Kashia was brill with my two cats during a long weekend away! One unexpectedly ended up on antibiotics a couple of days before my trip but Kashia was happy to give them. I was sent plenty of pics whilst away and was confident they were in safe hands the whole time. I came home to two happy boys and would definitely recommend Kashia to anyone looking for a cat sitter!

About: Hi, I’m Chloe! ☺️ I’ve always had a huge passion for animals, and truly can’t think of anything better than spending my days with dogs! 🐾 I grew up surrounded by pups of all shapes and sizes — from Great Danes and Springer Spaniels to a cheeky little Jack Russell — so I know just how different (and special!) every dog’s personality can be. I live in Milton, Barnsley. This means I am super close to several large parks and miles of gorgeous countryside — the perfect spots for long or short walks, exploring, and getting all that happy energy out. Whether your pooch loves a good game of fetch or a steady countryside stroll, I’ll make sure they have the best time. Any dogs I look after are treated like my own — plenty of love, cuddles, and maybe a few too many treats! You can relax knowing your beloved companion is safe, happy, and being completely spoiled while you’re away. I love nothing more than spoiling your pooch - rest assured your baby will be treat like the prince or princess that they are whilst youre away! I will photograph/video & update everything we get up to so you feel like you are with us the whole time (unless you need a break!) 🐶💛 My prices vary and I am more than open to a discussion about pricing to what suits your needs! I have been walking dogs since I was 11 - My family had a springer spaniel and I used to walk him everywhere - he was so active and so am I - so we worked well! Since this, I have always enjoyed walking pooches. I lived in Leeds for 10 years and had a few regular dogs that I walked and looked after including a Cocker Spaniel, Staffie & Schnauzer. My Availability 🐾 I currently work Monday to Friday from 8:30-4PM - but my weekends are all about the dogs! 🐶💛 From Friday evening through Sunday night, I’m completely free to look after your pups and give them my full attention. Whether they love long countryside walks or just want to curl up on the sofa for snuggles, I’ve got them covered. I’m lucky to have lots of lovely walking routes nearby — perfect for getting some fresh air and tail wags in! And if your dog prefers a more relaxed vibe, they’re always welcome to make themselves at home and chill on the sofa with me. 🐕 I do work nearby so I am able to pop home on lunch breaks too 🐶 Your dog’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities. I live in a cozy house with a large, secure garden — perfect for safe playtime and fresh air. Being in a rural area means we’re surrounded by peaceful countryside walks and quiet lanes, ideal for relaxed strolls or energetic adventures, depending on your pup’s personality. I take every precaution to make sure your furry friend feels comfortable, cared for, and safe at all times. You can count on regular updates, plenty of photos, and complete peace of mind knowing your dog is in loving, responsible hands. 💛

About: I have a little pet care experience, watching over my friends cats Nelson and Dorito for a couple times. My family also had a German shepherd I used to look after. Fury friends always make me smile whenever I see them on the walk, and I dream about the day we’re going to welcome a dog to our home as well. I’m currently taking some time off work, so available most of the time during week and weekends as well, so gladly spend some quality time looking after your loved ones. I don’t have any pets, but your dog is going to be very loved by my family who adore pets as much as I do, if you need an over night stay.

About: Fully insured, 28 year old professional woman with over 10 years experience working with dogs. Dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities are welcome. I'm especially good with dogs that are misbehaved, anxious, or cautious of strangers. I spend a lot of time with the animals within my care in order to put them at ease and go at their own pace whilst maintaining their needs. I'm also more than happy to look after any of your more non-typical pets (see below). After a childhood spent around vast numbers of dogs of varying breeds, I'm very familiar with all the different types of personalities. I live in a house with dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, rescue-pigeons and pet rats and have vast experience looking after all of these species and am happy to help with your fluffy and unusual pets too. Your pets will be treated with love and care, and you can rest assured they're in very capable hands. Let me know your needs and I'll be more than happy to help out. I am available after 17:30 during the weekdays and fully available during weekends are currently my availability. I am happy to meet you prior to your first appointment to discuss the individual needs and requirements of your furry family members. House visits: Food and water refills, cuddles & attention, a leg stretch and perhaps letting them out in the yard (if available). Any messes will be cleaned up and disposed of properly. Walking: Dogs will be kept on lead at all times and walked locally to the owners property. I have experience with nervous and run-away dogs, so please feel at ease that your dog will be looked after responsibly whilst in my care. Any special requirements you have, please let me know.

Great couple, clearly having a magic touch with cats. Biscuit warmed up to them very quickly and was very relaxed and happy when we came home, which is a great sign. They sent daily pictures and videos which was a great touch. We'll definitely book with them again.

About: I have lived on a small holding my whole life, caring for various animals including domestic, farm, and exotic pets. I have been part of the Riding for Disabled and 4 the Love of Cats (charity), as well as having experience in training Police dogs and horses. I care for my parents three dogs (two Golden Retrievers and a Cocker Spaniel) at their home when they go away on holiday. I am currently not working, so I have a flexible schedule to care for your pets at any time of the day or night, other than Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I am happy to travel anywhere within my 10 mile working radius as I have a car, and can even take your pet out on a nature trip so long as they travel well. I am flexible in my care and can abide by any rules and schedules you set as long as you write it down for me.

About: Hi! I am just starting on this site formally so building my new profile but I have had dogs for over 30 years and have the most loving Staffy (Sapphy). I have many years of experience pet sitting for all kind of dogs, big and small, cute and cuddly, energetic non stop attention seekers and chilled sofa, grumpy won’t go out if it’s raining ones and I’ll only come near you if you have food ones and the very anxious ones that take a lot of time and patience to build their trust in you then become your shadow ones. I’ve looked after puppy’s in the process of potty & crate training and older dogs providing medicine and special care. I look after pets in their home so they get to stay in their own environment and keep their routine - including overnight stays if needed. I can provide all day or multiple visit approaches including a late visit and early morning visit if not staying the night. I’ve taken dogs for long long walks, ran around with frisbees and balls, taken them to hydrotherapy sessions or just for pool fun and shenanigans and spent all day cuddling the ones that just don’t want to do anything other than chill and sleep. I look after your house, moving mail away from the front door and leaving it clean and secure for you coming home. I work part time for a bank (8 years) from home so can care most days working out of your house or visiting regularly. Above all of the pet related care I provide, I can provide peace of mind that your home is safe and secure and 100% trust - which is why I provide an enhanced DBS check, you can visit me at my home so you can get a feel for me and build trust (I don’t board here), you can see any ID and I am always accessible for a FaceTime or call when I am caring for your pet with twice daily photos and updates. I currently work part time at home with 1 day in the office all day (usually a Tuesday) but don’t work at all Thursday to Sunday so specialise in long weekend care for those requiring all day and night sitting but if I can work from your house I am flexible and can cover longer holidays by changing my work schedule. I only care for pets in your home currently as my dog isn’t fond of anything furry! I can provide half hour visits once a day to full day and night care or multiple visit care where I would not leave them for more than a few hours in the day, making at least one visit mid day, one early morning visit and one evening visit to settle them down for the night. I work with you to deliver the best approach but never leave a dog more than 6 hours and only have one client booking at a time. It only ever me that would be in your home, no kids, no pets just me and your pets.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, small animals, and puppies. My background in education has taught me to be patient, observant, and highly attentive—qualities that translate directly into excellent pet care. I’m confident handling energetic pets who need active engagement as well as calmer or senior animals who require a gentler, more structured routine. What sets me apart from other sitters is my combination of reliability, genuine affection for animals, and strong communication skills. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and stimulated while keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages. I’m experienced with basic puppy training, reinforcing positive behaviours, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m also comfortable supporting senior pets with slower-paced walks, medication reminders, and extra care when needed. My goal is always to make your pet’s time with me feel like a second home—safe, fun, and full of love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I have plenty of availability and genuinely enjoy spending my time with animals. I’m flexible with scheduling and able to accommodate daytime, evening, and weekend bookings, which allows me to adapt to each pet’s needs and routine. Whether it's regular walks, drop-in visits, or longer stays, I’m able to give pets consistent attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I plan my schedule around the pets in my care, making sure they’re never rushed and always get the time, patience, and engagement they deserve. Safety and trust are my top priorities whenever I care for someone’s pet. Whether I’m looking after them in my home or in the owner’s home, I create a calm, structured, and secure environment so pets feel comfortable and owners feel confident. In a pet owner’s home, I follow all routines exactly as instructed—feeding schedules, walk times, house rules, and any special needs. I make sure doors and gates are always properly secured, keep a close eye on the pet’s behaviour, and maintain a clean, tidy environment. I respect the owner’s space and ensure their home is left just as I found it. I also provide regular updates so owners always know how their pet is doing.

Ally was superb with my pets, and very organised with the feeding and cleaning routines. Kitty is scared of everyone, usually hides away, but Kitty Sprinkles loves Ally, which was such a weight off my mind, knowing that I can go on holiday and Kitty was in such good hands. Thank you so much for your kind and caring nature towards my pets.

There are 1,592 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Barnsley. About 91% of Barnsley sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
