“We had a wonderful experience with PUI YAN (IRIS) looking after our two cats, Chelsea and Felix. She took great care of them while we were away, making sure they were well fed, comfortable, and given plenty of attention. She kept us updated with messages, lots of videos and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear she genuinely cared about our cats and respected their different personalities. We came home to two happy, relaxed cats, and everything was just as we left it. We would happily recommend PUI YAN Y to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Chelsea and Felix!”

About: Since 2018 myself and my family opened our home to dog sitting. I have done long and short stays including just for the day as well as dog walking too. I have a flexible hybrid work schedule, which allows me to balance time between home and the office. On days I work from home, I’m available for pet care throughout the day, including walks, feeding, and companionship. My schedule also allows me to plan ahead, so I can commit to regular visits or stays and ensure pets get consistent, reliable care during the week and on weekends. I provide care in the pet owner’s home, where pets feel most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, walk schedules, and any specific care needs. I make sure pets have plenty of attention, exercise, and a calm, safe atmosphere while maintaining the home respectfully. I’m also attentive to any changes in behaviour or health and will keep owners updated regularly for peace of mind. I also have experience handling a variety of dogs on the lead and am confident managing different behaviours during walks. I understand how to approach situations where a dog may feel nervous or unsure, and I always prioritise their comfort and safety while helping them feel at ease.

About: As a dedicated animal lover and cat parent of 10 years, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy looking after your pets while you’re away. I have extensive experience caring for cats of all ages, from kittens to senior cats, and I am comfortable working with a range of personalities, from confident and social cats to those who are more shy or anxious. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, providing enrichment, and ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I have also cared for my family-in-law’s dogs and am comfortable providing companionship, feeding, walks, and general care. Animal welfare is very important to me and I am committed to ensuring every pet in my care is happy, healthy, and well looked after. I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect, and I aim to give parents peace of mind while they are away. My main availability is on weekends, when I am free throughout the day on both Saturdays and Sundays. I also have every other Friday off and may be available for pet care on those days. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your needs, and I’ll do my best to accommodate them. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their established routine as closely as possible to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I understand that every animal has different needs, so I take the time to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, fresh water, medication, playtime, exercise, and general care. For cats, I can provide feeding, litter tray cleaning, companionship, play sessions, and general care as requested. For dogs, I can provide feeding, companionship, walks, and general care as requested. During every visit, I pay close attention to the pet’s wellbeing and behaviour and will keep parents updated for peace of mind while they are away. As I have cats of my own, I currently focus on providing care in their home rather than boarding pets in my own home.
“Olivia was fantastic with our dog Layla. She came to meet Layla beforehand, which we really appreciated. She then looked after Layla in our home and was reliable throughout, with great communication. We would happily recommend Olivia and would definitely book her again.”

About: I've taken care of cats and dogs all my life. I used to own both at the same time even. It has been a while since I've had a feline as company, I do believe they are better than dogs haha (no offense towards doggies). I'm sure that me and your best friend will spend an amazing time together and I'll do my best for them to have the calmest stay. I'm currently working hybrid, so I'll have to be in the office on Tuesdays on Wednesdays. Other than that, I'm always at home I will always make sure to feed your best friend on time, have some play time together with hidden treats and toys and respect their restful moments.

About: I have been caring for animals my whole life and currently own three dogs myself, including one who requires extra attention and special care. I also previously owned a macaw — one of the most intelligent and demanding birds to keep — which taught me a great deal about patience, routine and reading animal behaviour. I walk dogs every morning, afternoon and evening and am available throughout the day, so I can always accommodate your dog's schedule and needs. I work from home with flexible hours, which means I can give your dog proper time and attention — not just a rushed walk. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I offer morning, midday, afternoon and evening walks to suit your dog's routine. I am home-based and available throughout the day, so I can be flexible around your schedule. Before our first walk, I always arrange a free meet and greet so your dog can get comfortable with me in a relaxed setting. During every walk, I send photo updates so you can see exactly how your dog is doing. After each visit I provide a detailed report card through the app. Your dog's safety is my top priority. I have a secure and calm home environment, and I never leave dogs unattended. I am experienced with dogs of all temperaments, including those with special needs, and I always take time to understand each dog's individual personality before and during every visit. I do not take on more dogs than I can properly care for — quality of care always comes before quantity. You will always receive photo updates and a full report after every walk or visit so you know your dog is happy and safe.
About: My family has always had dogs and I loved growing up with a dog in the home. My husband and I now have a crazy cocker spaniel called Lola. We would all love to welcome more dogs into our home. We only accept crate trained dogs due to us having a house cat. Dogs will need to sleep in a crate overnight but otherwise will be able to freely go around the house and outside. Both my husband and I work from home with flexible working hours. We walk our spaniel a couple of times a day. Dogs would always have access to the garden. Our garden is enclosed and our dog Lola is very friendly and welcoming. Lola is crate trained and we have space for an additional crate.

About: Experience of fostering a Chow Chow of old age for two years before he sadly passed away. Mum Anita lives with us and has experience housesitting 4 different dogs for over two weeks each time. Partner Angie is a dog enthusiast, and had adopted and cared for two dogs in the past. I work hybrid while my partner works fully remote, meaning that we offer lots of flexibility. We are happy to help out throughout the week. I have a fenced backyard and a reception for your pets to stretch their legs. Not having any pets at the moment so worries about conflicts.

“I am so pleased with the service provided! Alex was lovely enough to do two drop ins on my little cat whilst I was away. I was nervous at first as my cat tends to not like other people and has a little separation anxiety, however Zero was not only comfortable enough to sit in the same room as Alex, but also accepted treats too. Communication was amazing throughout, photos provided and updates on how zero was doing. Highly recommend, will be hoping to book Alex again in future!”

About: *DBS checked & Insured* I have grown up with multiple cats, dogs and smaller pets and I continue this love for animals in my adult life. In my spare time I like to take my dog Tinkerbell to the Peak District, who is a small, loving and energetic Shih Tzu. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and I feel I can provide a loving and caring environment for any dog whilst their owners are away. Because of my experience growing up with animals, I completely understand that pets are part of the family and sometimes need more care and attention during times of separation. I work full-time in a work from home desk job. Whilst my hours are 9-5 I can be flexible. I generally work one day in the office but again this is something I would always try to be flexible with. I will always make time to give any cat or dog consistent attention throughout the day. I’m a very caring person and I make sure to prioritise food and toilet breaks for pets, as I can be flexible with my working hours.
About: Cats😺 I have been a proud cat mom for the past year and I adore my cat, Muffin. Before getting her, I spent a lot of time researching cat care to ensure that I could give her the best possible life. Since then I have continued learning and building my knowledge every day. I am particularly experienced with kittens and Ragdolls. I understand their personalities, needs, and how important routine, gentle handling, and attention are. Caring for my own cat has made me very attentive and detail-oriented when it comes to feeding, hygiene, playtime, and wellbeing. Dogs 🐶 I have grown up as a dog owner and caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I am experienced in daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, cuddles, and understanding each dog’s unique personality. I am very comfortable looking after dogs and I will go above and beyond to make pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I have experience caring for both large and small breeds both younger and older. 💕 I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I always follow each owner’s instructions closely and respect that every pet has their own routine, preferences and personality. I am more than happy to receive detailed instructions and I will never judge anyone for being particular about their pets care. As someone who is very specific about my own pets routine, I completely understand how important this is. I am happy to provide regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care, if preferred, so you can feel reassured and connected whilst you are away. I will treat your fur baby with the same level of care, patience, and affection as I do my own! I am a university student, however I have finished university until the next academic year, therefore I am very flexible with my availability to take excellent care of your pet! Note: 3rd-14th August I will be unavailable during weekdays. I will still be available on weekends during this time. Thank You :) I am not currently offering services in my own home, however I will implement safety measures when taking care of your pet in your home. As an indoor-cat owner, I appreciate the importance of keeping indoor pets safe. I will always follow your instructions carefully when caring for your pet, and no matter their routine, preferences or lifestyle, indoor or outdoor, I will respect this and follow this carefully. I would always appreciate clear instructions and any emergency contacts (such as a vet or family member) for peace of mind.

About: I grew up with a house full of pets so when I moved out I felt the need to have animals in my life, and ended up turning it into a business! I’ve been looking after dogs and cats more professionally since august 2021 (with breaks in between), including walks and dog sitting at both my own and the owners homes. “Georgina is very attentions with my cats and they came to her easily. Both are usually shy of people. She not only just fed and cleaned the sand but she gave them cuddles and played with them. It makes an owner more reassured that they get the attention while they are away! :)”

We had a wonderful experience with PUI YAN (IRIS) looking after our two cats, Chelsea and Felix. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Chelsea and Felix!

Ainara was wonderful with my two indoor cats! She was really communicative, asking what time was best to feed them in the evening, and when it was really hot she visited 3 times to make sure they were okay without me asking. Your cats will be in great hands with Ainara 😸😽
Wing was incredible with our cats we are so grateful. This was the first time we had left them for a few days so we were a little anxious. Wing reassured us when she came to visit prior to our trip and she was brilliant with the visits. Our cats can be a little nervous, Walter and specially but even he softened to Wing by the end. We felt so reassured with all the videos, photos and updates Wing sent us, the cats looked so happy we were worried in the end that the cats wouldn’t miss us at all! 😀 Thank you Wing for looking after Walter and Jeramy we will definitely use Wing again…the cats will want us too!

Christine did an amazing job with our cat Zest, she was communicative, proactive, and took lots of cute videos and photos whilst cat sitting for 7 days, we felt like Zest had a third parent whilst we were away and would 1000% get Christine to cat sit for us again. Zest can be quite shy and often hides from people so we were worried that Christine might not be able to spend real time with him. Thankfully, Christine's patience and attentiveness shone through, as she was able to win Zest over and take extremely good care of him. We'd definitely recommend Christine for pet sitting in general, she's a safe pair of hands who will love your pet as much as you do. Thanks so much for taking care of Zest once again!

Imagine was lovely and friendly and looked after Orla so well. She was prompt and on the ball with any and all updates. She was also super helpful when I needed to adjust things slightly when my travel plans went awry! Thank you so much for looking after my ginger weirdo - she clearly had a great time with you :D xx

Rachel was the perfect person to check in on my cats. She went above and beyond, updated me every step of the way with great detail, and followed all my requests to a T! And as a bonus, my cats loved her and we're very comfortable around her calm demeanor! Definitely recommend Rachel to look after your cats.

Laura was absolutely fantastic looking after our two cats while we were away. From the very beginning, her communication was great- she kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. What really stood out was Laura’s wonderfully gentle and caring nature. She clearly has a natural affinity with animals and took the time to get to know both of our cats, making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. It was obvious from the updates that they were receiving plenty of attention and affection, and they looked so relaxed and happy in her care. Coming home to two contented cats was such a lovely feeling. Laura is reliable, professional and kind- we couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for someone truly special to care for their pets. We would love to have her back next time we go away!

Ada has done a wonderful job of looking after Dougie again! I've used her several times now and I always feel so much more relaxed knowing she's caring for my boy. She always sends nice little updates with some photos and if there are any concerns, she'll flag them straight away. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
