“Adrienne has looked after our rescue staffie Daisy at our house a couple of times now and we would definitely recommend her. Communication has been consistently quick and easy and Adrienne is friendly and professional 🙂! Daisy is dog reactive and quite strong on the lead and Adrienne was confident managing this, she listened well to our advice regarding strategies to manage her reactivity and asked sensible questions. Daisy is definitely a fan of Adrienne and we have booked multiple other dates for sitting 🐕”

“Really great, confidence inspiring sitter. Got on famously with our little bit tricky border terrier and I think the dog is missing Devon! Had a useful meet and greet beforehand and Devon really cared for our boy - even in the heatwave. Excellent service, would use again and highly recommended”

“It was lovely to get to know Hannah! Right from the start the communication was clear and honest. Despite the fact that her own dog got ill we could work around it and all went smooth. Zeeno was very happy and contented when we got home and the house was in excellent condition! Thank you Hannah for an excellent service and honestly hope that it will not be the last time!”

“Peyton has looked after our gsd cross Sammy a couple of times now and we can’t speak highly enough. She’s super friendly, always responds quickly and we feel 100% comfortable and confident leaving him with her. He’s always super happy to see her and is his normal happy self when we get back”

“Negin was wonderful looking after Luna. Very kind, helpful and sent regular picture and general updates from home. When I returned, Luna was so happy and I can’t thank Negin enough for making leaving her, so easy and stress free. It’s so lovely to be able to trust someone new with your animal from the outset and Negin made that process so easy and comfortable. Thank you so much Negin. I will without a doubt be asking you to look after Luna for me again ☺️”

“I had to use this app to each out last minute to find a sitter, due to a cancellation, and I couldn’t be more happy. Andreia was great with my dogs, especially consider one of them is a bit of a nervous wreck. Have booked more dates with Andreia and using her as my new sitter. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing pet sitters! My cats Beau and Myles were so well taken care of and loved. I came home to some very happy kitties. They also provided regular updates via text so I was always reassured. I highly recommend! 😻😻”

“Freddy has been a life-saver. I have needed to leave Irma with him to attend interviews and house-viewings and he has been amazing with her. Very trustworthy and Irma is always happy and well-taken care of.”

“We're so grateful to Alice and Tommy for the lovely care and attention they gave to our little Patty. They gave him lots of exercise and opportunities too explore and sniff. Also ensured they made time to rest before ball games in the garden. They took really good care of our house and left everywhere clean and tidy. We felt they were genuine, trustworthy and very kind young people who we'd have no hesitation is asking again .We received photo's and video's which was very reassuring, we felt our little Patty was in safe hands as well as having kisses and cuddles. We would highly recommend Alice and Tommy to care for your pets.”

“I booked Nicola to look after my big quirky greyhound Blossom for 1 night/2 days. Nicola was super responsive to all of my Rover messages and promptly arranged a meet and greet so she could meet us ahead of the booking and understand Blossoms needs. She arrived on time for both the meet and greet and the booking, did a great job taking care of Blossom, and left my house in perfect condition. She also provided regular updates. Will definitely use again in the future!”

“It was a pleasure to have Cara looking after Zeeno and Loki! They were very happy when we got home and communication with Care was easy . Thanks Cara for your help and we would love to use you again if needed!”

“Laura and Tim looked after our two sausage dogs and two cats for 10 days whilst we were on holiday. They stayed at our house. All communication was great and they were really reliable. We had lovely updates and photos whilst we were away and all the animals were very happy. The house was also left in a great condition. I would highly recommend them. Thanks much for looking after all the animals so well.”

“Abby is a sweet young lady! she arrive early so we could provide instructions & care for our girls. Our two small dogs took to her immediately as she meet them with attention & love. We were visiting Nottingham and wanted time to visit the town without the girls. Abby provided love & care! I would highly recommend Abby to care for your animals. 💕”

“On returning home after my trip, I came back to a very happy, healthy, well fed Mopsy. As usual Yeru has done a fine job. I feel she may have struggled a little with uni work, and looking after Mopsy, but that is my fault really, as I have her virtually no notice. I think it may have only been four days, but if she hadn’t stepped up, I would have had to cancel my trip, as there’s no one else, I’d be happy to trust with my dog. I’d throughly recommend Yeru, and hope she is available in the summer, when I go on holiday again. 🤞”

About: I've taken care of family and friend's pets of all kinds for almost 10 years now! I've grown up in a house where I'm constantly around animals, so have experience taking care of different types of pets every day. I'm often asked to care for friend's and families pets when they're away, and have grown a lot of trust in them to care for their animals to the best of my ability! I've just completed college, so I'm home constantly and will always be available for whenever you or your animal needs me, as I have no other obligations as of now! I have a fenced off, animal safe garden, as well as a clean, safe home for your pet to have free range of! When house sitting, I provide overnight services in order to ensure your pets routine is kept as close to normal as possible in order to reduce any anxiety from both you, and them!
About: I've been taking care of pets for several years, including dogs, cats, and small animals. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with daily walks, feeding, and general companionship. I really enjoy spending time with animals and always make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and routine to make sure they feel safe and happy. I am currently on summer holidays, before I go to uni in September. I am available all throughout the week, and weekends work as well, but after 2pm on Saturdays. I am more then happy to drop by for walks, company and feedings. When pets stay at my place, I make sure they feel as comfortable as possible. I set up a clean, safe space for them and stick to the routine their owner provides—like feeding times, walks, and any favorite toys or habits. I give them plenty of attention and make sure they get playtime, exercise, and rest. I always check in with the owner to see if there’s anything specific they want me to follow while their pet is with me. I would do the same when in the owners home.
“Sarah did a great job dog sitting Clover and Neville whilst we were away for the day, she sent updates and photos and both pets were happy with her, even shy Neville came out to say hello. Puppies can be a bit of a pain but she managed Clover well (sorry about her stealing everything!). Thank you :)”

“A really positive experience. Sarah looked after our dog and house well. She followed our instructions regarding food and walks which is important to us. Sarah is friendly and communicated well. I'm happy to rebook.”

Andreia has just spent 2 days house sitting for my elderly cat she was constantly sending me up dates and pictures to reassure me and promptly messaged me back when I sent her a text message , Andreia was very helpful in bringing in my parcels and left our house clean and she was respectful I’m very pleased with the care she gave to my cat and will contact Andreia again if I need her to look after my pets , the only improvement I would suggest is that I booked a start time for 10 .30 am and the night before I was in a bit of a panic as Andreia changed the time and we were due to go on holiday however Andreia did arrive at the changed time very promptly and was excellent all throughout her looking after my cat Thankyou Andreia. Very happy 😊😀

Hannah looked after Aiko for us for 9 days. We received daily updates and lovely photos whilst we were away. He was happy and had lots of snuggles and lovely walks. Kept him in his routine and also looked after our house. Fantastic communication. Would highly recommend ⭐️

Olivia was great with our two spaniels. Olivia stayed at our house for 4 nights whilst we were away. Olivia was brilliant with her communication, giving us updates throughout and we could tell our pooches were cared for and got lots of cuddles. I would highly recommend Olivia and we will definetly have her to look after our dog in the future. Thanks Olivia :)

Absolutely brilliant Great communication from start to finish. Our dog Indie took to Abigail straight away. She looks happier and healthier than when we left her! Would thoroughly recommend Abigail to anyone looking for any kind of dog sitting/walking/boarding. Will definitely be using again

Adrienne regularly looks after our dog Daisy at our house while we're at work. Daisy is always so excited to see her (she lies at the top of the stairs and stares at the front door awaiting her arrival!!) and is always content when we return home with all needs met. We receive cute updates and Adrienne is very communicative when it comes to arranging sitting.

We've used Jessica a few times, she has never disappointed and on this occasion came to sit my puppy Willow on a last minute request. She sends regular photo updates and is great at letting Willow lead (ie. If she wants interaction or not as she is still young & shy with new people).

Scarlet has been an absolutely amazing dog sitter for my two Shih Tzus. From the moment we met her, it was clear how caring, reliable, and genuinely loving she is with dogs. She kept them happy, comfortable, and well looked after, and I had complete peace of mind while away. She was attentive to their routines, gave them lots of affection and care, and kept me updated regularly, which I really appreciated. My dogs were relaxed and happy around her, which says everything. I would highly recommend Scarlet to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and responsible dog sitter. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of them!

I am so glad Olaya agreed to take care of my cat Mimi for 4 days. Olaya is excellent with cats, and has really good and calm energy - Mimi opened up to her in minutes. Olaya took the time to engage with Mimi with toys and ensured no disruption to her routine. Olaya is also highly responsible, and she paid a lot of attention to detail, and I felt extremely assured about leaving Mimi in her care. All the information regarding Mimi’s routines as well as the apartment were handled with care and honesty which I really appreciate. Communication was excellent where I received many updates on Mimi. Olaya left my apartment extremely tidy! I am really thankful to Olaya and I would certainly recommend her to anyone looking for an extremely responsible and caring sitter.

Shani is absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much for helping us out at such short notice. She took the time to meet our pup, Casper, beforehand to make sure they were a good match, which we really appreciated. Communication was quick and easy, and it was clear from the start how kind and affectionate she is with dogs. We had lots of pictures and updates sent to us through the day on his wellbeing and put us completely at ease knowing Casper was in such safe and loving hands. I came home to a happy and relaxed pooch, and it’s obvious he had a great time. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Shani again—highly recommend! 😊

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Nottingham walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nottingham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
