Dog Boarding in Amber Valley

About: I have grown up around dogs from a young age and had a cat when I was small. Both parents have dogs, and we also had a dog. We had our first dog from 9 weeks old, and her name was Sophie. Sophie was a Rottweiler cross American Bulldog and was amazing. Unfortunately we lost Sophie to Cushings disease in January 2024. She was only 7. We have taken care of dogs on my mums side, Murphy who has sadly passed now, and Barney the newest member of the family. Both who are Spaniels. We also have my sister in laws Cat, Rocco, who is a Bengal. We often have him when they go away, so this could be between 1-3 weeks at a time. We truly miss having our own furry family member, but we just aren’t quite ready for another yet. But because of this, we would love to help others out who are in need of care for their furry members. It would be such a privilege to give our care, attention and love to them. In our home there are 5 of us. Myself, my partner George, and our three children who are the ages of 11, 7 and 5. I am currently working from home trying to get my own little business on the go, so I have a lot of time for some love, walks, playtime, toilet time etc. I only really leave the house for the school runs. We have a fenced garden, open downstairs, and a nice big field nearby. We don’t currently have any of our own furry friends, but the nearby field is always full of others for yours to socialise with. We do have a medium sized crate if needed.

About: Dogs came into my life in 1979 when I was 12. My mum came home with a rescued Yorkshire Terrier because we loved her so much we added another Yorkie and a German Shepherd to our family. I have had dogs ever since. I have two dogs of my own - both rescued and have done a lot of volunteering for Pug Dog Welfare. I have a lot of experience and knowledge and am aware of a dogs wants and daily needs. My dogs sleep on the bed with me ( they are actually quite spoilt!) , get a huge amount of attention and are walked every day. You can expect the same treatment for your dogs when staying with me. I’m currently working part time from home but have plenty of time to see to the needs of your dog 😊 My dogs are walked twice a day before work and after with regular comfort breaks. I have two friendly small dogs: a pug and a Brussels Griffon both rescued. We have a walled garden and a courtyard that the dogs can use. I am happy to sit dogs from the same family. I have used crates in the past and am happy to use a crate if that’s one of your normal practices.

“Karolina recently looked after my 16 week old puppy and did an amazing job! She welcomed him into her family for the night and made sure that he got plenty of love and attention. She kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos and he seemed very comfortable there so I was able to go away without worrying. He came back to me happy and healthy.”

“What a fabulous time Oban had with Amber, Evie, Mable and Marmalade. Amber is very confident around animals and we immediately felt reassured that Oban was going to settle in and be happy there. We had lots of photos and updates throught the 2 days which we really appreciated, he looked so happy, cosy around the log burner with Mable their spaniel and Marmalade the cat and loving life running aound the local park with Mable. We were worried he wouldnt want to come home. Highly recommend Amber and her "team". Oban would too ❤️”

About: I have 2 years of Level 3 Animal Care Experience at college where I studied their welfare and did 200+ hours of work experience including kennel and Cattery boarding, dog walking and vet nursing - I love all animals big and small! Whenever family and friends are away I’m always their first call to look after their loved fluffy family members! I work during the week but weekends are free to take care of any pets in need of a place to stay, those needed walks or regular check ins for feeding, toilet breaks or anything else needed. My house is secure, I have a nice big garden with plenty of grass and patio fenced garden where your pets can have a run around during the day when I’m with them and I live super close to numerous nice walking areas, big fields and parks where I can take your pets on regular walks. I’m happy for a meet and greet in person first and for you to come and have a look where they will be staying if necessary. Although I live with my partner, I will be sole carer for your pets.
