“It was a pleasure to have Cara looking after Zeeno and Loki! They were very happy when we got home and communication with Care was easy . Thanks Cara for your help and we would love to use you again if needed!”

“We have just used Hannah for a second time and were delighted once again. She looked after our cat at our home. She sent us lots of pictures and we could rest assured that both our furry friend and our house were fabulously well looked after :)”

“It was my first time leaving Saylee(my cat) alone so I was understandably nervous especially as she’s very shy/cautious around people and don’t” trust” easily. However I had anything to worry about.Evie came to meet Saylee a few days before I left on holiday and she took to Evie immediately. Evie provided constant feedback and photos of Saylee whilst I was away which really eased my mind. I came back to a very well fed, well looked after and happy little cat. I will 100% use Evie again.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always loved caring for them. I have a dog of my own who lives with my parents, and I’ve been taking care of him since I was growing up, so I’m very comfortable with the responsibilities that come with looking after a dog. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m happy to follow their usual schedule and give them plenty of attention, care, and affection. I’m also comfortable staying in someone’s home and making sure both their dog and home are well looked after while they’re away. I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. My priority is making sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. 🐶❤️ As a university student, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. My days can vary, but I’m able to work my routine around a dog’s needs, whether that’s morning walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company throughout the day. I really enjoy having dogs around, and I’m happy to give them plenty of attention and make sure they get the exercise, care, and companionship they’re used to. My flexible university schedule also means I can be available during the day and adapt to different routines and requirements. 🐶🐾 I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while they’re in my care. I take the time to understand their usual routine, personality, and any specific needs before looking after them. I’m responsible and respectful of both the pet and their home. I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep an eye on pets when they’re outside, and follow their feeding, walking, and medication routines if needed. I also keep their environment clean and tidy. Most importantly, I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and plenty of attention. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll always do my best to give them the same care and love I would want for my own dog. 🐶❤️

“We can’t recommend Emilija highly enough. She has looked after our two dogs, Bailey and Mika, twice while my wife and I were away on holiday, and both times she was absolutely fantastic. She genuinely cares about the dogs, took the time to understand their routines and personalities, and kept us updated with lovely photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. When we returned, Bailey and Mika were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well looked after. It was obvious they had received lots of love, attention, and care. Emilija is kind, trustworthy, reliable, and a pleasure to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets as if they were her own.”

“We booked Yeru for the second time to look after our dog Matilda, and once again we were very happy. Matilda is naturally quite shy and takes time to trust people, so it means a lot to us that she feels comfortable and happy staying with Yeru and seems to accept her as part of the family. Yeru sends us lots of lovely photos every day, which is so reassuring when we are away. We always come home to a happy Matilda and a clean and tidy house. We feel completely at ease knowing Matilda and our home are in such good hands. We would happily book Yeru again and definitely recommend her!”

About: I’m a new graduate veterinarian from the University of Liverpool currently applying to jobs abroad. Whilst i’m waiting, i’m more than happy to help you out by house-sitting or drop-ins. My family have owned dogs throughout my childhood, from terriers to border collies to our springer Jasper, meaning i’m used to the exercise some dogs require. Any questions just give me a message. I’m currently organising various bits before moving abroad (date TBC) so other than emails, occasional interviews and generic admin, i’m free to cater to your dog’s needs. We have a 6yo rescue Springer Spaniel and previously we’ve owned a Lakeland Terrier and a rescue Border Collie. They’ve all had their quirks and haven’t been the easiest to take care off so I don’t expect your’s to be either, just let me know what works for you and we can go from there.

About: Me and my partner, Myles, are lifelong dog lovers and the designated dog sitters for all of our family and friends, now looking to open our home up to more dogs. After losing our senior rescue chihuahua last year, our house feels very empty without the pitter patter of paws following us around! We have many years of experience with a vast array of breeds and ages and I have also previously volunteered at a doggy daycare centre. We really do just love dogs of all sizes, shapes, temperaments and age and we would love to take care of yours! Please send me a message for more info about me or if you have any questions. I work from home on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and Myles works from home all week. We are free most evenings and weekends and available for long-term boarding We live in a semi detached house which your dog would have free roam of and a secure fenced off yard. We already have many dog beds and blankets for your dog to get comfy in, along with a few sofas and an armchair that they would be welcome to take a snooze on. Your dog will never be left alone in the house, we understand it may take time for some dogs to trust new people and we are experienced and knowledgeable on building up trust safely with new dogs. Your dog will never feel pressured by us, and in turn we hope this means you will trust us with your dogs too!

“Rebekah was really quick in responding to my request which was helpful. She arrived on time and followed all instructions for Mimi's food and care which I appreciated. Mimi my cat adjusted well to Rebekah and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. She also left the apartment clean and tidy and was in general an easy going sitter.”

“Even though I had to come time earlier due to personal reasons, Isla had done really well! Family enjoyed her being around and Manson settled and listened to Isla straight away!! I’ll definitely be hiring Isla again for a full sitting”

“Aitana looked after our cockapoo and romainian rescue for 4 days. She was an excellent dog sitter and she managed to charm our reactive dogs, which is nt easy as they can be a handful. The house was spotless when we returned and Aitana was friendly and kept us updated with photos..I would 100% recommend Aitana.”

“Amy looked after our dog, rocky for a week in our home. Amy was happy to meet rocky prior to the stay and Rocky liked her straight away. Came back to a clean home and a very happy dog. Would definitely recommend and I will be booking again. Thanks Amy 😊”

About: Hi! I’m Danielle 👋 I’ve been looking after dogs and cats for many years and genuinely love getting to know each pet and their individual personality. I understand that every animal is different, so I’m happy to adapt to their usual routine, energy levels and individual needs to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. I live an active lifestyle and really enjoy getting outdoors, so dogs who love their walks will have plenty of opportunity to explore! I’m currently located close to a park with lots of great walking routes, whether your dog enjoys a relaxed stroll and plenty of sniffing or something a little more energetic. For cats and more home-loving pets, I’m equally happy providing a calmer environment with plenty of attention, playtime and company while respecting their space and normal routine. I know how important it is to feel confident about who is caring for your pet. I’ll always aim to provide reliable, attentive and friendly care, treating your dog or cat as I would my own. Come and say hi! 🐶🐱 I’d love to get to know you and your dog or cat and hear all about their personality, routine and favourite things. work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care naturally into my daily routine. I can adapt my schedule around your cat or dog’s individual needs, including feeding times, walks, playtime, toilet breaks, cuddles and companionship. Being home throughout the day also means I can provide plenty of attention and supervision, while making sure your pet’s usual routine is maintained as closely as possible. For pets staying in my home, I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so they can get to know me and become comfortable with the space before their stay. I’ll tailor their care around their usual routine, personality and individual needs to help them feel as settled and at home as possible. When caring for pets in their own home, I like to meet beforehand to get to know both you and your pet and familiarise myself with their routine, feeding, walks, favourite activities and any specific requirements. My aim is to keep things familiar and consistent so your pet feels comfortable, relaxed and well cared for while you’re away.
“I had to use this app to each out last minute to find a sitter, due to a cancellation, and I couldn’t be more happy. Andreia was great with my dogs, especially consider one of them is a bit of a nervous wreck. Have booked more dates with Andreia and using her as my new sitter. Highly recommend.”

“We could not be more grateful to Rachel. She was so wonderful with our staffy Ziggy, so respectful to our home and even did some training with Ziggy. Rachel sent lots and lots of updates and photos throughout the stay too and truly made us feel at such ease. I would HIGHLY recommend Rachel to look after your pet ❤️”

Emilija was so helpful with our nervous rescue puppy. We wanted him to meet her beforehand and she accommodated the extra meet-ups. She was calm and patient. We were nervous about leaving him for 4 nights and him not wanting strangers to put him on the lead, but he warmed up to her quickly and she had him walking on the first day. She took her time to understand him, kept us updated and sent lots of pictures. We would definitely recommend Emilija and will be happy to leave Huxley with her again. She was respectful of our house and left it as she found it.

Cara looked after our elderly dog Gizmo for a night. I’m always nervous leaving Gizmo but Cara looked after him brilliantly and sent us photos and updates throughout. He looked very sad when she left! She was very respectful of our home and was great with communication leading up to the stay. I will definitely use Cara again!

Kim took care of our demanding little Cockapoo, Joy, at our home for a full week while we were away on holiday, and she was fantastic! Joy was so happy, relaxed, and well-cared for when we returned. Receiving regular updates throughout the week was super comforting and gave us complete peace of mind. Thank you so much, Kim, we’ll definitely stay in touch for our next holiday!

It was my first time leaving Saylee(my cat) alone so I was understandably nervous especially as she’s very shy/cautious around people and don’t” trust” easily. However I had anything to worry about.Evie came to meet Saylee a few days before I left on holiday and she took to Evie immediately. Evie provided constant feedback and photos of Saylee whilst I was away which really eased my mind. I came back to a very well fed, well looked after and happy little cat. I will 100% use Evie again.

Sarah was wonderful looking after my big greyhound, Blossom, for the week. Blossom is very dog and cat reactive and has a few quirks, so it was important for me to find someone who'd be patient and who has experience with bigger dogs. As soon as I met Sarah, she put my mind at ease. Sarah is such a warm person and clearly loves animals. She sent me regular photos, videos, and daily summaries whilst she looked after Blossom, which was lovely and they clearly had a fab time. I'll definitely be booking Sarah again x

Rebekah was really quick in responding to my request which was helpful. She arrived on time and followed all instructions for Mimi's food and care which I appreciated. Mimi my cat adjusted well to Rebekah and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. She also left the apartment clean and tidy and was in general an easy going sitter.

Andreia has just spent 2 days house sitting for my elderly cat she was constantly sending me up dates and pictures to reassure me and promptly messaged me back when I sent her a text message , Andreia was very helpful in bringing in my parcels and left our house clean and she was respectful I’m very pleased with the care she gave to my cat and will contact Andreia again if I need her to look after my pets , the only improvement I would suggest is that I booked a start time for 10 .30 am and the night before I was in a bit of a panic as Andreia changed the time and we were due to go on holiday however Andreia did arrive at the changed time very promptly and was excellent all throughout her looking after my cat Thankyou Andreia. Very happy 😊😀

I am so glad Olaya agreed to take care of my cat Mimi for 4 days. Olaya is excellent with cats, and has really good and calm energy - Mimi opened up to her in minutes. Olaya took the time to engage with Mimi with toys and ensured no disruption to her routine. Olaya is also highly responsible, and she paid a lot of attention to detail, and I felt extremely assured about leaving Mimi in her care. All the information regarding Mimi’s routines as well as the apartment were handled with care and honesty which I really appreciate. Communication was excellent where I received many updates on Mimi. Olaya left my apartment extremely tidy! I am really thankful to Olaya and I would certainly recommend her to anyone looking for an extremely responsible and caring sitter.

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! Jessie was so professional, went well above and beyond what I would have hoped for, and took such good care of my animals and my house. I feel really lucky I was able to find her on this app. Thank you so much, Jessie! 10/10 would absolutely book again!

Hanna was a wonderful sitter for a whole week and looked after our very shy and nervous greyhound, Genie. She was very patient and managed to win his trust over time. Very good at keeping us informed on daily events and pictures of stand out moments. Hanna left the house immaculately clean. Highly recommended as a dog sitter.

We booked another weekend with Shanaya after her first time looking after Merlin went so well - again, absolutely no faults, she was the perfect carer and companion for our little pup. He absolutely adores her! We are very much hoping to use Shanayas services again in the future ☺️☺️

Abby is a sweet young lady! she arrive early so we could provide instructions & care for our girls. Our two small dogs took to her immediately as she meet them with attention & love. We were visiting Nottingham and wanted time to visit the town without the girls. Abby provided love & care! I would highly recommend Abby to care for your animals. 💕

My dog, Blossom, had a wonderful time with Dori! Dori came over for a meet and greet ahead of the booking and was absolutely lovely. For the 2 days that Dori stayed with Blossom, I received regular updates, photos, videos, and my house was left in a perfect condition. Highly recommend booking with Dori!

Natasha sat for Dexter staying in our house for 1week. Natasha was very attentive giving Dexter lots of attention and plenty of walks and fun activities. Natasha kept us updated sending pictures and messages throughout the week. We returned to a happy Dexter and a very clean and tidy house. Thanks Natasha for a great sit. Would highly recommend Natasha
Eleanor was absolutely brilliant with our cat and adolescent dog. We were away for a long trip and we're a bit worried to leave him as he can be a handful!! We had nothing to worry about, she took incredible care of him, updated with photos regularly and managed to keep our big boy entertained and out of trouble (which is a feat in itself!!). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eleanor, she has been wonderful da:D

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rushcliffe choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
