About: Hi! I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals and helping people. I’m currently looking after a 13-year-old King Charles Spaniel on a temporary basis. She’s a lovely, quiet older girl, and I enjoy giving her the calm, gentle care she needs at this stage of life. I also gained lots of hands-on experience helping at my partner’s mum’s home, where she has dachshunds, huskies, and puppies. I regularly fed them, cleaned out their spaces, let them out for walks, and gave them plenty of attention and playtime. I’m comfortable with different breeds, energy levels, and ages – from lively young pups to calm seniors. As a carer by nature, I’m patient, responsible, and attentive. Whether it’s a daily walk, feeding, playtime, or just keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every animal like my own. I’m happy to look after dogs. I’d love to help you and your furry friends! Im currently unemployed so have a lot of free time to care for your pet! I will care for them as needed, they will be fed, go on walks and have a lot of fuss! I have a big back garden where the dogs will be able to run around, enjoy themselves! They will be able to go on many walks with myself at the local park which is 5 minute walk away

Alice and her Partner have been absolutely brilliant. They have looked after Winnie so well, even taken her out for longer and to the Pub for tea with them! They genuinely love your dog like you would want them to and they have handled her well when she can be a bit tricky around Cats! I can’t recommend them enough.

About: I’ve taken care of many pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits and even smaller animals such as hamsters. I make sure to work with the owner and provide a safe and comfortable environment for any pet I am responsible for. I make it a point to learn a bit about the pets personality beforehand to make boost the owners confidence with me as well as making sure the pet has the same care they’re used too. I also don’t fuss and get the job done to the best of my abilities I’m currently a university student so I have a lot of time to take care of your pets. I have a lot of free time so this is perfect for me. At a pet owners home I will make sure I am aware of where everything is, such as emergency supplies, food, toys etc. This will make sure I have all the resources available in any situation. I will also make sure the pets routine is not disturbed by having me taking care of it by doing everything exactly how the owner tells and advises me to do it.

I can throughly recommend Yeru for looking after your pet. She came and spent an hour of her own time, to meet Mopsy (he doesn’t like strangers) and see if they would get along. He loved her as soon as they met, so I knew he would be okay. I went through everything Yeru needed to know about his care, and felt confident she would be okay with him. She did everything I asked of her, was clean and tidy and respectful of my property. On many days, she also spent longer with him then the 30 minutes that Rover allowed, I can only guess they were having fun together, and lost track of time. From the video and pictures she sent me on a twice daily basis, I could see my dog was happy and well. She’s polite and punctual and a really nice person, and I really hope she will be available the next time I need a pet sitter.

About: I started walking my friend’s dog when I was small, which gave me experience in taking care of a dog and ensuring it has a good walking experience. I’m currently a full-time sociology student studying in university but my course workload isn’t heavy, so I have plenty of time for dog care jobs. For bordering service, I have a large grassy garden that provides a comfortable and safe space for dogs to run around. There are also plenty of green areas near my home, which are great for walking dogs.

About: I have over 15 years of personal experience caring for cats, from growing up with my family’s 12-year-old senior cat to co-owning a cat for 4 years. I truly understand feline behavior, boundaries, and how to make them feel safe. I've even successfully trained cats to walk on a leash and play treat-guessing games! I am a regular, trusted cat sitter for my friends' pets, and I recently completed a wonderful month-long boarding stay for a cat at my place. I live on my own in a large, quiet house with a big garden, making it a peaceful, stress-free environment for your pets. I have a lot of love to give and plenty of free time right now to focus entirely on your furry friends, whether they stay at my home or I visit yours. While cats are my specialty, I am also very open to hosting or visiting calm, friendly dogs to expand my care experience! I work completely from home, which means my schedule is highly flexible and I am around all day. Your pet will never be left alone for long periods. My daily routine revolves around providing consistent companionship, sticking strictly to your feeding and medication schedules, and building in plenty of dedicated time for play, grooming, and mental stimulation (or leash walks if they are trained for it!). Because I have a lot of free time right now, your pet will truly be my top priority. In My Home: I live alone in a large, quiet house with a big, secure garden, offering a peaceful environment free from the stress of children or other resident pets. Before any stay, I meticulously pet-proof the space. Your pet will have full freedom to roam, explore, and find their favorite cozy spots. I am extremely mindful of open doors and windows to ensure absolute safety. In Your Home: I treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping everything clean and secure. During drop-in visits, I focus entirely on making your pet feel safe and loved while you are away. Communication: Trust is everything to me. I will send you daily updates, photos, and videos so you can see exactly how much fun and love your furry friend is getting!

About: I've done a lot of cat sitting, usually over a long period of time. Additionally I've had a pet dog for the majority of my life. I'm currently at NTU in my second year. So I should have lots of spare time to walk and care for pets. I'm avaliable mostly in the evenings from 4 and in gaps during lectures and seminars I'm very accustomed to caring for pets, especially dogs and cats. So I will have no trouble feeding and walking pets in a pets owners home.

About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember but was never allowed my own dog throughout my childhood. So, when I was 12 years old, I started taking the neighbour’s dog for walks instead :) What began with one friendly old German Shepherd that I walked once or twice a week, turned into so many different dogs of various breeds, ages, and personalities over the years that I can barely count them all anymore. Every dog I have ever taken care of over the past 14 years still has a very special place in my heart. I always try my absolute best to make every dog as comfortable and happy as possible, whether that’s in my home or in their own, and adapt my routines to their unique personalities and needs. I have experience with dogs of almost all sizes and ages, including puppies and seniors as well as dogs with disabilities. Whether your dog is super playful and outgoing or more on the anxious side needing a little more time to settle in, I will always make sure they receive exactly the care they need in a way that works for them. If you think your dog would enjoy going on adventures with us, please don’t hesitate to send me a message! 🥰 I work as a bartender in the city centre, which means I’m usually free until 4/5pm on most days except for Friday & Saturday, where I’m typically working earlier in the day already and therefore often unavailable. When given enough notice, I am able to be somewhat flexible with overnight stays as well as weekend visits or other requests outside of my usual availability, so please feel free to drop me a message either way to see if we can work something out! ☺️ Polli is allowed to go everywhere in the house that I go, including on beds and sofas. Whether it is in our home or in yours, your dog will be treated and cared for like a true member of our little family.

About: I have a gap in fostering dogs right now and would love to offer help with your furry friends so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I have my own business and work from home so am pretty flexible to whatever your pets requires to feel at ease. I’m often around and can pick up last minute requests. I’ve joined rover as a sitter because I usually foster dogs and have struggled to find reliable, local sitters and so understand the importance of what is needed when you leave your loved one with a sitter while you are away. Whether it be while you’re at work or on holiday, rest assured your baby will be loved and cared for. I have a small but enclosed garden with 6 foot fencing which is perfect for a run around. I offer a tailored service so we can talk about what best suits your dog when we meet.

Looking after a pet can be a daunting task, feeding, walking, and looking after its health. I would imagine it’s even more difficult, when it’s someone else’s pet, but Jing skilfully took on that challenge looking after Mopsie and did an amazing job. She came to meet him in her own time, so he would know her and not be scared when they next met. She took excellent care of him while I was away, sending me pictures and videos every day, so I would not worry. She followed everything that I asked her to do without question. She was respectful of my home, keeping everything tidy, and secure. She even stayed much longer than the 30 minutes I booked her for on many occasions. I can throughly recommend Jing to look after your pet, and I’m hoping she will be available in December when I have another trip away, because I’d love her to look after Mopsie again.

Our ex-racer, Bea, is very anxious outside the house and despises getting into cars however doesn't mind being left alone at home. When I had to go away for 4 days, having someone drop into her a few times in the day for toilet breaks, food & medications, and company was the perfect solution. I had never used Rover before. Laura and Tim were very quick to respond to my request and arranged to call over to meet Bea first. Bea had a wonderful time, I loved recieving the picture updates of her (predominantly snoozing and snuffling) and I felt relaxed knowing she was in safe hands! Thank you so much both.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
