Megan has been just perfect, she was super friendly, accommodating and looked after our dog wonderfully. She kept us up to date and sent regular pictures to show how much of a good time he was having. We will 100% be booking future daycare and overnights with Megan for sure. Megan thank you so much for taking care of our boy, we are so pleased he now has a new girlfriend too! :)

About: Hi! I’m Jade, a huge animal lover who has grown up around dogs and horses my whole life. I offer fun, safe walks and loving home-from-home stays. Dogs in my care get plenty of exercise, attention and cuddles, and I always treat them like part of the family. I’m confident with dogs of all sizes, especially larger breeds, and I’m used to strong, energetic dogs who love a good adventure. At home your dog will be welcomed into a calm, loving environment with my friendly dog Reggie. I also have a young 5 year old son who has grown up around animals and is very gentle with them. Whether it’s a walk, daycare or a sleepover, my goal is always the same — a happy, safe and tired pup by the end of the day! My day starts early with breakfast around 8am before the school run. I do the school drop-off at 8:30am and I’m back home by 9am ready for morning walks and pet care. Late mornings are usually spent out walking, playing and giving dogs plenty of exercise and attention. Lunch is around 12pm followed by more walks or outdoor time, depending on the dog’s needs. My partner works from home, so there is almost always someone in the house during the day which means dogs are rarely left alone. In the afternoon and early evening we head out for more walks before dinner around 5:30pm. Evenings are relaxed with cuddles, settling down and a final toilet break or short walk before bedtime around 10pm. Your dog will be treated like part of the family and included in our daily routine Your dog’s safety, happiness and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and personalities and always take the time to understand each dog’s routine, behaviour and needs. Walks are carried out safely using secure leads and suitable walking routes, with plenty of exercise, attention and fresh water. At home, dogs have space to relax and settle wherever they feel comfortable. My partner works from home, so there is almost always someone in the house, meaning dogs are rarely left alone. I also have a friendly dog at home who is used to being around other dogs. In addition, I have a young child who has grown up around animals and is very gentle with them, so I do ask that any dogs staying with us are friendly and comfortable around children. I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet before a booking so both you and your dog can feel completely comfortable and confident they’re in safe hands.

I’ve booked with Hayley and Pete a few times now and I wouldn’t want my furry friend to go anywhere else. Lots of love, care, and fun walks, and it’s real peace of mind to know he’s with such a lovely family. I would highly recommend. Graham, Hazel, Michael and Snoops. 🐶

For a first time ever at daycare I'm really pleased. Obi is a nervous little guy sometimes and Dilma and co. really helped Obi feel comfortable. He even had a little nap which I was surprised at. I didn't know if he was going to be able to settle in a strange environment. Will definitely be coming back for another play day x

About: I work from home doing an admin based job, and I’d love to break my day up visiting and looking after peoples furry family members! I got my first pets at 13, two cats called Fifi and Coco, and they’re now 17 years old and living their best lives as the princesses of the family! I’m now 29 and I’ve now added two dogs to my family. I’ve got an almost 2year old Labrador called Bea and an almost 1year old Weimaraner called Bear. All of my furry family members are my chosen family and I don’t know what I would do without them! They are truly what makes me smile the most everyday! Although I have no formal training, I do carry out their nail clipping (both the cats and the dogs), brushing, grooming, medication administration, and ear and eye cleaning! I also shower my dogs at home, but the cats don’t appreciate it so they’re let off bath time! I have also looked after my friends dogs a couple of times on extended stays. They have a male and a female Weimaraner. But my latest stay consisted of house sitting whilst they went on holiday, and I stayed to look after their two adult dogs and five puppies, and I took Bea with me. So a whole week on my own with eight dogs!! I work for myself at home so my schedule is fairly flexible, I’m able to take on some same day bookings depending on my workload, but I would love to ‘collect’ some regular drop ins and dog walks to make my admin days more enjoyable and to get me out of the house and moving! I live in a 2 bed house, with a garden! I also live close to lots of local green spaces which my dog loves running round. My girl is dog friendly and calm natured so would be very happy to keep your dogs company on walks, but equally she’s happy to be left when needed!

Zoe was absolutely fantastic! Prior to accepting my booking we met for a meet and greet and Zoe diligently weren't through my dogs needs. It is very clear she understand the behaviour of dogs and places an importance on their individual needs. Ollie is a rescue and his first experience away from me since leaving the shelter was being dropped off at Zoes and I needn't have worried because a few Horus later I received some gorgeous videos of Ollie having the best time, clearly happy and at ease with Zoe. But what's amazing is because of Zoe's knowledge and training she spent some time with Ollie sharpening up his lead skills and noticeably the next day Ollie was walking to heel beautifully and had learned off Zoe's dogs to come back to a whistle. I'll be booking Ollie in again as it is very clear this was a very positive experience for him and is reinforcing his training. Thank you Zoe!

About: I've taken care of dogs for my entire life. From alsatians to chihuahuas I've looked after them all and know that no two dogs are the same but all dogs deserve love and attention. I'm currently working part time and from home so I have plenty of time for cuddles and snuggles. Having your companion will be my excuse to move between online meetings meaning we are looking after each other. I have a fenced garden and live on a very quiet estate with country walks and fields less than 5 minutes away. We have an open plan living room so even in the house there is room to wander.

Barkley went to Jane again today and, as always, had a wonderful time with her and her two dogs. We love how happy and settled he is in Jane’s care, and it’s so reassuring to know he’s being looked after so well. Barkley absolutely loves his time with her, and we couldn’t ask for a better doggy daycare!

About: Over the years I have many pets from hampsters to horses and pretty much everything in between. I love all things animals. I worked for a national dog walking company which lead to my interest in training dogs. After loosing my own 14 year old german shepherd working with dogs seemed to be the next step. I currently own 1 cat, 11 tarantulas, 1 snake, 1 lizard and a horse. So as you can tell I'm more than happy to work with exotics as well. All breeds of dog are welcome with me including those deemed as problem dogs. I have qualifications in canine phsycology, behaviour, nutrition and training. I also hold dog and cat first aid qualifications. With bigger animals I have stable management and equine psychology. I always provide plenty of pictures of walks and home visits. I work Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 5.30. Unless i have home board dog in which case he/she will be with me all day. Home boarding is also Monday to Friday. I have a yard that is completely fenced in and the gate is securely padlocked at all times. I have a car so we can go on plenty of adventures. Dogs will be fed on the schedule provided by their owners and only on the food provided. All small furries are kept in their cages and fed on the same food they come with.

About: Dog lady, love dogs! Owner and carer of dogs for 20yrs. Recently studying dog behaviour course and have clients for both dog walking and behaviour therapy. Kisses and cuddles a plenty!! I’m a (young) retired teacher. Retrained as a dog behaviourist. I have two primary age children and need to be around for school pickup and drop off but I’m flexible with the rest of my time. I’m available Monday to Friday I have a fenced garden and two crazy fun pupsters to play with your fur baby if they enjoy play. Or an 11 yr old guy who likes to snooze if that’s what your little one prefers. Alternatively, for dog walking I have a dog mobile that I can pick up and safely collect and return your furry family member. I never walk more than three dogs at a time and by arrangement can walk separately if needed. I’m calm and patient and love my time with four legged friends so, their health and safety is paramount to me at all times 😍

About: Myself and my husband have had dogs our whole lives , however since having kids we have always looked after family and friends dogs for short and long periods of time. The only reason we don’t have an animal ourselves is due to going away and we also have the joy from our families pets we care for too. I am a full time mum with two daughters and my husband works shifts so we are around all day every day between us. School runs are the only time we wouldn’t be able to have a dog with us due to the school not allowing dogs onto the playground. We are a fun and active family so walking dogs would never be a problem! Our house is safe for kids, fully fenced out back and doors locked , so the safety for a dog escaping the house wouldn’t be an issue. We also look after our families dogs so we are very used to having dogs around.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 15 years and owned my own for 13+ years. I have 2 golden retrievers and I’ve just recently bred my youngest who had 9 beautiful puppies. I’m very friendly and love animals. I lived on a farm in the middle of a country park and walk my doggies every day. They also get lots of free roaming time around the farm as we have lots of land for them to stretch their legs and go to the toilet. Our golden retrievers are both very friendly, one is 13 years old and is the best dog you could imagine and the other is 3, nearly 4 years old and is also a very good girl who is younger and likes to play more due to her age. We have a young Daughter who is very good with the dogs and loved playing with them and helping take care of them. *(I would require any dogs staying with us to be friendly and good with children)* I work from home, my girls get walked daily and also have the freedom to roam around the farm. Your dog would have lots of walkies time, toilet breaks, and playtime. Lots of love & cuddles. We have 2 friendly dogs (golden retrievers) Which your dog could share chilled space with, or I can provide a crate if preferred. We have lots of outdoor spaces, if needs be we can make a secure place for free roaming or toilet breaks.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,153 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Amber Valley. About 85% of Amber Valley sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Amber Valley commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
