About: I love pets! I have been around them since I was born, as my parents got a dog before having children. I’m sensitive snd have a sense of kinship with pets, being the youngest child and all!!😁 I would be happy to help you with your pet caring needs. I can: - Go on a nice walk with your doggo, so you can have a relaxed and exercised pet (who will not destroy your favorite shoes!) when you get home. - Board them in my home during the day - Caring visits and spending time with them in your home during the day - Stay with them in your home while you’re away Each pet has different needs and preferences, so I’ll be very happy to discuss their needs, and yours. Please feel welcomed to send any inquiries on how I can help you with your pet caring needs! I’m a postgraduate student in a flexible, writing-up phase. I’m available from 8 am to 10 pm for dog walks, can fit around your schedule, and am available short-notice. I’m respectful and a good listener, so will be aware to and uphold any guidance and boundaries you communicate. I aim to leave things as I found them in any home that I am in. I have a home with a garden which I can host your pet in. I ask that you supply their usual supplies (food, accessories, toys, bedding), so they can be comfortable away from home. As I have 2 cats in my home, who are still getting used to dogs, I will not be able to provide overnight boarding. However, I am happy to look after your pet in your home overnight.
“Nikeisha was fantastic looking after our pets :) I would 100% recommend Nikeisha to look after your pets for you. Communication was fantastic and gave us updates and pictures throughout our booking. We came home to two happy pets :)”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since the age of 14. I was the neighbourhood/ family friend dog sitter. Pet sitting in their homes as well as dog walking I was the go to girl. I have an older frenchie, who is crate trained and low energy 90% of the time (loves play and snoozing). If your animals do not get on with others, he has an alternate owner to stay with. Please just let me know. I work from home permanently so your pets needs will fit into my work schedule very easily. Whether I am pet sitting in your home or dropping by my full attention will be to your animals. If your dogs are ok with others, Charlie would love a park play date / walk. I will dedicate 4-5hrs at a time for your pet as well as sleepovers if they do not get along with others (Charlie). Let me know your preferences as I will split my morning and afternoons. From playtime, walks and park fun your pet will have a purfect day. My full attention will cater to any special needs. If training is required please let me know what the training plan, words etc are so I can make sure your pup is on track.

About: I've taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was about 8 years old. Growing up on a working farm, we always had much loved pets. Friends and family have relied on me to house sit while looking after their pets, taking them on long walks, playing with them, and feeding them. I love all animals, and adore dogs especially. Pet sitting is a happy medium for me as I cannot have pets in my current rented accommodation. I'm currently working part time remotely, so I will have plenty of time to take your dog on long walks (or runs for those energetic pups) and play with it. I'm available for boarding throughout the week. I will be very happy to take your dog on plenty of walks and/or just be the best cuddle buddy. I will provide all the care, attention, and love to your beloved pet as if it was my own.
“Grace was a fab cat sitter. Very friendly, communicative & kind. My cat liked her company and I came home to a very happy kitty! Fully recommend & Stickers hopes you can come again next time 🥰 x”

About: I’ve lived in Sheffield for a few years and love getting out with dogs. I’m always keen to learn what works best for your pet so I can make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after 😊 I’m available most days at the moment as I’m studying medicine at uni. I live in a flat but would take your dog out regularly and for walks as specified by you :) I live alone so your pet will be the centre of my attention. We will always just walk the two of us, and I will follow any specific requirements you provide.
“Lois is a very friendly trustworthy person. She did a meet and greet with my dog and came to do a dog visit. Uploaded pictures of my dog for peace of mind and gave a brief overview of the visit. Will deffo be asking Lois to look after my dog again, highly recommend.”

About: Hi! I’m a huge dog lover based in Sheffield with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to larger dogs. I’ve grown up around dogs and have helped train them to be crate trained, potty trained, and even learn fun tricks. I love getting outdoors for long walks and making sure every dog gets the exercise, attention, and affection they need. Whether your dog is energetic and loves adventures or prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles, I’ll tailor their care to suit their personality and routine. I live in a quiet, calm home where dogs can feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. I also have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for boarding, daycare, walks, and last-minute bookings whenever possible. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of love. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! 🐾 Pet care fits really well into my routine. I attend university roughly twice a week during term time and I climb around three times a week, but outside of that I have a very flexible schedule as I’m not currently working. This gives me lots of time and availability to dedicate to looking after pets, whether that’s walks, daycare, or boarding. I have a calm, pet-friendly home with no children, no other pets, and I do not smoke. I have an unfenced garden that is backed by houses away from roads, and dogs will always be supervised and taken out on a lead for regular toilet breaks. I can also offer frequent walks, with several nearby parks providing plenty of safe exercise and variety. Your dog will always be cared for in a safe, relaxed environment with their comfort and routine prioritised.
About: Experienced and caring pet sitter specializing in dogs. I’ve successfully cared for a wide variety of dog breeds including Corgi, Husky, German Shepherd, Yorkie, Cockapoo, Alaskan Malamute, Shih Tzu, and many more. I also have experience with cats, turtles, hamsters, and other small pets. Whether it’s an energetic puppy, a calm senior dog, or any other furry (or scaly) friend, I truly understand their needs and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. As a work-from-home professional, I have the flexibility to provide exceptional care for pets. My schedule allows me to be available throughout the day, ensuring their needs are met with attention and consistency. I must not walk dogs near dangerous areas and always ensure they stay away from the road. As a pet owner of both dogs and cats, I will never put them at risk, and their safety is my top priority. Additionally, I will not walk cats or bring them outside, and I will keep them safe from household dangers like toxic plants, open windows, or small objects.
“Grace did a drop in visit for our two dogs, took them for a walk and fed them. All went well and we were able to enjoy our day trip knowing our dogs were being cared for. I would definitely use Grace again in the future.”

“Taylor has been wonderful with our puppy! She was really positive when we met at the meet and greet and bonded instantly with our pup. She has been such a help with home puppy visits and has worked on basic skills with our puppy each time which has been a great help. She keeps us up to date with lots of photos and updates which has been really reassuring. Would thoroughly recommend Taylor and we will be continuing to use her!”

“So impressed by Soya's care and attention when looking after our two cats. She went the extra mile to make sure they had everything they needed and we came back to two very happy and well looked after kitties! She even stayed longer than required to make sure the little one had some time playing!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and couldn’t imagine my life without them. I have experience working at a hydrotherapy for dogs bringing them playtime and assisting rehabilitation services. I currently have 2 little dogs and a big dog and handle them all on one walk. The oldest is 16and has needs a lot of care and medicine which I administrate so I am confident in this department. I am currently studying my physiotherapy masters at Sheffield Hallam University! My course is very independent so I am pretty flexible. I’m no longer surrounded by my furry friends but still find myself doing plenty of walks a day. I would love to help anyone out who is needing an extra hand with their dogs! The only day I am unavailable is Mondays because of other work commitments. My family have 3 dogs at the moment. I am no longer living at home at the moment but I played a big part in looking after all of them as they are all very different. We have a 16 year old dog who needs a lot of care who I mostly take care of. The youngest is 3 and doesn’t come off the lead but loves going on walks. My other dog is 9 who loves being off his lead and chasing his ball, he has a lot of energy to play which I love to entertain!

Lois is a very friendly trustworthy person. She did a meet and greet with my dog and came to do a dog visit. Uploaded pictures of my dog for peace of mind and gave a brief overview of the visit. Will deffo be asking Lois to look after my dog again, highly recommend.

Lexi did a drop in visit for George (our harrier hound). Lexi took him a decent walk and kept me up to date and followed up the next day asking how he was. Lexi popped round and did a meet and greet beforehand and was very friendly and asked all the right questions I would definitely recommend

Taylor took Benji for a walk for me while I was away for the day. She sent me loads of updates and pics so I felt reassured that he was ok. It had been a while since she last looked after him, so she made an effort to win him over with treats and a fuss. I'll definitely be using Taylor again in the future when I need help.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
