It was clear that our pooch was treated just as we would at home and was relaxed and happy upon our return. We had updates letting us know that she had settled well and also photographs. She was at ease with them and enjoyed all her walks and the swim in the river! She had lots of cuddles and was really well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend them and we will definitely be using their services again.”

About: I am a cat mum of two much-loved cats, Ralph and Bob, so I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for cats with patience, respect, and attention to their individual personalities. I’m confident handling day to day cat care including feeding, litter trays, play, and giving space when needed. I know that every cat is different, and I always take a calm, gentle approach to help them feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I would care for any cat as I do my own, making sure they are settled, secure, and well looked after.

“Alison took care of my cat Rory for 2 days over Christmas, she sent me regular updates and photos which was very reassuring. I would definitely ask Alison to looks after Rory again, she is reliable, caring and trustworthy 😊”

We received daily updates and pictures throughout our time away. Will definitely be using Ellie again for our next visit! Cannot recommend her enough!”

About: You may notice a gap in our recent reviews, we took a short break for personal reasons, but we are so excited to be back! We truly love every 'furry' guest we host and can’t wait to meet yours. I currently work a hybrid schedule, so I am unable to accept dogs with severe separation anxiety. However, I am a great fit for pups who are comfortable being home for up to 4.5 hours (half a workday). For the other half of the day, I work from home and your little one will have my full attention! Every dog has a unique personality. The more you share about their specific needs and quirks, the better we can ensure they have a wonderful 'staycation' while you’re away. Please reach out with any questions! We know leaving your dog can be stressful for both of you. Your pet's well-being is our top priority. A meet and greet is essential so we can assess compatibility and how quickly your dog settles into a new environment. If everything goes well, we recommend a trial stay. We want to ensure your dog is happy and relaxed while you're away. While we'd love to care for every dog, we're unable to accept pets with separation anxiety or those who cannot be left alone, as our setup doesn't allow for 24/7 home care. However, you can be confident that your dog will receive lots of love and attention during their stay with us! For the garden: "We have a private, fenced-in garden in the front and a tiered garden in the back, offering your dog safe spaces to explore and relax." For the canal walks: "I'm familiar with some scenic canal paths perfect for calm walks and playtime. These offer a peaceful alternative to busier city areas."
“Caysey was perfectly professional and provided excellent care during her drop-ins for our cat. We loved seeing the photos she sent for peace of mind, and she was consistent in her timings. Definitely recommend Caysey!”

About: My friends have a British Shorthair that I look after semi regularly for long periods. I'm lucky to have bonded with him as a kitten because he's wary of most people. I put in the work with Ravel - lots of play!
“Emma was absolutely fantastic with my cat Puma, and she dropped in once a day at our place. I got lots of gorgeous pictures sent through over the four days, and Emma also came for a meet and greet beforehand. You can tell she just has a way with animals as Puma absolutely loved her straight away! 100% would recommend Emma :)”

“Stefanias communication was excellent as always. Checking there were no changes for Bella & Blue, sending videos, photos & updates. She genuinely cares & this is so reassuring when trusting someone with your babies. Highly recommend!”

About: Although we didn't own a cat growing up, I spent a lot of time at work with my mum at an animal care centre where I learnt all the fundamentals of caring for animals as well as basic animal first aid training. Once I left home, I got a cat of my own who we call Nero. He's awesome, he enjoys going out and playing with his mates just as much as he loves coming home for cuddles. Training him was surprisingly super easy, a lot easier than training a puppy. Litter tray training was a breeze and once we started letting him out, his recall was brilliant.

“Lily was great at looking after our pup. She was communicative, took him on walks, made sure he got on with the other dog and gave him plenty of attention and rest. Thank you!”

“Communication with Daniel was excellent. He asked for me to message when leaving with a ETA. When I arrived he was on the pavement to meet me. Hughie is a big rescue dog who can be reactive and nervous. Once we got Hughie out of the car Daniel set off straight on a walk to settle him and give him a positive experience. Hughie looked back a couple of times but walked along next to Daniel happily. Daniel had no problems managing Hughie and I will be happily booking again. In fact he is going for a sleepover over in August”

“Finnan had a great time once again with Kate and Dottie. It really is a huge weight off knowing that he’s in good hands and has a lovely friend to play with whilst we’re not around. Kate is excellent at keeping us informed with pictures and messages during his stay to let us know he’s doing well and having fun. Highly recommended”

“This was so last minute and Helena responded instantly and saved me from missing a really important meeting! I was really impressed with how she kept in contact with me, giving updates and lots of pictures. She made me so comfortable throughout the process and Rocco didn’t want to leave at the end! Professional, attentive and so polite. Great experience, thank you!”

“Diesel absolutely loves going to Magda’s he gets exited when he knows he’s going and it’s like his second home while he is there and they treat him so well and they send me loads of photos while he is on his walks I can’t recommend Magda and her family enough”

“We left our dog with a dogsitter for the first time, and I was quite worried — I didn’t know how he would behave, whether he might be aggressive, or miss us too much. But everything went perfectly. I received several messages with updates about how he was doing, and I always knew I could reach out and get a quick reply. I’m very grateful to Ance — she is truly caring and attentive, both with animals and their owners. Highly recommended!”

About: We are a dog-loving family with over 40 years of experience caring for pets, and opening our home as pet sitters felt like the perfect way to share that passion. Dogs have always been part of our lives, and we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. At home we have two friendly dogs of our own – a gentle old beagle and a playful Boston terrier who both enjoy meeting new friends. However, we completely understand that some dogs prefer their own space, so we are able to separate dogs if needed to make sure every pet feels comfortable and relaxed. Our home has a secure enclosed garden for safe playtime, and we’re lucky to have great walking routes right on our doorstep, perfect for daily adventures. We aim to provide a calm, caring home-from-home environment where your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. 🐶 We can offer home boarding where your pet can stay with us and will be treated like our our own. Walks, plays, sofa cuddles. Upto 2x dogs. We can seprate our dogs if needed, they can have there own bed or crate, whatever they need. There will always be at least 1 adult around 24/7 when your pet stays with us. We are a family of 3 humans and 2 dogs, our son is well aware that every dog has different needs and has been around lots of dogs, horses, sheep and helped bottle feed puppies from birth. He can also give your dog space if that's what they need. Fully secured garden for toilet breaks, but most of the time we can walk down to the river in 5 mins from our house, explore the woods or go upto the moors. At weekends your pets will have full time care from At least 1 adult. During week we work from home but go walks 2 to 3 times a day and have a safe enclosed garden option at all times I have a fenced garden, we have a old beagle that keeps to himself and a playful Boston terrier if your dog wants to play. Or we can keep them seprate and have 1 on 1 time with your pet

“Susan and Hans were both very friendly with both me and my dog Lola, who seemed to have a great day with them in their house. Communication was quick and easy, and they were relaxed about drop off/pick up times etc. They were clearly dog lovers and their house seemed well set up for dogs. We will be using their service again in the near future for sure! Thanks to you both.”

About: As lifelong dog owners, caring for dogs has always been a natural and rewarding part of our lives. We have experience providing a loving, safe, and attentive environment, understanding the importance of routine, exercise, and companionship for each individual dog. We are at home full-time, so there will always be someone present to give your dog the care and attention they deserve. Our two boys also adore dogs and are gentle, caring, and used to being around them. After recently losing our own beloved pet, we would love to open our home to care for other dogs while their owners are away, offering them the same affection, comfort, and reliability that we always gave our own. My husband Ryan will be providing care to your dogs also. I’m currently working part time but have lots of time to play and walk with your dogs there’s always someone available the house is not left unattended for long. My husband Ryan will also be caring for your dogs so they will have plenty of love. We have a fenced garden with a lock on the gate so your dog would feel secure and safe, they could use our home as if it was their own home and would be allowed on furniture and treat it as their own. We can also crate them if you would prefer
About: I have owned dogs for most of my life, very recently getting my own puppy who is now 4 months old. I understand the importance of providing not only exercise but also companionship and care. I’m quite flexible with plenty of time to look after your pups! With availability for boarding, walks, drop ins and any other pet services you need. I also have my own vehicle. I have a good sized fenced off back garden with a friendly fur baby of my own to keep your fur baby company, with lots of doggy toys to keep entertained. I also have a crate can easily crate your dog if needed.

I provide a safe, caring, and reliable service tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I work from home, which means dogs in my care enjoy plenty of companionship, supervision, cuddles, and playtime throughout the day. My routine includes morning walks to start the day, lunchtime walks and toilet breaks, and longer evening walks to help burn off energy and keep dogs happy and fulfilled. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful woodland trails, open parks, and football fields, giving dogs a variety of safe and stimulating environments to explore. I maintain a clean, calm, and dog-friendly home and am experienced with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. Whether your dog loves to play, explore outdoors, socialise, or simply curl up for a cuddle, I provide a safe and caring environment tailored to their needs.
“Pico's first experience of daycare, and quite apparent that he loved every minute with Sandy. Location is absolutely brilliant, with play field and traffic-free towpath walks a short hop away.”

About: Hi, I’m Claire I only care for one dog at a time, so your dog will be the only guest in a calm, relaxed home. I work best with dogs that are settled in a normal home routine, happy to snooze, potter around the house, enjoy their walks, and relax afterwards. My aim is to give them a peaceful stay where they feel secure rather than overstimulated. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of many breeds over the years and understand how important consistency is. I will follow your pet’s usual routine closely so they can settle quickly and feel comfortable. I’m fully insured and qualified in Pet First Aid, and I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy and settled. To keep the environment calm for all pets in my care, I’m best suited to animals that: • are house trained • can be left briefly without distress • sleep through the night • are comfortable in a home setting If that sounds like your pet, I’d love to hear from you and learn their usual routine and favourite things. Qualifications: Pet Care Certificate Professional Pet Sitting Diploma Advanced Pet First Aid I work from home full time and walk three times a day; usually around 8am, 1pm and 6pm, however this can be changed to suit. I live in an apartment with plenty of space, however there are a few dogs in the building which yours is likely to meet so needs to be fine with them. My building is secure with an underfloor car park so when going in the car, your pet won’t leave the building until they’re belted in. I can adapt my place to suite your pet’s needs and they will be allowed in any room. I can also stick to any rules you may already have for them.

“Having met with Daniel on a meet and greet locally, it was clear he was the best match for Gin. He is professional, knowledgable and exactly what I am looking for. Today he walked Gin while I was working, Gin is happy, chilled and calm on my return and really pleased to see me! Thank you Daniel. Will be booking again soon”

About: We had dogs and birds as children. We have had cats throughout our married life. Unfortunately we both work full time and cannot offer the care and love needed for a dog at this moment in our life. The children are so desperate for a dog and love any sort of animal. We have a 13 year old son and 9 year old daughter. I am a headteacher. I work full time but have 13 weeks holiday plus weekends with 2 very keen children and a husband, Andy, who love animals and will help to look after them. We currently have no pets of our own other than fish. We love to take care of animals. We have a fenced back garden with a huge moor, woods and park areas on our doorstep. We love walking in the countryside.
About: I’ve been looking after my family’s, friend’s and own dogs for over five years now. I have a beautiful 4 year old black Labrador called Harry who I have had since he was a puppy and trained him well. He is a very spoiled pampered pooch and I treat all dogs in my care the same. I have experience looking after dogs of all shapes and sizes from Frenchies and Beagles to German Pointers and young puppies. We walk for miles each day and there are some beautiful walks on my door step. But Harry also very much enjoys sleeping and lazy days so we can cater to your dog’s needs. I work from home most days. I have to go into the office once or twice a week but I could not go in if your dog isn’t happy being left alone (with Harry) for a few hours. Harry isn’t neutered - he is very soft and friendly and gets on with all dogs but I would do a meet and greet before agreeing to any boarding or walking as his safety and wellbeing is my priority. Dogs are welcome on the furniture but I am also happy to keep them off if that’s what you would prefer. I have an enclosed front garden but only let the dogs out with my supervision. I have experience giving medication to my own dog and am happy to do whatever is best for your dog. I love taking pictures of my dog and his doggo friends so you can get all the pupdates you would like 🤳🐾💜 Any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch :) I work from home most days and am happy to provide as much or little exercise for your dog as needed - Harry loves long walks but also loves lazy days I have my Labrador Harry to keep your dog company, we have a fenced garden out front but the back garden is currently going through a revamp.

About: From a young age I have always been fond of all animals and as a family we took on the role as puppy walkers for Guide Dogs. One puppy we adopted unfortunately developed arthritis so could no longer carry on the training but this allowed us to keep him and we had a fantastic 13 years together. He made my childhood and although in adulthood I haven't taken a dog on myself, I am a serial dog auntie to many and offered dog walks and pet sitting to friends/family/colleagues/neighbours etc before I started extending this to services on Rover. I am a really keen walker and know some great dog friendly routes but also always keen for the excuse to find new ones. I do work but have flexibility in my schedule and can work from home too which means I am on hand to be with pets in the day. I do not have the commitments of kids or other pets myself so again can offer that flexible care in the week to meet the needs of different people and their pets. I offer hands on care to ensure the safety and comfort and any pet I am responsible for. I want owners to feel assured their beloved animals are in safe hands. I am flexible to follow the wishes of owners to meet the individual needs of their pets, (however quirky they may be).

About: Hello, my name is Jade. I am 19 years old and a massive animal enthusiast! I absolutely love them, whether they are small and shy or big and boisterous. Throughout my life i have grown up with an assortment of pets; living with and taking care of dogs, cats, smaller animals, IE: Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and even birds. I absolutely adore my fluffy friends that I have met and put my all into ensuring they are as happy as possible. Two years ago I worked in a Boarding Kennel that included a cattery and mini home for rodents. Throughout my work I walked them, cleaned them, fed them and most importantly shared my love. Whether your dog prefers a slow pace or a small jog or some engaging brain games, i can cater to their separate personalities as no pet deserves to be left out. 🐕☀️ I am free nearly every day of the week as i am not working as of now, so I'll have plenty of time to take care of your pets! My working hours are from 11AM till 6PM. I have six cats and a rabbit that I take care of at home. They are accustomed to their own routine and i ensure the environment is always clean and stress free for all animals. Along with this there are plenty of toys and stimulating exercises that they can use to play and bond.

About: Caring for dogs truly comes from the heart for me. I’m calm, patient, and naturally collected, helping dogs feel safe and relaxed in my home. I care for all temperaments, including those who may be anxious or struggle socially. For dogs who need their own space, Narla has a separate area upstairs where she can be comfortable and away from other dogs if needed. Your dog will always be treated like family in a safe, loving environment. 💛 work part-time evenings; however, your dog will never be left alone. When I’m working nights as I am home wokrokg, your dog will always have company, affection, and a calm, safe environment. I have a range of dog enrichment, training tools and grooming for all puppy and dog needs. I’m lucky to have a large, fully enclosed outdoor space where dogs can safely play, explore, and roam freely. It gives them plenty of room to stretch their legs in a secure environment. Just above the house, there’s also a huge open field with beautiful walking routes, perfect for longer walks, sniffing adventures, and burning off energy. There is also access to crates for dogs who are crate-trained or prefer having their own safe, cosy space to relax. My aim is to provide a home-from-home environment where every dog feels comfortable, secure, and happy. 🐶💛

Our lovely dog Poppy (a cross Spaniel/Beagle/Terrier) loves the company of other dogs, which is part of the reason we have signed up to care for other dogs. We are really comfortable with other pets, have a very dog friendly home, where they will be treat like our own and kept safe, warm and loved for as long as they are here. We recently welcomed a lovely baby boy into the world, so please note that any dogs we care for MUST be happy and comfortable around children and babies. I (Emily) work from home flexibly, and currently walk our own dog 3 times a day between us. We have an active lifestyle and love being at home. With us already having a dog of our own, we spend most weekends walking and taking her to the pub! We have a fenced, sizeable back garden which is perfect for your dog. We also have room for your dog to be kept separately from our own at night, whether that be on our sofa or in his/her own crate. We are really flexible and happy to accommodate your pets needs whilst staying with us. We live across the road from a big playing area where there are plenty of dog walkers, and have a park and woods on our doorstep too. Our dog walks off the lead, but we’re happy to keep yours on a lead, or off - whatever you are comfortable with.
About: I've grown up with animals, especially dogs. Whether it was my grandparents' German Shepherd or my own Jack Russell, I have an affinity with animals. I'm currently studying part-time and work part-time so there's a bit of flexibility for dog walking but it depends on my shift pattern. I'm an early riser, so morning walks are absolutely fine! I work 3 days a week in Lindley Huddersfield – pet sitting would be suitable if on certain days they can be left alone. Unfortunately I can't care for pets in my own home. Not because I don't want to but it's a rented property in a listed building.
“I recently had Emma walk my furbabies while I was away on holiday, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service she provided. Not only did she ensure that my pets were well taken care of, but she also went above and beyond by sending me regular updates and adorable photos of them during her visits. It was such a relief to know that my pets were in good hands and receiving the love and attention they needed while I was away. Emma's professionalism, reliability, and genuine care for animals truly shine through in her work. I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a trustworthy and compassionate pet caregiver. Thank you, Emma, for giving me peace of mind and for taking such great care of my furbabies!”

About: I love to stay active, so walks and having a good old play are as exciting for me as they are for your dog! I’ve looked after and boarded dogs of many breeds and sizes, from puppies to senior dogs. I understand their differing needs and energy levels, but will also make sure I get to know your pup’s individual needs. I’ve also grown up with cats and rodents and offer care for cats and small animals too. I work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays, so can usually offer boarding and daycare on these days. I can fit walks into most days around my work as a therapist and yoga teacher. I offer boarding on days I am available, including weekends. Just a heads up that I am out of the house on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during the day for 5-6 hours. I am offering daycare and boarding in my home, which is a flat which has stairs to enter. If smaller dogs aren’t great with stairs then I can carry them, but may not be able to take larger dogs who can’t do stairs. Get in touch if you’re not sure!
About: My parents have always owned dogs since I was about 10 which I have always helped to look after. Lover of dogs so would love to help you with yours. Working from home with my partner who works shifts so together we can work around most timings. Weekends are even more free so let us know what you need and happy to help. We have a fenced yard with a garden, backing onto a field leading to the woods by the golf course which has great walking available.
About: I have had both cats and dogs since I was born. I have had a range of different breed dogs including Labradors as well as an English Bull Terrier. I know how to train dogs and care for dogs as I have 20 years of 'unprofessional' experience, you could say. I also have walked dogs through apps such as Borrow My Doggy and have had a successful experience there. I have previously dog sited friends dogs as well as other family member dogs. I have also cared for others cats. I also am currently trying to improve my photography skills and have taken some lovely photos of my pets as well as my friends and families, so can snap some lovely shots of your animals, can't promise top quality :) I'm currently on my masters placement year. I am in work 3 days a work but work from home most days. I am looking to earn some money while also spending time with animals, which I love! I will look to follow your helpful tips on what’s best for your pets. This will include best toys, food spots and best cuddle spots!

About: Reliable local support for busy pet owners needing flexible walks or drop-in visits. Responsive communication, calm handling, and convenient availability for same-day and next-day bookings. Pet care fits naturally around my flexible working schedule, which allows me to offer reliable walks and drop-in visits throughout the week, including short-notice bookings where possible. I enjoy being active and getting out for walks locally, so pet care is something I genuinely enjoy alongside my regular work rather than treating it as a rushed full-time schedule. I mainly offer walks and drop-in visits in the owner’s home, helping pets stay comfortable in their usual environment and routine. During visits I can provide feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship, medication if required, and regular updates with photos for peace of mind. I always aim to keep things calm, consistent, and stress-free for both pets and owners.
About: As a pet owner myself I understand the desire to find a loving, trustworthy home for our pets to stay in. I have used rover myself to seek boarders for our family dog Jett and had such a wonderful experience. Our home consists of myself, my husband Sam, our two very sensible animal loving children who are 9 & 8, our 3 year old cocker spaniel Jett and Jackson the cat. As a family we spend most of our time on a weekend outdoors exploring. We are fortunate to live in an area with some beautiful walks right on our doorstep We have a large garden which is fully secured and dogs will have unlimited access to this during the daytime throughout their stay. Dogs will be treated like they are part of the family during their stay with us. We are happy to stick to certain routines you may have to put your dog at ease whilst they stay with us. **Dogs must be okay with children and other dogs** we do also have a family cat, the cat has full run of upstairs and the dog full run of downstairs so they both have their own safe spaces. I currently work part time from home 2 days a week so I have plenty of free time to enjoy spending time with your pup. We have a large fenced off garden where your dog will be free to roam as they please during their time with us. It's large enough for a good game of fetch or hide and seek for those more active dogs who need plenty of stimulation. Likewise we have plenty of cosy spaces to cuddle up for those who enjoy abit more down time. I'm happy to stick to your usual routines at home so if your dog is crate trained we can continue this during their stay, likewise if your dog needs other comforts to help them feel happy and secure I can facilitate this.

“Daphne had an absolutely fantastic time with Sandy. She can be a little shy at first with new people and this was the first time I had left her for longer than a day but I was reassured by the plenty of updates, pics and videos I received of her little adventures. It was nice to see her being so settled and Sandy really went the extra mile with her, keeping her entertained and letting her be her crazy self! One happy pooch! Thank you Sandy x”

“I was quite nervous about leaving Elga for the first time, especially as she’s blind and needs a little extra care and attention. However, from the moment I met Jayne I felt reassured that she was going to be in safe hands. During my time away, I was kept regularly updated on how Elga was getting on, which really helped me relax and enjoy my holiday. The updates and photos showed just how comfortable and happy she was, it was clear she was being well looked after and loved. I’m so grateful for the care and patience Jayne and her family showed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable dog sitter, and I’ll definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you so much for looking after Elga so well! 🐾”
