About: For the past two years, I have been the proud owner of a wonderful tabby cat. Being a cat parent has taught me firsthand the daily dedication it takes to care for a pet—from keeping up with feeding routines and litter box maintenance to reading feline body language and providing plenty of love and playtime. I have plenty of experience interacting with both dogs and cats in their homes. I frequently join family and friends on their dog walks, meaning I am comfortable on the leash, know how to handle dogs out in public, and love helping them burn off some energy. As I have just completed my A-levels, I have an entirely open and flexible schedule for the summer until mid-September! Because I don’t have daily work or university commitments right now, pet care easily fits into my routine. I am available all days of the week, morning through night, meaning your pet will get my full, undivided attention and companionship. I am dedicated to keeping a consistent routine for your pets, with the only exceptions being a few pre-planned summer holidays where I will be away: June 22nd – June 29th August 20th – August 27th August 29th – September 5th Outside of those specific dates, my schedule is completely clear and open for walks, daycare, or sitting When caring for pets, safety, routine, and personalized attention are my top priorities. Whether looking after an animal in my home or yours, I bring a high level of responsibility to their daily care. For dogs: I am lucky enough to live just a 10-minute walk away from Graves Park, where I go daily. I frequently join my neighbor and her puppy on these walks, giving me great, hands-on experience handling dogs outside, maintaining a secure grip on the leash, and being aware of our surroundings. If I am walking or sitting your dog, they will get lovely, energetic trips to the park to burn off energy, always tailored safely to their age, breed, and your specific instructions. For cats: As the sole carer for my own outdoor tabby cat, I completely understand the vigilance required to keep a pet safe. Because we don’t have a cat flap, I am used to closely monitoring my pet's whereabouts, ensuring she safely enters and leaves the house at the right times. I manage her strict twice-a-day feeding routine, keep her active with daily playtime, and—most importantly—make sure she gets plenty of cuddles and neck scratches on the sofa.

About: Hi! I’m a huge dog lover based in Sheffield with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to larger dogs. I’ve grown up around dogs and have helped train them to be crate trained, potty trained, and even learn fun tricks. I love getting outdoors for long walks and making sure every dog gets the exercise, attention, and affection they need. Whether your dog is energetic and loves adventures or prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles, I’ll tailor their care to suit their personality and routine. I live in a quiet, calm home where dogs can feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. I also have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for boarding, daycare, walks, and last-minute bookings whenever possible. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of love. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! 🐾 Pet care fits really well into my routine. I attend university roughly twice a week during term time and I climb around three times a week, but outside of that I have a very flexible schedule as I’m not currently working. This gives me lots of time and availability to dedicate to looking after pets, whether that’s walks, daycare, or boarding. I have a calm, pet-friendly home with no children, no other pets, and I do not smoke. I have an unfenced garden that is backed by houses away from roads, and dogs will always be supervised and taken out on a lead for regular toilet breaks. I can also offer frequent walks, with several nearby parks providing plenty of safe exercise and variety. Your dog will always be cared for in a safe, relaxed environment with their comfort and routine prioritised.

“Joy was excellent with my two cats, specially Piku who gets stressed easily and has some past urinary blockage-related issues. Joy went above and beyond to take care of them, paying attention to their needs, letting them out for some fresh air and even providing extra time to accommodate any needs of the pets. About: I've had animals in my family home since I can remember, from cats, rabbits, rodents, birds, and different types of dog breeds (westies, boxers and dachshunds). I love the company of animals and treat them with care, respect and love. I'm currently taking an academia break following the completion of my PhD, so I have a lot of free time between writing papers and going to the gym. I am located central in Sheffield. I have a hamster at home (named Ozzy), who does not require timely care so I am widely available to help out with your pets needs. I wouldn't be able to offer services within my own home, however if we were able to build a trusting mutual relationship I would consider overnight care within your own home after a discussion of pet care needs.
“Grace did a drop in visit for our two dogs, took them for a walk and fed them. All went well and we were able to enjoy our day trip knowing our dogs were being cared for. I would definitely use Grace again in the future.”

About: Grew up on a farm, had multiple dogs from a young age; patterdale terriers and a German Wirehaired Pointer. Ever since, I've always loved playing and taking care of my friends' and family's dogs. My favourite was the runt of the litter of one of my mum's dogs who I persuaded my mum to keep, and she turned into a lovely ball of fluffy fun who was always by my side! I am currently very free and available so I can accommodate any time you require, especially weekdays. I do have less flexibility over the weekend. I'm very safety conscious, taking your needs and requirements into consideration. I do live in a 4th floor flat with no lift with pet owners on each floor so I will ensure your dog is on a lead and under control whilst going up and down the stairs.

About: I've taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was about 8 years old. Growing up on a working farm, we always had much loved pets. Friends and family have relied on me to house sit while looking after their pets, taking them on long walks, playing with them, and feeding them. I’m experienced with handling multiple animals, including special needs senior doggies and high energy puppies of all sizes. I love all animals, and adore dogs especially. Pet sitting is a happy medium for me as I cannot have pets in my current rented accommodation. I'm currently working part time remotely, so I will have plenty of time to take your dog on long walks (or runs for those energetic pups) and play with it. I'm available for boarding throughout the week. I will be very happy to take your dog on plenty of walks and/or just be the best cuddle buddy. I will provide all the care, attention, and love to your beloved pet as if it was my own.

“Elena responded very quickly to our enquiry to look after our cat Rosy while we were on holiday, and was proactive about understanding Rosy’s needs and routine, asking insightful questions. We received many photos and notes while we were away, which gave us plenty of assurance that Rosy was being cared for very well. We returned home to a happy and content cat! Claire looked after Ralphie and Tigger while I waa out for the day. I came home to happy animals. Claire kept me updated. Fed the cat and dog, Played with them and took Ralphie for a walk. Very happy with Claire’s service and communication definitely recommend. Thanks Claire

I am so glad I chose Nichola to do drop on visits for my elderly dog, Lola. Nichola was fantastic with her, and clearly understood the needs of an older dog. She arrived at the agreed times every day, and she sent me loads of photos each day, and I could see that Lola was happy and got cuddles and attention from Nichola.

Lois is a very friendly trustworthy person. She did a meet and greet with my dog and came to do a dog visit. Uploaded pictures of my dog for peace of mind and gave a brief overview of the visit. Will deffo be asking Lois to look after my dog again, highly recommend.

Lexi did a drop in visit for George (our harrier hound). Lexi took him a decent walk and kept me up to date and followed up the next day asking how he was. Lexi popped round and did a meet and greet beforehand and was very friendly and asked all the right questions I would definitely recommend

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
