Evie has grown up on a family-run dairy farm and has always loved being around all types of animals, including their energetic border collies and loving cats. Amber has grown up with lots of small pets & a loving golden retriever. We’ve since moved to the Alfreton area and added our very energetic cocker spaniel, Maple, to the family. Maple had a planned litter of puppies in 2024 from which we decided to keep another lovely spaniel, Daisy! Both girls love the company of other dogs and are very sociable. We’re used to all types of dogs including young (crazy!) puppies and elderly dogs that both need that extra care and attention.

Monty returned from his boarding happy and relaxed. As ever Evelyn had taken excellent care of him. He has a large garden to play in with the 2 resident dogs. Evelyn is very responsible and caring and we know he is in safe hands.
Evie & Amber did such a wonderful job of looking after Penny, she had an absolute blast! They were extremely responsive and sent me lots of lovely photos which let me know I had nothing to worry about. I would give a 6 star rating if I could. Penny is looking forward to her next visit!
Monty had a great time with this family. The photos supplied showed him romping about with the 2 resident dogs. He was very happy when we collected him. Thank you to Evelyn and Amber for a successful board.
My husband and I have recently moved into the area and were in need of someone to feed our lovely boy, Jack whilst we spent the weekend with family. Jack is our 9 year old cat who struggles with changes to his environment and the moved was a real challenge for him so we needed someone who was able to pop in to feed him and give him some attention whilst we were away. Evelyn was brilliant. She was able to give us the drop-in service Jack needed and both she and Amber struck up a connection with Jack straight away. He really loved having cuddles from them and enjoyed his playtime after being fed. We were also kept informed with photos and an update as to how Jack was, daily. We came home to a very calm and happy boy. Thank you Evelyn and Amber for all the care and attention you gave Jack.
We always feel relaxed leaving Monty with Evelyn and Amber. They take great care of him and are very conscientious and dedicated. He loves being with their 2 dogs and settles down quickly. In addition to walks, there is a lovely big, secure garden to play in.
My dog rolo went to these lovely ladies for the first time last weekend. He absolutely had the time of his life playing with their pup daisy They sent photos and messages all the time we were away and even delivered him safely home as we were late getting back thank you rolo will definitely be back 😊

Schedule
Our typical routine: We both currently Work From Home for our jobs, so we have plenty of time to look after our own and other furry friends. Our working hours are very flexible so we’d be able to accommodate the specific needs of your pets. On weekdays, we usually take Maple and Daisy on a lunch time run and again in the evening. If your dog is used to a morning walk, we’re happy to suit their needs. On weekends, we like to venture further into the countryside for a scenic walk.

Safety, trust & environment
Home boarding: We have a large fenced garden that your dog has full roam of if you choose to board. We also have lots of toys that your dog can enjoy. Both of our girls are crate trained, and use it where necessary, but both currently sleep where they want downstairs. We have a spare medium crate that your dog can use, or if they do not use a crate, we can put their bed wherever you/they prefer! We've had many dogs round and both Maple and Daisy are great with them all. They’ve both been well socialised and will either play with other dogs or often keep to themselves whilst another dog is in the house. If we have another dog round, we always feed our dogs in different rooms. Luckily, neither Maple nor Daisy have any issues with resource guarding with food (nor toys/beds) however we will still keep them separate when eating as a precaution. House sits: If home-boarding isn’t your thing, we’re also available to look after your furry friends in the comfort of your own home. As there are 2 of us, usually one of us will be staying at your home looking after your pets and the other will be at our home with our own dogs. We’re both very clean and organised and will always treat your home with great care as if it were our own.
Pets
A typical day
When we are looking after other dogs, we love to play with them in the garden and inside the house. We have plenty of toys and some enrichment games for those days when you can’t go out (heatwave days in particular!). We walk Maple every day - there are lots of green spaces around us that we’re able to let her off the lead and have a good run and sniff! Whether your dog is best off the lead or on, they’ll still enjoy the perks of the countryside!
