About: Hi! I’m Jasmine, and I have lots of hands-on experience caring for animals. I currently work as a veterinary receptionist at a small animal vets, so I’m used to being around animals every day and understand the importance of their health, welfare and individual routines. I’m also starting an Animal Science course at college and working towards a career in veterinary nursing. I’m responsible, caring and reliable, and I’m very happy to follow detailed instructions from owners. I understand that every dog is different, so I’ll always take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy while they’re in my care. 🐾 I’d love to meet you and your dog and hopefully become someone you can trust for regular walks, drop-ins or pet care! ❤️ Pet care would fit really well around my current lifestyle. I work part-time at a small animal vets and will be starting my Animal Science course at college, so I would mainly offer pet care around my existing commitments, particularly evenings, weekends and days when I’m available. I’m organised and responsible with my time and would only accept bookings that I know I can give my full attention to. I’m hoping to build up a small amount of regular pet care alongside work and college, rather than taking on too much. I’d especially love to build relationships with local owners who need someone reliable for regular dog walks, drop-in visits or occasional pet sitting. I have dogs of my own, so I’m very used to caring for animals safely and responsibly. I make sure they’re secure, have everything they need, and are never left without proper care. 🐶❤️

“Sarah is a friendly and very competant cat sitter. We’ve not had a cat sitter before but would defintely be booking her again for our next holiday knowing our cats will be well looked after. Sarah sent us an update and pictures of the cats on each visit which made us feel comfortable knowing the cats were all OK at home. Many thanks again Sarah.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for my entire life. From alsatians to chihuahuas I've looked after them all and know that no two dogs are the same but all dogs deserve love and attention. I'm currently working part time and from home so I have plenty of time for cuddles and snuggles. Having your companion will be my excuse to move between online meetings meaning we are looking after each other. I have a fenced garden and live on a very quiet estate with country walks and fields less than 5 minutes away. We have an open plan living room so even in the house there is room to wander.
“Julia was amazing! She was quick to reply to any message sent and when visiting she took lovely photos and let us know exactly how he was and what he'd been up to! Would 100% recommend her to anyone needing a pooch looking after 🙂”

She closely follows the instructions for my cat's meal plan and leaves very thorough notes on how much he has eaten and his behaviour. I would absolutely recommend Megan to anyone who is looking for a kind and responsible person to care for their pets while they're away.”

About: I've spent a number of years living with and caring for dogs in a home environment, developing practical day-to-day experience in understanding their needs, routines, and behaviour. This includes caring for my own dog, Pickles, a dachshund who can be very nervous and fearful outside, which has given me real experience in patience, building confidence, and working gently with anxious dogs. I have experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, and I always adapt my approach to suit each individual dog. I believe in positive reinforcement and creating calm, enjoyable experiences that build trust and confidence. Whether your dog enjoys an energetic adventure or a relaxed stroll with plenty of sniffing opportunities, I'll ensure they receive the care, attention, and exercise they deserve. **My Schedule** 🐾 **Monday – Friday** * Available for walks and drop-in visits between **3:00pm and 5:00pm**. 🐾 **Flexible Bookings** Need something outside these times? Feel free to send me a message, and I'll do my best to accommodate where possible. **Safety, Trust & Environment** Your dog's safety, happiness, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I believe every dog deserves patience, kindness, and positive experiences, and I tailor my care to each dog's individual needs and personality. I provide calm, structured walks and avoid overcrowded areas or situations that may cause stress. I use positive reinforcement and never use harsh handling or punishment. Fresh water, rest breaks, and plenty of attention are always provided, and I will keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your dog is enjoying their time with me. I take the time to understand your dog's routine, preferences, and any special requirements before our first walk. Whether your dog is energetic and adventurous or prefers a slower pace, I aim to create a safe, enriching environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. Building trust with both dogs and their owners is incredibly important to me, and I treat every dog as if they were my own.

About: Hi, I’m Elle! I’m based in Belper/Ripley, Derbyshire and work from home three days a week, while leading a very active lifestyle. I’ve always volunteered to look after family and friends’ dogs, whether that was taking them for walks or house sitting while their owners were away. Over the past few years, I’ve become really close with my partner’s dog, which has only grown my love for spending time with dogs. Through my experience, I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to older dogs with different needs. I’m confident following feeding schedules and dietary requirements, giving medication if needed, and making sure every dog gets the exercise, attention and care they deserve. I genuinely love being around dogs and always treat every one as if they were my own. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting during the day, making sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise and care while you’re away. Please note that I don’t offer overnight stays. I currently work a flexible, hybrid role where I am able to visit or walk your pets at any time of the day. After work each day and most weekends, I typically do an outdoor activity of running or walking and would love a fury friend to join me on these evenings, or I would be happy to wind down after a long day, whatever suits your pets needs. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and home is a big decision so I will treat both with the upmost respect. I will always make sure your pet follows their daily routine to help them feel most comfortable, while ensuring they have love, food, water and plenty of treats! I will follow any instructions around your home safety, and I will always send many photos and updates throughout the day.
About: Hi! I’m Jade, a huge animal lover who has grown up around dogs and horses my whole life. I offer fun, safe walks and loving home-from-home stays. Dogs in my care get plenty of exercise, attention and cuddles, and I always treat them like part of the family. I’m confident with dogs of all sizes, especially larger breeds, and I’m used to strong, energetic dogs who love a good adventure. At home your dog will be welcomed into a calm, loving environment with my friendly dog Reggie. I also have a young 5 year old son who has grown up around animals and is very gentle with them. Whether it’s a walk, daycare or a sleepover, my goal is always the same — a happy, safe and tired pup by the end of the day! My day starts early with breakfast around 8am before the school run. I do the school drop-off at 8:30am and I’m back home by 9am ready for morning walks and pet care. Late mornings are usually spent out walking, playing and giving dogs plenty of exercise and attention. Lunch is around 12pm followed by more walks or outdoor time, depending on the dog’s needs. My partner works from home, so there is almost always someone in the house during the day which means dogs are rarely left alone. In the afternoon and early evening we head out for more walks before dinner around 5:30pm. Evenings are relaxed with cuddles, settling down and a final toilet break or short walk before bedtime around 10pm. Your dog will be treated like part of the family and included in our daily routine Your dog’s safety, happiness and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and personalities and always take the time to understand each dog’s routine, behaviour and needs. Walks are carried out safely using secure leads and suitable walking routes, with plenty of exercise, attention and fresh water. At home, dogs have space to relax and settle wherever they feel comfortable. My partner works from home, so there is almost always someone in the house, meaning dogs are rarely left alone. I also have a friendly dog at home who is used to being around other dogs. In addition, I have a young child who has grown up around animals and is very gentle with them, so I do ask that any dogs staying with us are friendly and comfortable around children. I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet before a booking so both you and your dog can feel completely comfortable and confident they’re in safe hands.

About: Hi! 👋 A little bit about me…I’ve grown up with animals in my life and have had pets since age of 5. Growing up on a farm, I’ve always naturally had an affinity for animals. I have experience looking after kittens, puppies, cats as well as dogs. I have been trusted to dog sit for friends and family for most of my adult life, but have been doing so professionally for the last few years. If you have any questions at all - feel free to message me. I currently work from home so have now got increased capacity to make weekly trips to look after other peoples pets. Hence I am opening my availability up to provide care for more pets. Caring for each pet is different and I am more than happy to meet requirements of each pet’s specific needs and routine alongside providing a watchful eye and fulfilling their personal interactive needs such as cuddles/petting, treats, and continuing their training as requested.

Kristina was brilliant looking after our 2 cats whilst we were away for the week. She sent updates and pics daily which was really appreciated, and it was very reassuring to know each day everything was ok and that they were well cared for in our absence. I can't thank Kristina enough and wouldn't hesitate in recommending!
Sarah is a friendly and very competant cat sitter. We’ve not had a cat sitter before but would defintely be booking her again for our next holiday knowing our cats will be well looked after. Sarah sent us an update and pictures of the cats on each visit which made us feel comfortable knowing the cats were all OK at home. Many thanks again Sarah.

I honestly can’t thank Megan enough for the amazing care she gave our cats, Monoco and Goose, while my partner and I attended my partner’s grandad’s funeral. It was such a difficult day for us, and knowing they were in such kind and capable hands gave us one less thing to worry about. Megan kept in touch throughout the day with plenty of thoughtful updates and photos, so we always knew what they were up to. It was so reassuring to see how happy and settled they were. She also went above and beyond by scooping their litter tray, washing their bowls, and refreshing their water, even though I’d told her she didn’t need to. It’s clear that Megan genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. Everything was absolutely perfect, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with Monoco and Goose again. I can’t recommend her highly enough – she’s truly wonderful. Thank you so much, Megan!

I needed to go out for the evening. Oliver let me know that he was able to help. He came round for the meet and greet and spent quite a bit of time with the dogs, while i explained what i needed. I highly recommend Oliver 10/10

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
