About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for over a decade. With cats in particular, I’ve developed deep, trusting bonds over time, understanding how unique each one is. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, whether your pet needs playtime, routine care, or just someone calm and reassuring to be around I’m currently a university student studying aerospace, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I have time throughout the week for check-ins, feeding, and spending quality time with your pet, and I make sure they’re not left alone for long. As a pet owner myself, I’m very patient and responsible, and I bring that into how I care for pets. I stick closely to your instructions and your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m especially mindful with cats, giving them space when needed and building trust at their pace. I’ll always treat your home and your pet with care and respect.
About: I've got plenty of experience with cats and dogs of all sizes, including long-term fostering of dogs and owning my own feisty Bengal cat! I can give you total peace of mind that your pets will be well looked after while you're away from home. I'm currently working part time, so I can easily fit your pet care into my daily routine. I'm happy to stay in your home or stop in for visits - whatever works best. I can stay in your home or stop by at regular intervals, depending on what works best for you and your pets. “Ada did an excellent job with Alfie, who is a n anxious cat and does not accept easily new people in the house. He usually run off. She was able to give him some treats and get him to stay around for a little time. She was easy to communicate with and followed all the instructions. I rebooked her already. Thank you Ada!”

“So pleased we booked with Sena! She was so friendly and patient and we loved the videos of the cuddles she was getting with our (usually very shy) cat. Thank you Sena, see you next time we go away!”

“So impressed by Soya's care and attention when looking after our two cats. She went the extra mile to make sure they had everything they needed and we came back to two very happy and well looked after kitties! She even stayed longer than required to make sure the little one had some time playing!”

“Jade is friendly and professional and took great care of Honey. She made the effort to come round beforehand for a meet with us and Honey which was really appreciated, and she provided updates throughout the drop in ☺️ thank you!”

About: I have extensive, hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals. From the age of 12, I grew up with Patterdale terriers, which were entered into dog shows and won terrier racing four years in a row. We also bred them, giving me early experience handling puppies, supporting early training, and understanding canine behaviour from a young age. I have been a horse rider for six years while growing up, which involved daily care, handling, grooming, and an understanding of animal responsibility and safety. I have also lived in two households with cats and have cared for a total of five cats, managing feeding routines, litter care, and individual temperaments. Alongside this, I have worked as a dog walker on and off throughout my life, handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and behavioural needs. This experience has made me confident, calm, and attentive when caring for animals, with a strong focus on their wellbeing, routine, and comfort. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I organise my schedule to ensure I can give animals consistent attention for feeding, walks, play, and companionship. I am reliable with routines and timings, and I plan my days so that pet care is never rushed. I am able to accommodate regular bookings as well as occasional or short-notice care, and I adjust my routine to suit each pet’s needs, whether that’s structured walk times, quiet check-ins, or longer stays. I care for pets in a calm, safe, and respectful way, whether in my own home or in a pet owner’s home. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, exercise needs, medication, and house rules, to keep pets comfortable and settled. In a pet owner’s home, I maintain a clean, secure environment and respect the space as I would my own. I ensure doors, gates, and windows are safely managed, and I keep routines as consistent as possible to reduce stress. I am attentive to pets’ behaviour and wellbeing and will contact the owner promptly if anything seems out of the ordinary. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, tidy environment with appropriate supervision, safe spaces to rest, and regular interaction. I never leave pets unsupervised for long periods and ensure they are secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Safety, trust, and clear communication are central to how I work, and I aim to give both pets and owners peace of mind.
“Nikeisha was fantastic looking after our pets :) I would 100% recommend Nikeisha to look after your pets for you. Communication was fantastic and gave us updates and pictures throughout our booking. We came home to two happy pets :)”
“Grace did a drop in visit for our two dogs, took them for a walk and fed them. All went well and we were able to enjoy our day trip knowing our dogs were being cared for. I would definitely use Grace again in the future.”

“Bethan was great! We had no worries about our cat while we were away as we knew he was in safe hands and had daily updates. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you!”

“Mason was incredibly helpful, stepping in to take care of our cats on short notice while we dealt with a family emergency. He was very capable and gave us regular updates to let us know the cats were fine which was very important to us as we didn’t have the mental space to be worrying about them as well. Our cats are a little skittish, and he managed that just fine, making sure that they were well cared for.”

About: I love pets! I have been around them since I was born, as my parents got a dog before having children. I’m sensitive snd have a sense of kinship with pets, being the youngest child and all!!😁 I would be happy to help you with your pet caring needs. I can: - Go on a nice walk with your doggo, so you can have a relaxed and exercised pet (who will not destroy your favorite shoes!) when you get home. - Board them in my home during the day - Caring visits and spending time with them in your home during the day - Stay with them in your home while you’re away Each pet has different needs and preferences, so I’ll be very happy to discuss their needs, and yours. Please feel welcomed to send any inquiries on how I can help you with your pet caring needs! I’m a postgraduate student in a flexible, writing-up phase. I’m available from 8 am to 10 pm for dog walks, can fit around your schedule, and am available short-notice. I’m respectful and a good listener, so will be aware to and uphold any guidance and boundaries you communicate. I aim to leave things as I found them in any home that I am in. I have a home with a garden which I can host your pet in. I ask that you supply their usual supplies (food, accessories, toys, bedding), so they can be comfortable away from home. As I have 2 cats in my home, who are still getting used to dogs, I will not be able to provide overnight boarding. However, I am happy to look after your pet in your home overnight.

Helen did a fantastic job of looking after my Otis, especially given that it was in the middle of a heatwave. Helen was quick to respond to my initial request and was kind and friendly when she came round to meet us and collect the keys. I received daily updates with pics, and I came home to a very happy cat! (There's also no sign of Otis's accident on the rug...) Thanks Helen! 😊

Kirsty was fantastic from start to finish! She came in and looked after my cats like they were her own, even popped in three times on a Saturday for my peace of mind! Every visit was accompanied by lovely photos and any updates. Will 100% book Kirsty the next time that I need a cat sitter.

Emily looked after our cat Peaches for us at short notice and was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout, making it easy to plan everything. She’s clearly very experienced in caring for cats with extra needs and was completely confident administering Peaches’ daily medication. We really appreciated the lovely photo updates and she even spent time sitting outside with Peaches and went the extra mile for her to be happy while we were away. Our cat was clearly in great hands and we will definitely book with Emily again :)

This is the first time Alex has looked after our cat. He has been very helpful throughout the process, and sent us great messages, pictures etc to let us know all was well. We have already booked Alex for another period and are happy that he will be taking care of Kishka again.
Joy looked after my two cats with two drop in visits per day over the course of a week. She was really lovely to speak with, both cats (one of who is very picky with people) absolutely adore her and she looked after them both brilliantly. Joy always shared a number of photos and a detailed report on the report cards which was really reassuring. Me and the rest of my family were able to relax while we were away, knowing they were in excellent hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joy, and would book her again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic from Bethany - she kept me informed every day and my cats took to her immediately, and they adored getting to see her for their visits (which is extra amazing, as they can sometimes be wary around new folks). Would highly recommend and will be booking again in the future next time I have a trip away.

Kathryn was very responsive and did a great job of looking after our cat Molly for a week whilst we were away. It was lovely receiving regular updates when Kathryn visited and Molly clearly took a shine to Kathryn by the end of the week. Thanks so much Kathryn!

Hellen was great, came to meet the cats and get to know their needs before we went away and then visited daily and provided picture updates 🙂 we came home to two very happy and well cared for cats, we’ll definitely be asking for future drop ins with Hellen for Debbie & Teena. Thanks again Hellen 🙂

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
