Lifetime pet owner and experienced sitter :)
In addition to the last 5 years of pet-sitting, I grew up with 6 cats, and multiple guinea-pigs, rats & gerbils from a young age, so have plenty of personal experience. I am very aware of their varying temperaments, so although I'd love to cuddle all of them, I understand that some (cats especially!) prefer to just sit nearby in a calm environment. I've babysat for young kittens and puppies who zoom around the house all day, as well as snoozy 17 yr-olds who just want to sleep 23 hours a day. I'm completely comfortable with either, and since most of my pets (and many of the pets I've sat for) have been rescues, I'll happily adapt to whatever level of attention they need. I've looked after a fair few dogs over the years of all shapes and sizes, from Pomeranian to Great Pyrenees! I love their energy, and I'm used to all kinds of temperaments and needs. On rarer occasions I've looked after rabbits, hamsters, and even a chameleon & a snake, but I must say I do prefer the animals you can pet! I've stayed in many a home-away-from-home on Airbnb, so know how to be respectful of others' spaces. Anything else you want to know about me that will make you feel more comfortable, just let me know :) My partner often attends sits with me, and has been for the past 2 years. He's also a great animal lover, and grew up with 3 dogs, so between us we have a wealth of experience and lots of energy for all the critters we meet. Having said this, I know some people prefer to have just one person staying in their home, so I will always check in advance if the owner is comfortable with my partner also being there.

I’ve just come home to a very happy cat! Florence looked after our Maggie so well, and sent lots of updates and photos while we were away so I wasn’t worried about how she was while we were away. Our cat has medical needs, and Florence has met them exactly as I would’ve. Couldn’t be more grateful!
Florence is amazing – caring, responsible, and took fantastic care of our cats. She even helped us in an emergency when our flight was delayed, which we are incredibly grateful for. You can fully trust her ❤️

Florence and Harry were absolutely wonderful. They sent us pictures of our fur babies when they visited, which we loved. Everything was perfect! They made it so easy and really aappreciated their care

I'm currently taking a career break to do some study and pet-sitting full time, so will have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they need! My boyfriend (also on Rover) often attends the sits with me too as he works from home :)

Safety, trust & environment
If in your home, I'll adapt to whatever set up works for you, and if in our home, we're not fussy about hairs getting everywhere (my partner and I are both lifetime cat & dog owners) so no furniture or room is off limits - unless of course you have rules at home that you would like me to uphold (no sleeping on the bed e.g.). The house is 3 storeys with lots of windows and ledges to sit on so any cats will have a great time! We're also located just around the corner from some lovely huge parks, so plenty of dog-walking space on our doorstep.

A typical day
I love spending time with the pets I care for - whether they have favourite toys or going on runs or just ruffling them on the sofa - I can't get enough of them! My partner is the same, my camera roll is filled with videos of him sprinting around fields and parks with all the pups :)
