“Juke was well looked after by Grace. She was very accomodating to ourselves on a very busy weekend. Nice photo's sent during his stay. Will definitely be contacting Grace in the future.”

“Sheena is amazing! She always keeps me well informed so I never feel unaware of what’s going on. She’s great with Aiko always catering to her needs, like another member of the family. Definitely recommend Sheena, have no doubts she will take great care of your baby like she did mine ❤️”

“We met Rachel prior to booking to ensure both our dogs were well suited together which also helped to settle our nerves as first time Rover users! Throughout our dogs stay Rachel kept us updated on what theyd been up to and shared pictures which helped us to feel comfortable. Hector was clearly happy throughout his stay so thank you to Rachel and Nala for keeping him company”

“This was our second time leaving Charlie with Karolina for an overnight stay. He had a wonderful time and Karolina was kind and friendly, sending us updates regularly. Charlie loves being with her!”

“Emily had a lovely time with Tarnya and her family! Everything about her stay was perfect! She seemed very happy and content and we were sent daily feedback on her progress which was very comforting for both of us. Thank you for a lovely stay and we can highly recommend for any future visits! Thanks again X”

“Nick was fantastic carer for Dougal who hasn’t stayed with anyone for a couple of years. He really understands dogs and their needs. Dougal had a fantastic holiday and we got lots of pics of a happy pooch.”

“Oscar had another lovely stay with Paula and John. He is relaxed in their house, which is now his second home. He was excited to see us on collection, but wouldn't leave without giving Paula another hug! It's so comforting knowing he's in such good hands whilst we are away, thank you xx”

“Ellis was absolutely wonderful with Oz during his 2 night stay! From start to finish, she was incredibly professional, warm and bubbly. It was clear right away from our meet and greet that Oz was going to be in great hands. She kept me up-to date with regular messages and pictures, he was truly spoilt with lots of attention, walks and cuddles. When I picked him up, Oz was super calm and relaxed. Ellis is a lovely person, I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for top-tier care for their pup! 🐶”

“Dexter had an amazing weekend at Olivia's, he is only 4 months old so is still in his crazy puppy phase but Olivia did a fabulous job of keeping him entertained with walks, games and cuddles. All the photos and videos were brilliant and I could tell he was happy there, he will definitely be going back again.”

“Maverick had a great time on his 2 week holiday with Tess! I know this from the regular pictures and videos of him either playing or cuddled up comfy on the sofa. I'm so pleased to have found Tess on Rover and will definitely let her look after Maverick again... I might even book him in for a day or two just so he can play with Tess' dogs who he made friends with and will miss!”

“Charlie stayed for a week and it was lovely to not worry about her. We knew she was being well looked after and had regular picture updates. She was clearly happy and felt right at home. It’s not the first time she has stayed with Jamie and it won’t be the last.”

“Carmen and Andrew were amazing as usual. They look after him and spoilt him. He loves to be with them. Milo was like at home. Thanks for everything.”

“Barney and Lola had a great time with Nicola and her partner, very waggy tails when collected. Nicola had my two terriers at short notice, kept me updated throughout the stay and was conscientious with asking questions about normal routines etc. Will definitely use Nicola again 100/10!”

“Leo had the best time with Slyvn. He had plenty of walks and cuddles, getting all the attention. Slyvn has excellent communication and provided an update daily which helped put my mind at ease while away. Deffo will use Slyvn again”

“First time leaving Polly with Teresa and John. We had a meet up visit prior to this and we immediately felt at ease. Polly clearly had a lovely time and was very relaxed when we collected her. We have another longer stay planned and it’s reassuring to know she will be loved and well cared for.”

“Shaun has been great from the very first interaction. He is very responsive and great with sticking to Mabel’s routines. He took the time out of his week to arrange a meet and greet prior to our first sitting, which left us at ease and reassured us. Throughout the day, Shaun sent updates and photos to let us know that Mabel was enjoying her stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

Amy was an excellent sitter for our dog, Penn. She was really flexible around our plans, checked in with us in the week beforehand and gave updates throughout the day. Penn was really well looked after and had a great time with Amy's dog, playing in the house and secure garden and being taken on a morning walk. We would really recommend Amy if you are looking for a dog sitter in the Nottingham area.

I would definitely recommend Grace and will be using her services again. Grace kept me updated with Sausage, shared pictures throughout the whole time while having Sausage. Grace was very accommodating, warm and welcoming us to her home. Sausage had the best time in her care.

Arlo had a great time with Sarah and Rolo. Sarah's communication is excellent prior to booking, the meet and greet and during his trial night with her. Sarah sent regular updates and Arlo is already looking forward to going back in the summer. I would definitely recommend Sarah :-)
Wow! What can we say about Brooke and Bobby. Ralph has been looked after like he's had a 5 star hotel! The walkies, the cuddles, the fun times with their dog Vinnie. Leaving him for a month was hard but we felt so happy that he had such a good time and a special bond with so many pictures and even facetime. Will definitely keep in touch and book again when we go away. Brilliant, lovely people. Awesome. Ralph says Woof!

Sacha is one of the most genuine people we have ever come across, she’s helped us last minute whilst we were away by taking care of our little dog Paddy after we were let down by friends who had him in there care. Sacha went and fetched him for us and kept him safe, he was so confused as to what was happening but she gave him so much reassurance and he settled into her loving home for the rest of the time we were away. Paddy had the best time with his little friend who helped looked after him. She kept us updated on how Paddy was getting on and sent us lots of videos and pictures. We honestly can’t thank you enough Sacha.

Daisy is looked after by Liz at least once a week and absolutely loves it at Liz's house. She has lovely walks (Liz is very careful to follow our instructions regarding these as Daisy is dog reactive) and is spoilt by the whole family. This was Daisy's first overnight stay and I'm sure she's already desperate for another one! All advice regarding Daisy's routine was followed and as usual we had plenty of updates and cute photos 🙂.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
