It was our first time having a sitter for Spark and I felt really reassured when meeting Tarnya. She clearly has alot of experience with dogs and I knew that Spark would be well looked after. Thanks so much for looking after him, I'm sure he will be back soon!

Paula and John are outstanding dog sitters. They are so caring and knowledgable about dogs. Our 1 year old cocker poo called Max has been with them for the first time for the last 2 nights and has been so well looked after. They take the time to get to know the dog during a meet and greet and really put my mind at rest. They kept us posted with info and photos which were so great to receive. Our Max has had a wonderful time with them. I will 100% be using them again and would highly recommend them as dog sitters. Thanks a million Paula and John 🙌🐶

Grace recently looked after our reactive rescue staffie Daisy when we went away for the weekend. We did a meet and greet , which was easy to organise and Grace was very welcoming. We hadn't used Grace before for daycare, so we were a little anxious about Daisy stopping overnight as her first visit but she settled really fast and had a great time. We received regular updates and photos (where we could tell that Daisy was genuinely happy!) and our advice regarding Daisy's routine was followed well 🙂 we will definitely be asking Grace to sit Daisy again in future and would recommend her to anyone.

I honestly can’t recommend CoCo enough! She was absolutely amazing with my dog, Bo. She really took the time to listen to all of his needs and routines, especially after he’d recently been unwell. She cared for him so thoughtfully and attentively, and it was clear he was in such safe hands the whole time. I received regular updates with the loveliest photos and videos, which made such a difference and really put my mind at rest. Bo had the best time — he absolutely loved being with her and got on so well with her dog, Zero. They went on lovely walks and had loads of playtime together, which he clearly enjoyed so much. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of Bo! 💛

About: I have looked after many dogs and cats in my time mostly my pets, but other people’s on a few occasions. I am able to give your pet a lot of love and affection. I am able to walk your pet and have a large safe enclosed garden for your pet to run in and explore. I am also available to sit in your home as well If that is what you prefer. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to be around with your dogs! I’m available for boarding at weekends, and weekdays. Time to be confirmed with animal owner. I live with my husband and grownup son who would also be around to lend an helping hand. I have a safe large fenced in garden, with no animals of my own. I live 5 minutes from Bramcote Park. I treat every dog as if it was my own. I offer tailored care and plenty of mental stimulation in a safe, caring environment.

I cannot recommend Nick enough as a dog sitter. Our dog had the best time staying with him that I was worried she wouldn’t want to come home! His house is calm and relaxed with a cosy family vibe and we felt comfortable leaving her. We had daily updates and photos of all their adventures together and she even made a few doggy friends! This gave us total peace of mind as we could relax and enjoy our family holiday. I would also say that Nick seems to have a great understanding of individual dogs needs and adapts everything he does around them regardless of their characteristics.

Maverick had a great time on his 2 week holiday with Tess! I know this from the regular pictures and videos of him either playing or cuddled up comfy on the sofa. I'm so pleased to have found Tess on Rover and will definitely let her look after Maverick again... I might even book him in for a day or two just so he can play with Tess' dogs who he made friends with and will miss!

Freddie had the perfect stay. It’s always worrying when using someone new but Samantha and her husband was so friendly and asked lots of questions about Freddie which was reassuring that they were making sure they knew things about Freddie to make his stay perfect. The updates were also very much appreciated. The resident dog, Eddie was perfect for Freddie and gave him space. Hopefully Freddie will become a regular visitor as will not hesitate to use Samatha again.

Wow! What can we say about Brooke and Bobby. Ralph has been looked after like he's had a 5 star hotel! The walkies, the cuddles, the fun times with their dog Vinnie. Leaving him for a month was hard but we felt so happy that he had such a good time and a special bond with so many pictures and even facetime. Will definitely keep in touch and book again when we go away. Brilliant, lovely people. Awesome. Ralph says Woof!

Sacha is one of the most genuine people we have ever come across, she’s helped us last minute whilst we were away by taking care of our little dog Paddy after we were let down by friends who had him in there care. Sacha went and fetched him for us and kept him safe, he was so confused as to what was happening but she gave him so much reassurance and he settled into her loving home for the rest of the time we were away. Paddy had the best time with his little friend who helped looked after him. She kept us updated on how Paddy was getting on and sent us lots of videos and pictures. We honestly can’t thank you enough Sacha.

Daisy is looked after by Liz at least once a week and absolutely loves it at Liz's house. She has lovely walks (Liz is very careful to follow our instructions regarding these as Daisy is dog reactive) and is spoilt by the whole family. This was Daisy's first overnight stay and I'm sure she's already desperate for another one! All advice regarding Daisy's routine was followed and as usual we had plenty of updates and cute photos 🙂.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Erewash

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Erewash on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 1,243 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Erewash. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
