About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life, and I’ve always loved getting to know their individual personalities and quirks. I have experience caring for, walking and training my own dogs as well as friends’ dogs, from puppies through to older dogs and from confident characters to more anxious or reactive ones. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare and enjoy positive-reinforcement training, using clicker training and other reward-based techniques to teach plenty of fun tricks, as well as basic manners and boundaries, and to help dogs feel comfortable and confident in the world around them. I’ve also volunteered at a dog shelter, helping with walking and enrichment for dogs who needed a little extra patience and understanding. What I particularly enjoy is working out what makes each dog tick. Some love chasing a ball, some want to sniff every blade of grass, some enjoy learning tricks and others need time and space to build confidence. I don’t believe every dog needs the same walk or the same approach. I believe a good walk should provide plenty of physical exercise, while also giving dogs opportunities to explore, sniff, play and use their brains. I like to incorporate training and enrichment naturally into our adventures, whether that’s practising recall, learning a new trick, playing a scent game or simply giving them time to investigate their surroundings. I’m insured for dog walking and take safety seriously, but I also want dogs to have a genuinely lovely time with me to come home happy, stimulated, tired and ready for a good sleep! I’m flexible during the week and can offer walks and drop-in visits at different times of day. Before we get started, I like to arrange a meet and greet so I can get to know you and your pet, learn about their routine and make sure we’re a good fit. For longer adventure walks, I’m happy to travel to a variety of local green spaces. Each outing is tailored to your dog, whether they love exploring, need plenty of exercise or prefer a gentler pace. I offer one-to-one walks or very small groups of 2–3 compatible dogs, giving each dog plenty of care, attention and time to enjoy themselves. Before heading out, I’ll take the time to learn about your dog’s personality, routines, recall and any worries or boundaries they may have. My aim is for every dog to feel safe, happy and comfortable in my care.
“Alex agreed to do a drop in visit for our cocker spaniel at quite short notice. He did a meet and greet, our dog really liked him and his communication was great. We'd definitely book again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Alex!”

About: I love pets! I have been around them since I was born, as my parents got a dog before having children. I’m sensitive snd have a sense of kinship with pets, being the youngest child and all!!😁 I would be happy to help you with your pet caring needs. I can: - Go on a nice walk with your doggo, so you can have a relaxed and exercised pet (who will not destroy your favorite shoes!) when you get home. - Board them in my home during the day - Caring visits and spending time with them in your home during the day - Stay with them in your home while you’re away Each pet has different needs and preferences, so I’ll be very happy to discuss their needs, and yours. Please feel welcomed to send any inquiries on how I can help you with your pet caring needs! I’m a postgraduate student in a flexible, writing-up phase. I’m available from 8 am to 10 pm for dog walks, can fit around your schedule, and am available short-notice. I’m respectful and a good listener, so will be aware to and uphold any guidance and boundaries you communicate. I aim to leave things as I found them in any home that I am in. I have a home with a garden which I can host your pet in. I ask that you supply their usual supplies (food, accessories, toys, bedding), so they can be comfortable away from home. As I have 2 cats in my home, who are still getting used to dogs, I will not be able to provide overnight boarding. However, I am happy to look after your pet in your home overnight.
“Ada did amazing with our 7 month old border collie/lab, Duke! We are always nervous leaving our pup but Ada did great to communicate with us by sending updates with amazing pictures! We would for sure have Ada back to look after Duke in the future. Thanks again Ada!”

About: For the past two years, I have been the proud owner of a wonderful tabby cat. Being a cat parent has taught me firsthand the daily dedication it takes to care for a pet—from keeping up with feeding routines and litter box maintenance to reading feline body language and providing plenty of love and playtime. I have plenty of experience interacting with both dogs and cats in their homes. I frequently join family and friends on their dog walks, meaning I am comfortable on the leash, know how to handle dogs out in public, and love helping them burn off some energy. As I have just completed my A-levels, I have an entirely open and flexible schedule for the summer until mid-September! Because I don’t have daily work or university commitments right now, pet care easily fits into my routine. I am available all days of the week, morning through night, meaning your pet will get my full, undivided attention and companionship. I am dedicated to keeping a consistent routine for your pets, with the only exceptions being a few pre-planned summer holidays where I will be away: June 22nd – June 29th August 20th – August 27th August 29th – September 5th Outside of those specific dates, my schedule is completely clear and open for walks, daycare, or sitting When caring for pets, safety, routine, and personalized attention are my top priorities. Whether looking after an animal in my home or yours, I bring a high level of responsibility to their daily care. For dogs: I am lucky enough to live just a 10-minute walk away from Graves Park, where I go daily. I frequently join my neighbor and her puppy on these walks, giving me great, hands-on experience handling dogs outside, maintaining a secure grip on the leash, and being aware of our surroundings. If I am walking or sitting your dog, they will get lovely, energetic trips to the park to burn off energy, always tailored safely to their age, breed, and your specific instructions. For cats: As the sole carer for my own outdoor tabby cat, I completely understand the vigilance required to keep a pet safe. Because we don’t have a cat flap, I am used to closely monitoring my pet's whereabouts, ensuring she safely enters and leaves the house at the right times. I manage her strict twice-a-day feeding routine, keep her active with daily playtime, and—most importantly—make sure she gets plenty of cuddles and neck scratches on the sofa.
About: My rate is a bit lower right now since I'm new to the platform and want to start by earning your trust and building a strong track record of reviews. That said, please know I'll treat your pet with just as much love and care as I would my own :)) I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and it shows in how I care for them. The pug in my profile picture is a pet of my dearest friend, whom I've helped manage through an overweight condition: taking him to vet visits, planning his diet, and cooking him healthy homemade meals from scratch. I make a habit of feeding strays I pass on my way home. A few years ago, I also took in a stray dog who'd been abandoned, nursed him back to health, and helped find him a loving forever family, so I know what it takes to earn a nervous animal's trust. Whether it's a senior dog with special dietary needs or one who just needs a gentle hand, I bring patience, real experience, and genuine care to every furry friend I look after. I'm currently a Master's graduate looking for my next role, so I'm home most days and have a flexible schedule to offer. That means I can be fully present for walks, feedings, and playtime whenever your pet needs it. I'm happy to accommodate early mornings, late nights, or last minute requests, and I treat every stay like it's my own pet's routine: consistent, attentive, and never rushed. Your pet's safety and comfort come first. My home is a secure, calm environment , windows and doors stay closed, and anything harmful like cleaning supplies, medications, or toxic foods is kept well out of reach. Walks are always on-leash, and I stick to a consistent schedule for feeding and walks so your pet feels settled into a routine, not just passing through. I keep your vet's contact info and any care or medication instructions on hand at all times, and I'm prepared for basic first aid if anything comes up. Throughout the stay, I send photo and video updates so you can see exactly how your pet is doing, even when you're away.
“nichola was so amazing with yuumi! she helped us at such short notice and was so accomodating :) sent us updates with each visit and took great care of our kitten thank you so much!”

About: Hi, I’m a passionate animal lover living in Sheffield. I grew up around pets and deeply understand that dogs and cats aren't just animals—they are family. I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry companions behind, which is why my top priority is to provide reliable, high-quality care that keeps their usual routine intact. I have practical, hands-on experience looking after friends' and neighbors' pets. For example, I recently spent two days caring for a friend's dog who was a bit timid and nervous about being away from their owner. By spending quality time together, staying calm, and being patient, I successfully helped the dog settle down, feel comfortable, and enjoy their walks. Currently, I have a very flexible schedule, making me highly available throughout the week for dog walking and drop-in visits. Whether your pet needs a fun walk to burn off energy or just some friendly company, you can rest assured they are in safe, loving, and responsible hands. I currently have a highly flexible schedule, which allows me to seamlessly fit pet care into my weekly routine. I am available throughout the week for morning, midday, or afternoon dog walking and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. Because my hours are adaptable, I can easily accommodate your pet's usual routine—whether that means sticking to your dog's regular walk timings or ensuring your cat is fed and checked on at their exact usual meal times. Since I focus exclusively on drop-in visits and dog walking, my priority is maintaining safety and security in your pet's own familiar environment. During home visits, I am extremely mindful of household security, ensuring all doors and windows are safely locked so curious cats or dogs stay securely inside. When out walking dogs, they will always remain securely on-leash for their safety. For cat visits, I deeply respect their boundaries and let them set the pace for interaction while thoroughly managing their litter boxes, fresh water, and meals. I am a highly responsible person who will always send detailed photo updates of your happy cats or dogs after each visit for your total peace of mind! I also have a professional camera, so if you need portraits of your pet, I’d be happy to provide high-quality photos of your adorable furry friends.

About: I have a soft spot for senior pets, but a love for all! I can accomidate any medical needs and have worked with pets from all walks of life and rescue backgrounds. I am a neurodivergent women and a carer for my longtime partner with 2 elderly cats of my own so i am very flexible and enjoy the change in pace day to day! My cats want for nothing, living very fulfilling lives with enrichment coming out their ears! I'm happy to meet animals where they're at and give them the energy they need, from head pats on the sofa to bouncing off the walls.
“So pleased we booked with Sena! She was so friendly and patient and we loved the videos of the cuddles she was getting with our (usually very shy) cat. Thank you Sena, see you next time we go away!”

“Eugenie is so friendly and lovely! She took care of my sweet kitty Ari for 7 days and was terrific! She was very communicative, did everything I asked of her, and my very shy cat warmed up to her. I had to make a last minute change and she was very accommodating. I really appreciated her updates, photos, and videos she sent. My cat had some digestive issues and she informed me right away and was able to adjust to give her something for that. She even opened and shut the windows as needed. I couldn’t have asked for more and I will be using her in the future whenever I have to go away. Thank you Eugenie for giving Ari love, care, and attention!”

“Thank you so much for all your care for our little Fur baby. She is such a shy and timid little girl but it sounds like you two had such a great bond and she was so comfortable. This meant we could enjoy our trip knowing our Luna was in great hands, thank you ❤️”

“Joy was excellent with my two cats, specially Piku who gets stressed easily and has some past urinary blockage-related issues. Joy went above and beyond to take care of them, paying attention to their needs, letting them out for some fresh air and even providing extra time to accommodate any needs of the pets. I can’t thank Joy enough for her generosity and kindness towards my cats.”

About: I grew up with an anxious dog who’s always a little wary of other dogs, strangers and the vets. This didn’t stop BuBu from being my best friend growing up, as I’ve come to understand their need for space and trust. If you have a furry friend who’s a little anxious or gets nippy when scared, rest assured they will be under great care at our home. I have had plenty of experiences with small dogs in the past but would also be happy to provide walking services for bigger pups with good recall. My partner and I have also adopted a spoilt cat a couple years ago. You will see her in many of my pictures. Since then, Suki has made many friends (some of which you’ll see in the pictures as well). I work in the office from 8-5 from Mondays to Thursdays. On most days my partner will be home before 4pm. We are almost always around during term breaks and weekends and will be more than happy to accommodate the holiday seasons so you and your family can finally go on that trip you’ve been planning! We live in a pet friendly duplex and have space for your fur babies to warm up to the new environment at their own pace. Although we do have a cat at home , we will ensure that she is kept away from your baby and gradually introduce them if they tend to be quite shy.
“Nikeisha was fantastic looking after our pets :) I would 100% recommend Nikeisha to look after your pets for you. Communication was fantastic and gave us updates and pictures throughout our booking. We came home to two happy pets :)”
About: I grew up in a family that always had pets, especially dogs of all sizes, from Shih Tzu to Mastiff. In 2020, we adopted a kitten named Bagheera, and later, in 2021, we welcomed a puppy named Baloo into our family. I love spending time with them, especially taking Baloo for long walks. However, as I have recently moved to Sheffield, I find myself missing my furry companions during the week. Therefore, I am looking for companions I can care for. I am experienced in providing care for both cats and dogs, including walks and playtime. I work full-time with office hours from 9 am to 5 pm. However, I am available for a drop-in visit during lunchtime at 1:00 pm, as well as before and after my office hours. I'm also comfortable with doing sleepovers at the pet's home." I can provide all the necessary safety to your pets without compromising their play and walk times. I will make sure your dog is on the lead during walks.
About: I started by walking my own dog when I was 10, now I'm not in a position to have my own I love to meet and play with dogs and cats belonging to my family and friends. I'm friendly, caring and considerate, and quickly bond with animals. I have even become the second favourite person in the world to my sister's dog who doesn't give trust easily. I get a full on singing and dancing welcome every toner i visit! I have also built trust with an ex stray cat of my girlfriend, who has given meet kicks and likes to come for some fuss now and then. I work part time, between 8-10:30am and 2:30-4:30pm (or thereabouts) on weekdays, so i have plenty of time during the day to walk and care for your furry family. I'm also available dinner evenings and weekends too. I always leave other people's homes as I find them and maybe even a little better if there is time. I will make sure that your pet has water and anything else it reasonably needs for their health and safety before I leave.
About: I’ve lived in Sheffield for a few years and love getting out with dogs. I’m always keen to learn what works best for your pet so I can make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after 😊 I’m available most days at the moment as I’m studying medicine at uni. I live in a flat but would take your dog out regularly and for walks as specified by you :) I live alone so your pet will be the centre of my attention. We will always just walk the two of us, and I will follow any specific requirements you provide.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Willow received while we were away. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable knowing she was in such caring and capable hands. Willow was clearly very happy and well looked after, and it was lovely to receive updates while we were away, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was obvious that she received lots of love, attention and care. Thank you so much Michelle for looking after Willow so well. We would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and reliable cat sitter. We will certainly be using you again! 🐾❤️

We booked Helena at the last minute after being let down by another sitter at very short notice. She was absolutely fantastic, going out of her way on occasions to help make sure our cats (particularly one of them) were looked after, taking the stress away from us. We can’t recommend her enough! Her communication was regulary and gave us updates on all three of the cats. 100% will use Helena’s services again when we go away next.

Bronte was fantastic. It's the first time we have used a service like this and she made it so easy and reassuring. We received daily contact with pictures and when we returned from our holiday, we were welcomed by a very happy cat - which was exactly what we were hoping for. Will be asking Bronte to look after him next time we are away.

Ezra has been amazing looking after our cat while we’ve been away for a week - super reliable, trustworthy, and with a clear love for animals. Ezra even went above and beyond in handling an unexpected issue we had at home. We couldn’t ask for a better cat sitter.

I had never used a cat sitter before, so I was understandably quite nervous about leaving Luna in someone else’s care. However, Richard quickly put all my worries to rest. From our initial meeting, it was clear how passionate Richard is about cats. He asked thoughtful questions about Luna’s routine and took the time to understand her individual needs. He also came to the house beforehand to meet her and familiarise himself with where everything was kept. While I was away, Richard provided detailed updates on how Luna was doing, along with lovely photos. These updates really reassured me and made me feel much more relaxed about leaving her. I would absolutely book Richard again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, reliable and trustworthy cat sitter. Thank you so much, Richard!

Paola has been looking after Otto and Cleo for over 6 months when we need a cat sitter. She is extremely quick to respond, has been able to assist at short notice and she does a great job looking after the cats! Always lots of photos and videos and they are happy when we return! Can recommend her enough
Mel is a brilliant cat sitter and a lovely, warm person! After meeting Mel, I felt at ease that Fig would be well looked after. She was flexible with timings and sent us updates of the visits, as well as photos and videos of Fig eating and playing. We came back to a very happy cat. Thanks so much Mel! 😻

Ellen was prompt, communicative, and took excellent care of our cats. I could tell from the photos she sent that the cats felt very comfortable with her, and they were all as happy and healthy as could be when we returned home. Couldn't have asked for a better carer while we were away. Thanks again, Ellen!

We are very glad that we asked Helen to look after our cat Queenie while we were on holidays. She provided us with daily video updates which gave us peace of mind and were adorable to watch. Queenie can be shy at first, but she warmed up to Helen straight away. She happily rolled around the floor next to her, gave headbutts and came for cuddles and playtime. We came home to a happy cat and will definitely book Helen again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
