About: I’ve been around different kinds of dogs all my life. My sister has a dog called Nala who I look after while she’s out or on holidays. Love to make dogs feel happy and loved. My main priority is keeping your dogs safe and well looked after I have looked a variety of dogs and I always cater for their needs and take them on lovely walks. I’m currently working part time remotely from home but I can fit my work around looking after pets. I can pet sit in my home. I don’t have any other pets. It’s just myself and my daughter who loves having the dogs. I have a fenced with a gate front garden. I have a ginnel with my neighbour with a locked gate with a key which leads to my back garden which is fenced and has a locked gate. Plenty of space and very safe so they can be inside or out. I can leave my back door open for the dogs to come inside and out. I have quite an open downstairs so the dogs have room to venture around.
“We were so lucky to find Molly, after being let down by another sitter, she came to the rescue and was a pleasure to deal with. Both of our kittens loved having her around and took to her well. She was reliable and flexible and super nice! Thank you 🙏”

“I can not recommend Katie A enough, she is an excellent sitter, she looked at Valtteri, cuddled, fed and updated with lots of pics, cleaned litter. Extremely reliable and caring, will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much.”

“Melissa dropped by a few days before looking after Rory, our cat, and was really lovely and friendly. She visited and fed Rory everyday at the time we requested, and even did an extra visit in the hot weather to check he was ok. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I have had 2 years plus experience working with and caring for all animals! Both cats and dogs as well as reptiles and rodents :) I currently work as a freelance photographer so I have a fair bit of time during the week available to play with and look after your pets! I have several of my own and have a very flexible schedule! I volunteer at a rescue 3:30-6pm on a Wednesday so that time on a Wednesday is unavailable. Most days of the week I can be flexible. I will happily look after your pet with any instructions you may want to give me. My pup has her own routine most of the time and I know a lot of people are the same and I will be more than happy to stick to that should owners want that. I have a pup who I’m more than happy to introduce with permission if that’s something you’d want. Should your pup be looked after at my house, I have a secure garden with space to run around, with a back and patio door so easy access to come back in for food/water. I have plenty of toys/balls as well and knowledge of a lot of local parks for more interesting/stimulating walks.

About: I have experience caring for pets for friends and family, including feeding, walking, and spending quality time with dogs and cats. I am patient, responsible, and always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I understand that every pet has a different personality, and I take the time to adjust to their needs. I’m currently unemployed, and ready to go to university in September, I am free for every day if can fit my schedule, I got my driving license a few weeks ago. I have pet a small dog at home, and can play with any dogs as expected, if have any special needs, I will try my best to get them done.
“Darcy was amazing. Came round and met our dog ahead of the visit which was great. She dropped in on him whilst we were out and looked after him amazingly. Loved to see the photos she provided of him having fun with the ball. Highly recommend and will be booking again in the future .”

“Yoyo is amazing. Very kind, polite and caring, updates me with photos and knows well how to look after kitties. She is also flexible and understanding. I would definitely recommend her.”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life - from my first family dog growing up to my soul dog, Lucy, who me and my boyfriend, Joe, have now! We’ve always been happy to take care of other dogs no matter their age or size. This means we’ve had experience with 2 puppies, right up until caring for a senior dog who had multiple illnesses and required medications and extra loving. I’m work from home Monday-Fri, and Joe works fairly flexibly so there is usually at least one of us at home. We have our own dog so she is always built into our plans and we often like to take day trips out in our campervan to give Lucy a fab day out. We have a safe, enclosed garden with plenty of room to run about and our living room door backs onto this so we can always keep an eye on pups playing outside. Lucy isn’t crate trained but we’d be happy to accommodate a crate if provided.
“Harry put our mind at ease during the pre visit and Jasper was comfortable with him. We received regular updates with photos. I would highly recommend Harry after looking after my cat.”

“Abigail was warm and friendly in her communication and I had no worries about her coming in to look after our two cats. She sent lots of pictures and my cats clearly loved her being there. I would recommend Abigail if you're looking for a cat sitter!”

“Leylee was amazing as always! Cats all fed and played out, poop scooped, and seemless key exchange as always. Lots of pics sent over too. Wouldn’t go to anyone else ! Thanks again Leylee Xx”

About: Hi there! My name is Tasha. I’m 28 years old and I am a solicitor, working in the city centre. I have lived in Manchester for 4 years now and have three beautiful cats of my own - Albus, Luna and Percy! I have grown up around animals and genuinely prefer their company to people. I am originally from the Lake District and have grown up with cats, dogs, rabbits and birds. I understand the need to trust the person you are allowing to take care of your pets whilst away and will do everything to reassure you that your pet will be safe, happy and well looked after whilst under my care.
“Gareth has been so patient with my new rescue pocket bully Dooley who has the strength of a buffalo but the confidence of a mouse! He's not minded him nervous weeing all over the floor (and cleaned it up!) and taking it at Dooleys pace (a slow waddle). 🐌 adapting how he greets him in response, which has already made a difference! He has been flexible and even came to check-in on a day he no longer needed to, a visit which increased my confidence massively in Dooleys progress with new people! Gareth is great and would definately recommend him 😊”

“Adam was a great sitter! I’d highly recommend him- very kind, communicative, and was amazing with Vader. He dealt with the mischief with grace and we will definitely be booking with him again!”

“Rose looked after my cat willow for a week kept me updated on willow wellbeing and sent videos so was reassured on return everything was the way we left it would definitely use rose again if we go on holiday 5 star rating for rose 😃 from willow & jane”

“Mairead did some drop ins for my elderly dog Bernie while we were away for the weekend. She was very easy to communicate with and provided me with thorough updates on all the drop ins. She clearly has a deep love for dogs which shows in how she interacts and talks about them. Bernie was content when we returned and I would definitely use her again in the future.”

Carol was an absolute hero for us, accepting our request on short notice and going above and beyond during her check ins. She followed the instructions perfectly and her communication and daily reports were very appreciated. She also showed a lot of patience with our very shy cat, Crumb and eventually won her over. We would be delighted for Carol to look after our cats the next time we are away!

We returned from holiday to find a well cared for happy cat. Katie dealt with all our requests regarding feeding and litter maintainance and importantly medication administration. She kept us fully up to date with photos of Etta and comments on her behaviour. We will have no hesitation in asking Katie to care for our pet again. Many thanks for a job well done.

Christine was great!!! She took such good care of our cats whilst we were away and provided the best updates after each visit so we knew the girls were happy and what they had been up to! Highly recommend and will definitely be using Christine again if we are away!
Sam was simply amazing! We had constant contact throughout our trip, with lots of videos and updates that gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was extremely helpful, reliable, and took great care of our cats. They bonded with her very quickly, which was lovely to see. We came home to happy, well-looked-after cats and couldn't have asked for a better sitter. I would definitely recommend Sam!
Sally looked after our cat Gertie whilst we were away on a short break. She did an excellent job and sent an update following each visit, which was much appreciated. This was the first time we had used a cat sitter rather than a cattery and we could not have been more pleased with the service and care Sally provided.

Luan is truly wonderful and highly recommended. She genuinely loves cats and took great care of my two senior cats with patience and attention. She didn’t just handle the basics, but also spent time interacting and bonding with them. My cats felt comfortable and relaxed with her. Very reliable and caring—would definitely recommend!
Booked Harry for daily visits to care for my cat, Robin, over the past two weeks. Robin was healthy and doing well when I returned, which is the most important thing. Communication was generally smooth, and the visits covered the essentials. I was surprised that Harry updated photos almost every visit. When I got home, Robin was especially affectionate and eager for attention. He may simply have missed me, but overall, he seems to be doing fine. Overall, a positive experience for this booking.

Absolutely outstanding, Sophia was fantastic with our cat and was a great help in the house too. Floria warmed to her immediately and Sophia made our trip away so much easier knowing Floria was in good hands. We are a repeat client with Sophia and highly recommend her. Thank you so much for everything, Christina, Floria and family x x x ❤️
Melissa is a very kind person and is aware of the needs of senior cats, and she is very gentle with them. She was very supportive to take care of our sick cat. Melissa comes with alternative solutions to make things easier for our cat in need, she is very helpful and friendly. It was great meeting with you, Melissa: Thank you very much for giving us the comfort we needed so that we could pay our full attention to make Muffin feel better in her final days.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
