Really great, confidence inspiring sitter. Got on famously with our little bit tricky border terrier and I think the dog is missing Devon! Had a useful meet and greet beforehand and Devon really cared for our boy - even in the heatwave. Excellent service, would use again and highly recommended

I had to use this app to each out last minute to find a sitter, due to a cancellation, and I couldn’t be more happy. Andreia was great with my dogs, especially consider one of them is a bit of a nervous wreck. Have booked more dates with Andreia and using her as my new sitter. Highly recommend.

Scarlett was booked for an over night stay with our two labs. Unfortunately on the first day Scarlett became unwell but was able to act fast and find us alternative cover to stay over night via her family member which we agreed to. Scarlett did make sure she was back to administer medications to our dog and to walk them. The dogs still had a lovely time ☺️

I would love to meet your doggies 😊 I have a 6 foot fenced garden all the way around expect for the neighbours which is about 3/4 foot. The garden is fairly big with space to play fetch.

We're so grateful to Alice and Tommy for the lovely care and attention they gave to our little Patty. They gave him lots of exercise and opportunities too explore and sniff. Also ensured they made time to rest before ball games in the garden. They took really good care of our house and left everywhere clean and tidy. We felt they were genuine, trustworthy and very kind young people who we'd have no hesitation is asking again .We received photo's and video's which was very reassuring, we felt our little Patty was in safe hands as well as having kisses and cuddles. We would highly recommend Alice and Tommy to care for your pets.

Keisha looked after our dog Snow for 3 nights when we went away. We were so pleased with the updates we received and the time and effort Keisha spent to get to know Snow on a visit prior to us going away. Keisha left our house spotless and ensured Snow had everything she needed at all times. We would highly recommend Keisha and will definitely be using her for future dog sits. Keisha is very trust worthy and has a lot of experience which shows immediately.

Hugo has had the best time with Lauren caring for him. I chose the boarding option and was updated with photos regularly and also WhatsApp messages and through the Rover app. He has clearly been so well cared for and has been able to stick to his usual routine in a very safe and secure home environment. In fact, Hugo has just asked me when he can go to Lauren’s again, on his holidays ☺️

About: Hi, I’m Anna! I have been surrounded by animals my whole life. Growing up, our house was always full of pets. We always had family dogs, plus a huge mix of small furry creatures and reptiles too. Because of that, I am completely comfortable looking after all kinds of pets and understanding their different quirks and personalities. I am currently a PhD student, which means I am very reliable, quiet, and trustworthy. If you need in house pet sitting, I am the perfect fit because my studies allow me to spend plenty of time at your home keeping your pets company and making sure their routine stays exactly the same. Whether your dog needs a long walk to burn off energy, or you have a small pet or reptile that needs specific feeding and cage care, I can help. I love being outdoors and walking, so your dogs will get plenty of quality time outside, and back at your house I will make sure all your instructions are followed perfectly. I will send plenty of updates and photos while you are gone so you know everything is going well. I look forward to meeting your pets! Because of my schedule as a PhD student, my routine is incredibly flexible. I do a lot of my work from a desk, which means I can easily base myself at your house for day care or overnight stays, providing plenty of consistent company and supervision. My routine allows me to easily fit in morning, midday, or evening walks depending on what your dog is used to. Whether you need regular weekday check ins or full time company over the weekend, I can adapt my time to match your pet's normal schedule perfectly. Safety and trust are my main priorities when looking after your pets and your home. When I am house sitting, I treat your space with complete respect, keeping everything clean, tidy, and secure. I make sure to strictly follow your instructions regarding feeding times, routines, and where your pets are allowed to go in the house. I know that every animal is different, so I always take a patient approach. I pay close attention to their body language to make sure they are comfortable and happy, never forcing them into interactions if they are feeling shy or overwhelmed. For walks, I keep dogs on a lead unless we are in a designated safe area and you have explicitly told me they have excellent recall. Before leaving your house, I always double check that doors and gates are properly locked, and that small pets or reptiles are completely secure in their enclosures. You will get regular photo updates throughout the stay so you can see exactly how relaxed and well cared for they are.

We were absolutely delighted with Keishia. Her communication is excellent, she took time to come and visit us and see our three dogs prior to sitting. Our dogs are very different in requirements with one being nervous, one blind and one hyperactive. Keishia managed each of their needs perfectly. She respected our property, keeping it to our stansards of clean and tidy, We cannot sing her praises enough and eould very highly recommend Keishia to anyone without a hesitation Thank yoy Keishia. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Broxtowe on Rover is £34.13 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,367 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Broxtowe. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Broxtowe walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broxtowe choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
