“Sheena is amazing! She always keeps me well informed so I never feel unaware of what’s going on. She’s great with Aiko always catering to her needs, like another member of the family. Definitely recommend Sheena, have no doubts she will take great care of your baby like she did mine ❤️”

“My teddy had a brilliant stay with Gary while we went away on a much needed holiday! Gary was very attentive to teddys needs and very happy to cater to any requests :) I felt at ease knowing teddy was with Gary and really appreciated the regular updates during his stay! Thank you so much 😊”

About: Since I’ve loved dogs all my life, I’ve read a lot about their behaviours in my spare time. We have one dog and look after other dogs including senior dogs of family and friends, regularly. Both me and my partner Alex have had dogs since we were children. Experience with training dogs and puppies too. We have a large secure garden for roaming and sniffing. We love to go for morning and evening walks every day and there’s a great walking path close by, perfect for dog walks. On the weekends we tend to go to local parks for fresh air whatever the weather! I understand the needs of different types of dogs, whether that’s energy levels, age or personality and cater their day to suit them. It is so important to be that they feel happy and comfortable with us. If your dog needs a loving holiday home with a stable routine for a while, plus a very friendly happy well behaved dog and two children who adore dogs but give them space, then we would love to welcome your fur baby from your home to ours. Please get in touch :) I work from home with opportunity to play, cuddle and look at your fur baby. I have dog called Jasper, who loves to have friends over so will keep your dog company. We love being at home and one of us is always around. A typical day would be a morning sniff and runaround the garden first thing, or walk and then breakfast. Around lunchtime is also treat time and a little play and fuss, 5pm we’re in the kitchen/garden, and it’s playtime before dinner for dogs as and when adjusted to their needs. Finishing the day with an after dinner walk and snuggles on the sofa. I have a large fenced garden to keep your dogs safe, with my dog loving company. I can happily crate your dog if needed. We have a few areas downstairs if dogs would like their own time/ sleep without being disturbed too.
“Leah was brilliant with our Frank, an older boy, they made sure he was well taken care of. Went a little off his breakfast with the heatwave but Leah couldn’t have been more helpful, even picking up particular foods to help him. Lots of pictures and updates to put us at ease. A regular for us now no doubt ☺️”

“Manu was amazing and sent loads of pictures and videos of Missy during her stay . Missy was so comfortable and chilled when I picked her up! Thank you for looking after her last minute! See you soon xx”

“Emily had a lovely time with Tarnya and her family! Everything about her stay was perfect! She seemed very happy and content and we were sent daily feedback on her progress which was very comforting for both of us. Thank you for a lovely stay and we can highly recommend for any future visits! Thanks again X”

“Amber is missing Wilf! Thank you Graham, Amber had a lovely stay with you and so pleased that Amber and Wilf have become besties! The photo's and updates were brilliant, especially as Amber has not had very good previous boarding experiences from so called "local licenced boarders in Seagrave and Seilby in Leicestershire". We will definitely be using you again!!”

“Grainne took really good care of George at late notice when I had to be called out of town for work. It was during a heatwave and George was kept cool and stimulated with Oscar! He has been sleepjnf like a log since he has come home.”

About: Since being a little girl, I have found so much peace being among animals. I have owned nearly every furry under the sun (dogs, cats, rabbits, guineas, mice, hamsters and more!) and love the unique personality each animal has. I have a soft spot for rescues, most of my pets have been strays and love being able to show them that the world can be a good place with the right people in it! A few years of my working life was spent in a kennels and cattery, and have recently been running a Nature School for children, where we explore and care for wildlife, animals and the world around us. It has been great to pass on my love for the animal world, to the next generation. All ages and stages of life are welcome, from pups and kittens, right through to the OAPs - and the care I offer is tailored to each animal as an individual. I will ensure I follow your instructions and care plan to ensure everyone is as happy as they can be. I've spent my entire life working with animals and children - and yes maybe you do need to be a little crazy to do that! But I do thoroughly enjoy the chaos and pure love they bring everyday. I'd be honoured to care for your beloved pets, and give you peace of mind for when you can't be there. From July, I will be working from home, so can offer the flexibility you desire. I have my children's school run twice a day, so have ample time between 9am and 3.30pm to accommodate your furry friends. I will also be available most evenings for later visits and walks if required. Weekends I can also be flexible. My large car can fit any size dog in, so can drive to green spaces for walks if desired! I have a large tiered garden, consisting of artificial turf, a bark area and decking. The house is a detached 3 bed, with 2 downstairs sitting areas, so your pets have plenty to of space to choose where they feel most comfortable.During warm weather, dogs can access an outdoor animal friendly paddling pool, and our outside space has plenty of trees to provide natural shade and a cooler temperature.
“Jamie and Andrea were fabulous with our two. They made us feel really comfortable, and were really flexible when our pick up situation needed to change. They were really communicative and we loved seeing pictures of our girls on their holidays!”

“Leo had the best time with Slyvn. He had plenty of walks and cuddles, getting all the attention. Slyvn has excellent communication and provided an update daily which helped put my mind at ease while away. Deffo will use Slyvn again”

About: I have 20 years + experience of caring for dogs, I am DBS checked and first aid trained ( human). Now I have more time on my hands I would love to care for your pooch. I enjoy taking long walks with my own little fella and love being outdoors. I have experience with puppies, nervous and excitable dogs. I enjoy the socialisation puppy and dog ownership brings and love nothing more than engaging with our dog walking community. I offer short walks, long walks, cuddles, play, interaction with your precious and loyal companions. Whatever the weather you will find me walking my own fur baby, teaching him to talk and having fun. I would love to walk more pooches and give them the attention and love they deserve.
“Edwina (and partner) were absolutely brilliant. Smooth and regular communication throughout the whole process. And Django was very relaxed in their house! Would recommend to anyone!”

About: I've grown up around dogs all my life and they've always been part of my family. While I haven't owned a dog myself as an adult, I regularly care for my sister's dog, both in her home and in my own flat, so I'm comfortable with day-to-day routines, walks, feeding, playtime and providing plenty of attention and companionship. I work remotely from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day to care for pets. This means I can accommodate daytime walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules and toilet breaks, rather than being limited to mornings and evenings. For dogs boarding with me, they will have company for most of the day and won't be left alone for long periods. I can provide regular walks, playtime and attention alongside maintaining their usual routine. I'm also available for house sitting and can work remotely from your home, allowing me to spend more time with your pet and minimize disruption to their normal environment and schedule. Your pet's safety, comfort and wellbeing are my top priorities. I live in a first-floor flat in a quiet area and take care to provide a calm and safe environment for any dog in my care. Although I do not have a garden, I live next to a canal, with plenty of nearby green space and walking routes, making it easy to provide regular exercise, enrichment and outdoor time throughout the day. As I work remotely, I am able to keep a close eye on pets in my care and ensure they receive plenty of attention and companionship. I understand that every dog has different needs and routines, and I will always follow your instructions carefully to help them feel settled, happy and secure while you're away. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind that your pet is being well looked after.
About: My boyfriend and I both grew up with family dogs, and ever since moving in together had our own dog. We trained her via doggy school since she was a little pup and took her on many adventures that went as far as moving to the UK with her. We regularly looked after our families dogs as well when they went away on holiday. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our little girl recently due to age. While we are looking for our next sweetheart, we have an abundance of love, walks and empty spots on the sofa for your furry friend! I work from home, but I occasionally have to travel for work and my partner is only 10 minutes away - both with flexible hours. This allows us to plan our days around your dogs needs! We live less then a minute walk from a big park and can easily go for multiple walks a day if they’re up to it. We also have a fully enclosed garden with space for running around. We’re flexible with your dogs needs, whether they require a crate to sleep in, prefer to sleep on the couch or on their doggy bed, just let us know. Near the end of her life, our dog became blind with different health issues. Going through this gives us experience to also take care of (senior) dogs who have a complex medical history. We have full flexibility for how we plan our working days. Whether we wake up early to go for a walk before breakfast, use our lunch break, or swap our evening sports for a long walk, we will adjust based on your dogs usual routine. With our enclosed garden, there’s plenty of playtime opportunities as well! In the weekend, we are able to make sure one of us is at home for most of the day if required. The garden is spacious and dog friendly. The house has enough room to place the dog’s personal bed or crate if needed. They are more then welcome to join us (and sleep) on our sofa as well. Feeding and walking are arranged to what they are used to, no matter how many times a day. Different medical routines are easily incorporated - experience with eye drops as well as regular pills.
About: 🐾 About Me Hi! I’m Hayley, and I offer loving, reliable dog boarding and daycare in a safe, calm home environment 🐾 I live with my mum in a pet-friendly maisonette with a fully fenced grass garden — perfect for playtime, toilet breaks, and relaxing outdoors. Between us, we both work hybrid jobs, which means someone is always home all day, every day, so your dog will never be left alone for long periods. We’ve been dog owners and lovers all our lives, and currently have a friendly chihuahua called Peach, who is 10 and very used to having other dogs around. 🐶 Experience I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I share a husky called Clover (2 years old), who I raised from a puppy, so I’m very comfortable with larger, high-energy breeds as well as puppy training and routines. Before that, I had a Westie called George who lived to 14, so I also understand the extra care, patience, and attention that senior dogs need. This mix of experience means I’m confident adapting to different temperaments — whether that’s playful, nervous, energetic, or more relaxed dogs. (I’ll always let you know in advance if Clover is staying, so you can decide what’s best for your dog.) 🐶 What You Can Expect Your dog will be treated like part of the family — not just a guest 💛 I’ll follow your routine as closely as possible, including: Feeding schedules Walk routines Sleep preferences Any little quirks or habits There’s always time for attention, play, and cuddles throughout the day, plus access to our secure garden. 🏡 Home Environment Fully fenced grass garden 🌿 Calm, cosy home setting Someone always home Safe, supervised interactions with other dogs To keep things comfortable in our space, we currently accept small to medium-sized dogs. ❤️ Why Choose Me? Constant supervision — no long periods alone Experience with puppies, seniors & larger breeds Genuine, lifelong dog lovers Safe, enclosed outdoor space Regular updates for peace of mind I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone, so I’m always happy to arrange a meet & greet beforehand. 🐾 Updates & Communication I’ll send regular updates, photos, and little check-ins so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, settled, and well cared for 📸 Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine as both me and my mum work hybrid jobs, meaning someone is always home throughout the day, every day. We already have an established routine with our dog, Peach, who is typically fed at 8am and 5pm, with walks shortly after. However, we’re very happy to adapt this to suit your dog’s usual schedule, whether that’s different feeding times, walk routines, or specific needs. There are plenty of opportunities for garden time, play, and toilet breaks throughout the day, as well as a calm, relaxed environment for dogs who prefer a quieter pace. Your dog will have constant company, supervision, and attention, and will be treated as part of the family. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priority at all times. In our home, dogs are cared for in a calm, secure environment with a fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time. All dogs are supervised, especially when interacting with each other, to make sure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. I always take time to understand each dog’s personality, routine, and any specific needs before their stay, so I can provide care that suits them individually. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I’m confident adapting to what each dog needs — whether that’s more play, more rest, or a bit of extra reassurance. Our home is a non-smoking, pet-friendly space where dogs are treated as part of the family. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos, so you always know how your dog is getting on. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I do ask that dogs are friendly with other dogs and comfortable in a home environment.

Vikki has been the perfect match for my pet. She is so sweet and reliable, couldn't be happier, especially because my dog is very sensitive and being a rescue too, he needed extra attention. I explained all the needs to taking care of Apricot and she did her best to make us, and especially him, feel at home. Can't recommend enough, will definitely book with her again.

Eleanor and Dillon have a really warm and welcoming nature took great care of our rescue Cockapoo for a week whilst we went away. She can be challenging on a walk and needed to see the vet and they handled it all amazingly and kept us updated throughout. Thanks both 😊.

Victoria was absolutely amazing! Her gentle nature with Rufus made it obvious that she treats your pets like her own family members. She shared plenty of photos and videos and is a great communicator. I would definitely recommend her, and we will absolutely be back. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Rufus he had a great time! x

Bertie was very chilled when I collected him and seemed quite sad not to be staying for longer. He obviously had a lovely time and had become quite attached to you during his stay. Thank you so much for looking after him so well on his first experience with a sitter.

Evelina provided excellent care for our dog Domind She was very considerate of his needs and sent us regular updates and photos. Domino seemed relaxed with Evelina from the start and obviously enjoyed his stay. He loved the walks and the company of her dog would definitely recommend Evelina and have another stay with her booked. Thank you Evelina 😊

This was the third time we left our dog Calli with John & Teresa and as usual she loved it. On arrival, Calli disappeared upstairs and settled straight in - which was great to see. We got some nice pictures while we were away and daily updates which put our mind at rest. We collected Calli after 8 days and as before, we could see the bond that John & Teresa have formed with her. Although it’s a 45 minutes drive from our home, it’s well worth it knowing that Calli is so well cared for. Thanks Again.

Sam seemed very very happy staying at Susan's house. Susan sent us regular photos and updates and Sam always looked warm and comfy, was regularly walked and was allowed to really be part of her family. It was great to hear that Sam and Susan's dog got on well and were very similar. We were out of the country, over the Christmas holidays, so we were so very grateful to know that Sam was being treated so well. Sam had medication requirements and Susan was happy to give him this. We would definitely recommend Susan, everything went perfectly, and we hope she will have Sam again in the future.

Sarah and Jack went above and beyond to give our dog the best time! We had a meet and greet beforehand which was reassuring and they sent lovely photos during Boris’s stay. He has obviously been very well cared-for and was very relaxed in their home. I have no hesitation in recommending them and we’ll be entrusting them again with Boris very soon!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
