About: I have looked after several friend and family members’ dogs and cats whilst they have gone away on holiday, either staying in their home or dropping in for visits. For the last 4 years I have volunteered at an animal assisted intervention organisation, which takes dogs and small animals to schools and hospitals for outreach visits. This involves assessing the animals body language, responding to their cues and ensuring they are relaxed and comfortable. I believe this would be a vital skill for looking after your pet. When I lived in Edinburgh, I worked with a charity that volunteers to walk people’s dogs who find it difficult to get out and keep their dog exercised. I love hiking, getting out in nature and seeing dogs enjoy the outdoors too. I volunteer on a Monday and Friday, for a full or half day depending on the week, however I have lunch free. Outreaches finish at 4 at the latest, so I would be available after this to feed, exercise or play with your pet, and stay overnight if needed. On other days, my commitments are small and take an hour or two out of my day at most. I am flexible - I can stay in your home full time, drop by for shorter periods, and/or stay overnight. Just detail what best suits you and I will endeavour to meet your pet’s needs.
“I couldn't be happier with the care provided for my two cats. From the very beginning, Laura was reliable, professional, and clearly love animals. Laura kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I returned, and it was obvious they had received plenty of attention and affection. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my furry babies Laura xx”

“Josephine took great care of our puppy, Beef, during his 6-hour day visit. Communication was really good throughout, and she kept us well informed, which gave us peace of mind. She took everything we wanted into consideration and made sure Beef was well looked after. When we picked him up, he was fast asleep and seemed really happy once awake, which is always a good sign that he's had a lovely day. We'd definitely be happy to use Josephine again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“Thank you so much, Rosemary! Babba is a tricky, nervous cat and she has been really well cared for. I did think I wouldn’t be able to go away now I have her but it’s been lovely to have a nice break knowing she was so well cared for! You did a super, reliable job and even navigated my cat’s poor litter tray management… 🫣 I am really grateful and shall be in touch again soon… I’m already looking at booking my next short break! Many many thanks from me and Babba, Janine 🙏☺️”

“Hannah is absolutely FANTASTIC!! She stepped up when I needed someone to look after my dog at short notice and is so reassuring and knowledgeable. Lolly can be nervous with new people but Hannah was great at working with Lolly's pace. She really put me and Lolly at ease and I will absolutely be booking her again! Highly recommend if you've also got a shy or anxious dog, she's amazing.”

About: What sets me apart is my formal education in zoology combined with hands-on experience in the animal sector. I understand animal behavior, body language, and welfare on a deeper level than the average sitter, allowing me to tailor care to each dog’s individual needs. I’m attentive, knowledgeable, and calm in a variety of situations—whether that’s caring for energetic puppies, senior dogs, or pets that need a little extra patience and understanding. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for and engaging with your dog throughout the day. Attentive, hands-on care for your beloved pet. I aim to create a safe, calm, and trusting environment where dogs can feel relaxed and secure (your dog’s home away from home). My background in zoology and animal care means I’m confident reading behaviour, managing routines, and prioritising welfare at all times. I follow care instructions closely, maintain consistent boundaries, and always put your dog’s safety and comfort first, treating them with the same care and respect I would my own.
About: I have cared for dogs all my adult life, from puppies to senior dogs. I spend my free time hiking and walking in the Peak District and love to bring our family dog along. I have been entrusted to walk and look after many friends dogs. We are really enjoying meeting new furry friends through Rover. I am currently working a 9-5 and am free to care for pets all weekend. Though the week i can house sit in the local area and walk dogs twice a day whilst providing company and care at night. If local I can also provide toilet break and walks through the day. Over weekend I can spend all day and night with pets. Whilst house sitting, I will provide care and comfort for your pet. This will include sticking to their schedule of eating, toilet breaks and playing. I can allow pets into fenced gardens and also go on multiple walks a day.

“Paige has been an absolute superstar with Cheddar and Skittle. The fact that they warmed to her so quickly is a testament to her kind and gentle nature, she truly understood their personalities and tended to their individual needs. We didn’t worry about them once and her detailed pet cards were both a source of entertainment and a much needed source of relief being away from our pets! I can’t recommend her highly enough. Thankyou for everything Paige! Xx”

“First time leaving our cat alone for a long weekend. Torrie was amazing, great with the cat (as I'm sure she is with any and every animal). Great with the updates and overall a very very trouble free and care free weekend. Will 100% be in touch with Torrie when we need her next. Thanks Torrie.”

“Leanne was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond, looking after ours cats Patch and Pepper. Even winning over the shy and untrusting Pepper. Thank you for looking after our babies. We would not hesitate to recommend or use Leanne again. Thank you Leanne.🙂”

“I'm very happy Megan was looking after our two boys. She gives them lots of cuddles and treats, and took some very cute pictures of them. Send us a full report on her visits so we know exactly what is going on. By taking good care of them, she made our holiday less stressful, so we shouldn't worry much about our kitties :)”

“Antonio is supper efficient very friendly and kept in contact with us daily sending pictures and comments of our cat cotton. All well when we returned home and would definitely highly recommend and use again. Thank you Antonio 👍”

“This is the second time I’ve booked with Sarah to look after my cat while I’ve been away, and I will continue to do so in the future. Sarah is very thorough in going through what Ziva needed while I was away, sent regular updates and photos, and gave Ziva lots of attention and care while I was away. I really recommend Sarah as a cat sitter”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors who need extra patience and support. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic medications, leash training and reinforcing good manners through positive reinforcement. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and body language, making sure they feel safe, understood, and loved. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I aim to keep pets relaxed and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits around my weekly college schedule, which I attend four days a week, plus one day of work experience at a doggy daycare. I’m used to structured routines and being around animals every day. Outside of those hours, I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as weekends. My experience at a busy daycare has made me confident managing different personalities, keeping pets safe, and giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection whenever I’m with them. I’m also happy to be contacted about caring for other types of pets, including reptiles and small animals. Safety is always my top priority. I’ve done work experience in a veterinary clinic for 4 years, so I’m very comfortable around animals of all temperaments and have a good understanding of their health and behavior. I’m able to notice early signs of stress or illness and handle situations calmly if anything seems off. When I’m in your home, I’m respectful of your space and stick to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable. I make sure doors are secure, double-check leashes and harnesses, and keep a close eye on pets during outdoor time. I’m careful about unsafe foods or objects and always aim to keep things calm and clean. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.

Rosemary provided excellent care for our cat Myles. He doesn’t like to be alone and gets stressed when we are away for a long time. Rosemary made sure to spend some extra time with him to calm him down. Excellent communication from the start. Rosemary sent us loads of photos to show how he is doing.

So pleased we found Camilla to look after Graham while we were away. Graham and the house has been so well looked after and he seems very happy. I really appreciated the updates and photos as it helps put our mind at rest while we're away. Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much ✨✨✨✨✨

Meng is absolutely wonderful. She came a few days days to look after my cat and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She is always kind, gentle and genuinely caring, and she truly goes the extra mile. She is incredibly thoughtful and attentive to details, and that really shows in the way she cares for animals. My cat is very shy and easily scared, yet he took to Meng straight away and clearly felt safe with her which, to me, says everything about the kind of person she is. She has looked after him a few times before, and I wouldn’t doubt to hire her again. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. I would not hesitate to recommend Meng to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, warm and truly lovely xx
