Energentic early retired couple -Lovers of animals
We both grew up in families where dogs and cats played an important part in our lives. As a married couple, we owned a cocker spaniel called Millie for 14 years. Losing her left a very large hole in our lives and we help to fill that hole by looking after other people’s dogs. We love to create a loving and caring bond with the dogs that we look after.

This was the third time we left our dog Calli with John & Teresa and as usual she loved it. On arrival, Calli disappeared upstairs and settled straight in - which was great to see. We got some nice pictures while we were away and daily updates which put our mind at rest. We collected Calli after 8 days and as before, we could see the bond that John & Teresa have formed with her. Although it’s a 45 minutes drive from our home, it’s well worth it knowing that Calli is so well cared for. Thanks Again.
John & Teresa looked after our ‘giant teddy bear’ Calli for 8 nights in February while we went abroad. We had previously had a one night trial to ensure all went well. Leaving a dog is a big decision - but with John & Teresa, we knew all would be well as soon as we first met them. They are true dog lovers who ensured that Calli was well looked after and given long and varied walks to keep her happy. When it came time to collect Calli, it was very clear that she had made a special bond with John & Teresa and that was lovely to see. We have already booked another 8 night stay in April. Thanks John & Teresa for taking such good care of Calli-Bear.
We left our Caucasian Shepherd Cross rescue - Calli - with John and Teresa for a 24 hour period to see how she got on - prior to a couple of week long stints that we have booked with them in February and April. We had also been for a meet and greet prior to leaving her. It was clear from our first meeting that John and Teresa are lovely people who really care about dogs and also know how to look after them and make sure they are happy. We got a photo of Calli out on a walk in the country park that borders John and Teresa’s house. She was given 2 long walks during the day. On collecting Calli, I could see that she had bonded well and was very much at home - which was great to see and put our minds at rest about leaving her for longer periods. Knowing that Calli will be so well looked after is very important to us and John and Teresa are the perfect people to ensure that is the case. Thank you very much. See you in February.
John & Teresa are really lovely petsitters. It was obvious that they love dogs, and that Waffle was well looked after and we will have no hesitation booking them again.
Nala has loved staying with John and Teresa , it was the first time we left Nala for 10 days which was really hard but she had the best time and we felt so comfortable , we now feel at ease booking a holiday knowing she has a home to stay at x
John & Teresa are so caring, kind and do a fantastic job looking after Bailey when we leave him with them.Bailey loves his walks, playing with his ball blaster and he loves being with John & Teresa. They are both lovely and I never have to worry about Bailey when they are looking after him. Thanks Ann & Bailey

Schedule
We are both lucky enough to have taken early retirement from our careers and this enables us to devote as much time as is needed to look after our beloved furry guests. We will fulfil the owners instructions regarding their dogs; it may be that they need 100% attention or you may prefer them to be left on their own for a short while.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a good sized, fence secured, garden with a lawn for dogs to play on. The garden has a locked gate which leads to a country park and the vast countryside - doggy heaven. We are keen walkers so we can give your dog all the exercise that they need. Inside the house we will again abide by your instructions, they can have access to the run of the house and can sleep with us if that is what they are used to. We are more than happy to accommodate any special requirements. Meet and great before booking is welcome. We can send you doggy updates and pictures plus we are happy to do video calls with your dog when they are missed.
A typical day
We love to stimulate our special guests by giving them all the attention that they require and love to play games with them. With the countryside just beyond our back garden, your dogs will love to explore new smells and new walks, at their required pace.
