About: I’ve been a dog parent since puppy days! I raised my Cockapoo from 8 weeks old, so I know all about toilet training, teething, puppy energy, and keeping them entertained. I’m used to daily walks in public, meeting other dogs, and making sure walks are safe, fun, and well-behaved. Growing up I also had a family cat who lived to a ripe old age of 21! She was the sweetest, most loving cat and taught me how to care for cats with patience and lots of attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own — with playtime, cuddles, and regular updates with photos so you know they’re happy. I work part time so I’m available every Tuesday and alternate weekends for pet sitting. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I love having a schedule. I plan my day around walks, meals, playtime, and cuddles, and I make sure pets are never left alone for long periods. Safety is my #1 priority. In your home, I’ll stick to your pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, play, and bedtime so they feel comfortable. I’ll keep doors/windows secure, use leads on walks, and never leave your pet unsupervised in unsafe areas. In my home: I have a pet-free, clean space with a secure garden. I’ll provide lots of play, toilet breaks, and cuddles. I send photo/video updates every visit so you know your pet is happy and safe. Happy to follow any specific instructions you have!
“Melissa dropped by a few days before looking after Rory, our cat, and was really lovely and friendly. She visited and fed Rory everyday at the time we requested, and even did an extra visit in the hot weather to check he was ok. Would definitely recommend.”

“Margret was able to walk little Luna at such short notice and Luna loved her time with her. Margret’s communication was great and sent lots of pictures and updates of their walk. I will definitely be using Margret again.”

“Harry put our mind at ease during the pre visit and Jasper was comfortable with him. We received regular updates with photos. I would highly recommend Harry after looking after my cat.”

About: I have dog walked and sat many pets (cats/dogs/guinea’s) for both friends/family for years as well as on other apps such as borrowmydoggy. I am familiar with many breeds of dogs/cats small to large and have experience giving dogs baths after walks & giving oral medication to both for various conditions including antibiotics in tablet form, liquid medications and painkillers & spot-on treatments. I have two indoor cats myself with two very different personalities so I am very use to different temperaments and needs - they are well socialised and friendly with people and are very unbothered cats but often get crazy zoomies throughout the day. Unfortunately until I am a homeowner I am unable to get a dog of my own so I have looked after friends pets and used apps such as borrow my doggy over the years as I love them so much and allows me to be around animals as often as I can! I work full time but am usually home for around 5pm so anytime after this I am able to help out with. However- I do not work weekends so Saturday/Sunday I am available early morning-late night. About: I’ve been around different kinds of dogs all my life. My sister has a dog called Nala who I look after while she’s out or on holidays. Love to make dogs feel happy and loved. My main priority is keeping your dogs safe and well looked after I have looked a variety of dogs and I always cater for their needs and take them on lovely walks. I’m currently working part time remotely from home but I can fit my work around looking after pets. I can pet sit in my home. I don’t have any other pets. It’s just myself and my daughter who loves having the dogs. I have a fenced with a gate front garden. I have a ginnel with my neighbour with a locked gate with a key which leads to my back garden which is fenced and has a locked gate. Plenty of space and very safe so they can be inside or out. I can leave my back door open for the dogs to come inside and out. I have quite an open downstairs so the dogs have room to venture around.
“Mairead did some drop ins for my elderly dog Bernie while we were away for the weekend. She was very easy to communicate with and provided me with thorough updates on all the drop ins. She clearly has a deep love for dogs which shows in how she interacts and talks about them. Bernie was content when we returned and I would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Adam was a great sitter! I’d highly recommend him- very kind, communicative, and was amazing with Vader. He dealt with the mischief with grace and we will definitely be booking with him again!”

About: I have had 2 years plus experience working with and caring for all animals! Both cats and dogs as well as reptiles and rodents :) I currently work as a freelance photographer so I have a fair bit of time during the week available to play with and look after your pets! I have several of my own and have a very flexible schedule! I volunteer at a rescue 3:30-6pm on a Wednesday so that time on a Wednesday is unavailable. Most days of the week I can be flexible. I will happily look after your pet with any instructions you may want to give me. My pup has her own routine most of the time and I know a lot of people are the same and I will be more than happy to stick to that should owners want that. I have a pup who I’m more than happy to introduce with permission if that’s something you’d want. Should your pup be looked after at my house, I have a secure garden with space to run around, with a back and patio door so easy access to come back in for food/water. I have plenty of toys/balls as well and knowledge of a lot of local parks for more interesting/stimulating walks.
“Yoyo is amazing. Very kind, polite and caring, updates me with photos and knows well how to look after kitties. She is also flexible and understanding. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Leylee was amazing as always! Cats all fed and played out, poop scooped, and seemless key exchange as always. Lots of pics sent over too. Wouldn’t go to anyone else ! Thanks again Leylee Xx”

Flawless as always - I'm always happy when we book Katie to look after our two housecats because she always puts her full care and attention into it! She even helps us to stay stress-free when we're away by watering plants and cleaning messes the cats make - just brilliant, have booked many times before and will continue to book in the future. 10/10 care

Our, usually shy, house cats warmed to Christine instantly. We returned home to two happy, healthy, cats who didn't seam too bothered that we'd disappeared for a week! We had lots of updates & pics from Christine while we were away which was really appreciated. We'd happily book Christine again.
Philippa has looked after Tigger and Tatty twice now and has been so caring with the two of them, you can see how visibly calm both cats are with her from her regular photo updates and when we return from holiday they have both been clearly well looked after! Would 100% recommend Philippa to anyone looking for a sitter!
Our cats loved Cynthia! She was so lovely, and it was really easy to coordinate giving her the keys, showing her everything they needed, and messaging when we were away. They loved spending time with her, and it was so reassuring for us to know the were so well cared for when we were away. She sent lots of updates and photos as well. We’d definitely book with her again in future, thank you!!

Highly recommend Michelle if you're looking for a car sitter. Very experienced, caring, reliable, trustworthy, & clearly enjoys the job. We were nervous leaving our 6m kitten Jupiter for the first time, but as soon as we met Michelle we knew she was the right person. Jupiter has loved his daily visits whilst we've been away 🙂.

Sam was simply amazing! We had constant contact throughout our trip, with lots of videos and updates that gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was extremely helpful, reliable, and took great care of our cats. They bonded with her very quickly, which was lovely to see. We came home to happy, well-looked-after cats and couldn't have asked for a better sitter. I would definitely recommend Sam!
Sally looked after our cat Gertie whilst we were away on a short break. She did an excellent job and sent an update following each visit, which was much appreciated. This was the first time we had used a cat sitter rather than a cattery and we could not have been more pleased with the service and care Sally provided.

Luan is truly wonderful and highly recommended. She genuinely loves cats and took great care of my two senior cats with patience and attention. She didn’t just handle the basics, but also spent time interacting and bonding with them. My cats felt comfortable and relaxed with her. Very reliable and caring—would definitely recommend!
Booked Harry for daily visits to care for my cat, Robin, over the past two weeks. Robin was healthy and doing well when I returned, which is the most important thing. Communication was generally smooth, and the visits covered the essentials. I was surprised that Harry updated photos almost every visit. When I got home, Robin was especially affectionate and eager for attention. He may simply have missed me, but overall, he seems to be doing fine. Overall, a positive experience for this booking.

Absolutely outstanding, Sophia was fantastic with our cat and was a great help in the house too. Floria warmed to her immediately and Sophia made our trip away so much easier knowing Floria was in good hands. We are a repeat client with Sophia and highly recommend her. Thank you so much for everything, Christina, Floria and family x x x ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
