“Teodora looked after our 9-month old whippet brilliantly. He's a bit of a handful but she handled him very well. We got its of update photos of him on walks with her and snuggling on the sofa which was really reassuring as it was the first time we'd left him. Would recommend Teodoro without reservation!”

About: My name is Kasia. I was an animal lover since I was a little girl and I grew up in the house with many animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. I previously looked after dogs and cats for my family and friends, they were always very comfortable in my house. I walk dogs (including mine) twice a day, and they can spend time playing in my garden or be cosy on the sofa. The best benefit of being pet sitter is the opportunity to meet lots of cute animals and enjoy caring for them. I am looking forward to care for your furry kids. With Love Kasia I work from home, which means I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, including regular walks, playtime, feeding, and making sure pets feel comfortable and settled. I enjoy having animals around and can provide a calm, caring environment with lots of supervision and interaction. I provide a calm, safe, and caring environment for pets both in my home and in the owner’s home. I make sure pets follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, rest, and any specific care instructions provided by the owner. As I work from home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and secure, so I take time to help them settle in and adjust at their own pace. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always respect the home and follow all instructions carefully to ensure pets feel relaxed in their familiar environment. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind while owners are away.

“Maria is a very lovely person. Very polite and passionate since our first meet and greet. It was clear that she really loves animals and looking after them. Bruno had his first dogsitting with her today, Bruno seemed to be very happy when we got home and looked very comfortable around Maria. She's very accommodating and follows the guides/notes that are shared to her. Thank you again for looking after our Bruno 😊”

“Lauren was a great sitter for Harvey and we have already booked her for another time. The house was exactly how we left it and she provided daily updates and photos of Harvey while we were away. We have come back to a very chilled and happy cat. Thanks again Lauren.”

“I had to use this app to each out last minute to find a sitter, due to a cancellation, and I couldn’t be more happy. Andreia was great with my dogs, especially consider one of them is a bit of a nervous wreck. Have booked more dates with Andreia and using her as my new sitter. Highly recommend.”

“We honestly cannot recommend Anna highly enough! She stayed in our home for a whole week looking after our 4-month-old kitten, Jasper, and we couldn’t have wished for a better person to care for him. From the very beginning, Anna was amazing. She took the time to listen to all of our instructions, understood Jasper’s little routines and quirks, and made sure he had everything he needed while we were away. She was incredibly thoughtful, responsible, and caring, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing Jasper was in the best hands. Anna kept Jasper entertained, played with him, gave him lots of love and attention, and always kept us updated with regular photos and messages. It meant so much being able to see what he was doing each day and know that he was happy, comfortable, and having the best time. The biggest compliment we can give Anna is how much Jasper loved her. He is only 4 months old and still getting used to the world, and although he doesn’t usually cuddle up with us very often, he became so affectionate and cuddly with Anna. Seeing him so relaxed and comfortable around her showed just how safe and loved he felt. It was clear that she built a real bond with him. Anna also looked after our home with so much care and respect. Everything was exactly as we left it, and she went above and beyond in every way. She was reliable, respectful, communicative, and genuinely passionate about looking after animals. Leaving your pet with someone can be stressful, especially when they are still a young kitten, but Anna made the whole experience completely worry-free. We came home to a happy, content, and well-loved kitten, and we are so grateful for the care and attention she gave Jasper. Thank you so much, Anna, for being so wonderful with Jasper and for treating him like your own. We would absolutely love for you to look after him again in the future and would recommend you to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and loving cat sitter!”

“Shaun is very attentive to our dog Mabel. She was so keen to see him that she jumped out of car the second we got there, still strapped in. Shaun provides great care and is a great communicator, so we are always reassured that Mabel is in good hands.”

“Amazing - Jasmine is an angel !! Couldn’t ask for a more lovely person to trust and look after my babies ! Jasmine sent so many updates and was constantly in touch which was so reassuring to me. She left everything perfectly as well 🩷 I would ask Jasmine to look after them again in a heartbeat and you can really tell how much she loves and cares for kitties!! Thank you so much 🫶🏻🫶🏻 xxxx”

About: I grew up with dogs and have had dogs almost my entire life. I work from home on Friday and Monday though, so can dog-sit for long weekends I will provide multiple walks a day and make sure your dog(s) get enough play/attention. I work from home on Friday and Monday and the weekends are free. Our day would consists of multiple walks, time to play and cuddles.😁 I have been an experienced foster for rescue dogs, but had to stop because of work requiring me to go back into the office 3 days a week. Your dog will be well taken care of and they will get loads of attention. I will send updates every day.
“We’ve never left Milo before with anyone else. He can be a little aloof and as a Staffy x Akita he’s also a strong dog. But Miriam was amazing with him and instantly put us at ease. We initially had a meet and greet where Milo loved her instantly and demanded more fuss from her 🤣 also lots of communication and pictures whilst we were away that again put us at ease that our boy was having the best time. We definitely recommend Miriam for anyone looking for pet services as she goes above and beyond! Thank you Miriam x”

“We have just used Hannah for a second time and were delighted once again. She looked after our cat at our home. She sent us lots of pictures and we could rest assured that both our furry friend and our house were fabulously well looked after :)”

“We hired Chyna last minute to watch over our dog Max and cat Jess in our home for 2 weeks whilst we went on holiday. Chyna was absolutely amazing, I hate leaving our furballs but she was so kind and welcoming it made it so much easier. We got daily updates and photos from Chyna which we were so thankful for, she walked Max even in the worst of storms and our animals loved her ❤️ She even went the extra mile and looked after our fish and watered our plants. When we got home the house was spotless, you would never even know that she was there. Thank you SO much Chyna, 100% recommend and we will always be using her in the future.”

“Niki did a brilliant job with our two cats, Billy and Pablo. We gave her a challenging situation with an elderly cat who sleeps a lot and a young cat, who loves to play. She asked about their likes and dislikes and how they reacted with one another. Their strong food drive is their only shared trait and Niki fed them separately, in their favourite places, to prevent fighting. She sent photos and updates every day, and the cats looked happy and healthy when we got back. The house was lovely and tidy, too. We'll certainly rebook!”

About: I work at the University and can help with walking your dog early in the morning or in the evenings, I also have experience with dog sitting and would be happy to dog sit at your house, but unfortunately cannot host pets in my flat. I grew up with several dogs, small to medium in size, but I get along with bigger dogs too! Our family dogs' personalities and temperaments are all over the shop - one is an embodiment of a sloth, one - a duracell bunny and one is all round maniac (but a good boy nevertheless). I recently came back to Rover as I miss contact with dogs and can't give a permanent home to any due to living in a flat. I hope this will be a good match with your needs! I'm an early bird, so I can help with walking your dogs in the mornings to help with your morning routine. I am also available in the evenings and all day most weekends. I can't host dogs in my flat at the moment, but I have experience dog sitting at owner's houses. I will follow the routines that you have established with your dog, including any food / leaving routines.
“Malaya is friendly with great communication and was very keen to learn from us how best to look after our rescue staffie Daisy. Malaya has experience training and looking after dogs in the past and it shows in the questions she asked and how she interacted with Daisy. Daisy was well cared for and the house left clean and tidy, we would happily recommend Malaya as a sitter.”

“Even though I had to come time earlier due to personal reasons, Isla had done really well! Family enjoyed her being around and Manson settled and listened to Isla straight away!! I’ll definitely be hiring Isla again for a full sitting”

“Thank you so much Natalie for looking after our Echo whilst we were away for the weekend. This is the first time weve used the Rover app so werent really sure what to expect. Echo looked so happy and chilled, we cant thank you enough. Will definitly be booking with Natalie again. Thanks again. Kat, Josh and Echo x”

Stanley was very happy to see Courtney again and got very excited. He seems very happy and relaxed in her company and feel very reassured to leave him. Stanley is particularly scared of the thunder and she ensured that he had a place to feel safe. Great service again. Thank you Courtney

This was the first time I’ve ever left my dog with a sitter and have to say I was quite anxious about it all as I know Jasper can be a handful and quite clingy. Phoebe stayed at our house for the week we went abroad and have to say I’m really glad I chose Phoebe. She understood how anxious he gets when there’s no humans around and she spent a lot of time with him. Lots of cuddles, walks and taking good care of him generally. She kept the house clean and tidy in our absence so it was nice to come back to a clean house. Thanks so much phoebe for looking after our boy and goose ♥️

We needed a pet sitter who could live in our home and look after our male cats, Billy and Pablo, at short notice. Billy is old, sweet and vulnerable, whereas Pablo is a young, high-energy cat who loves to scratch the furniture, given half a chance. We wondered if we could find someone who could cope. As soon as we met Jasmine, she was such a lovely, caring person that our worries disappeared. It’s easy to see that Jasmine loves cats, and she knows how to handle them. She gave us photos and updates every day, and she didn’t panic when Pablo kept his distance at first because he is extremely wary of new people. Jasmine kept Billy and Pablo well-fed, Billy inside and Pablo outside, and reported any concerns during her stay. She noted their feeding preferences and personality traits and made sure she had contact details for the vet. We only saw that Jasmine was in our home from the photos because the house looked ‘untouched’ and tidy when we returned. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Shannon has been absolutely amazing. Not only did she accept the booking with short notice, but she was so kind, authentic and put me at ease! I wouldn’t go anywhere else, she was brilliant with my dachshund - he didn’t want to leave he loved being with her! Will definitely be returning. Thank you again Shannon x

Demi has been great with Dumble, with him being an older dog, and loud when he wants to be, she took it all in her stride. We received pictures and video and of throughout the week, which really put our minds at rest. She took the time to get to know Dumble, his walks, and some of his little qwerks before we went away which was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to book her again.
Teodora looked after our boy for the night. We had a meet and greet beforehand and they got along really well. Coady has health conditions and was able to care for him in a way best for him. Our house was in the same condition we left it in and we couldn't have asked for a better person to look after him! Thank you Teodora

We were absolutely delighted with Keishia. Her communication is excellent, she took time to come and visit us and see our three dogs prior to sitting. Our dogs are very different in requirements with one being nervous, one blind and one hyperactive. Keishia managed each of their needs perfectly. She respected our property, keeping it to our stansards of clean and tidy, We cannot sing her praises enough and eould very highly recommend Keishia to anyone without a hesitation Thank yoy Keishia. Maryin snd Sue, Choccy, Izzy and Marley

I'm over the moon I have found a dog sitter! I have never left my dogs with someone I don't know, or had someone stay in my home. I was really nervous. Isobel came to meet them weeks before stayed until they were nice and chilled with her. She arrived on time on the day. She did everything as asked. She sent me photos and updates all weekend, which I loved. I had some upheaval with some scaffolding which was meant to be sorted when she wasn't here🤦♀️ but she was patient and nothing was to much trouble. She left my home as it was nice and tidy. Dogs were all happy when I got home. I've already booked my next trip away. I would 100% recommend she was brilliant!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Erewash walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Erewash choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
