“Niki did a brilliant job with our two cats, Billy and Pablo. We gave her a challenging situation with an elderly cat who sleeps a lot and a young cat, who loves to play. She asked about their likes and dislikes and how they reacted with one another. Their strong food drive is their only shared trait and Niki fed them separately, in their favourite places, to prevent fighting. She sent photos and updates every day, and the cats looked happy and healthy when we got back. The house was lovely and tidy, too. We'll certainly rebook!”
About: I have always been around dogs since I was born. I am well educated on how to recognise what a dog needs and how to care for them. As well as looking after my own dogs, I began frequently taking on pet-sitting jobs for my neighbours when I became old enough. I also participated in helping dogs train for agility competitions. I also have a lot of experience with having owned rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. I graduated university last year with a BSc in Psychology with Criminology, and I am hoping to use Rover to gain further experience with animals in a professional setting with plans that I will become a Clinical Animal Behaviourist in the future (after funding and completing my Level 7 qualification). About: I’ve always had animals in my life—dogs, cats, and even exotics. In Spain, my family and I share our home with three dogs and four cats. I love being around them and truly understand their needs, routines, and little quirks. Right now, I care for many pets from friends and colleagues who trust me not only because I’m a vet, but because I genuinely adore animals. My home is a calm, safe space—no other pets or children—so your companion gets relaxed, one-on-one attention. Because I travel a lot and live on my own, I can’t have my own pets at the moment. That means I can give 100% of my time and attention to yours, treating them like family. By the way, I’m a qualified vet—so your furry (or scaly!) friends are in safe, caring hands. I work four days per week from 9 am to 6:00 pm, with weekends off. During working days, I am available for morning and evening care, and I can also use my break to check on or walk your dog if needed. On weekends, I have full availability and can stay with your pet, providing more consistent care, companionship, and attention. I don’t have pets of my own, so your pet will feel right at home with me and get all my attention and affection. They’re more than welcome on the sofa and bed, and I’m happy for them to sleep with me if that’s what they’re used to. We have two large dogs who each have their own 'problems' and we have been turned down a lot in the past. About: I have had animals my whole life! I regularly house-sit for my parents to look after 3 energetic collies, 1 cat and 1 horse. I live on Alvaston Park, so I’m very close to a lovely place to take dogs out. I have grown up with big dogs, including ridgeback and wolf hounds, and would be happy to go on longer walks for longer legs. I do work full time but would be happy to take dogs out for evening walks. On the days where I work from home I can take dogs out for a quick lunch time leg stretch. I will respect and follow any rules and guidance that owners give me to ensure the safety of their pet. If specialist harnesses are required I will ensure they’re used.

“Jerry and Jess watched Coco for us over Christmas and New Year holidays. Coco was recovering from some health issues so we wanted a sitter that would stay in our house to make things as easy on Coco as possible. Jerry and Jess took incredible care of Coco while we were away. They were diligent about giving medications, sent photos and videos everyday, and gave her lots of cuddles! Most importantly, they got Coco to eat 2-3 times a day when we sometimes struggle to get her to finish a single meal. Coco had lost weight during her illness and was very skinny when we left. By the time we'd returned home, she no longer felt bony and we could feel that she'd put on weight. A recent vet visit confirms that she's gone up from 5.9kg to 6.3kg, very nearly back to her normal weight! Not only did Jerry and Jess look after our dog, but also our home. When we finally arrived home at 2am, the house was immaculately clean and there was almost no sign they'd been there except for a lovely card and a dessert in the fridge for us! We cannot recommend Jerry and Jess enough. They are kind, caring people and took wonderful care of Coco and our house. We would love to have them watch Coco again for future trips.”
About: I have been around dogs for most of my life. I currently own a German Shepherd, Sajrus, who is the light of my world. I have trained him myself to perform some simple tricks like laying his face on my hand or walking between my legs. He has long hair so I’ve also got great experience with brushing and dealing with the lovely hair left all over my clothes (note I am not a professional dog groomer). Sajrus is also a dog with a good few allergies, which he receives medication for daily (pills), giving me some good experience on giving pets their medication. I also have experience with taking care of a range of different sized dogs, from Amstaff dogs too French bulldogs. Though I do not have as much experience with cats, as I've never owned one, I’ve been around a range of different cats owned by my friends or family, some more skiddish and some more feisty. I’m patient and more than willing to take time to get to know your pet and how i can make them feel comfortable and happy, ensuring you have nothing to worry about.:) I’m also Polish and fluent in both polish and English so if your pet (like mine) doesn’t respond to commands in English but may in the latter, I am able to provide. Im currently on break so im available most days and nights of the week, including weekends, up until the 5TH of SEPTEMBER. So im more than open for any arrangements throughout the whole week, as well as any last minute arrangements PS. Please be aware however that I may not be able to offer last minute arrangements for curtain services as well as reactive or overly aggressive dogs, though I am always open for discussion. Everything is explained below and in the *know in advance about your pets* section of my profile The amount of drop ins or dog walks I can provide a day may vary on the distance between residences, this can be discussed during the booking. If you plan on boarding your pup or joining our doggy day care, I will REQUIRE that all dogs that are to be present are to meet up and interact before hand, so that you and I have the piece of mind knowing that the dogs get along. I am only be able to provide pick up and drop offs for dogs in boarding or doggy day care if you live a 30 to 40 minutes max away by foot from my house as I do not have a liscence. This is also because, depending on the weather I wouldn't want the pup to struggle in the heat/cold or tear/scrape their paw pads from walking on the asfalt for too long, as many paths don't have a lot of green patches the dog can walk on to prevent this. I am open to discussing any different arrangements and prices you may have in mind. Please message about availability if you have a curtain day and time in mind, as I am generally free every day till the 5TH of SEPTEMBER but may have some appointments I have to attend during the day. Please contact me with any questions.:) I have a lovely German shepherd which I take on long walks, feed, groom, play with, train and administer medication too. We often go over his training/tricks or do some sniff searching (looking for hidden toys) to tire him out not only physically but also mentally. He is a larger dog (41kg), but overall I’m quite capable of keeping control of him on leash ,even if he sees a leaf flying by and decides it’s his personal mission to catch it. While your pet is under my care, I will treat them as if they are my own, and so follow the same principles I do with my dog, ensuring that we all have a good time. If you would like I can even try teaching your pups some simple, fun tricks that I had taught mine. Note, however, their is no guarantee that they will , as each dog is different and differently motivated. I am not a profesional trainer, just someone who has a simple understanding of teaching dogs, and a willing, food motivated, German shepherd. When the heat isn’t smouldering we spend a lot of time together in our garden, playing fetch and running around, there are also quite a few places in the garden providing shade and a cool place to rest. The park that is a 5min walk from the house also provides a good amount of space for running and playing, as well as shade provided by the trees, so that even on hot days walks can be enjoyed. The patio also allows for comfortable night sits, allowing the dog to cool off in the cold night air, from a long day.

“Daisy was great; it was our first time leaving twiggy and as owners we were so anxious about our fur baby. But Daisy was so great in playing with twiggy, cleaning up after her as she’s only 9 months old and just comforting her. Daisy sent photos throughout the evening, we kept in touch about what twiggy was up to. Daisy arrived on time and was super flexible about us changing the times and we even came back earlier than planned as a change of plans happened. But Daisy took it all in her stride and I would use her again!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have been horse riding since I could walk, and I’ve dreamt of being a Vet since I could talk. Although my career path has changed, my love for animals has not. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own, which I have had since they were babies, and now I am looking after them in their senior years. My dog currently has heart disease, due to genetic issues, so I am experienced in administering medication. My cat, although she is old, she is still as fiesta as ever. She has not taught me how to administer medication, but other skills such as patience. I’m currently working full time as an apprentice in supply chain compliance. This allows me to be flexible with my working as I am working from home majority of the week. I also have flexible working times so can finish my hours later/earlier than a rigid working week. My dog got a daily walk due to him being little and older, he doesn’t walk very far (he chooses when to go back). He suffered from heart disease- a genetic disorder, so I administered medicine to his twice daily every 12 hours. My cat on the other hand is very low maintenance, but loves a cuddle and spend majority of the day sleeping in my room.

Jess has been amazing, she has followed my instructions for my boy Dexter perfectly. He became very fond of jess during her weeks stay in our home.
