About: I owned two dogs when I was in Italy. I was responsible for caring for my dog since I was 13. My dog lived 15 years and the second is now 12 but he is in Italy with my sister. We went for walks in the forest and loved going to the park to play with other dogs. I have experience in walking different sizes of dogs. I also have 8 years experience in looking after guinea pigs. I have 2 cats that can be separated from pets boarding in a different room I am currently off work until the middle of July, so I will be at home most of the day. This means I can provide regular walks, plenty of playtime, toilet breaks, feeding, medication if needed, and lots of attention and companionship. Your pet will not be left alone for long periods and will receive consistent care throughout the day. Lots of cuddles and stimulation. Always supervised and have a pet camera. I make sure to follow the pets routine and keep owner up to date with messages and pictures

I was very nervous about leaving Tucker with anyone, as he is a very anxious dog around both people and other dogs. From the very beginning, Chloe’s communication was fantastic. She was happy to meet beforehand and do a meet-and-greet so Tucker could be introduced in a calm, relaxed way, which immediately put me at ease. The way Chloe interacted with Tucker made me feel comfortable straight away. When we dropped him off yesterday, her communication continued to be excellent. She kept me updated on how he was settling in and sent regular updates throughout the day, including lots of photos, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be using Chloe again. In fact, I’ve already booked her for next month and plan to continue doing so to help Tucker build familiarity and confidence. We’ll then be introducing overnight stays, which will make such a difference for us as a family, knowing we finally have a reliable and caring person to look after him when needed.

Here’s a warm, polished review you could post: We needed someone to look after Rupert due to a change in our work commitments, and we’re so glad we found Olivia. Olivia was absolutely fantastic with Rupert. It was clear from all the photos and videos that he had an amazing time and really enjoyed spending time with both Olivia and Jasper too! Seeing how happy he was throughout the day gave us complete peace of mind. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and Olivia kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos. They really made me smile during my workday and reassured me that Rupert was having the best time. Thank you so much, Olivia, for taking such great care of Rupert. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

About: I was the main carer for my dog for 12 years, so I understand how much love, attention, and responsibility pets need to feel safe and happy. I have also looked after several dogs in my care without any problems, always making sure they feel comfortable, well looked after, and at home. I have the time and flexibility to give dogs the attention they deserve, including long walks, playtime, and companionship. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and caring for them, and I always treat every pet with patience, affection, and kindness. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time, which allows me to give pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. I am happy to adapt to your pet’s usual routine, including how often they go for walks and how long they are used to being out. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I will always do my best to make them feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease. In my home, pets have a safe and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and well cared for. I have a closed patio that gives them a bit more freedom and space, and I also live close to two parks, which is great for walks, exercise, and giving them some variety in their routine. I genuinely enjoy having pets around the house and making them feel welcome, calm, and loved. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I like to adapt as much as possible to their usual routine and environment. I know pets feel most comfortable when things stay familiar, so I always try to keep their walks, feeding, and general routine as close as possible to what they are used to. My goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and at ease.

Contacted Nick about a short daycare for my energetic young dog. Nick was one of the fastest responders to messages I've come across here. After the initial meet and greet in which we discussed all expectations, Uist has returned after a trial daycare day, exhausted but very happy. Nick understood Uist's needs and made sure he had plenty of walks and play. On the pickup, I was quite delayed by traffic but Nick was very understanding. Can highly recommend and will use again

About: I have nine years of experience caring for cats and two years with dogs. I absolutely adore animals and treat every pet with love and care. I’m happy to give medication, clean litter trays, go for walks, and send daily photo updates so owners can feel relaxed knowing their furry friends are happy, safe, and loved. I’m a homemaker with a 14-year-old son, and I absolutely love animals! I have plenty of time to care for pets, whether it’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, litter cleaning, or simply cuddles and attention. Your furry friends will always feel happy, safe, and loved when I’m around. I can visit dogs at their own homes to care for them, keep them company, and take them for walks. I love spending time with furry friends, playing, cuddling, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I always follow the owner’s instructions so every pet feels comfortable and well cared for in their familiar environment.

Natalie was fantastic with my dog. I visited to check that my dog was a good fit and she was. Pearl came home tired and slept the car ride and for the rest of the night (must have enjoyed herself a lot). Natalie double checked the care requirements and ensured that the best care was provided for my dog. I have already booked for a weekly visit and look forward to seeing many more pictures of Pearl enjoying herself.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have over 20 years of experience caring for them. I’m also a proud dog owner to Teddy, my friendly 2.5-year-old Cockapoo, and a cat owner to Pamda, my 10-year-old cat, so I truly understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I specialise in small group dog walks, making sure each dog gets plenty of attention, exercise and safe social time. I carefully match dogs based on size and temperament, so every walk is calm, fun and stress-free. I also offer drop-in visits for cats and other small pets, including feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning and giving them company while you’re away. I understand that cats have their own personalities and routines, and I take a calm, patient approach with them. I’m reliable, patient and genuinely love what I do — every pet in my care is treated like part of the family, not just another booking. I provide regular updates and photos, so you always know your pet is happy and well looked after. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent and reliable care for your pets. I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons and weekends. I plan my walks carefully to keep small, well-matched groups, ensuring each dog gets the time, attention and exercise they need. I’m also available for regular bookings or occasional visits, depending on your needs. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality and any specific needs before starting. For dog walks, I keep small, carefully matched groups and choose safe walking routes. Dogs are always kept under close supervision, and I can follow any specific instructions such as lead walking or avoiding certain areas. For home visits, I respect your home and keep everything clean, secure and exactly as you left it. I’m reliable, trustworthy and will always keep you updated with messages and photos.

There are 1,148 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Broxtowe. About 85% of Broxtowe sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Broxtowe commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
