with me would very much be included in whatever I’m doing. My home is calm, quiet, child-free, pet-free and smoke-free, so it’s a lovely relaxed environment for pets to settle into. I have a fully secure yard for toilet breaks, as well as a park just five minutes from my home, so it’s very easy to get outside whenever needed. I’m very happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including: * Feeding times * Walks and toilet breaks * Sleeping arrangements * Any little habits that help them feel comfortable and at home If they normally sleep on the sofa, in the bedroom or even on the bed, that’s absolutely fine with me if their owner is happy with it. My main aim is to make any pet staying with me feel safe, relaxed, loved and genuinely at home.
About: With over 20 years of dedicated pet care experience, I provide reliable, compassionate and personalised care for both dogs and cats. Whether it’s a daily walk, support or simply keeping routines consistent while you’re away, your pets will be treated like family. Weekends and evenings are free and this ensures there is ample time for dog walking or pet sitting I have a large fenced off garden with plenty of space, the house is spacious and round the corner there is a large field and woodland area for walks

About: We are a friendly, reliable couple with a genuine love of dogs, animals and the outdoors. With three dogs of our own, dogs are very much part of our everyday lives, and we understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with a much-loved member of your family. Alongside our practical experience, Shirley holds a Canine Communication Diploma, awarded with Distinction by the Centre of Excellence. This complements our hands-on experience and helps us to understand canine communication, behaviour and the individual ways dogs express themselves. We also prefer focusing on giving dogs stimulating outdoor experiences rather than simply a quick walk around the block. We love the outdoors and enjoy giving dogs opportunities to walk, explore, sniff and enjoy plenty of enrichment. We are also fortunate to have access to private fields giving us fantastic opportunities for outdoor exercise and enrichment, whilst also providing indoor and outdoor spaces to cater for a better environment for any lovable pet and their individual needs. Having two of us means there is plenty of opportunity for companionship, supervision and individual attention. We understand that every dog is different — from energetic adventurers to older dogs who simply enjoy a gentle wander and plenty of affection — and we adapt our approach accordingly. Above all, we want you to be able to leave your dog with us knowing they will be treated with kindness, patience and respect. We don't just look after dogs — we want them to genuinely enjoy their time with us. 🐾 Caring for dogs fits naturally into our everyday life. As mentioned we have three dogs of our own, so walks, feeding, play, exercise and companionship are already part of our normal daily routine, along with anything else our beloved pets throw at us. We both enjoy being outdoors and can structure our days around the dogs in our care rather than trying to fit them into a busy schedule. Having two of us also means we can share responsibilities and give each dog plenty of individual attention, supervision and Whether your dog enjoys a good outdoor adventure or a quieter routine with shorter walks and plenty of company, we are happy to adapt our day to suit them. Safety and trust are extremely important to us. We understand that leaving your dog with somebody new can be worrying, so we want owners to feel completely comfortable and confident about the care their pet will receive. We have access to private fields with limitrd and no access, providing a better oppurtunity and environment for exercise, enrichment away from public spaces. We are also developing dedicated indoor and outdoor areas so dogs can have appropriate spaces for activity, rest and relaxation. We will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, walking, leads, routines, interaction with other dogs and any individual requirements. We never assume that because something is suitable for one dog it will be suitable for another. As we have dogs ourselves, introductions and compatibility are important to us. We want every dog in our care — including our own — to feel safe and comfortable. We are happy to discuss this fully and arrange an introduction before a stay where appropriate. We will provide responsible supervision, plenty of attention and a calm, caring environment, with your dog's welfare always coming first.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Burnley
Nikki took wonderful care of my cat while I was away. She sent regular photos and updates, which gave me real peace of mind and let me see how well my cat was doing. It was clear my cat was happy and well looked after, with daily grooming. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Nikki again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Amy was very friendly when she came to see us before the holiday and got to know about Bella and her needs. I knew she would be in good hands, Amy sent photos and videos regularly, which was reassuring. I came home to a well looked after Bella. I would be happy to have Amy look after her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
