Sam is playful and friendly and would love the company of another dog too, I have a spacious garden, and a cool house in summer. I work from home so can look after your pup. I am saving for a new house so I’m pretty much home all the time! a lunchtime walk and access to a large fenced garden and a cool living room/kitchen. I spend most of the day with a golden retriever so can offer human and mutt company for your pup!
“Jasper had a brilliant time with graham and his dog wilf. Graham sent daily videos and photos of Jasper on his walks and playing with wilf .which were very reassuring. Would definitely use graham again. 💯 recommend”

“It was our first time having a sitter for Spark and I felt really reassured when meeting Tarnya. She clearly has alot of experience with dogs and I knew that Spark would be well looked after. Thanks so much for looking after him, I'm sure he will be back soon!”

“From the moment we met Jamie and his wife, we knew our black Lab would be well taken care of and that we could go away for a few days without any concerns about dog sitting. Communication was excellent both before and during Dido's stay, and Jamie sent us plenty of photos throughout. The entire experience was a pleasure, and I would highly recommend Jamie's services. Thanks!”

About: Hi! I’m a caring, reliable animal lover and proud dog owner. I have a female Cockapoo called Maeve who is spayed and has a wonderful personality. She’s energetic, playful, cuddly, and loves meeting other dogs. One of the reasons I’m excited to offer pet sitting is that I’d love for Maeve to make more doggy friends. While I’d love a second dog one day, I can’t commit to one just yet, so Rover is the perfect way to spend more time with amazing dogs while giving them a safe, loving environment. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, as I would want the very best care for Maeve when she’s with someone else. I will treat your dog like one of my own, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, affection, and care tailored to their individual needs and routine. I work from home so your pups will never be alone for long periods of time, and theres lots of fields near me for our pups to run and play! Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the sofa, or simply having company throughout the day, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well looked after. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member and giving them a fun, safe, and loving home away from home! - full DBS 📄 I work from home, which means I can provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will have regular opportunities for toilet breaks, playtime, enrichment, and cuddles. I live close to open fields and walking routes, so your pup will enjoy plenty of exercise, fresh air, and fun adventures. I am flexible with drop-off and pick-up times where possible and will always do my best to accommodate your dog’s usual routine. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving home environment where dogs are treated like family. I have a friendly, spayed Cockapoo called Maeve who loves meeting new dogs and enjoys playing, walking, and relaxing with canine friends. I live close to large fields and green spaces for safe, enjoyable walks and exercise. I carefully follow each dog’s feeding, walking, and care routine and will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“We’ve had a great experience with our cat sitters – they were absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, it was clear how kind, gentle, and genuinely caring they are. Our cat Tibby had never stayed away from home before, so we were naturally a bit nervous, but Leah was so reassuring and made me feel completely at ease. Throughout Tibby’s stay, we received regular updates and photos, which meant so much to us and really showed how well he was being looked after. It was so comforting to see him relaxed, happy, and clearly in such good hands. They treated Tibby like one of their own, and we could tell he was extremely well cared for. We’re beyond grateful to both Leah and her partner for their kindness and attentiveness, and we would gladly have Tibby stay with them again in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for loving and reliable cat care!”

About: Your dog will be apart of our loving family with lots of cuddles, playtime, walks & treats (if aloud by owner) When we look after your beloved dog we will ensure their needs are put first. Unfortunately, we lost our bulldog Bonnie recently and this has given us the passion and desire to look after other peoples dogs. We always found this difficult and a challenge knowing who to trust with Bonnie and my goal is to help others feel at ease. We as a family have experience being around a variety of breeds including young & old dogs. I currently work full-time in the community, however I work from home majority of the working week. Also, if I am not home my mum is at home as she only works part-time. At the weekends everybody in the house is home. Your dog will not be on their own longer than a couple of hours at a time. I have a private secure back garden where dogs will have access to safely and securely. I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I am honest, trustworthy and have a genuine love & care for animals especially dogs!
“Amazing first couple of nights with Silvia's family, they have a friendly dog who Weston could play with and kept us up to date throughout his stay. We couldn't have been happier with how Weston was treated and would really recommend these sitters to anyone with a friendly dog! 10/10”

Vikki has been the perfect match for my pet. She is so sweet and reliable, couldn't be happier, especially because my dog is very sensitive and being a rescue too, he needed extra attention. I explained all the needs to taking care of Apricot and she did her best to make us, and especially him, feel at home. Can't recommend enough, will definitely book with her again.

Victoria was absolutely amazing! Her gentle nature with Rufus made it obvious that she treats your pets like her own family members. She shared plenty of photos and videos and is a great communicator. I would definitely recommend her, and we will absolutely be back. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Rufus he had a great time! x

Bertie was very chilled when I collected him and seemed quite sad not to be staying for longer. He obviously had a lovely time and had become quite attached to you during his stay. Thank you so much for looking after him so well on his first experience with a sitter.

Evelina provided excellent care for our dog Domind She was very considerate of his needs and sent us regular updates and photos. Domino seemed relaxed with Evelina from the start and obviously enjoyed his stay. He loved the walks and the company of her dog would definitely recommend Evelina and have another stay with her booked. Thank you Evelina 😊

This was the third time we left our dog Calli with John & Teresa and as usual she loved it. On arrival, Calli disappeared upstairs and settled straight in - which was great to see. We got some nice pictures while we were away and daily updates which put our mind at rest. We collected Calli after 8 days and as before, we could see the bond that John & Teresa have formed with her. Although it’s a 45 minutes drive from our home, it’s well worth it knowing that Calli is so well cared for. Thanks Again.

Sam seemed very very happy staying at Susan's house. Susan sent us regular photos and updates and Sam always looked warm and comfy, was regularly walked and was allowed to really be part of her family. It was great to hear that Sam and Susan's dog got on well and were very similar. We were out of the country, over the Christmas holidays, so we were so very grateful to know that Sam was being treated so well. Sam had medication requirements and Susan was happy to give him this. We would definitely recommend Susan, everything went perfectly, and we hope she will have Sam again in the future.

Sarah and Jack went above and beyond to give our dog the best time! We had a meet and greet beforehand which was reassuring and they sent lovely photos during Boris’s stay. He has obviously been very well cared-for and was very relaxed in their home. I have no hesitation in recommending them and we’ll be entrusting them again with Boris very soon!

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
