“Amanda and John were brilliant with Bernie. They clearly love dogs and are so welcoming - he didn’t want to let them out of his sight when we collected him and drove away! Updated throughout, which is always reassuring as we hate leaving him but makes it so much easier when you know he’s having a great time. Thank you, I’m sure Bernie would love to come and see you again!”

“I can not thank Laura and Jay enough for looking after Millie. I was sent pictures and video of her stay and have to say, she looked like she was having so much fun. This was the first time I had left her with anyone, and I was nervous but I need not have been , as she was so well looked after. They are great people who I would highly recommend. There beautiful home is well situated and offers plenty of fields to run and play, and that was just me. If you are looking for someone who you can trust with your own pet, you need not look any further. Thanks again guys, so pleased I found you. Steve and Millie.”

“If I could give Bianca and Chloe 100 stars it still wouldn’t be enough. Absolutely fantastic boarders. I could tell they loved my Lennie as much as I do. So much communication, lots of photos and videos to put my mind at rest. I’ve used a few boarders with Rover before but none have compared to Bianca and Chloe. My number 1 from now on if I have to leave Lennie with a boarded. Lennie bonded so well with them and their dog, Otis. It was like leaving him with a member of my own family. I cannot thank them enough for looking after my little boy 🥰”

“My dog Marshall went to stay with Karen and her partner at quite short notice. Karen was very accommodating. He had the most wonderful time and was extremely well cared for. I had lots of updates and photos from Karen and she was extremely responsive to messages. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family and I will definitely use Karen’s services in the future.”

“Michael always enjoys his time with the dogs and shows his true affection for them. He keeps us updated several times a day with quick messages or pictures. Very reassuring and we know the dogs are in very good hands”

“Just picked Toby up from a stay with Alice and her family. He loves staying with them and I am constantly updated with pics and videos !! It’s lovely being able to go away and know he is being well cared for xx thank you!”

“I cannot speak highly enough of Caitlin! This was the first time leaving our dog with pet sitter and she took very good care of him. She sent us frequent photos, which put our minds at ease. Our Ozzy came back happy and well cared for!!! Highly recommended! Thank you, Caitlin!”

“Thank you so much Julia and tony. Rocky had a fantastic stay, I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. The pictures and videos we received were fabulous and we had complete and utter peace of mind. Julia and tony are very popular and it is no wonder with this level of care. Again thank you so much!!!”

About: Having dogs since I was 4, I have always been comfortable and passionate. We are currently PAT volunteers with our dog Bjorn (golden retriever) and currently undertaking my pet first aid qualification. I can provide a full DBS check and provide dog walking insurance details. To clarify, the dog walking, boarding and day sitting will be solely done by myself. My wife will be present in the home but works from home. I am a full time dog walker and sitter. I can be flexible during any day of the week, and will give plenty of notice if circumstances change. Pet's come first in my household, wether it's a toilet break, play time or just attention. I can easily provide photos/videos throughout the day to keep your peace of mind, and also hold a fully quarter acre fenced garden, pleanty for any dog to run and have a sense of freedom or adventure.

“Dan is amazing. His genuine love for dogs really shows: he’s patient, caring, and always puts the dog’s needs first (even if that means playing fetch for the 100th time). Our rescue Belgian Malinois, Apple, stayed with him for two weeks over Christmas and he handled her reactivity and need for a slow introduction perfectly and Apple now runs toward Dan, which says everything. By the time we left for our holiday leaving her behind for the first time, all my worries were gone. We picked her up happy, clean, and with everything neatly packed. Dan is the best, highly recommend.”

“Booked last minute due to being let down personally, quick reliable communication, kept me updated the whole time. Ariel my dog loved being there, instantly felt at ease. Very friendly professional would use every single time I need somebody now thank you so much xxxx”

“Jennifer is a very kind and caring dogsitter. We knew our elderly dog would be in good hands with her and she came back rested and happy. Lots of photos and great communication throught the stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dog sitter.”

“Nicola and her family were fantastic with Rosie! She seemed very happy being dropped off and we got regular updates. She has recently developed a lot of anxiety since losing our other dog resulting in nighttime issues, despite this Nicola dealt with it superbly”

“We instantly felt at ease and happy to meet Claire and her beautiful dog Ruby. Our two dogs very quickly felt happy and comfortable (we could see that before we even left) Claire kept us informed with pictures, videos and messages. When we collected our dogs they were very happy and I’m sure didn’t want to leave :D Will be using Claire’s boarding services again soon.”

“Rachel was amazing with Pablo, he had lots of walks and swims in the river, which he loves! I got constant updates, photos and videos of Pablo’s stay. And he also was in good company with Ronnie 🐶 Thank you!”

“Would highly recommend Beth for boarding/ sitting. Beth had Pippin for one night. We arranged a meet and greet first which immediately put our minds at ease and allowed Pippin and Barney to meet and make sure they got on ok. It was warm weather when Pippin was staying over and Beth had already planned out the stay to ensure Pippin was comfortable; including early morning and late evening walks to avoid the hot weather and also prepping some frozen goodies for them! Beth shared regular updates including photos of walks and feeding. Barney is a lovely boy who was happy to welcome another dog into the house. We will certainly use Beth again”

“Meng is absolutely wonderful. She came a few days days to look after my cat and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She is always kind, gentle and genuinely caring, and she truly goes the extra mile. She is incredibly thoughtful and attentive to details, and that really shows in the way she cares for animals. My cat is very shy and easily scared, yet he took to Meng straight away and clearly felt safe with her which, to me, says everything about the kind of person she is. She has looked after him a few times before, and I wouldn’t doubt to hire her again. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. I would not hesitate to recommend Meng to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, warm and truly lovely xx”

“So pleased we found Camilla to look after Graham while we were away. Graham and the house has been so well looked after and he seems very happy. I really appreciated the updates and photos as it helps put our mind at rest while we're away. Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much ✨✨✨✨✨”

“Tinta was so happy when we came back from holidays. Lynee was really helpful, keep good communication all the time and send us photos daily. Something that we really appreciate. Highly recommend.”

“Josie was a fantastic minder for my cat Poppy. She took endless notes when she first visited, so I was very confident. She sent daily updates and pictures whilst we were away, and it was lovely to see our normally cautious cat respond to her so positively. Thank you Josie!”

“I couldn't be happier with the care provided for my two cats. From the very beginning, Laura was reliable, professional, and clearly love animals. Laura kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I returned, and it was obvious they had received plenty of attention and affection. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my furry babies Laura xx”

About: I cat-sit for both of my sisters when they go on holiday. These range from young adults to elderly cats requiring daily medication. My sister once brought home a pregnant stray cat and I helped nurse her, and was present when she gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens. I stayed with her for the first week, to help watch over the kittens whilst my sister went to work. I have also looking after various animals on a small holding whilst the owners went on holiday. This included cats, reptiles, poultry, pigs and sheep.

“Hannah is absolutely FANTASTIC!! She stepped up when I needed someone to look after my dog at short notice and is so reassuring and knowledgeable. Lolly can be nervous with new people but Hannah was great at working with Lolly's pace. She really put me and Lolly at ease and I will absolutely be booking her again! Highly recommend if you've also got a shy or anxious dog, she's amazing.”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring cat lover based in Padfield, originally from Leicester, and I’ve lived in the area for the past 11 years. I’m 42 years old and have spent many years looking after family pets, as well as long-term pet sitting jobs for two families who work away in London during the week. I currently have two beautiful cats of my own. Cheech is 19 years old (turning 20 in June!) and CJ is the baby of the family at 8 years old. CJ is very loud, full of personality, and has somehow learned to mimic the owl outside our window — so I’m definitely used to quirky cats with big characters! I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether your cat is shy, affectionate, playful, elderly, or just likes things done a certain way, I’m patient, attentive, and happy to adapt to their routine. I work weekdays from 9–5, but I’m available before and after work, can often make brief lunchtime visits if needed, and I’m also available for overnight stays. I’m also happy to administer medication if required. I will regularly update you on your pets throughout my stay and will always send photos, so you can relax knowing they’re happy, safe, and being well looked after. I’ll always make sure your cats get plenty of attention, care, fuss (if they want it!), fresh food and water, clean litter trays, and lots of reassurance while you’re away. Please feel free to get in touch with any enquiries, even outside of my stated availability times, and I’ll always do my best to help. I’d love to meet you and your cats!
“Nadine was amazing! My cats aren't always the easiest or the cleanest but she never complained and looked after them very well! She kept me updated everyday and sent photos and was very accommodating. Thank you so much!”

About: I am a recently retired Police Officer after 30 years service. I have decided to use my spare time to offer a dog walking and pet sitting service. I have been a volunteer at Glossop Cat at Rescue for 3 years and have had a love of all animals since childhood.

About: Hello, I'm Cas! I love cats more than anything. I have two kitties at home with completely different personalities; one is super playful, energetic, and mischievous, whilst the other is quiet, skittish, and calm. I can handle a variety of cats and all of their wonderful, different personalities. I am respectful of their personal space and boundaries, and will always let them come to me first. Your cats would be in good hands with me! Please note - I have a fear of dogs due to an incident with them I faced as a very young child so please do not hire me if there will be a dog at home, thank you!
About: I have always owned animals since being a child, some of these being hamsters, rabbits and cocker spaniels. Aswell as owning pets I have also worked within the animal sector for the last 20 years. I have experience of looking after dogs whilst their owners are away, to working within a dog rescue centre. I have cared for dogs of all ages, from hand rearing puppies to looking after senior dogs on palliative care. I am confident with administering medication and have experience of dogs with specific training needs. I am available to board, walk, or just pop in to give your dog some company, I can be flexible to suit their individual needs. I am flexible with regards to looking after your dog, whether it be just the odd night, or longer. I am available throughout the week, including weekends. I have a secure back yard with a fence, approximately 3 ft high. I live in a rural location wih access to lovely walks directly from my door. I am happy for a dog to have access to the whole house to help them feel safe and secure.
About: I've grown up with dogs ever since I was a baby. I currently have a 3 month old pup and two family dog who live with my mum (one of which is a lockdown pup) & they are my world. Walks, cuddles and play time are my favourite. I'm that person who will pay more attention to the dog walking past then the person. I have a working from home role so I am able to come and go as I please or schedule in walks when needed. This also means I can move my working space to somewhere suitable. My own pup gets a few walks throughout the day and lots of cuddles, so I will always work around to make sure they don't loose out also. I moved to manchester (glossop) from southampton in may 2023. Unfortunately luna and darcey are family dogs (luna is my weimaraner in my profile photo) so they have remained at home with my parents and siblings. However.....we have recently got our own fur baby, hunter who is the weimaraner pup in my photos. He is so wonderfully behaved with the sweetest nature. He is great. I still have so much free time on my hands and wanted to extend this to pub sitting, walking and cuddles. I intend to give the fur babies as much love and protection as I would with my own so please do drop me a message if you have any questions or want to arrange a walk 🐶🥰

“Karen was amazing! It was our first time leaving waffles with anyone who wasn't family and I couldn't be any happier with the experience. Karen was lovely and professional throughout, with a lovely dog safe home and genuinely cared about my little pooch! We met beforehand to see how he would get on with her lovely resident dog Reggie (who is a lovely little gent). I felt safe and secure leaving waffles with Karen and Reggie and I got updates throughout the day and he has come home exhausted after such a fun day! Will definitely use again!”

“Laura and Jay are always amazing at looking after Ralph. They treat him as their own, take him on lovely walks and give him lots of snuggles. We know that when we leave him with them he'll be so happy.”

“Carol is so easy to deal with and welcoming so I knew Lyra would have an amazing time with her and John and the dogs. She did - home from home - fun the whole time and asleep before we got home.”

“Jessica was a very thoughtful dogsitter, and has been prompt with messages and communicating throughout the day with any updates. Will happily trust Bingo with her again (and Bingo will be pleased too)!”

“Clare was wonderful with my Border Collie, Phoebe! She provided regular updates with photos, showing how happy and active Phoebe was during her stay. Clare's home was perfect for a playful dog like Phoebe, offering plenty of space to run and play. I felt completely at ease knowing Phoebe was in such good hands. I highly recommend Clare to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. We'll definitely be returning!”

About: I grew up with family dogs and have experience caring for them, including feeding, walking, playing and looking after their daily needs. Although I don't currently have professional pet care experience, I'm preparing to adopt a rescue dog of my own and have spent a lot of time learning about dog behaviour, body language, positive reinforcement and everyday care. I'm a calm, patient and responsible person who enjoys spending time with dogs. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I'm happy to follow your instructions carefully to keep your dog safe, comfortable and happy. As I work from home, I'm reliable and flexible for weekend walks and drop-in visits. I'll always provide regular updates with photos and messages, so you'll know how your dog is getting on while you're away. As I'm just starting out, I'm currently best suited to caring for small dogs. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits on weekends. Keeping my availability focused on weekends allows me to provide reliable care and give every dog the time and attention they deserve. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, including walking routes, feeding, routines and any special requirements. During walks, I’ll keep your dog safely on lead at all times unless you’ve specifically requested otherwise. I’ll also provide regular photo and message updates, so you can feel confident that your dog is happy, safe and well cared for.
About: Working 9–5 in Glossop, but available mornings, evenings, and nights, with daytime availability during my breaks for visits, feeds, check-ins, and cuddles. Happy to accommodate any special requirements, including medication and personalised care routines. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment with their usual routine, smells, and comforts. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, litter tray cleaning, medication, and any specific quirks or preferences their cat may have. I take time to build trust with each cat at their own pace, whether they’re confident and social or more shy and reserved. I never force interaction — I let the cat decide the level of attention they want, and make sure they feel safe and relaxed throughout my visit. I keep your home secure by being respectful, tidy, and mindful at all times, ensuring doors and windows are properly checked before I leave. I treat every home as if it were my own and every pet as if they were my own cats. You’ll also receive regular updates, including messages and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

About: A deep love for pets and years of experience with dogs and cats make me an excellent choice for your pet sitting needs. I have studied the science of cat and dog ownership systematically myself and am open to learning and respecting the nature of animals. I am committed to making your pet's stay a happy one. After working full-time in the UK, now I have chosen to be a PhD student in Education. During my PhD, I work from home most of the time. I mainly live on the rent I collect for my house elsewhere, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets and keep an eye on them to make sure they are healthy and happy. Since my doggy is ‘free-range’ at home, we don't have a crate. Therefore, your pet friend will also have access to all rooms. And there is an enclosed back garden where your pet can go to the toilet at any time. My Shiba Inu is very gentle and friendly, most of the time she just sleeps on our sofa or lies on the floor casually. She enjoys playing with other dogs and never shows aggression towards humans or pets. She will be a great companion for your pet. I have a very light schedule so I have plenty of time to look after your furry baby.

About: I have looked after several friend and family members’ dogs and cats whilst they have gone away on holiday, either staying in their home or dropping in for visits. For the last 4 years I have volunteered at an animal assisted intervention organisation, which takes dogs and small animals to schools and hospitals for outreach visits. This involves assessing the animals body language, responding to their cues and ensuring they are relaxed and comfortable. I believe this would be a vital skill for looking after your pet. When I lived in Edinburgh, I worked with a charity that volunteers to walk people’s dogs who find it difficult to get out and keep their dog exercised. I love hiking, getting out in nature and seeing dogs enjoy the outdoors too. I volunteer on a Monday and Friday, for a full or half day depending on the week, however I have lunch free. Outreaches finish at 4 at the latest, so I would be available after this to feed, exercise or play with your pet, and stay overnight if needed. On other days, my commitments are small and take an hour or two out of my day at most. I am flexible - I can stay in your home full time, drop by for shorter periods, and/or stay overnight. Just detail what best suits you and I will endeavour to meet your pet’s needs.

“Megan has been helping care for Brinkley for almost a month now, taking him for walks, sitting him during the day and has just had him I we night for the first time. Megan is brilliant with him, Brinkley is always so excited to see Megan and always has a great time when he is with her, he has also made a great friend in Megan's little puppy who he loves a good bit or rough and tumble with. I would definitely recommend Megan for all of your pets needs!”

About: We both volunteer at a greyhound rescue centre, and most recently were fostering a greyhound for 3 months. While we’re happy he found his forever home, we miss having a furry friend around! Henry has had Great Danes his whole life, from puppyhood to seniors. He was primarily responsible for their training, grooming, playing and general care. Jess has looked after cats for years, and was the primary caretaker of her family’s cat before moving (Zola the cat is still living happily with Jess’ family!). She also volunteers at the local cat rescue centre. Jess works from home most of the week with a flexible schedule. Henry has a stable roster in the airline industry so has plenty of days off, including weekdays. It’s very easy for us to change our schedules to ensure someone is home. We have a generously sized fenced garden which connects to the Longdendale trail. There are many people walking their dogs in the fields behind our house and in the neighbourhood.
